I would like to thank all the DH in the jp last night.. It was fun having fights with you. I know there weren’t many DH or GOM there but we had our own little fight night.
DH guild tags (INC) and (Abys).. you guys are cool and hope to do that again sometime.

On a side note, I do have to wonder why the culling issue is far worse in EB than it is in the BLs. This strikes me as odd because ANET states its on their end. Of course I suppose the EB map could be on a different location than the others (be it physical or virtual or both)
Maybe the Jumping Puzzle is the reason why. the eb jumping puzzle is different than other bls because it has many traps. I’ve noticed when someone triggers a fire trap my game slows down and lags considerably. This could be affecting eb lag and gameplay more than you see on other bl.
Maybe Anet needs to make the eb jp its own separate map. They put the most popular jp that has alot of trap triggers in with the most popular map because its a constant fight for sm castle. That = lag to me. Could this be the problem?

So, Darkhaven’s guild Darkhaven Elite [DHE] aren’t that elite after all, if all they can waste their time doing is attacking pacifists in the jumping puzzle with a group of 4 to 6 people. Just putting that out there. Bunch of kittening kitten.
I’m on of the DHE you accused. As said we went there with 5 people just to do our JB for the night after CoF. When we entered we got great with a barrage of Batista and arrow cart, not to mention 4-5 of you guys camping the entrance. So 15 min laters we built our own cat and treb to take out your sieges and kill your campers.
Btw, in the end we completed the guild run and that’s our original purpose. Right after we finished we left as we weren’t there to camp or kill “pacific jumper”, the killing was just a bonus pay back. If you want to complain, tell the guys on your server to stop the camping and everyone will be happy :P
Right before we were camping the arena we had to fight invaders of DH camping the arena. You were killed as part of the payback too. Before DH probably HOD camping. before that probably GOM (my server) camping. I’m not stating the DH is starting it, its everytime i come through DH is the one killing everyone. Also, its not just the eb jp its the bl jps too. <5% of the time do i ever have problems with HOD. >90% of the time i have problems with DH.
it was nice to see some of DH being peaceful. Those with the guild tag LIVE especially. Even though they suffered the payback program as well and even after i attacked them and they killed me, they allowed me to be rezzed, and we all kneeled to each other.
There were some HOD in there .. 1 was a necro and i hope they made it up there though peacefully.

Reviving is a part of the game and you just have to learn to factor it in. It’s one of my favourite mechanics for various reasons.
One such reason is this: Often you’ll have a zerg force outside a keep, or a zerg v zerg going at it. You get those D/D eles who love to think they’re the shizit by pushing the boundaries hard, messing up, and dropping. They have mist form as their get out of jail free card, flee from downed into the “safety” of their zerg, and get a res so they can do a rinse repeat of their ever used ginger bread man tactics. That’s where I come in.
I keep an eye on these players. When they go down I start a pursuit and chase after their mist form. When I get within range, right in the middle of their zerg, I spawn 3 clones, drop a TW, shatter for distortion, stomp, and blink/prestige back to the safety of my lines.
I can only imagine these players going “OMG, WTF!” every time

On the other hand, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve activated Mist Form at ~10% health just to have someone follow me into my zerg, probably thinking I was downed, and get focus fired down instantly.
In WvW, D/D Eles excel at disrupting their enemies. If you break formation, they’ve probably won.
lol.. i like doing that too. its really funny when 5 people chase me back to my zerg just to find out im not downed and fully healed ( mist form, water attunement, dodge roll, glyph of elemental harmony ) . then they are downed and im standing on top of them to do some stomping, or im just laying aoe all around them while some others do the stomping. while they are stomping other invaders trying to hit them and down them first so i use churning earth and lightning flash right into the group of them and they scatter like roaches when you turn the lights on.

Since downed state is a way of everyone trying to survive, everyone should have a way of going into a tower/keep or safety of their zerg like ele can.
There should be a set of downed skills that we should be able to choose from to use in our downed state to better work with how we are playing. This way we can build a downed state based on whether we are running with a zerg or small group or solo play.
If you rally or are rezzed from downed state you should have 75% health so you are not insta downed from aoe or anything like that. You should be able to join the fight again without just falling right back down.
Players should suffer a downed penalty that starts them with less hp each time they are downed. If after 2 – 3 times they are downed the next time should = insta death.
Dead players should suffer a death penalty. When you are rez from death you start with 50% health then 25% until you can no longer be rezzed and have to wp out.
Well just my ideas. Don’t know if they would be good or not.

ok.. so they nerfed aoe so that we can only hit 5 people with an attack but i can get portal bombed by 20 people.. i think if aoe damage is limited to up to 5 players then portals should be the same..

i dont want to take portals away from being used offensively . im just saying that if aoe is limited then basically everything should be limited. if 20 people portal in and im able to hit a aoe spell before they kill me then all of them should be hit. who knows that could be the difference between defending and losing. could slow them up a bit.
i do like your idea about portal ranges between mesmers like seige placement
what if they had something like portal sickness where you cant cast a skill or utility for 3 seconds. would at least give defenders a chance until they fix the rendering/culling issues
also, is there any real way to defend against it other than firing seige and running aoe everywhere blindly hoping to get a few hits. like fighting 20 thieves…lol

My opinion,, attacking a keep outside wall or gate should not contest the wp.. only the inner wall or gate of keep should contest it.. either that or like walls , player attacks do no damage to gates.. only seige can to it. but this wont really fix lowlands keep since you can attack the gate underwater and cant really hit it with seige effectively..

I totally agree.. have a set of slot 1 skills to choose from. slot 2 skills and so on. each slot would have a set of skills to choose from for your weapons. i also think there needs to be more underwater weapons so we have more underwater skills that we can use. definitely bring back some of that gw1 feel in almost a limitless possibility of builds. also i am a little dissappointed in the elite skills. elite skills should be ELITE. example.. the tornado skill isn’t really that bad, but the fact you can still be downed while in tornado form is bad. like some other skills tornado should have its own life force so either the life is drained and you turn back or time runs out. the take root elite i like. you are invulnerable to damage and you make about 4 seed turrets. but summon a cat that fights by your side and dies easy is not elite.

I can start the instance. After I swim down the drain the line updates to say keep searching.. I go through the tunnel as the green arrow indicates on my mini map but no progress. nothing updates and i cant seem to clear that instance.
