It makes me so annoyed when this sort of thing happens.
Sad thing is we could program the perfect matchmaking system and/or dishonor system and give it to Anet free and they still wouldn’t implement and fix this rubbish we have. They have been completely incompetent when it comes to this.
Don’t even get me started on these, the drop rate and TP price is just ludicrous.
Besides the SB and Rifle I love them all.
The simple design and homage to GW1 is something the game needed IMO.
That would be awesome, you could really match the outfit to your weapons with this.

The leader-board is pure farming, I know quite a few bad players with high ranks that just because they farm ranked games not caring if they win or lose all day long.
I love PvP but really have no love for the leader-board system ATM.
I find the new system better on a general basis but when I’m on flat ground, stairs in WvW, the Legacy of the Foefire base and other places it should work where it doesn’t……….. so.much.hate!!!
Sometimes I lose faith in humanity, the OP is a perfect example of this……. SMH

I don’t measure ping through the in-game option screen, I use tools to track it, or I just use resource monitor for basic fast checking.
Please Anet, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD fix the ping, get better servers, do something!
I’m sure you have made enough money and have good enough people to make this better for your user base.
One day I get 200 ping, the next 700. (in Australia btw)
It never used to be this bad, it used to go from 200-350 but for the past couple of months it had become unplayable at times in sPvP/WvW.
We (person I live with and myself) tried to get tech support from you and the answer was “get another ISP, its not us”.
I send all the test data to my ISP and they were adamant it was on your end. Even then they at least tried to help us.
This is the only game I have with such large ping variance like this.
I can’t see it being on my end when all the other games work with a ping of 200-250 average.
Plus I know it’s not just me, I see the many threads here and on the reddit with users having similar issues.
I know Australia has meh/bad internet and a huge pipeline to travel through before we connect to the rest of the world but with that in mind would it be prudent to make sure the best service on your end to not hinder an already bad setup.
I’ve forwarded the ports, changed my SNR margin, got a new modem, used clientport 80, tried enabling/disabling interleaving and using a tunneling service. I got my ping to lower numbers but the fluctuation is still horrible.

Some of you guys really give Anet no win….. If they don’t disable HOM and people did the glitch you go nuts, if they disable HOM you go nuts, some of you need a little Valium and a drink.
Lets actually be logical and stop being so entitled please. Between making an expansion, maintaining the the game, making twitch feeds and the plethora of other things I’m sure it isn’t a 2 second job to fix HOM.
Chill, play the game and wait patiently, that’s the common sense thing to do. Complaining doesn’t make it go faster.
So from what I’m gathering it will take;
- 3 Mini Llamas to make a Mini Fancy Llama
- 3 Mini Fancy Llama to make a Mini Elegant Llama
- 3 Mini Elegant Llama to make a Mini Lavish Llama
…..that’s 27 Mini Llamas to make a Mini Lavish Llama.
I have A LOT of sPvP to do, I NEED THIS MINI!!!!!!
Though TBH this is borderline unobtainable under current methods of obtaining the Llama but it doesn’t hurt to try.
I wish Anet would just permaban people like this if they do it more than once.

Gaile already stated that she relays the info to the gem store team. She also stated that usually gem store items rotate in and out of the store occasionally.
For other items this is true, but this is not the case for the Bunny ears, Aviator glasses and a few others.
For some reason they never come back unlike most items.
That’s probably why people get obsessive about the Bunny ears. Not just because they’re adorable.
I would love to see many of the old items come back, make it so Anet!!!!
Just had some kitten engi complain to the thief in the party because they used SB in a fight against a minion mancer and another enemy….. WTH, SB rocks in fights like that.
The engi (Ego Machina) said SB damage is unreliable and the other person needed to “practice” because d/d is whats needed. (thief was d/p)
Funny thing is the Thief had 180-190 points and the Engi had 10. Plus the Thief was great.
The thief tried to tell him SB was decent and the Engi said “I main Thief”…….. these sort of ppl are “special”
People who have no clue need to not give opinions as if they’re gospel.
My guildies and I range from rabbit to dragon (and as much as ppl say rank “doesn’t matter” there is a huge difference in our talent level) and we were wondering how the matchmaking system works when our party has really big differences in rank/talent.
Should we match up closer to talent or will the matchmaking system work it out?
Also if we said talent was rated in a scale of 1 to 10 being best. If our party has three ppl at a 3, one at a 5 and the other at a 10 will the matchmaking system put us with the closest matching composition or does it look at us as a total?
LOL, you can tell the defensive ppl are the rangers/necros.
Seriously though I really do think it would be advantages having the option to toggle off pets, walls, etc. I get it not changing Mesmer though. (I’m not a Mesmer btw)
If I remember correctly (maybe he’ll correct me) this build had revealed training.
The build is 2-6-0-0-6 so no revealed, would be crazy to see the damage if he did use it.
Especially because he really knows how to move/evade/shadowstep like a crazy man.

There have been many patch changes since then. If you read all the patch notes between that date and now you can determine what happened.
……just no, that’s a silly amount of info to sift through. I’m sure someone who has been a thief long enough will know and help.

I was watching this vid (which i loved, don’t get me wrong) and I was curious how he crits for 5-10k? I get the 5-6k on a great crit part but after that it’s getting crazy.

I realize its back-stab and the trait executioner but watching d/p pros on twitch I haven’t noticed numbers near the 10k spectrum.
A really good example is in one fight starting with the opponent necro at full health (so no executioner) he hits for 7689 at 1:15, then 5456 1:20 and lastly 9857 at 1:22.
That’s 23,002 damage just the 3 crits in 7 seconds…… HOW?!?!?!?!
I followed his build which is linked in the description and also couldn’t get the numbers he gets. (maybe i’m just too noob)
Basically I was hoping someone could let me know how it’s done, it would be amazing to see numbers like this.

In sPvP when you press nearest target it will aim on ranger pets. (and from a comment by another user it will target “Tower Wall or a non-hostile creature” in WvW)
There is almost no case any decent player would want to target the pet over the player and I can’t imagine targeting a tower wall or a non-hostile creature helpful in WvW.
Please add the option to toggle off “pets, minions, walls, etc” as targets.
It would be a very appreciated addition to the game.

You really need to take ping into consideration with sPvP matchmaking.
The disadvantage for some of us is HUGE.
Also is there a reason for all the excessive lag of late?
Quite a few users have been making the same complaint, it started recently and has been very debilitating in sPvP and WvW.

I agree completely that its not good quality at all.
It would be really nice if a mod replied to our concerns, maybe letting us know if it will be updated.
They have done it in the past with the mining tool animations so it’s not unheard of.
