i totally agree with what you say. there was a time when 6 of us from (RISE) were running around in eb and about 10 – 15 fc showed up and wiped us. we came back out and ran into them again and we managed to wipe them. for some reason we kept running into them and they wiped us again but we did manage to get a few kills in the process. i dont remember seeing any1 from RISE come on the forums and talk smack about roflstomping and stuff like that. both sides fought each other hard and we enjoyed the fights win or lose.

luck like skill also plays a factor in fights. ive been on both sides of the luck game in fights. where every big attack is dodged somehow and heal is interrupted immediately. its not always easy to interrupt a heal or dodge attacks. alot of times it is hit or miss but there are those times when it seems you miss everything and are interrupted on every heal. it happens.

i dont boast because i can lose just as easily as i can win. most of the time if solo roaming and i win ill either bow, salute, or kneel. but there are those that feel the need to laugh, sit, or dance. pointless is what that is especially if the person you beat was solo and there were 3 – 10 of you. i like to try and return the favor when that happens and make sure i down or stomp said person and laugh, dance, or sit on them. other times ill just stand there for a few seconds just so they know it was me.. then i take off and not even acknowledge them with an emote.

Shout out to Basic [BS], definitely one of the toughest groups in this tier! Had a lot of fun 1v1ing and GvGing you guys. Also to the [BS] warrior getting naked and spamming the /cry emote on naked Asura….. hahahahahhahahahaha

aka Angelic Renae, I have gone up against these guys on numerous occasions, plus a Engineer from Yarr (Spectreal). Always a blast to go toe to toe.

I did get a kick out of a fellow GoM member saying he was going to report me for 1v1 after I didn’t help him out when he jumped in (when I clearly warned him) during a friendly session inside Titan’s area. As long as my foe isn’t attempting to take our BL stuff, I have no problems being cordial (not spiking and not interfering with a bout) about a face off.

BTW, to that guardian whoever you are, I had just stopped those 2 from taking titan causing them to back off and eventually leave. A lot more than you seemed to accomplish by coming back time and time again waving your scepter.

its always fun when we are on together.. i love reading. " 3-5 invaders at Titan ".. then 2 – 3 minutes later i read " I took care of them.. Titan is saved ", by ange of course. I do miss it when me and you would run into SPCA though. Had a blast fighting teivospy and wafflez. i hope we get to do it again sometime but there are plenty of good players in T8 as well.

I did get to 1 v 1 the Yarr engi at fight nite spectreal and as i assumed he beated me but i think i gave him a little run. i made a mistake though but i still think the outcome would have been the same. GF to you engi.

SS guild. was it you 3 against 3 gom at fight nite? those were some good fights, and i definitely enjoyed the gvg against Basic. i miss seeing you all running around gom though.

RH does not hack, ever, period.

Perhaps you don’t know this, but the reason GoM is in T8 is because of hackers. GoM got a bad rep for being the “hacking server.” While there where definitely hackers in GoM (which we on GoM reported constantly), so did all the other servers. But this “OMG GoM is dirty server of dirty hackers” thing got so bad, that many of our guilds transferred to other server.

Those of us who stayed on GoM HATE hackers, and we take any hints of hacking very seriously. If you have actual proof of hacking, PM it to anyone on GoM and I promise you that the GoM alliance will mass report them into oblivion. If you don’t have proof, then keep it to yourself. Baseless accusations don’t help anything.

well im glad your server will clean up hackers whenever you see em, I didn’t expect to get attacked this hard for pointing out one I saw, if my computer didn’t crash everytime I try to take a screenshot I would have taken a pic of it but even then it would have been kinda hard to do that. Im pretty new to GW2 so my apologies. droping it now.

If you are new to gw2 then you should ask a vet from your server and they could probably explain the whats and hows.. one of the norn transformation skills has a skill that they can cover a great distance in a short time. also doesn’t a rangers pet also take a condition or kd and anything like for the ranger? plus condition removal signet?

it is really sad that GoM has to resort to using hacks in order to get ontop… yesterday saw a few people from the [ART] guild using speed hacks when the magically capped ET garrison, Hills, Bay which were all fully upgraded in under 5mins when u didn’t even knock down hills walls/gate and we had control of it for over 4hrs, then today 2 people from [RH] (Raven Hold) an eng and a hunter using auto dodge hacks, dodging any immobilizes thrown at them even in the middle of being pounded on..so in my opinion if GoM wins this week they didn’t deserve it at all, lost all my respect.

This confused me as well. You all broke in with your Golem army, rushed inside, jumped up on the roof…and then proceeded to get the snot beat out of you by a swarm of angry GoM. Was that part of the plan…or did something go awry? I was fully expecting to lose our Garrison at that push…but you apparently took too long setting up some spectacular finish before we swarmed in and squashed it.

Was a fun fight, but left me scratching my head honestly.

And, to the human mesmer who was continually attempting to port people in past the SW upper gate: Good job. No hard feelings though. I felt bad having to put down a fellow mesmer. But, you were in our house.

they even killed the keep lord.. and alot of us and our seige.. but instead of taking the garrison they ran back up around the roof.. ran down and up and around some more then went back to the open gate and died there.. i understand the tactic of running around and trying to split us up to pick us off but they really weren’t trying to capture or stop us from rezzing people inside..

We had about 25 [Agg] on tonight. This picture doesn’t really say much when it’s a mashed group of two enemy server’s players.

If you’re going to call a server out for zerging, don’t post pictures and videos of a guild that fields 20-25 players in a server vs server vs server PvP match-up. Just because you get beaten doesn’t necessarily mean your enemies numbers were greater than yours. Of course that will happen in certain cases, but most of the time we are outnumbered since we tend to roam as just a guild-mates and we play in NA prime time which is when all 3 servers have large groups of players roaming around. We try not to roam with non-guildies if we can help it.

But anyway, nice fighting in GoM bl tonight, guys!

i have not been able to throw seige that far up.. dont know if it is an exploit or not but unless dev’s say otherwise ( if they have i haven’t read it) standing outside a seige block zone and throwing seige back into it is not exploiting. if it was then anet would have extended the seige block radius so seige could only be placed where they see fit and fair. also the placement of those is easily countered with a treb.

I see two seperate issues here personally.

1) Even after playing a thief and a mesmer to 80, I still think stealth is overpowered. I personally believe the best way to fix stealth is to make it impossible to stealth while in combat, while also buffing the duration of stealth granted by the various skills. In my opinion, this would make stealth “fair”.

2) One player with a hand weapon should not be able to lockdown a waypoint. I can think of two possible fixes off the top of my head. Either, A – Siege damage to the walls/doors will contest the waypoint for the timer duration or B – Destroying a gate or wall permanently contests the waypoint until repaired enough to close them (15% I think? I forget the exact percentage).

Should ask the ASH folks at GoM how it was to face probably the best T8 engi (he was HGH). Im sure they didn’t like deaths in 3 seconds from condi builds.

hey.. i think i lasted longer than 3 seconds the third time i tried him.. i was the ULT ele there. that was the first time i fought a HGH engi. i thought about using cleansing flame but i dont see it making a huge difference. i would have never been able to re cast it. i thought about also trying S/D for extra condition removal but probably wouldn’t have been effective but i dont know unless i try.
i run dd ele and i know dd eles are strong but we shouldn’t be able to beat everyone and i dont beat everyone. im sure confusion mesmers have their counters and i dont know but im sure HGH engies have thier counters too. if engis beat every class/build 1 v 1,, then HGH needs a little nerf but if there is a counter to it then it should be left alone.

confusion mesmers are hard to fight when played right.. i fought a few and usually ends in a tie.. yesterday was the first time i fought a confusion engi and i have to say so far they are way worse than mesmers.

now i only fought him a couple times and he could have slept wipe me but maybe i haven’t fought him enough to figure out a rythm or good tactic to use.. ive tried a couple things but failed miserably. i dont run cleansing flame but maybe i can try that next time but this engi seemed to be able to keep confusion stacked on plus all the other conditions. also they can put out some decent damage as well.

ik there are other classes that probably could give that engi a good fight but is there anything an ele can do, besides running, or is it just my death counter. i cant fight an engi the same way i fight a mesmer cause its a big fail, ive tried.

Honestly I don’t even remember what guild it was. This was waaaaaaaay back (probably September) when we didn’t have any actual commanders yet. I stopped playing shortly after that and just came back about 2-3 weeks ago, so he might not even be on GoM anymore. At least we can hope.

most of the troll commanders and other indivduals have left gom.. we still have some but just ignore and have fun playing.

it would appear that SF and DH could be a match made in heaven. the scores seem similar to when DH was in t7 with us and hod. the underdog of t6 could be the one that decides the winner between SF and DH.. or SF and DH could be so busy killing each other that the underdog could just sit back and watch the points tally and maybe win..

An odd sight in GoM BL tonight. Perhaps the world is coming to an end: PAXA catapulting Woodhaven. Felt I needed to screenshot it to prove it actually happened.

Not as odd as you might think, it’s an age-old tradition held by PAXA and friends to catapult a tower or keep in order to draw out a zerg to kill. It is a necessary evil that we must endure at times.

Lol, I did suspect that might be their actual goal.

Next time you see them, just let them get the wall down and see if they’ll actually take it =)

there were 3 of us HH and we were between garrison and bay when some of you came back and we had a nice fight going and you would have won if reinforcements didn’t come.. but in terms of pvp you beat us again.. we found you again and you had a GT friend of mine and well we tried but no way..lol.. but i still had fun.

Yes, that was fun. We only realized we had an audience after we stopped fighting ( splt and spca weren’t part of the fight, they were watching as well).
