NSP: Doesn’t field impressive numbers overall, numerous times was outmanned in EB, however they’re not afraid to take their zerg to the opponents borderlands and claim ground there. Also is led by some small, but very organized guilds. I may not like the behavior of some of the XOXO members, but their skill has never been in doubt.

Thank you this is a great compliment. It was a fun match up although things looked grim when it started last friday.

My observation of DH. Lots of number, lots of ressources, insane amount of players, well organised and zerg is good at sticking together. My only negative observation is that I haven’t seen DH take a tier 3 major tower without tons of golems the whole week.

that’s how your supposed to do it.. build 20 golems and overwhelm it. if you cant melt the gates.. its not worth doing.

Got to love the poor class of Os on NSP. After a great fight in which it was 2v6 (me and Pita) in which they finally got us down after we had gotten 3 of them, we had another big fight at vale. It went back and forth beginning as a 3v3 and ended up at least 6v6 with GoM finally coming out on top. I ran into Os back at the ruins and figured I would pay them some respect by bowing. They jumped me so I figured I’d back off and give them space. I went to the bridge at briar and bowed again just to get jumped again. After a few minutes of fighting, they got me (1v6) and their classy commander laughs. I’m not exactly sure what you felt by that but i suppose when it takes 6 to kill one guy, you need to buff your ego somehow.

Between you targets buff line and his “Golden” title you see a black outline in the distance on the arch scratching his head.

Didn’t think you were worth chasing since every time we fought GoM and you started to lose you just ran to an NPC/Camp/Into tower (which is what happened at vale if you failed to notice your mesmers just standing in NPC range lol).
This time you were too slow.
I myself may laugh when I spiked someone through the head who just kept running away (clone tp or something) when their hp was low. Although I prefer a good shrug.

Vaks tag wasn’t on, it was just bug buffed. Happens when you log off with it on.
And oh my your graphics are low.

I try to stay as long as possible in a 1vX situation. As it was, I bowed in the ruins, then backed off to the bridge and bowed again. 2 then followed me down and attacked me on the bridge, so I began to fight back. When it became 4+, I backed to the NPC’s. At that point you guys had 6 on me so am I suppose to just stay and die or try to go into the tower?? I still don’t know why I didn’t make it back into the tower. I used blink but it must have glitched or I got downed the instant I teleported, since I ended up right at the entrance to the tower.

As far as vale is concerned, I never once ran back to the NPC’s. In fact, aside from being knocked off the top area a few times, I stayed on that ramp the entire time. I did see the necro (not Os I understand) and one of your other allies go running away from that encounter (towards the hill on the south side of the camp where your spawn is). I know about the necro since I was tearing him up when he ran off so I turned towards the rest of you all.

well you don’t have to worry about the necro at vale.. I got him for ya.

This happens to me daily, why do you care, I sure don’t.

Had great time on gom bl earlier today, 3 rangers trying to flip camps muhaaaaa, tuff to do when you dc running to the nearest camp from the wp, one of us finally gave up so got down to 2 of us doing it, gom guys showed up of course and the out come was alot of dieing by me and gremika (me ninnika).
well got to the point of us standing at our legendairies watching them take back the last camp laughing and pointing and stuff and a couple ran up asking for duels so i got brave and jumped down, sorry for refusing to duel the mesmer, as bad as the lag was and as good as she was it was a no go from the start there for me (had already mangled me to death a couple of times lol) so we settled on a couple of ele’s for me, good sports they turned out to be and good duels too even though they downed me, look me up again guys when we aren’t speed warping, dc’ing constantly would like to try that bunker ele again muhaaaa

I was there. after you guys took water and i think it was your uplevel that laughed at us. i took a little nap then i got bored and tired of waiting for the RI to go away so i dove in. everyone else followed me and well it was a fun fight. and of course not many people like to fight our mesmer. i say ange cheats but oh well..lol.. jk ange dont transfer servers and kill me. but anyway the duels were fun. i was the sylvari ele. so anytime you want to duel just hit me up. you guys left before i could ask for a 2 v 1.

The south camp was probably blue first. The blue yak would have moved out onto it’s route before GoM came to the camp to flip it. If a camp flips, that doesn’t mean it’s yaks automatically die.

Yaks stop at enemy towers because they follow a specific path every time. ANet never programmed a route that takes the yak straight to a keep, and I theorize that it’s partially because it would make yak-running too easy. Don’t worry though, yaks will never drop supply at an enemy tower.

im the one that flipped the camp. i was defending the camp. the yak spawned about 3 minutes after i capped it. it spawned after i died defending it.

which means that ~3 minutes after i capped the camp and made it red.. a blue yak spawned. ive seen it happen plenty of times before when enemy yaks appear at same time i flip camp but never seen it happen minutes after i cap a camp.

and yaks skipping towers, its not gonna make it that easy except for mendons.. but it should skip it.

I think it just looked that way to you as you weren’t watching the entire sequence.

What I would bet actually happened was the yak was on a return trip when you flipped the camp.
A returning yak’s image always lags far from where it actually is.
A returning yak can actually still supply at an enemy camp and continue on it’s journey if not killed. At least, I assume it has resupplied. That part I do not know for certain. I do know that they can make the trip back to the tower from an enemy camp.

i have seen it before when a yak is making a return journey. ik they are never in the right spot when that happens. “target yak.. start RTL.. why am i heading to the camp instead of the yak?”

but what you are saying is that if the yak was heading back to the camp, and even though i flipped the camp and pretty much 3 minutes after i flip the camp, the yak can still spawn for the enemy?

also, from the time i saw the yak spawn and after i realized it wasn’t a friendly yak, as well as after the chat posts i made in game to find out how it happened,, and of course someone would say hack,, to the time i took the pic of the map was about 2 minutes, so the distance traveled for the yak is about right for the spot the yak is at.

so the turn of events went pretty much like this, i flipped camp, not too long after i saw an invader so i engaged him but more show up. roughly 7 or 8 of them total so i retreat to the camp and we fight for a bit. they kill me and i click on the guild lord and see he still has just over 2m left on RI. thats when i see the yak appear, and the yak does its thing and mosey on through the crowd of invaders making its way to the bridge. i ask in chat how this happens and i get the usual responses of someone hacked or game bug or idk and idc with some responses for some lol’s. i check the guild lord again and its RI is just under 50 seconds. i looked at themap and to wp and changed my mind and thought i would take kitten and of course shortly after, the camp was flipped again.

ive searched the forums and really didn’t find too much on it, mostly about being stuck in the terrain.. i know i can use a force movement skill or log off but dont want to do that or waste a skill that i may need later. ik there are alot of bugs anet needs to fix and probably of higher priority than this but just wondering if they knew and if they were looking into it?

I do not know if this happens in pve or not but in wvw it happens to me sometimes.

example 1. lets say i only have 4 supply left and helping build another siege with it. when i use up the 4 supply i try to head back or go to supply camp but i cant move.
It seems the build/repair goes through the entire process of 10 supply even if you have less and wont let you move until its completed, but sometimes even after i still cant move unless i use lightning flash or updraft.

example 2. I was chasing invader from inside vale in red map. chased him up over the wall and down outside vale heading towards briar. i used ride the lightning to close the gap but after RTL was finished i couldn’t move. He got so far away that i was out of combat and still couldn’t move. there were no conditions on me. i was not immobilized, stunned, or anything. i could not move. i could cast spells but could not move unless i used a skill that moved my character from the spot i was stuck like RTL, or UPDRAFT, or LIGHTNING FLASH. I could have also used a way point to move but then its a waste to run all the way back.

most of the time i notice it happens after i use RTL that i cant move. sorry i have no pics but during the course of fighting the pic might capture stuff that wasn’t there before like immobize. and the example 2 i didn’t think about taking the pic.

in my opinion.. when you leave ET it will create alot more instability in t8. but if you feel you have to leave and in search of newer opposition, battles, strategies, etc.. and based on past scores and current matchups i would suggest IoJ, BP, or AR.

i would guess IoJ would be better, and could probably bring balance to that tier.
SF seems to be struggling during the weekdays and im assuming DH fields more than SF does. and with IoJ being even lower pop DH can focus more on SF. so to me if you went to IoJ, that would take some pressure off of SF and give a boost to both servers possibly balancing that tier.

There is quite a few DR, that have a lack of maturity and it’s really getting on my nerves.

I instruct my troops to be polite and respectful of the people they kill. Ending with /bow or /salute. No dancing, no laughing, no jumping and utterly NO teabagging. I want them to be honourable.

There are a couple of people from AD who have a bad habit of dong this. I’ll ask them to stop. However, people are free to do what they want to do. This is a game. I’d suggest not taking things like this personally.

but agreed.. i find that most of these emote players are bad players and have to do such things when they win to make themselves feel better. you cant always hunt them down considering most of the time they are with a group and wont give you the opportunity to get revenge. but when i get the chance and if i manage to get my revenge alot of times ill stand there. they seem to be waiting for the revenge /sit. but i dont do it i just stand there for a bit just so they know who i was. then i leave and i dont give them the satisfaction that they were laying there dead waiting for.

not sure who did this but taking a keep before taking towers.. that’s something i would try to do. wonder if it was HH executing that or taking part in it.

as for the WvW guild that transfered from HoD. I wasn’t there for that but sometimes you bring a large force to a location to draw enemy forces there and use a small force to gain the objective that you want. when people see 20+ golems marching to thier land they sometimes freak and want to destroy them and call the server to do so leaving other points undefended.

but my question is why did they transfer to GoM. rumor has it they hate all of gom so why not transfer to FC or ET. anytime im in EB and reading the chat almost seems like they are talking down to GoM. im not sure what was or is going on at the time but when i come to eb and read " GOM " then the next line says " stay 2 feet away from me " well it doesn’t sound too friendly, and our pve players that come to wvw might find it offensive and quit playing wvw. now that the super mario box is over i see a huge difference in wvw. i would rather keep our pve community that plays wvw and has helped us win matches than to have a wvw guild that supposedly hates GoM.

With so many trolls about, what do you expect? No one is going to really come OUT to grab a single person, whom might run off and lead them into a trap. Puh-lease. Now if you meet out in the field, different story. They won’t drop a ballista in the field. But if you are coming to a tower to taunt them out, chances are they aren’t coming out. Traps are afoot and my boys are smarter than that.

I’d think with the moving on up and getting away from the T8 plebes, one would be above this muck rolling. Maybe it’s a ploy. The more of you on here responding, the less in the game farming now-meaningless PPT for GoM.

So what you are saying is since GoM already won this week there is no need for them to play WvWvW even though most of them bought the game for WvWvW. Thats like compaining about PvDoor.. If the other servers aren’t on then we shouldn’t play the game.

about the spawn camping in eb.. i was there when it was just 3 gom there.. there were a upleveled engi and mesmer.. i just wanted my daily kills and only needed 3 and had a hard time finding that without getting zerged or attacking wall/gate which gives no kills until destroyed. once i got my 3 kills i left the spawn area.

who knows.. maybe as stated in a few posts earlier they were going after bay in gom bl and never took it. tried for 3+ hours.. perhaps bandito and kaar made them rage/quit/xfer

really.. only once.. I was there for that then when they assaulted bay. trebbing inner wall from vale. i had to go after we wiped them there the first time.. dont know if they managed to take bay or not afterwards. from the looks of it they had 20 – 25.. and based on the green dots we had 30 – 35.
after watching them alot i think honeybuns described it best with the music video of agg in the last thread. a must watch if i may say.

yeah.. im GoM.. was too lazy to make a sig but i did now. i remember when SF was tanking through the tiers and when you were in t7 ( dont know if you were with SF then ) GoM won those matches. eventually you dropped to t8 and of course kaineng steam rolled through the tiers killing the glicko system. more like a glitcho system after all that happened. since then SF has gotten much stronger and with a higher player base. of course the score would show you being t6 server ( possibly even t5 ) but i think alot of GoM would still love to match up with SF to test ourselves and for the hard fight.

While a noble goal, honestly, I don’t think you would fair much better then NSP or HoD at this point. IE: You would lose, and lose badly.

Not to be rude, but GoM is barely 50K above FC at this point (and SF used to easily double our combined score) not to mention that SF is cruising 60K above what was the first place server on the tier you were last place in.

So, in reality the outcome would be, You would be overrun, stomped, and beaten back to your spawn point on a daily basis, and only if you had a good night/very early morning coverage and a strong base of die hard players would you have any chance to do any bit of good.

But, like anything, I kinda hope you get your wish, would be nice to see if I am wrong or not.

its not about winning or losing… its about the fight.. since the days of AR and BP.. and SOR.. we are used to being overrun, stomped, and beaten back to our spawn. even yaks bend did the same thing.
as i have said, SF is a t6 or maybe even a t5 server. they have to get through DH to do that. i stil think GoM is a t7 server when new pve content isn’t going on.
i dont expect to beat SF i just want to fight them before they move up.

If you are GoM (assuming), I would think you guys are moving up this week (HoD implosion)?

I was told by the Gods Of Glicko that post in T7 that SF would be here another week barring any drastic changes. We would love to have a new 1/3 to love on up here!

Every time I read about this supposed FC/GoM tag-teaming, I QQ inside. Because GoM and ET have never, ever both run up FCBL at the same time, have they?

There’s no tag-teaming. There’s no alliance. There’s no conspiracy. ET just has blood in the water and we’re all circling it at the moment. And, yeah, we lost our upgraded Bay and Garrison to GoM. But I’m okay with that when I get to wipe a whole, whole, whole bunch of ET.

see that’s the thing I don’t understand, you leave the door wide open for GoM to take Garrison and Bay but stop ET from taking 1 hill (seems like they left the door wide open for their garrison for you to take as well) im not saying their is an alliance going on but it sure does seem like it, I very rarely see GoM and FC hit each others BL but if they do its just 1 tower or camps.

In the last hour, I’ve defended the inner garrison gate on my borderland from Ferguson’s Crossing and right now we’ve taken Bay and Garrison on their homeland with big orange sword level zergs on both side.

aye.. me was there at garrison.. me built a superior ballista to try and defend and if not i kill their rams and try to close the door on em.. me did also kill one of thier commanders who tried to kill me ballista..
on a side note.. that poor commander.. i fired at her and she must have gotten stuck in the little ditch and got nailed. i just managed to get the shot off too right before she dissappeared. and after i just kept hitting her with my ballista til she downed and dead.
i salute you, you poor brave soul. luck just wasn’t on your side at that time.

yeah.. i told you to quit and run away while you were ahead.. thats what i would do.
but it was fun fighting them today even though me and the guardian like in the past couldn’t get the drop on each other. which is why when we 2 v 2 them and you went down and thier necro went down and it was just me and guardian and i fully healed.. i figured time to /bow and call it even.

also, ET, did you do something to make FC mad??

i was there at bay when we pushed Agg out.. i logged off under good fashion.. but im sure they are not done yet.
