thank you anet it goes with the look i was looking for on two of my characters

i liked the hearts a lot mainly cause they weren’t the traditional do this one thing. you were given a few ways to complete a heart so i could play each character a different way. i kind of wish hearts were all through the game myself but i understand why the devs did it the way they did

naw they won a lot of people who put off pre purchasing bought with the news most who did prepurchasing arent as mad as they were just hoping they get compensation a different way. i was going to buy ultimate tonight no matter what and i really dont need two extra slots ill take what i get but i think gems worth the slot price would have been nice but ill use the extra slot and be happy with i got .

Then a week later, Anet says that all players will get a Rytlock statue, and Collector’s Edition players will get 2. What do I do with the extra statue, since I only really needed one.

as one who found himself defending more then they put against. i understand a lot of people were upset and i understand why they were upset. i wasnt as upset so take what i say. dont worry about it. you were upset at least your trying to atone for it and in my book that means a lot more then you being upset. i dont think anybody who made statements were all in the wrong they were trying to get their frustration out let anet know a wrong was committed

i honestly was buying tonight when cash hits my account it is nice they made this announcement and i appreciate the the give on this and actually im an alt person so ill use the slot but it was a suggestion of mine that they do as penguin suggested and i still wouldn’t mind if they did do this solution but it doesnt anger me if they dont

JT amd TS made good points. Some players made the decision to get the Deluxe due to the extra slot, and not just the fluff. I got the Ultimate because /hype, the extra slot, the 4k Gems, and the fact that I love this game. Now I’m getting 2 slots, which I admit is really nice, but I don’t need it. I already purchase all the additional slots that I need. Future expansions will most likely continue to give extra slots, so I’m fine with waiting until the next one before making a new character.

Bottom line, I thank Anet for making the pre-order better. Today’s changes makes Anet look really good. But I don’t know. Personally, I feel that I just got cheated a little because a lot of vocal complaints were made over something that I saw already had value. That’s why I’m suggesting that we get an option to get Gems instead. I’ll still be spending money on the Gem Store anyway. I’ll end up getting something that I could use, like BL Keys.

This is about fairness. I’m not complaining about getting free stuff. I’m offering a suggestion because I don’t need the extra free slot that I had already gotten in my Ultimate pre-order.

i made that comment in another thread about getting gem equivalent instead so i understand where your coming from. i had already gotten s slot ready a right after they announced the expansion coming but ill take the extra if thats what they are offering which i think is fair but would love gems equivalent instead of i could but it isnt a bigf deal to me

yeah but most companies dont give out presale numbers or sales info to regular employees. im sorry if they did then it gets to competitors and gives them time to outdo them

im sure someone skimmed it maybe they also didnt know. people here are putting this into conspiracy theory level and i think they are wrong. people do that to me at my company think im in nthe know when im not and my boss is in the same know i am. faqs are usually based on what it known you dont put in tidbits that arent known yet. im saying the guy paid to do the faqs didnt know and im saying his boss who proffread it didnt know. in faqs you add when new information comes out. that guy who does it and probably his boss dont know everything in the company. mo they dont give him free reign to do as he wants. im telling you companies arent that communicative. the one i work doesnt let me know everything. usually customer know stuff before me and my boss and his boss.

Let’s say that there was a FAQ for skill points. After the update it will have to be changed to hero points, because the answer to the question has changed.

Companies do have a right to change their minds.

Now, if you have purchased something from a company based on a FAQ and it’s changed and that change has somehow changed your purchase, then you have the right to a refund or some sort of compensation.

But it’s not illegal to change a FAQ. It’s not even immoral. If the FAQ is wrong, its’ pretty much a necessity. Why would you leave bad info on the website?

thats what i was referring too my comment about why it took so long was to other saying they knew about the changes for months. im thinking whomever edits the forum didnt know about the price change. ive never knew everything about every company i worked for so im thinking the forum didnt know about the change til it was posted on website then he changed it to correspond

All I’m really saying is that it takes one person assigned to make a change to a FAQ to not get to it and another person who is overseeing that person to not follow it up, for a FAQ change to be missed. It really is that simple.

i had too much dragonite this would get me back to doing some of them again beside the daily event

i get bombarded by gw2 adds but im thinking i did searches for things on gw2 thats how it got into my ad preferences. almost think ad preferences need to change up something. if i google it that much must be i got game so they should advertise simlar games instead

playing casually took me 6 months to level up two chars three years i got one of each profession and an extra mesmer to boot. id say he was bit more hardcore then me

The timing for that correction suggests, it was not an error.

Seriously, they knew they will be giving out free core game at least a month before prepurchase announcement, maybe even longer (such decisions are not made on the spot, and if it was done in a rush there would have been two keys, not one). During that time they not only left the FAQ info suggesting people should buy core, but also had a sale event. Face the reality – they knew what they were doing.

And for those saying that Anet is acting nice by offering the refund, i’d like to point out that they do absolute minimum required by law of many countries they sell their game in (they literally can’t not do that). They don’t do anything beyond that line, nor do they advertise widely that such an option is possible.

if they knew a month ago they should have removed it from the faqs then thats why i commented what took them so long. oh i understand why people are upset. this is forum fix in my book they should have done something when they knew it was wrong not when there is backlash

yes it did but it was an error that needed fixing. it was wrong at the time they released the preorder info so needed to be changed

at first i was going to say no but the more i think about it op im giving a yes please. fact is im terrible at jps and on the jp days i can see people helping other more due to good nature of game i might actually finish all the jps i havent gotten that way. but in stead of one jp maybe all jps within a region instead

im going to say i understand all the complaints and where people are coming from with it myself. to say im not going to buy it would be falsehood. im going to buy. would i like it anet offered veterans an extra slot. i think they should. for those who recently bought the game i think you should get an hot for free if you bought it since the end of the last living story. to me the price isnt the problem but the fact if i didnt have a slot ready for the new class id have to buy one whereas new players got 5 slots free. thats the injustice on the veterans. if you use we got all the stuff for free but your wrong because we deserved that we supported anet to get them to a spot where they could offer an exspansion. we made the game a success and we got all that free stuff to rewards us for supporting the game. so to make us equal footing with new people at least give us a free spot anet

More than likely. The expansion will tie up the current story and set the stage for the next season. Which could very well go back to the LS realease schedule.
As for LA. It better be fixed in the expansion. There really isn’t any reason for it not to be.
It would also be neat to see the rebuilding of LA tied into guild halls somehow. But we won’t know anything until the tell us.

and thats why i requested info on it. they havent said for sure and id prefer not to speculate

And again, you wont get any info until they either make an official announcement on the state of LA, either through a blog post about whats coming in the expansion, or keep it secret until the expansion launches and we are pleased to discovered that LA has been rebuilt.

and the topic of this discussion is requesting info. it something id like to know will i get it. i doubt it. the one thing i hate about anet is their lack of communication even on stuff they could tell us but wont. im sure they know but they stay tight lipped about everything
