People really need to realise that it doesn’t come down to 1 build but instead it comes down to several factors – player Skill, Stats, Gear & Level.

In order to counter certain classes you must first know how to counter classes, do a bit of reading maybe experiment with other classes do 1v1s with certain classes.

As a d/d ele myself i have sacrificed my DPS for the defensive, not everything in this game has to be glass cannons to suit others who die to the weakest class, i choose defensive stats to outlast my enemy, even out skill them not because i had to but i chose to as the choice is there.

As for balance, the only thing that needs to be “balanced” is bugs & culling, classes are fine as they are (maybe start buffing instead of nerfing) let others choose what they want to do rather than being “The boy that cried NERFZ!” After being killed several times.

It could be immobilize, i dunno….

It could be me that’s only getting this, but even immobilized>mist form it always broke me free letting me get away….this has recently happened to me after recent patch in wvw alot (seems alot of ninja changes didn’t make it onto patch notes)

Neither break stuns, right now they are useless in every case.

Been testing these 2 over the past few days and i can confirm they don’t break stuns making us even more squishy…..

I would say warrior if you want your first time to be easy.

Then try necro for your second time as by playing the game with
the warrior you will have a good feel for the game.

Personally, I choose elementalist when i first played the game simply because it requires skill, timing & alot of kiting, but IMO, play the class you want to play, you have 5slots so go wild

If your that worried about a website, then don’t go to it, simple as that.

If someone did indeed infect the website we would have heard about it by now, This is a false positive from avast (Typical).

Make sure everything you have on your PC is up-to-date (Java, Flash) for a “Higher” Security, Download Malwarebytes antimalware (Database gets updated regularly, best scheldued for updates at an hourly rate) and run it with Avast (or…just uninstall Avast) (try running website with avast on & off with malwarebytes on)

Also, if you are only using Avast as your only protection..well be prepared for alot of malware/spyware/adware, This antivrus is notoriously bad at protecting users.

Sidenote: If you are using Google Chrome/Firefox to the latest build, Avast will trigger fasle-positives if your addons (Java, Flash etc.) aren’t up-to par.

I Can confirm gw2lfg.com is a clean website, I am on it very often without any Hiccups (both on PC & Smartphone, also using Eset on smartphone) I then downloaded free trial App of Avast, Gave me a False Positive on my smartphone (Uninstalled Avast straight away) Started up Eset again, databases are also regularly updated meaning higher security, and no hiccup from it.

i will NOT download & Install Avast on my PC, simply due to their installers hiding away hidden files across the PC (mostly adware infected) and I never trust Avast due to their “Incident”, so it is up to the avast users, if any, to confirm if it is safe or not safe, but for me it is safe.

EDIT: not saying any of this to “Defame” a company and what not, I am only speaking the truth and my opinion on this certain company/software.

Due to the insanely long cast time for Churning earth it actually helps us out a bit with lightning flash…

Churning Earth (Long channel time) > Lightning Flash (Short cast time, AND a cantrip which breaks us out of stuns)

this is like saying i stunned that ele but he used the cantrip mist form, its a bug.

Avast is an awful piece of software to be using to protect your system…
Believe it or not, few years back they got caught sneaking adware/malware into their installations of Avast same goes with another awful antivirus company.

For security I use 2 main Antiviruses (Eset Smart Security & Malwarebytes Anti-Malware), I also use another one for scanning the system after scans on both of my antiviruses are completed (Spybot Search & Destroy), These are the best, never caused me any problems and have always protected me, In my opinion anyway.

As for GW2lfg.com it is perfectly fine.

it was a patch to PvE content and 1 change to a class, nothing WvW related xD

I rarely see FC in the battlefield (A bit like us On ET atm) but when I do, well you better be prepared for an awesome fight.

I have had epic fights with Ferguson Crossing, And I do hope to see a lot more of them in the battlefield, even when outmanned you will see some wandering around being a nuisance xD

Looking forward to reset also FC, we will see alot more of each other <3

Agreed, these bugs are really annoying but I’m not expecting to be fixed any time soon as the devs seem more interested in other classes.

I really hope they do an actual Class balance, fix the classes (especially the outright most buggiest class, elementalist…but even I know i will be waiting 1/2 a year to get ele at least 1/2 fixed, and all i need to wait is until end of january until we get nerfed again due to people wanting it easy not knowing how the ele actually works and cry nerf as we specced into surviability to at least have a chance)

and most of all, they fix the “older” content (Content already in-game at launch) Too many bugs that still haven’t been fixed.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Southsun Cove be more…..useful, right now it is just a waste of resources (Sorry whoever developed it, but right now…well as much as it is nice looking, it is just bland and useless, only 1 thing is useful there and that is the Rich Ori node)

oh and can’t forget for a more optimized game, although doubtful, I am really hoping for this :\

Fractals, I don’t do it I guess i’m just being lazy but meh, The change at end of Jan will be good & bad.

My main concern is that people will be disappointed in the patch due to arenanets choice of words with little to no content changes in the patch….

Few more bugs to note that has nothing to do with internet or lag:

Rtl rubber bands you as in kepps going for a bit longer and then pushes you back to where it would have originally stopped.

Rtl when triggered can stop auto run and/or when holding the move forward key will make you stop at the end of the animation making you release move key, pushing the key, release and push to start moving again making it annoying in wvw.

MG will not always stun enemies and overshoot you from the target whilst holding you in position for a while.

Thought it was me at first but after extensive research and asking others it seems it is common among others.

Now to wait for 1/2 a year just to get 1 bug fixed,…………

Vets/champs rarely drop loot contradicting the 15nov patch.

MF drop rate is messed up, for example 4 rare 80 daggers gave me a blue 74 dagger wtf?

Edit: like to add to this post and i have not once had a problem with downed state…and I usually solo/duo zergs, not that hard to stomp players whilst the rest are standing in my ring of fire….dying.

To the Kaineng D/D Ele that we spent 15 minutes fighting each other near godsword, great fight also, actually you are going to LOL at me but I accidentally tabbed out hence why I stood there for a solid 45seconds and you were still trying to kill me > Mist form > Heal > attune water = Full health xD, great fight though was very even between us until scouts showed up, was really enjoying it and yo just disappeared

Come to Eredon Terrace, We have fought GoM a few weeks back and was an enjoyable fight for us at ET.

Why come to ET rather than a winning server?

We have great commanders and several guilds that work together each night coming up with new plans and tactics to put up 1 hell of a fight.

We don’t run around in mindless zergs for karma trains, instead we use tactics and takeover several things at the same time whilst distracting invaders.

To us at ET, wvw is not about the winning, but about the enjoyment and activity from it.

We have a community that listens to each other rather than argue with each other.

We may not be winning as we don’t have the population to do so yet, but when Eredon Terrace steps into WvWvW, we become 1, 1 community, 1 spirit, 1 Sword in the chest of an invader, to fight our enemies with grace and loyalty.

For communicating and telling the group to actually kill the breeders first before pulling howler in AC P1….

5 wipes later and they still didn’t kill the breeders >.<

I mean, kicked for something I and other speed run groups do and getting called a scrub is rather hilarious……LOL

This happened to my full party today whilst doing AC path 1…nobody died and nobody got rewarded with tears and xp.

I submitted a bug report on this, kinda kittened off by this “bug”……

Skipping IS NOT a problem.

IMO, people play the game as they want to, whether that is skipping in instances or not.

In any other mmo, skipping can be done to make the instance “grind” quicker, this game isn’t different either.

If people want to do speed runs with maximum skipping, then so be it (rewards from the chests are always useless blues anyway….not really REWARDING)

Also, by skipping, this lets you do the instance faster, progress faster and lets you do more instances in a day.

If only arena net DID NOT PUNISH players for playing the game the way the player wants to with Diminished Returns, RNG and unrewarding loot/trash loot…………

Yesterday (24/12), kaineng zerg, ET borderlands, Gods word supply camp: was an honor fighting you guys, thanks so much for all the glorious badges of honor and how 1/2 your zerg stood and watched in awe as I [NERD] and another Terran by the name of unazaran [TAC] (sorry if mispelled) duo’d you all…was very fun and taught me a valuable lesson with my D/D ele, was the most fun i had….also, ty una for sacrificing yourself when more showed up to let me get away and recover, i owe you one <3 :P Merry Christmas all (typing from smartphone atm….lol)

After Plinx got nerfed Cursed Shore just became more dead…

it isn’t just your server, there are other servers and most of these zones are now rendered useless as it is not very good farming (on top of that, loot bug) and most of the 80s have already gotten everything they need and just go and do Wv3

add on top of that, most of the 80 zones have been bugged since launch and have hardly been touched by the Devs, so people get fed up and go do something else…

Get some guildies with you if need be, wouldn’t expect Orr to become alive for a while.

Uhh, that update is not coming until the end of january sadly….

I think it is fine (Finally….I could see the Incinerator stats at long last, and now i want it due to its PvT stats ;-;).

anyway, nobody will buy them unless they have disposable income, which….for 1 weapon is not worth it.

(Incinerator is reasonably priced, the first decently priced leggy on tp, but still…nobody will buy it)

Grenth is important due to it’s choice of gear.

Grenth has ALOT more PVT (Power, Vitality, Toughness) gear than the other temples (Except legs, no temple has PvT leg gear, only through dungeons can you get the PvT Leggings).

PvT Gear is prioritized on being important due to its defensive stats for particular builds and classes.

Grenth also has more adds spawning at a time on several stages of “Cleansing” the temple to open it up which could also be a potential (And was) farming spot.

Grenth, also, has the 2nd most (Quickest way) organization needed due to the Shades spawning, you will see several guilds there communicating with each other to open it up and get tactics ready, which in turn could help in other temples & WvWvW.

Although Balthazar needs more organization, in order to get there it takes far too long, hence why people choose Grenth for organization.

That is why grenth is important

Easy way to counter this is to stun lock the ele when he/she goes into vapour form when downed so he/she cannot move into the keep.

Also, instead of crying about things, try the class first and you will see why most eles have a hard time keeping up, and are in this so called “Bunker” build.

His character name was Reviq , who I among many others have reported, and have lost ALOT o respect towards Yaks bend for this, disgraceful act of recruitment & the chest thumping made me fall of my chair, laughing.

this went on for 2-3 days until we all told him to transfer back, no heard a word from him since, and I hope no more people from Yaks Bend come to our server trying to recruit from us, I am sickened by this act.

Oh no, Don’ feel sorry for us, we didn’t lose players to these recruitments, we have something called “Loyalty”, alot of servers have never heard of this before, And will never transfer off a Good server, we will continue to rebuild ET and restore it’s Former Glory.

Until then, If i see 1 Recruiting message I will post screenshots here, name and shame the person & Server and i will go back and play the game.
