while you’re at it have them do something about the abomination that is Blood fiend. The healing signet in every way except the downsides where it’s not. >_>:
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I went ahead and confirmed it. Soldiers ammy in pvp on light golem, they hit 238-255+105ish leeching. Took off the soldier’s amulet (lost 978 strength or more) still did the same damage, but leeching only did 80 something.
So power DOES affect the leeching then? Or was that with Vampiric Mastery turned also off?
@Kyubi, Vamp Mastery increases the amount of life stolen, which = more damage, so yes it does affect the life you get restored but it’s also more damage dealt from the siphon.
Also, that’s not a new build. Bhawb already uses something similar to that. It sounds like it should be pretty effective.
Leeching always scales with power/healing (separately), but minions’ basic attacks do not. This should be a big red flag for minion lovers because Ascended armor comes on the 10th, that power creep will surely leave minion damage behind.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Looks like an interesting Signet that will be unusably in any PvP environment.
why?
Because anytime someone gets marked, you are going to be met with dodges and chain CC.
And it’s evadable/blockable/etc. Too much chance for this heal to totally not work in pvp, and I can almost guarantee it wont.

Your wiki is likely outdated and someone will need to redo the page (minion indeed used not to gain anything from power but that changed later trought the year same goes for pets and turrets). Check your minion spell damage with and without a power equipment if you dont believe me because minions DO gain power. As for vampiric master its only life siphon there wich i recall is related to healing power.
I believe it has ben confirmed they do not scale with stats, and the scaling you see is based on a tool tip error where the tool tip wants to factor in your stats, even if it doesn’t actually do so. (Pretty sure a dev had said that)
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I think the point is, what’s the use of having skill when the artificial barriers are so high. Move that agony to something meaningful instead of having a mysterious “you lose” lingering, at least that’s what I take from it.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
^ Yep. You’d think they’d have learned that heals that can lose effectiveness via being killed/evaded/cced would be stronger to compensate but nope. :/
Look at blood fiend: It can be killed, cced, evaded, blocked, doesn’t attack stealthed enemies, LOSed, out of ranged, terrain juked, etc and even with 100% up time it STILL heals for less hps than Healing signet.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
You dont need precision because pets gains stats only from power […]
As wiki states, “minions only inherit the necromancer’s Condition Damage, Condition Duration, and Boon Duration attributes” and sadly its true.
They do get buffed via power though with Vamperic master trait. Its actually a decent dps boost.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Just what necros needed (next to blood fiend), another heal that can be evades/blocked. Not to mention unless we can heal in DS this heal isn’t going to keep us from dying…
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
At first I liked this healing skill, but then I realised something…
If the amount of healing we recieve is too large, it will be overpowered and we won’t be killable in certain situations. On the other hand… if it heals too little and doesn’t provide any healing when not being hit, then our health pool will literally never fill… it just becomes a glorified protection/retaliation passive.
So that basically means that we will have to use the active ability for healing ourselves up, and signet actives usually aren’t very efficient. Then again, it is a team heal, so it may be useful in pve.
I guess a niche heal is okay, but given the name of the ability I was hoping for a better healing ability than this.
I wish it was just on hit. If it was on hit at least you could dance around and try to refill it.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
You guys are way overshooting it, by the way there were putting it lightly, I’m betting it’ll be like 20s per win in 5v5 team que.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I was excited until the necro signet specifically said “PLAYER allies”, cant even use it for minion burst, whats the use now :/
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Lol. Hide, hide, hide. 2 people left. The hidden thief and the champion who bested all others left with 5k hp! BACKSTAB! Thief wins! :P xD

Tried to get as close to this as I could with what I had in PvP
What chest, legs and boots are that? :o
Trickster legs/chest, Kodan boots
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Am I the only one really confused about this?
If the passive heals you when you are struck it means that either:
a) you never take damage, since you out-heal incoming or;
b) it just mitigates damage, meaning you can never passively get to full HP until combat ends. The only way I can see this signet working, as it’s currently worded, is if either the active heal is huge, or you can recover the passive HP while in Deathshroud.
Maybe dec 10 is when they give us DS healing! #speculation
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I don’t really agree with it not matching anything. I came up with this set before I even saw their post (of course now I look like the rip off) but I was also going for a grenth look and this is what I came up with, with what limited supplies I had in sPvP
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Personally I’d be all for this. I don’t 100% agree on all the chosen types you listed but many of them I do, and it would be really cool. I don’t feel any class should have more than 1 per type but that may not be entirely feasible.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Its kind of hard to answer these cause certain builds fluctuate hard depending on team size of the fights and skill level. For instance:
MM NEcro is incredibly easy 1v1 versus nubs. It’s good but relatively even good player vs good player, both using decent 1v1 builds, and in large fights the skill factor needed to pull through is pretty high. (Phant mesmers have similar issues), likewise some builds are reverse. engies do better in groups to aoe down, and are less effective (imo) 1v1.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Low rank players keeping on capping then leaving the cap resulting to a fail team work because they still realized that getting a Personal highscore means that they are the best. This is why I hate mixing low ranks to those high rank players.
They need to just do away with those points so they stop getting mixed messages, to be perfectly blunt. Since they don’t matter anyways, just add new, comparable statistics.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Well depending on how it works, “leeching” hp from the enemy when it’s used, if it’s substantial at all it’ll allow MMs to do quite a bit of burst damage it sounds like o.o
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I just don’t like how all the siphon scaling is to weak and that the minion siphoning doesn’t scale at all. Not sure if that is a bug or what, perhaps it has been fixed since the last time I tested it after the siphon lol buff patch.
Minion siphoning does scale, damage with power and healing with healing power, its just very small because they can add up quickly.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I do think if you keep ranks, they should be a little faster to get since rewards are streamline, maybe doubling glory needed every 10 instead of tripling would be good? Can’t farm Hotjoins (as effectively) nor abuse skyhammer anymore, so I think it should be a little faster on the numbers side of things since people can’t exploit the glory gain anymore. Just my opinion though, see how long it takes in high ranks causes it to be pushed to the back of the mind, which isn’t really fun. Goals shouldn’t be pushed to the back of the mind, or they’re hardly goals, just stuff that eventually happens.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Whats with all the MM crying after all this time? If anything last patch we lost some hp regen, and had some other minor nerfs. They’ve always been there and have the same insane list of weaknesses, probably best to just learn how to fight someone and not get overwhelmed that there are more pixels on your screen. FYI spirits don’t attack you, they’re casted signets, that give support and are killable by cleave or aoe, all depends on how you want to look at it/cry about it. >_>:

^ Basically that except I prefer 10 in spite to be the focus trait and run focus. Focus 4 is tons of LF and good damage, and 5 is pretty beefy, always good to have some boon rip handy. Plus its a 1200 6 second chill.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
They’re climbin into your account, +1ing people up, tryin to rate them. So ya’ll need to hide yo kids, hide yo wives, and hide yo husbands cause they ratin errybody out here.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
issues i have with pet spam in pvp:
- pet dmg is too high, it should be shifted to player
- underwater ranger can’t die, they just sit forever in downed state and keep comming back to life (interrupting is not as easy, lol underwater combat)
- major clustering of the screen
- and major one: pet blocking, for w/e reason this game prioritizes pets instead of targeted person if they stand close to each other
1. I agree, I’d like if minion traits also benefited the master in some way to allow us to do more damage and them still be useful, and especially moving some of their damage to their actives so that they were better/more meaningful.
2. Don’t really pay attention much to water combat, myself, its a joke way beyond ranger.
3. Yeah, cluster is an issue but at least minions don’t have many particle effects and 3 of them are stationary, bone minions are small, the worst are the Shadow fiend and Flesh golem, most of them could use a bit of a size decrease.
4. Making them smaller would probably fix some of this, but yes, body blocking should be nerfed for non-cleave attacks, such as necro dagger, thief backstab, that sort of thing.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
^ I don’t think you’re entirely caught up to speed, mr. Jax.
I only skimmed over the notes but from what I remember:
- Glory removed
- PvE gear worn in PvP (therefore they have our rewards)
- Gold used in PvP
Right?
There will be a progressive system to get rewards in PvP, and some stuff you can only get via PvP (specifically with ladders), the whole system details are just unfinished at the moment so we don’t have all of the information we need. Most of this is still speculation. Gold will be universally used in pve and PvP but it doesn’t mean it’ll be the way you get the armor. (Similarly you can’t go buy CoF armor with gold) there will be non gold-related goals from what I understand.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)

Okay what I want on a very specific level:
A One-handed sword that is a sword-whip like Ivy’s from soul caliber, that dangle’s when not un use, but brought out, and is together when sheathed, and when you swing is whips around like a bamf.
IE: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/12/127694/2488646-ivy-valentine-soulcalibur-broken-destiny-picture.jpg (excuse the massive boobs)
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
In a perfect world I’d like High power+ prec/tough or high power+ tough/healing power, but in spvp I just don’t have those options.
Clerics has too little power for me.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Why minis? We cant even have minis out in pvp
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it wrong. I want:
Stealth, stability, on demand rezzes, condition damage, etc removed because I don’t like them. (sarcasm btw)
Believe it or not, and of course you won’t, but AI builds have a LOT of risk to them, hence why you don’t even see them in high tier pvp except Spirit ranger (which isn’t even an AI build, it summons killable buffs, essentially like signets). For example I bet you didn’t know MM has very little on-demand condi removal, no stability, no bonus evades/blocks, no stun breaks except 1 if you run wurm which sacrifices a minion AND has to be precasted with a 1.5 second CD, our traits that heal us don’t even heal us in Death shroud, we’re severely weak to AoE spam, our main focus is control so stability and zerkers stance hinders our ability to perform well, but you don’t see me crying about warriors and this and that. Its called having weaknesses. One of the biggest weaknesses to standing still in combat and not kiting and playing like a nub is that you’ll get hit by anything and everything, that’s your fault.
Read the first few paragraphs and the pros and cons and you’ll see why MM is my favorite spec, and it isn’t because it’s “easy faceroll” cause when you play in the top 100 like me, it’s not, and in fact most of its weaknesses are exactly what the meta is all about (hambow warriors, aoe condition spams, cleave damage), but I still keep trucking along:
This entire game is LOADED with passive damage. You have auto attacks, you don’t line up your shots, boons are “passive” once you cast them as they’re long lasting passive bonuses to everything you do, traits are passive, there is just so much damage you can just expect to take, and it’s not limited to AI making easy hits. It’s an MMO with pvp, this isn’t a fighter so please for the love of god, just stop pretending you work so much harder than everyone else because you don’t have other entities around you. Think about it for a minute how other entities you have to watch (much more than the enemy has to watch) can be a downside and actually increase skill-factor, and you’ll realize just how silly it is to complain.
Stop with all the “AI” is why I lose at everything, and just learn to play and make builds that are good in multiple scenarios and not just gimmick burst builds and you won’t have HALF the issues you have.
/endrant
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Sure as long as it’s a blood magic grand master. Last thing we need is conditionmancer’s (whose condition bursts has most thieves covering their groins) with good sustain.
I would love for sustain on the necromancer to get addressed but first anet has to figure out what they want to do with the class.
It doesn’t need to be a trait. Necromancers who don’t have vamperic traits, blood fiend, etc won’t be healing in DS very much at all anyways. #6 is still locked in DS. They might get a little hp from regen (not a big deal, 150 heal ticks with condi spec?) and… what? Maybe some hp gain if someone ELSE heals them. Yeah, that should happen, hence the other person healing them o.O
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I’m not going to discuss it if you all are going to be so closed minded.
Are you seriously telling me a MM would NEVER take Vampiric Precision even if it recieved a substantial buff. Say, a 1000% increase?
Bawb, obviously if someone can crit, they must be using berserkers right? Please.
MM works best with Soldiers, (because 50+% of their damage are from unscaling minions) AND it’s a defensive tree. So, generally speaking if an MM is (in pvp) not speccing for soldiers, they’re giving up too much defense for not enough return.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I made my closest PvP grenth that I could.
Edit: Those jerks(jk) took my idea almost to the t. T_T

I will say; I hope the glory portion of buying items won’t be absurd just due to people who farmed the hell out of glory. You have to realize there are those of us rank 20-35ish who played normally and didn’t hoard the whole way and don’t have a lot. While those vendors exist they should still be reasonable GOALS even starting fresh, not just a place to dump Glory (especially since itll be split cost).
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
Just leave ranks, but don’t make the bulk of rewards come from them. There was nothing WRONG with ranks, just that it was the only way to obtain anything. The long term goal was fine for what it was (finishers, titles, prestige).
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
that helm looks like the warlock tier 8 of wow , how creative ……:(
It’s what grenth’s hood really looks like:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:%22Grenth%22_concept_art.jpg
And that dates to 2008, and WOTLK shipped in Nov of 2008, and it’s tier 8 armor didn’t come out until sometime in 2009. o.o

kitten is the best, hands down. it’s big, open, has some LOS but isn’t too nuts with it. It’s perfect.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I would like:
1. PvP rewards to be equal in time to obtain versus PvE.
2. A chance to get LS items in the form of PvP skins via PvP.
3. Some skins that are unique to PvP (as far as obtaining them goes)
4. Good gold return so that we can have more PvP playerbase (attracting some PvErs who have thought about PvP but didn’t see the point).
5. No more year+ grinds for a single item/itemset.
6. More/new pvp skins, stuff we haven’t seen and doesn’t require a gemstore.
7. Class-Specific armor skin set (or at least shoulders/helm) for getting Champion achievement! Champion warlock for example would reward Champion Warlock armor.
Those are the major things I’d like.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
As long as I’m rocking it, MM Necro will be S, and people will complain.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
No single skill should apply this many conditions. Even if it can be dodged in a 1v1, in a group fight, it’s almost impossible to watch out for while focusing on multiple enemies. I can understand something like Corrupt Boon “applying” a potentially large stack of conditions, but it requires your target to have the corresponding boons in place. Signet of Spite has no such requirements and its conditions have ridiculously long durations.
I agree that the base durations are a bit over the top.. same with corrupt boon. If you don’t have the option to dodge this, perhaps invest in some Lyssa runes or other means of dealing with a stack of conditions.
Corrupt boon was all we had against Lyssa and it doesn’t even hit stability anymore.
CB is in a terrible state right now, don’t nerf it more! I’m not sure anyone even runs it anymore. :/
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
No, because the well one isn’t ran with the MM one, nor is (or really, should) the on-crit one ran with the MM one, and most times just one is taken and coupled with Blood thirst. So, if they buff the crit-leech and well leech and balance those to the MM one, the world would be in a swell place.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I noted it b/c it is a notable difference between the two. Both have rewards to be found in game but only pvp has out of game rewards offered.
Besides PvErs are notorious for taking the path of least resistance…..ie they will not want to work for rewards rather than kill 6 bosses over and over again as long as the latter is easier/faster.
Exactly why you make PvP gold income more, it requires more work, and it’s incentive to get some PvErs to start PvPing (which is the lacking side, it needs some incentive).
In return some pvpers will try pve more with leveling scrolls.
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
the message must be clear.
sPvP is the end game to rake in riches.
not PvE farming.Yikes, talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg……ie…not really a good idea.
You don’t want to kitten off the PvErs. They are the grease that keeps the game going.
PVErs already have riches, at least more than PVP. It wouldn’t hurt to let us have a turn, and if it attracts a few PvErs to actually work for their money rather than kill 6 bosses over and over and over and over in FGS, would it REALLY be the end of the world? >_>:
Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t PvP already have the best rewards? I don’t ever recall PvE having rl cash prizes, hotel, airfare, etc…
Yyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. Hosted real life tourneys are not the same thing as game mechanics for the normal player base… There’s quite a difference, I’m really surprised you said that.
