Im praying the new POF elite specs will cause ventari rev to vanish

Core guard is pretty good… Arken & mo0bz both use it in ranked… I’ve tested out different core guard setups, and the DPS is pretty good. The survivability is somewhat questionable. Not having F2 leap or F3 shield can cause you to get fudged up pretty quickly in some cases. Having contemplation of purity is amazing though! I wish it was possible to make it work with meta DH. I feel like we might see more core builds pop up

It seems almost impossible to climb past 1700 as a solo queuer… Once you hit 1700, you gain about ~10 MMR a win, but you lose 17-20… Maybe add a shrine of the MMR God in the mists. I’ll pray to it daily.

you should not be losing -18 while getting completely dominated…

i noticed a pattern..the moment i reach 1650 ish, you will start getting 1500 as teammate and get dominated and lose 15+ rating each match for straight 3-5 matches…while before 1650 it was normal like around 10 win or lose…

I’ve noticed this too!!! I solo queue, so it’s really obvious when my team seems to be on the “low mmr” side. It’s stupid ASF!

Happens to me all the time. I’ll be doing super well and then I’ll start losing a ton of matches. I honestly chalk it up to me eventually getting teammates I’m not compatible with (not calling them bad – we just don’t work well together). I’ve lost as much as -150 MMR in a streak… but I always work my way back up to it and possibly further. Just keep at it. lose a lot, but aim to win a lot more!

I advise you instantly block flamers. It results in much nicer /w and /t messages. The only downside is potentially you may end up in a game with them again and not be able to see potential messages related to team play that are important. It’s w/e though.

Is it the one on metabattle? I want to run the same build as Mime… Trying to learn it for fun

Speaking just about PvP…

DH is strong in the right hands. You need to understand that DH struggles against sustain professions the most. DH doesn’t have enough burst to easily blow up anything with sustain… Fights against sustain classes are winnable, they just take a lot of time. Guardian used to have an easy time against Thieves, but a good thief will give a Guardian a run for their money. PvP mobility has been decent ever since Rune of the Lynx was added. In WvW I still use Traveler runes.

I enjoy the class.

I’m not sure what’s going on, but everytime I enter a match, my ping spikes crazy high. I literally cannot compete in PvP. It seems a lot of other people are having the same issue…

Not many people will know that unless they pay attention to the trap’s damage

They should be unblockable, but able to be stopped by projectile destruction or reflects…

DH was meant to be the power elite spec (I believe).

I hope they leave it alone / ensure that it’s a good/great power elite spec for PvE & PvP

Sword of Justice is kittening nasty in pvp fights imo

You can use it while not facing at your target

Also it doesnt move… so enemies can teleport away and let it spin in place

Also it can get stuck bc of objects

You can force more dodges with it

I feel like the new SoJ can be a great burst utility… We can’t really drop the two medis we need, so I think we can possibly replace ToF. The cons are, as a fight drags on, SoJ can end up being on a super long CD if you spam it all the time… The pros is we have on demand burst that stacks up to 12 vuln on a target. This might pair well with GS for bursting down targets… Sword/shield/focus would work too..

I think we should be able to end renewed focus early by pressing the skill/button again. There are too many times we can die to condis while invulnerable…

I feel you man. MMR really affects how I feel about ranked. I decided I will force myself to queue for ranked rather than unranked, just so I can get passed it

I notice a lot more people use/recommend ferocity foods/utilities instead of power. Is ferocity a better stat when you have 50% or better crit chance?

Did you ever fight Rain? I feel like he plays (played maybe, he kind of stopped) Rev extremely well. I was talking to another Guard about that today… I know I pushed myself in a lot of duels I had w/ him, and I’m only speaking for myself, but I know I tried hard as kitten in some of the duels he and I had and I still lost. Also, I’m only talking about Guard v Rev when I say this… I’m not 100% sure how they are versus the other 7 professions
