if it the newest changes i like em. always thought wvw should been left out of world completion. camera changes and stability changes always good. actuall update id look forward too

leave starter zone bosses alone for the most part but a rework of shatterer and jormag or others out of the starter zone would be nice. tequatl is the only one i like doing atm. i do shatterer and jormag plus a few other but they require no thought just hit 1 so id love to see a revamp of them maybe they could do that and release them before the exspansion
i think give a rebuilding of la would be a good killer of time before the release of the exspansion plus im sick of seeing la get no love since the destruction. maybe a side piece where we fix the waypoints too
this stinks. if the dailies dont count for the meta i dont understand why im even playing this game anymore same thing happened for the halloween event for me didnt get that meta either. seems like they try to make this game my second job. just to let them, know they keep this stuff up ill find something else to do for that hour or two a week i spend in this game
it happened to me also. this happened to me all the last holiday(halloween one) too
i wouldnt mind seeing a cultural set of exotics added with a big cost in gold to get them.
im not sure having more zerg is the answer if we had more combat roles that were needed interupt condition damage in parts of these new 8 10 or 12 man dungeons then yes i could see it happening and would love to try them then. maybe make group slit up into the three roles one group of 3 or 4 needed to interupt the boss while 3 or 4 did straight damage while the other third had to apply condition damage to keep another creature coming in and help the first boss. just my thought until you get better defined roles for pve dungeon instances then adding more people wont do anything in my opinion

i started a char and got that char to level 60 before news of the patch and made one right after. only problem i really had was the removal of stuff in started areas. none of it was hard at all to understand. the traits lock hurt a bit but the chest of useable gear kept me geared up near my level. both my new and older char are both at level 60. the removal of stuff from starter areas made it feel longer mainly cause it seems there is less i like about the newer areas and i used to get close to level forty before leaving the newbie areas after patch i felt the need to move on after level 20. the newer experience to me felt like it took longer and is more of a chore. this is my personal experience and i think it was due to the stuff being removed from starter areas.

i try not too i see no reason for them in pve. i find it irritating when im at a dragon event and go to the map to send to my friend who messaged me in chat asking where i am
1. That’s a guildmission-spot. They will leave as soon as the mission there is over. They probably tagged up just for fun.
2. If you are annoyed by so many tags, just join the squad of one of them and you’ll only see one tag on the whole map. Problem solved.
3. If you want to follow a specific commander but can’t find his tag due to so many active tags, type “/squadjoin nameofcommander”… this way you’ll instantly only see his tag on the map. Leaving a squad can be done with “/squadleave nameofcommander”.
See, there’s actually not really any problem here. Just use the options which the game already provides.
why should i be forced to join someones squad just to make the tags go away. i follow tags in wvw but hardly ever join their squads mainly im on ts so i dont see reason to join their group. i just want an option to turn of the tag if dont want to see them cluttering up my map

Maybe you could, but what you did show was mostly legitimate tag use. This clearly shows that you are overreacting. Calm down, take a deep breath. Those tags are not hurting you. Besides, the vanity tag use is already going slowly out of fashion – most of those will disappear in the next week ot two.
all im stating id like an option to hide the tags and yes they do bother me everytime i open the map and see all them and looking for something that i want to tag for chat and cant cause there too many tags in area that i cant tag the waypoint ot poi
my problem isnt the pace but its the pace they set themselves then changing it a better place but with no word about why. i said when they started the 2 week process i felt it was too ambitious

Of course, I liked the leveling rate before, that ANet felt they had to alter it for the first 15 levels seems like a rather inelegant solution to a problem they created for no good reason.
I felt like this was actually a long lasting issue they finally addressed.
There’s been so many times I’ve seen people complain that after they explored the first zone they couldn’t progress to the next one because they were underleveled.
funny thing before i left any of the started areas i was always close to level 40 way overleveled the old way now that they took so much stuff out that i liked i want to get out before im supposed to be out

It’s a lot easier for the party members to locate him, especially when they are doing bounties. It’s easier to say “bounty is at my tag” and be located by the other members of the guild. Or say “mission is at my tag,” for the new people on the guild who don’t know where it is.
It’s easy for people to sneer and say they are showing off and other remarks but here there is an actual use for these tags in this obvious situation.
i did a dragon event the other day i counted 15 commanders tag showing on the screen before i stopped counting. no dragon event needs that many tags seriously i dont care how many guild groups doing it. 90 percent are just showing off their tags and they dont need to do it its annoying. so yes when they do that im going to sneer and make remarks.

I was objecting specifically to the picture that OP showed. That picture is of a guild mission spot and while there may have been a couple of random tags in there, the other tags are up because those guilds asked those members to display the tags. If OP had shown numerous tags around LA or numerous tags around the Maw that would be different. But he showed an instance where the tags are being used for a specific purpose and then asked for a nerf of commanders, implying that all groups of tags are up for frivolous, vanity reasons.

teq isnt easier its just better understood and people organize for it better and i think megaserver helped a bit in that area too. as for the wurm i really dont know it was horrible at first and i never went back to learn it but i think tts does it with no problems(although im not sure about that)

“Nerf” isn’t really the right word to use here. Usually that means a balance adjustment, and that’s just not…It doesn’t really make any sense here.
Hopefully they’ll add some options to deal with it. Personally, I’d like to see a drop-down in the options menu, with options like:
-Show All Commanders
-Show Squad Commander
-Show Guild Commanders

This one’s also a puzzle, even if you figure out a way to identify useful commanders. They could do something visual to mark good commanders, like a special shape or effect, but that doesn’t solve the visual noise. I suppose they could implement some kind of commander ranking system, and then we could have an option to “hide commanders below [rank],” but that still has problems.
It’s interesting to think about.
i like the ability to hide commander that you stated especially in places where there isnt needed unless your doing teq other dragon dont need more then one and thats to show where event is. i know where events are so i could hide all. so unless you need an organized group in pve i dont need to see a tag.
i dont like the thought about ranking commanders because people tend to be petty at times and will go out of their way to be petty. its sad cause one person disagrees with one comander they could get guild mates alliance mates to downvote maybe enough to classify then as un useful. i know the other day in wvw i had a commander who i thought was doing a great job but that one person keeep complaining so much in map chat about that comander i had to block that person and there was only one person. everyone didnt voice any opinion so im sure they were ok with commander. that one person is a big wvwer so im sure like all wvwer they belong to a wvw guild. they might have goten enough down votes from their guild to overide the positive votes they could have gotten from those following such commander
now if you state only the only one who can downvote or upvote a commander have to group with the person then im going to say what about those who follow but never group up. i do that alot so i wouldnt get any chance to vote on any commander although i wvw a lot
my thought is yes put an option button to see only certain commanders or none at all but leave out up voting or down voting
hey they are having a meeting its called how to annoy others i think that every time i look at map and there more them one commander up. its like dudes calm down there isnt that much important stuff to warrant that many flags. done get me wrong i have my own comander tag but dont display it unless im really leading something which has been once in wvw when there was no other commander on any map
i actually just ended up leveling a char before the update well up to level 60 that is and specifically started new char after update to try out new leveling mainly to see if there what the differences.to tell the truth. i dont really like or hate the new leveling it does affect me yes its different yes. i personally dont think it was needed . it isnt easier and not really any harder. i also got a friend who just started the game several days ago i dont think the new experience and i helped him through by answering question. hes still got questions so im not thinking the new leveling affected him. to be truth i asked what hethink he likes getting the rewards every level but all else he doesnt care.
they all ready have day and night cycles but the creature remain the same. they got the dust storm but im not sure about adding this type of effect to existing part mainly cause of complaint of fps in dry top due to sandstorm. new areas might have the same mechanics though but dont add them to old areas
the chat option i think that should change is being able to se chat from guilds you arent repping. we will call it alliance chat for those your not repping. let it be anohter color with the option to turn it off. i dont care if the mesages blend i dont want it to be the same color as the one im repping. im asking for five colors just an extra color. if im not repping them at the time but i do still want to see what they are saying and i can cross rep when i want to respond back. id like it is influence was divided by all the guilds i belong that way when im not repping im still helping them. thats the only guild things i have any opinion about

i never liked capes in gw1(always hid mine) and dont really care if they implement them in gw2. i know some people like them but they were never my cup of tea but im not to saying no to capes just stating my opinion
For those mentioning GW1, how long ago did you quit ? Because once the party search was correctly done, there was pretty much no trade spam left (unless you ticked on /trade).
right up to gw2 coming out it got less in map but still people did and al the scamming going on you had to check everything good plus scrolling through the windows or watching the trade chat window plus trading wasnt global the tp in gw2 is way easier .
im not into fishing in games enthusiast but i dont mind if they put it in for others so im saying ok to the ops post of putting fishing into the game. maybe use it as a way to get slab of meat or something to use when they up cooking to 500 another ingrediant fish meat
i dont think i want player to player trading i so hate seeing seeing something in map chat in other games i played. so im fine with the tp and glad about the update they implemented
its a good patch a lot of much needed id say a few things i’m worried about wont be that great. commander tags for one i think is great. improvements in the trading ui is great. ui optimization is great but the rest doesn’t seem that good to me and really doesn’t mater to me.
last patch had a lot more wow for me that why im not so excited for this one. it had wardrobe and megaservers which i think i like both of those a lot.
me for one wish they would have given 6(maybe 7) colors instead of 4 mainly for teq there sems to be 6 group associated with that event but 4 a great improvement.
a lot in this patch might be better after how i see how they are going to work
ok i like dailies and monthlies how they are i usually complete them both with no problem usually about half way through the month for the monthlydepending if i do a lot of wvw or not . so no to ops suggestion
The problem is there are tons of DDOS attacks going on and hacks. for example the security breach recently announced at Home Depot. There is the ArcheAge breach also. All of these attacks take internet bandwidth.
I would also look to see if your ISP is throttling your connection. Comcast and others have started doing that. Throttling would affect your lag, etc.
yep it happens and people dont realize its the internet service i worked for one that did that to its customers. i got fired for being honest with a customer about checking out a competitor too bad quality control happened to listen to that one. customer was a gamer like me and i felt bad for them. i noticed they canceled their service with our service and hope they are happy with what they got
ok i like this update not as good as sliced bread but a good improvement this along with commander color tags and guild going across megaserver are the parts im going to like. the guild one i expected at some time cause they said that was going to happen when they released megaserver. not going to say the patch will be overwhelming cause i dont think it is needed yes underwhelming yes but wanted and needed yes but not awesome
the trading improvement better be bigger then sliced bread for this patch to have any worth to me but it probably wont because im one of those people unless they drop the tp tax then anything else is for naught. and it looks like thats the last one
i dont dislike the sandstorm technology but i dont want every area to have same effect. sandstorm is reason enough for me to revisit dry top if that feature was everywhere then that feature wouldnt be unique. i dont mind if they add the feature to new areas but i dont want it everywhere
Considering a way to use Miniature’s from anywhere on any character without taking up bag space has been one of the most asked for features practically since launc, I find it funny you listed it as ‘meh’.
i used to buy minis via the gem store and sell them when the collection was done as in achievements for me i dont want a ton of minis that i cant sell so i wont be buying anymore just the ones i like look of so i wont be getting achievement points either so this update to minis hurts me and anet in the wallet and gives me less achievement points in the end. so yeh it was meh to me
i sort of agree with what was stated but you stated another backpack it sounds to me like its a crafting backpack instead and you get it for maxing out crafting one for each crafting profession. still not sure what it means but dont think its just another backpack but i may be wrong. also the trading update might be the bright spot but yeah i think the entire feature pack is kind of meh from what they announced so far
well good thing i decided not to sell my minis last night hopefully they will go up a lot so i can make a bit of cash of them. itll be my way of saying goodbye minis
looks like ill never buy another mini seeing as they are going account bound. actually i used to buy them to complete achievements then sell the ones when i had the achievement only keeping ones i liked around. seeing i wont be able to do that there is no reason to buy anymore for me. im beginning to think this feature pack is garbage so far
Do you guys think that there’s a middle ground between ultra hard and easy?
For example, I think we could clean up some of the issues with the Shatterer and just make it a more engaging experience. So rather than spending the entire fight hiding under his right paw he could, say, turn his head and attack that area? :] It doesn’t have to be hard, just a little more involved.
We tried to put in a few changes here and there when we added the new world boss timers. Reactions varied.
this is a change id approve i dont think he has to be as hard as teq and i enjoy doing teq once a day. to the op im hoping if they put in hard content im hoping its new content not a rehash of the old. maybe in the a new area they open up eventually

i got the level 20 scroll and 5 skill points scroll. im not crazy about the level 20 but i buy slots now and then and i might use all i got from last year and will this year eventually. i loved the 5 skill points one along with the blaster plus the birthday booster i will use so im happier then i was last year

If you all want ANet to choose the issue, fine. Just be prepared for a very large group of posters to feel angry and alienated that ANet has chosen an issue they feel is not important. This will sour the atmosphere more than it already is.
Heck, be prepared to feel that way yourself if what ANet chooses is not to your liking.
im thinking if all they see is we dont want it they will decide not to implement such idea. i just want the cdis to be a throw around of ideas. i think id like anet to throw out several ideas and have us choose which one we would want. even negative feedback can be good feedback
