ATM populations in WvW are very subject to change. The new expansion will bring many old players back and many new players in. There has been an influx of new players since the announcement, so many of them will probably be getting into WvW soon if they havent already. I’d stay on your server and try to work with the people that you have met. The more points your world gets, the easier it will be to get more people (be it casual people who only play when you’re winning or new people that want to try it but are scared due to huge point differences)

Also, servers dont ever stay at the bottom forever. Just work with who you have and your server will eventually climb the ladder again.

how it will bring new players to a dieing server? i mean no offense but takes lil to no research to figure out what eu/na servers are really crap WvW wise.

if u ask me any server is good aslong ur not in top dogs server and not at the bottom..
top servers are just zerg it up
bottom u get dominated likely by 3rd last one. why? cus 2 on bottom have small community and 1 server has big zerg squad community but they cant rank up cus everything above them will stomp them down the list insstantly so this is quite boring also, tho im quite happy when our server for once does unite and kitten the zerg server quite easily. then again majority of the time i feel sorry for our server and the other server that have to stand up against force that out numbers both servers big time and can fight on both fronts against both servers at same time and still bring double more people against both servers but hey w/e floats their boat i personally dont like winning when it goes that easy.

go reroll thief, im having a hard time as new thief cus i dont fully understand the class yet.
all i know is if i do stuff at wrong time or to early u can kiss your kitten goodbye most of the time.

when i see older thiefs that are better players i also think like wtf hes doing that and kitten 3 people in row and hes still fine with his hp.
let me try that also so i go 1on1 with him and maybe its my gear maybe its my playstyle i can last longer then all these 3 players together but i cant kill the thief, they can kill me cus i fail to understand still where kitten they keep going xD.
yet i deliver more damage and survive longer then other 3 people….

then again next moment i see a ranger kitten everything and other time a warrior stomping everything..
theres always players amazing at some class or these players are just lucky they happend to face some weak new players or found classes that basically dont even tickle their balls..

like warrior vs thief, ye right im out of here.

i would roll warrior if i was you they kill thiefs so easy so i guess warrior will kill all the rest of classes really easy also

screw the maps Anet need to focus on how to make people PVP and not run like headless chickens from camp to camp avoid PvP like a plague (what majority is doing)..

i dont care how maps looks like i just want people to go head to head make it more rewarding to PvP then capping a crappy tower/castle/camp..

Though i find it surprising you cant get 5 people to take a tower, especially in such a low server.

because surprisingly UW alone has more people then blacktide/FoW together so where ever u go on any of the 4 WvW maps theres Underworld.

im surprised why FoW + blacktide are still stuck with them.
are these guys from underworld that bad that they cant move up in rank while they can deploy on every WvW map more people then these 2 servers together get in 1 WvW map..

many times i just want to transfer off from FoW cus its not even funny your fighting terrible people who win everything cus they come in hordes off 40+ where as our server can barely hit 20 people..
then again even if i transfer i will prolly end up in a zerg server again which is not what iwant either i just want to fight but u cant fight something that outnumbers you pretty much all the time maybe 1 hour during prime time dont have outnumbered buff all the other hours good luck have fun whatever u cap/or try to touch within minutes some red zerg is pounding on your door/body.

ah i tried but then i did some research and saw your from NA server :p (checked your twitch history videos).

the thing is i dont know if your geared or not but im not even doing half your damage, now im aware im condition build. but even if i want to change to being more of a burst type i dont know where to start.

like im always wondering should i buy mist armor set from WvW merchant or berzerker set from Auction house.
basically my problem is figuring out how important each stat is, i just see numbers but i dont really know how much it increase my damage/stats roughly so im kinda lost with that :p.

im trying to look up videos/guides but no1 really mentions what armor they use they just give their builds

so i reinstalled GW2 few weeks ago and hit lvl 80 on Thief finally, now ill admit im not sure what hell im doing in WvW im also aware of fact that im playing totally wrong but i like it! but now ill try play Thief proper but i need a helping hand.

ill try explain how i play Thief right now, im pure condition build (even tho i got told to use pistol i hate pistol :p) with D/D then again im rushing like a idiot into middle of my enemies and sadly for me, my server doesnt have nearly as much folks to play with as our enemy who always a massive zerg.

anyway if 2 blobs hit each other i just run into them and drop caltrops, then i do some dodges(since i have some trait for more caltrops drops) and spam death blossom. now if my world isnt rushing on them at that point. im dead (yes like i said im idiot thief im aware of fact that i shouldnt be a front line warrior)

anyway now i came to realize this way i play is lovely for PvE since i get tons of HP return like that. but for WvW its from my point of view not that good.

as for rings etc its all crap i didnt buy anything for it, not saying weap/armor are amazing but im fresh toon i dont have any gold.

none the less what i want is be somewhat usefull in small scale PvP and do proper amount of damage to 1 target, i just dont know what traits i need neither what weapon i need. i do have enough karma/badges to buy any full armor set from WvW or other trades but then again i dont know what is good.
infact everytime i have to look up what stat is doing what. thus why instead of wasting my precious gold on miss buys i rather just work towards something that works right away.

side not i did try Sword/Dagger also but i personally dont like sword either.
anyway i take any suggestions aslong i can keep my short bow as secondary weapon i simply love this thing.

and last thing just wonder about one more thing, when i see other thiefs they go up in smoke when i fight them one on one, im aware of teleport thingy with sword/dagger or something and that 5 gives u a hide skill for x seconds but they go far longer in hide then i can possibly reproduce even by constantly tapping kittenting something i can nearly get as far away as they do since i cant hit anything at some point anymore.

anyway its rly long post but i hope some1 has some time to explain me some stuff!

side not i dont understand half the lil words people use on this forum thus why some guides are hard to understand for me also! i did read quite few guides thats where i got this setup from also which i use now.

ok so im watching yt vids whole time while downloading the game looking what class suits me but im just gettin more confused..

basicly i want to AoE like a “boss” and take few hits aswell, so i guess it was warrior but when i check their damage i dont really see it as AoE like a boss

i kinda like archer/thief style of play but then without the trying to aviod enemies cus ur squeezy..

can any1 help me out a lil?
as for mages or something in robes, not going to happen, i hate mages.
thats crystal clear for me never liked mages never will.
