i was in your shoes before the hot released i found two great guilds one for pve and one for wvw now i find im spending too much time in game and having tons of fun. i made a post in the correct forums and got responses there

id say reverant or guardian i find both very forgiving due to my lack of dexterity warrior not so much. necro and ranger aren’t bad but i find ranger being a bow ranger stinks i do the best with guardian

Its not pushing away, it is a «solution» against lazy people who just wait to get a good maap then they still wait for a new maap completed by others.
SW is the symbol of this problem.

i didnt say it was a way to push people away the person i was responding too stated it was a way they were pushing people away i stated that it didnt make good business sense to push paying customer away

actually this is a feature that would be nice to have i have a tag myself and only use it when with a guild id like to hide it cause we get randoms wanting to join all the time when we are trying to just coordinate

this happens too much asked within a few minutes after leaving one map to get the same message ticks me off the most wish they had some cure for it but i doubt it would so easy to fix

i think hot is part of the experiment of gw2 and i think gw2 has been an experiment. they had a vision of what they wanted somewhat but i think along the way they have changed that vision trying to deliver something different that what was out there previous but the community being as vocal as they were they had to change stuff up as they went along. they havent quite filled the vision and will continue to experiment til they can get as close to their vision that they can. hot in my mind is what a lot of us asked for harder content new maps more skill options expansion linked with new dynamics like gliding and mushroom hopping. its not perfect but i dont think it failed. i think expansions in the future and content in future will get better. i personally like enough about hot to consider it somewhat of a success

i was having the same bug with both clients(32 bit and 64). what fixed it for me was deleting the everything and redownloading the whole thing again. took a while but i did it while i was sleeping and had no problem since. sometimes a clean install works better of using an old dirty installation

ok i don’t care the look of the tag itself and agree with you but i do wish it was harder to get then it is. seemed to easy to get it when i did and i mean the mentor tag

i got a commander tag and have no problem following a mentor tag and i know commander tag has more function-ability and im all right with it. i see no reason a mentor leading if they know content. its the person who makes a good tag i folllowed commander tags and regretted it im sure ill follow mentor tags and regret it. neither is better its the person behind them that makes a difference

i dont think hot failed. i like a lot of the content as for the new zones im not crazy about them but i think they appeal to some and not others. i disliked silverwastes but i have a friend who just grinds there hours on hours. he loves it and loves the new hot zones. i think the maps are pretty and love the stronger monster encounters takes a think a bit outside the box. i just dont care for the repetitiveness of it. i dont think it was really done i think they had plans to do more for other parts of the game but rushed it out. (now dont go and think i have evidence i dont its purely my thoughts on it). i like the elite specs and i play more of the classes then i did before the exspansion.

i think all starter areas bosses can use minor tweeks but dont implement sweeeping new tactics to it. shatterer and boss in higher areas yes go ahead but leave the low level bosses pretty much alone

id like for them to add a few more choices in give us more to choose from.more choice is the thing for me

season one had its problems(scarlet seemed to be too incredible) and it had some good points (marionette lions arch battle) im hoping they can bring it back in some form but this is one thing that might be too much to handle for the benefit it gives

ill say ive had a resurgence. i joined two new guilds like them both and with all the socializing aspect and downright playing together im enjoying the game more then i was a few months ago playing solo. dont think its due to hot but we got a newbies in both guilds probably from hot coming out

first wvw isnt all about the zerg or zerb if you think that you have never really did wvw or you just followed the dude with the tag(boring). i mostly 5 man havoc group(cause our guild is a smaller wvw giuild and we only get around 5 on at a time) and going against a group with superior numbers can be fun especially if you survive and defeat them in their purpose they were trying to accomplish. dont understand why op states you must leave you pve guild you got several guild slots join a wvw guild. ive seen a lot of 5 to 3 7 to 5 fight that were real impressive and im not on tier 1 wvw map

the op problem is no big deal to me but this is if it going to close multiple maps send us all to the most populated ones not to dead ones that are going to close soon

megaserver keep everything in pve pretty good wvw seems to be lacking numbers on the lower range servers b ut they arent bad. and yes i have noticed a bit of return of some wvwers lately but the numbers are no where close before exspansion

They’ve had achievements in the Guild Wars franchise since the start 10 years ago. Yes there have been ones that took a very long time and quite a bit of holiday’s to get enough drinks or sweets to do them. Very normal for them.

yes they did but they werent seasonal and will be gone at end of wintersday you could do them in nyour own time and take as long as you wanted i know i did

seems like they upped the amount of drinks in the presents the last update(im getting twice as many) so maybe someone thought it was a bit excessive

ive had the same problem hitting snowballers you got to aim high

well not going to say i was negative about hotr ive been mostly positive

i love gliding and seeing how long and how high i can go actually wish there was other places to go with it

i like the reaper and herald the best of the elites and new classes. but i still got to try out a few other havent tried daredevel or the eles elite. i also dont care for the druid.

masteries i think are fine right now. i think they are supposed to take time to do them and mine are.

map in hot from what ive seen and i havent seen everything im slowly working my chars through them are good maps although a bit confusing in places but time will change that.

wvw new maps and changes when i first heard them i thought id love them. autoupgrade i decided i do hate it think someone should be there to upgrade manually. new guards around fortesses are better harder to take down the towers and stuff tower bosses are better take longer makes fight more interesting and longer. the new maps i dont care for the pathing of them and yes ive gotten to know them spent 3 times a week in bordderlands and yes the borderlands are getting a few more now lately. i dislike some of the new mechanics of the new maps. i think id prefer the ruins to the monuments and thier blessings..

ive been doing a bit of pvp since the updATe cecause of the legendaries are part of it so i got forced to do that now but im not ticked about it. im glad i can do it with a few friends and not forced into mainstream pvp and yes we got a private arena and i like to contribute to it.

im giving the hot exspansion a 7 out of 10 its got things it needs improving on and some should be reverted back but a lot of decent stuff in it

i agree light it was bad design im thinking they randomly included an event not understanding the event needed a failure to complete. ive seen a lot of this in the exspansion where i swear they said hey this will be cool but never thought their way through it. it happened a lot in the wvw borderland maps. i mean a lot of the changes i heard i said oh cool then when i actually had to do them i was like no this shouldnt be

i like the raptors because they killed me at first but i found ways to kill them its called learn to play. these were one of the easiest ones to learn

For LS2 if you logged in when it first went live, usually 2 weeks, then it was free. And that’s all you had to do was log in onto a char and you got it free. Did not have to do anything else, just log in and it was free.

That should be the way they will do LS3. I have seen nothing to say they will do it any different.

id say depends on how far you’ve gotten in gw2 first if you think you done everything then yes but if you think theres more to accomplish then wait. and take in mind what palador says they got the gist of it

i think i like the exspansion more then i dislike stuff about it. i want them to do something about wvw to straighten it up a bit but as for the new maps maybe not enough maps like id prefer and abit of grind but there are things i really like. i like the reverant but it doesnt really feel polished yet. i love gliding and the mushroom jumping. i like the mastery system. i think they could have made it bit less grindy but i dont think its bad. wvw maps arent the best not enough openness for my taste but i like a lot what they did with guards. i think they should revert to not auto upgrade and bring back so the yaks means something and gives us reasons to defends them. id like they revert to putting wvw experience in the chests instead of the xp bonus usually when im done with my dailies unless i got a good group im done with wvw for the day. the laser bugs me and needs to go. so if im still playing when its released ill more then likely buy

yeah im all for getting a few more dailies and wouldnt mind if we reverted back to the old system

from what my guildmates been telling me its been since the last update hopefully they will address this soon with another update

confusing is my first impression seems massive dont care for it already. the old borderlands or eb was never this confusing. tried to get one place took me an hour to figure out the route. too long they should have done kiss method. i dont also like they took out the ruins but keep the daily big mistake dont think they thought sany of this out just a few people sitting there thinking hey this will be cool and they got as glob of mess

i got one and love them on my asurans and slyvaris. dont like slyvari hair styles. but yep i wouldnt mind a return for those who didnt get it

i agree with gameguard except i think they will start halloween the friday before give people a week to enjoy it before hot goes live(time to iron out bugs and give people to do both) and have it run for three weeks

im going to try to use all of them i got enough tomes to instant 80 the rev but im thinking of working out all the elites to see if my main will change. right now my main is mesmer. havent been able to do the betas to try them out

i like druid better then i do few others actually think druid might be the best name they gave
