Members of Os decided to trash talk PAXA because we had some fun crashing fight clubs. Maybe if they were even a little bit respectful we would consider helping them out a bit when needed. All they’ve shown us though is 1) a carebear mentality and 2) disrespect to their own server. They like to single themselves and their “alliances” out as the only good guilds on the server, so we’ll leave them to their own business in game. Unless it’s a fight club, of course. We love killing those “afk” players.

I finally got a kinda steady 5 man team, but sadly half of them are from Fergusson Crossing. I’m trying to get them to transfer to AR, but I’m not insisting too much since FC already lack players in WvW.

Maybe if someday you start doing tPvP again (The new paid in Temple were awesome, still no deathmatch tho) whisper me for a team fight.

I haven’t tried Temple yet, maybe I’ll give it a shot! The whole capture point incentive for competitive PvP just got extremely dull to me. Is Temple any different? I’d definitely get back into tPvP if they made some change of pace.

For being part of a large alliance on my server that actually does work, you sure don’t know much about WvW if you think PAXA is a non-factor. You might as well go and say other small groups like AD/NEWL and so on are non-factors as well. Makes me sad that “members of the large alliance” on my server don’t know much about the game. I guess that’s what happens though when a guild/alliance mass invites people to form a zerg – you’re bound to get people that aren’t very good or don’t understand the multiple layers of WvW.

And by your logic, everyone also must know you’re a non-factor as well – seeing as how loud you are on the forums and how insignificant you are (doing fight clubs 2 nights in a row) in game.

Small gank groups and solos as a general rule contribute very little to the overall goal of WvW. Several smaller coordinated groups working together can be very effective and destructive. Breaking up a fight club cause you had someone telling you where it was, Not getting involved in said fight clubs(Cause you are all just so good), targeting the back ends of zergs for easy kills cause your good at hitting the same target(Golf Clap) Smashing solos.

Hmm seems to me that you cry when you are hit by 20 people , yet have no issue smashing a solo. Hypocrites the lot. Yea, non factor, non entity, irrelevant, whatever one you like, they all fit you.

Ah yes, you know exactly what we do every night. You have cameras in our rooms or something? Creepy! Don’t mention the towers we take and defend at all, the camps we take, the zergs we wipe/distract away from towers and keeps. Yes, we are completely useless, Mr. Plok! As I’ve stated before, I’m an AR pug. Our EB game is obviously horrible because the alliance only goes there to defend the keep or to mess about leading pug zergs for quick caps we have no intention of holding. [Sekz] and any other guild group running will have easy badges, thats not really anything to brag about. The pugs in EB dont read and half of them are just there to complete daily.

King fire rat, I’m not ragging on you because you did a good job, but we hardly “wiped them”. I was there and was one of the guys trying to back our zerg off of them. But our guys dont listen and kept falling for the same one trick pony again and again: lure them in by backing up then use overwhelming numbers and a portal bomb to steamroll them. Rinse. Repeat. You did a good job organizing them in order to finally push them out of Umber and retake DG, but they made a killing on badges and wiped us at least 3 times.

All I’m saying is that there’s no reason to be arguing so heavily against whether or not [Sekz] is as uber pro as they are stating. Its the same as [Paxa]. They are a group of like minded players that have found something they can do reliably to get badges. Their tactics may or may not work. That being said, the ones on this forum have the same showboat attitude that [Paxa] does, and calling people “bads” just show how immature they are.

Stop defending AR’s pride. Its a game. If someone calls you bad, don’t start forum drama and turn keyboard warrior, work on beating them in game and forcing them to change the way they think about you. No amount of storytelling whether or not its true is going to convince them that you’re good. Beating them will.

You can use 2 monk/water/air(or others) runes to max boon durations so you can start working away a bit from that tactics tree. I love the tactics tree too, but there’s other nice traits outside of it!

Well not all WvWers are like that, but a good amount.

Sadly, zerging bring people in a zone of confort where they don’t feel the need to improve.

Zerg and win a fight by spamming Aoe? We are better!
Zerg and lose a fight? They were too many.

With culling and lag, Zerg fights are pretty random and you don’t learn to fight this way.

I followed a zerg from AR leaded by TwoGallant. I think he is a really effecient commander and one of the most present on our server. But I also saw how high level zerg fights happen :

1- Spot the enemy.
2- Stack on commander
3- Charge in
4- Mass culling everywhere, spam your AoE.
5- Hope you are still aline.

That pretty much how Zerg fight went. Again this is not TwoGallant fault. He is playing so our server win, and if we want to win, we have to win using wat Anet gives us : Culling , AoE limit (and soon to be nerfed) and small map. All this make Zerging and stacking the only viable way to WvW for score.

I went off track a bit, but that’s why I think Zerg followers won’t have the same skill in pvp as old school and sPvpers/Roamers.

So Jscull, for once I agree with you. But it doesn’t make them any kind of bad, it’s just the way they learned and play it. Roamers have the advantage because they learned another facet of WvW.

As you mention it, I started on UO, and that’s why I also prefer WvWing. Sure I miss the full loot and the free world pvp, but WvW isn’t that far.

I just think you could find a more respectful way of saying it.

Bringing zergs our way helps the server. When they decide to chase us for 20 minutes around the map instead of being useful, it helps NSP zergs. Unfortunately NSP needs more zergs for us to help haha. NSP is really hurting on the numbers area. It’s bad for every kind of group in NSP WvW.

Just for the record, having fought both PAXA and GOAT, I was far more concerned when PAXA was nearby. That’s not to say that GOAT doesn’t have some good players, but on a squad versus squad basis I think PAXA is more dangerous.

I’m not saying you should go in sPvP, I personally still play sPvP, but get bored really fast because like you, I don’t like capping node.

I’m just explaining the difference between a WvW player and a sPvP player. Stop playing WvW for a week, and play sPvP. I did it once and when I came back the skill level was just so different. People slot no stun breaker, and there is lot of GC with no defensive cooldown.

Jscull just get annoying over time. I get the trolling act, but I’m sure you could find something else to attract roamers, and still be respectful.

Also, zerg are part of the WvW game. Your guild can’t post about it every time they swarm you.

This week, I usually roam alone. Yesterday I got killed by your group while I was handling a siege. 5 on 1, pretty much like when you get jumped by a zerg. But I won’t post crying about it, that’s how WvW is. You’ll get outnumbered, and you’ll die (except if you are a DD elem).

Which BL are you roaming aorund this week? I have a hard time finding you. Still NSP?

We post about getting zerged in response to people saying we run from anything more than 6 when the numbers are much greater in reality than that. It’s not complaining, it’s a factual statement. Other than that, jscull’s posts are usually of the kind “zerging takes no skill, run a small man.” I can see how that can be viewed as a complaint against zergs, but it’s just his way of promoting 5 mans. We know fully well there will always be times when we are outnumbered, haha.

Edit: We’re usually in the borderlands that seems to have the most action. And you can always use the ignore function on jscull if you really find his posts that annoying.

People won’t respect PAXA if your guild post thing like this :

Those kind of post are just annoying, and people will zerg you even more for that.

WvW isn’t sPvP. If you have a premade roaming group, you WILL stomp any pugs you come around. Even if they are the same guild, 90% of people aren’t on TS with each other.

If you have any experience in sPvP and acceptable gear, you’ll win at least 80% of your even fights. A large population of WvW are PvE player trying to get keep and tower. They follow the zerg and auto attack.

They aren’t ready for premade/TS group with experience in PvP.

If PAXA member would be a bit less condescending about it I’m sure you guys would be respected on the forum.

Oh yes, I know many in guild smaller groups aren’t in vent. Sometimes when I’m running with 1 or 2 other people in guild I’m not in a VoIP client either (just don’t feel like it sometimes haha).
Those quotes you got there are just jscull’s way of stirring the pot to get more small man groups hunting us. It has worked, but it has also, like you said, made zergs hunt us as well. I’m fine with zergs hunting us, if they’re attacking a keep and peel off of it for 20 minutes of chasing us, that’s a win for us in my opinion.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, sPvP is NOT for 5v5s. It’s all capture point dull objective based where you’ll get 2v2s between bunker builds that last forever. Hopefully they change that at some point. While 5v5s are few and far between in WvW, it makes the game worth playing as they are extremely fun.

The fact is people are trash talking about us running from fair fights. They should back up their talk with a 5 man (maybe 10 man sometime when we have our friendly somewhat alliance friends running with us) and fight us as the stories they have been pulling out of their rears are exactly what comes out of that end.
