I wouldn’t mind if someone kept the rest of us informed on the queue situation in SoR this coming week. Just curious how many people have gone over in the off-hours.

Population caps have been increased, so TC has been very high most of the time.

TC has moved to and stayed in Tier 2 despite having very low oceanic/european coverage. Just a little more can round it out and make T2 a very competitive tier.

Score update. I just want to say that if SBI guilds are all hopping servers, I hope that the rumors are wrong and that some will consider TC, or other servers that are not winning their tier. Otherwise, this week is going to be pretty meh.

I can’t think of any WvW guilds off the top of my head whose prime time is in that time zone, however, PiNK does have anywhere from 5-10, sometimes 15, players who are usually online and running around in WvW during then.

Without fail, TC has filled IOJ’s shoes well in that they focus their entire day crew on attacking SoR BL rather than the point leader. When is Red going to realize the key to second place isn’t by attacking second place?

Just once it would be nice if it wasn’t Green + Red vs Blue. SBI has been completely unchallenged by TC in thier BL all weekend.

I do wish we’d cut out the ‘thanks for the farm’ passive aggressive nonsense, though. There’s enough fighting all over the place that everyone probably evens out in the end.

But WvW success is based on how many badges you get!

Pretty much every defensive garrison is just a farm/lag fest right now. SoR’s garrison’s walls and gates have been down for like the last 5 hours. We’ve started using it as a shortcut to Woodhaven. :/

It’s fun to see TC being kitted by numbers being overwhelmed this time where FA have confronted so many times. But also in that process losing their keep/tower in process with litterally no defend. =/

The difference is that FA whines about it more than any other server in the top 5 tiers, and uses it to take potshots at the server stomping them into the ground like they’re the gods of WvW handicapped by a small population.

CD cleared FABL at least twice last week, if not three times.

I don’t really think BG will be the ones needing help next week. :P

I’m not saying TC is less skilled than FA or CD at all. Don’t get me wrong. What you’re saying is exactly right and I would love a good fight on equal footing. I just wish TC would stop attributing their score to skill alone when it simply makes them seem foolish and arrogant.

Except nobody has ever said that (that I’m aware of), and that’s the core of the issue. Any claim to skill made by TC players in the past weeks have been (almost always) directly in response to claims, usually made by FA, that TC has no skill and wins -only- on numbers. The word only is very important in the English language. Ask anyone from TC that frequents this thread and they’ll be happy to admit that having a higher WvW population helps a ton in “winning” the tier. What they won’t admit to, and take offense to, is the claim that without those numbers, they would lose because they are otherwise skill-less. Maybe you and Vorpal haven’t made claims, but others on your server have, including representatives and even leaders from the major WvW guilds there. They you respond to the TC response to those claims, and throw out the “I never said that” argument.

That’s how 3/4 of the conversations on this thread plays out. It’s tiring.

I see this comment far, far too much on these forums. Somehow TC has some type of special powers that can read all team and map chat, squad chat, party chat, guild chat, and at the same time, are on all ventrilo (etc) servers.

How is that any different from FA saying that TC doesn’t know anything about strategy and tactics and just faceroll their way to victory from sheer numbers? Pot, meet kettle. It’s going to be great when IoJ drops to T3 next week and we get to see the same stupid arguments hashed out against them as they inevitably dominate the tier, despite the fact that they’ve proven their worth in T1/T2 for far longer than FA has even been in T3.

I doubt most of the people on TC are raging about an alliance, especially given that some have been actively encouraging one. But all these potshots about how this 2v1 is “proving” that TC only wins by pure numbers is getting really stupid. No one will blame the two losing servers for ganging up on the winning one, but when the third place comes on the forums to chest thump about taking the BL of the winning team with a 2v1 during their downtime, it’s embarrassing.

Having an alliance is whatever, but to say there isn’t one is kind of ignoring the obvious. Read back on the thread and you’ll see that FA and CD commanders were, at one point, in the same party giving each other info on troop movements. That’s an alliance. Just because some people weren’t told about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

CD making a pretty poor strategic decision to hit FA today…

CD player here, and I agree. Makes no sense for us to be fighting each other.

Then again FA kept pressing into our EB territory last night. This forced us to press all the way into the Ogre’s and defend from there, which opend the other side of the map for TC’s huge zerg to easily gain points.

I know it’s easier to go where there’s less defenders, and just quick grab points. But unless we focus on TC neither server will have a chance to win.

The first hour after reset, TC was pushed back to Cragtop on TCBL. So it’s not like both servers haven’t been pushing. But if you just mindlessly go after the first place server, you’re setting yourself up to lose.

In case you don’t get the sarcasm, every single thing you listed is done by every server (except glitching through walls, and with that, I have no idea what you’re talking about). Including your own server and your own guild. Glitching underground then killing siege and gates is a completely different thing. But don’t let logic stop you.

Also, good job not making it any kind of accusation whatsoever. I think you broke my passive aggressive meter.

It really is kind of amusing how many people assuming that TC “never” attacks YBBL. There’s at least two or three big pushes into YBBL every day, but it always ends with us getting pushed off the map either because people end up logging off, or transferring to another map to help defense. Honestly, sometimes, FA helps YB push us off the map either by going west instead of to Hills Keep, or making a big push in TCBL, forcing us to move people back there. It’s just how 3 way fights work.

So there is a guild with members on two different servers in the same matchup now?

TC is full most of the times but there are odd hours where you can get in. Someone on one of the RP forums actually charted the times you could get in a while back, and we’ve gotten some new guilds lately, so it’s definitely possible.

I agree that the AOE cap should be removed or at the very least extended to more people. However, I think that would have to come at the expense of lowering the damage of most, if not all, AOE abilities in the game.

They didn’t “wait” for 15 minutes. They came north after they took Bluebriar from your team because you had 10-15 people in the furthest supply camp that no one actually needed. That’s strategy, that’s what the game is about. Sorry if no one wanted to face roll into your ballistas and arrow carts with equal numbers so you can farm badges.

TC actually has two public VOIP servers, but AFAIK they’re not used regularly. The AWC one may not even exist anymore. Most WvW guilds stick to their own VOIP servers.

The FA people I play with, would never, NEVER, help another server by killing enemy siege attacking their keep/tower/whatever, nor would we help protect it while it upgraded. Are you all honestly justifying this idea? Did you even read what the person said?

This sounds like the same rationality for camping the jump puzzle or spawn camping or hacking or glitching, and so on and so forth. And you claimed to be the one server that was above all of that. I remember when we were playing Blackgate you suggested it was all about the fun battles and and enjoy the defense, etc. This today sounds like metagaming and winning at any cost, not even close to the same TC we played before.

Now as far as the personal attacks, I was not there, I do not care, SMC has flipped more times to count so who cares, and that’s not the point. No one should have things handed by them on a silver platter by an enemy. And no that is not how the game was intended.

There are a lot of negative things I could say about FA at this point, but this kind of actions are not one of them thank goodness. You know what we would have done in that situation? We would have bunkered down built a lot of siege and stood our ground like the bad kitten we are, and if we lost it, we would have lost it in a good fight. Not pull some hypocritical, backhanded metagaming bs.

I agree there is a thing called strategy, but there also is a thing called honor, and why should we be sacrificing that for a game?

And since we are putting this out there like this I would also like to point out I have seen this more then 10 times so far this match, this kind of ‘tactic’.

Also, I have seen some great players from both Yak’s and TC, just as when we played before. And I will continue to play, just because of them, thankfully they are the majority.

You’re kidding yourself if you think your commanders have never said “Well, we’re going to lose this tower/keep anyway, let’s make sure it falls to the weaker team.” It’s strategy, and a smart one at that.

Well, to answer that question, we were pushing in YB BL and suddenly there were people spamming map chat about how there were FA in TCG etc etc. So we all pulled out to defend.

No, but up until my post was made we could clearly see TC had taken absolutely nothing in YB borderland or YB’s part of EB. That’s what I mentioned in my post.

In the end it doesn’t matter what you or I think is happening, all that matters is what actually happens.

The good thing is that it looks like YB is taking quite a bit in EB, so it’s now becoming much more 3-sided. The match is definitely a lot more fun than our last one.

You know that TC had taken nothing in YB BL because they were attacked by FA while trying to take bay, and ended up losing spawn tower and camps to FA, right? You guys pushed TC out of the map. These complaints are a little ridiculous in that light.

Yeah. It doesn’t particularly bother me; I just don’t do puzzles if they’re being camped. However, coming here to complain about being “cheesed” because a server decided to take your tower through the undefended part, and then complain about being outnumbered when your server was actively camping the puzzle at the same time is plain silly.

It is stuff like this that will hurt you guys in tier 2, you cant be afraid to fight equal or your 2 to their 1 guys. You need to step that game up if you hope to compete up there. Just saying..

You’d probably have more defenders if you didn’t have a ten man group holed up in the jumping puzzle.

Today on wvw, CD borderland.
Loosing fully upgraded garison in 4minutes on a TC golems of 4 alpha and 2 omega+zerg.
TC zerg +golem taken out at WH 5minutes later.
CD retaking garison in 5minutes with rams.
Then restart update of wvw….
Everything started after the update. Looked too quiet… Then suddenly a TC zerg run across our maps from camps to camps.
WH taken by TC.
CD trying to get it back, rams taken out by TC, then CD build balista X3 + cata.
While our garison is under siege at water gate from 30 TC + golem. BUT we built just after reconnexion 12 carts up the walls :p. They took both gates down in 2minutes and died lord room in 30seconds… Tyvm for your visit TC (i saw [MF] tag ^^ may be some others were there too but what an epik fail we enjoyed our badges.) Btw I guess your Commander know what tactic can do and that mindless zerging is not always working, I understand you left but I have to thank you to let me be able to make such great moves to counter you.
I loved the wvw fights and even if we didnt win I can swear my followers loved our times fighting ^^.

Well, it was good fights and definitely fun, but your recount stopped being accurate after “CD retakes garrison in 5 minutes with rams”.

You missed:

CD loses Hill keep and Lake tower while they were taking back Garrison.
CD mass wipes in lord’s room of Bay.
CD attacks Bay gate again while their water gate gets taken down by 4 people with 1 ram.
CD withdraws from Bay and loses garrison again 10 minutes after taking it to the TC reinforcements from Bay.
CD loses WH because the gate was only repaired to 20% after the golem assault.

Then the reset happened. I don’t know what happened after that because I left the map.

Which is fine. I think the irony comes from all the CD players complaining about TC “zerging everything” then a 80 man zerg runs through TC BL in the early morning and steamroll the 10 defenders.

I said this last week during TC/HoD/CD when people started whining about the “huge TC zergs” and whatever. Every server has it’s sore losers. The only difference is that this week, they get to throw conspiracy theories about 2v1s around too. Also, it’s funny that people throw out “oh, all you can do is roll around in a huge zerg” like it’s an insult. Assuming that’s all we do, if you’re coming here to complain because it’s stopping you from doing anything, then it’s working pretty well isn’t it?

I’m pretty sure every commander who has to command through chat agrees. Being suppressed as you’re trying to gather for a flank just sucks so much.
