If HoD would like to move on over to ET (Seeing as ET have a stable footing atm, and we don’t give up easily…and I’m Sure HoD don’t give up easily either, but as the weeks go on HoD seems to be getting worse & ET seems to be getting better) Then I’m all for it, would be great to do our own server merges rather than waiting for the Developers’ to let it deteriorate even further as time goes on.
This way if we do our own “Server Merges” then that could at least tackle some of the problems in the WvWvW part of the game, and can significantly help out other servers who are in need of that extra push.

It is sad to see servers basically go down the drain and Developers do nothing about it (Well, they may be doing something, but we don’t know that as they haven’t told us, the community, so we Assume they do nothing about it)

well, getting the patch sometime tonight/today would be good…

don’t want to log-in, go into an instance and then get kicked out for the patch….

being the “first” big expansion, i guess we could see some delays…but too much of a delay and you lose interest basically.
hopefully, once Arenanet are fully stable on their feet we could see better timing

submitted an In-game report almost last week about this, still no response nor any word about it….

is it being fixed or is it just being left in disrepair?

If after nov15th patch this isn’t fixed I will be really disappointed..

According to this tour:

- Everyone will be boosted to Level 80 in LA.
- Sylvari won’t be too happy as trees get destroyed…ALOT
- Tougher mobs (Karka) to fight (Due to shell protection, but is it really that hard when this game mostly focuses around DPS?)
- After attempting to “Defend Lions Arch” The next one-time event (17th November) you will Invade the “Karkas” Land, help Tyria set-up Outposts & Waypoints along the way (probably up until the event ends on the finale), and then attempt to Re-take Lions Arch.
- November 18th, is still a surprise, but if you have been playing MMOs for a long-time it is obvious what you are going to expect, a fight of a “Super-Champion” most likely, but all this is just speculation, we will need to wait & Find out on that day.

EDIT: i created this thread for those who may want to skip school/work for this event, I do not nor do i want people to take time off work for a game, but that isn’t up to me and that is up to the individual.

i also don’t want QQ in this thread on how this event doesn’t include you and how “ANet should do this instead”, as they have stated they do these times when most of the population in-game are prime (Or population is at the highest).

It is ashame for those who may miss out on this event however, it is only a game and the zones will still be there for you anyway.

whichever server holds the most points may have better 24/7 coverage, better teamwork/strats & Maybe a public teamspeak/vent/mumble.

WvWvW also comes down to numbers, sadly.

However, it isn’t about the winning, but its about the fun you get out of WvWvW.

Probably a dumb question, but how does one view the Combat Log in the first place?

it should be in your chat box (If your Chat box is default settings) called “Combat”.

If it isn’t there, create a new tab on the chat box, Name it “Combat” Untick every channel except Combat, and then you should have a combat log.

OT: Yes…I have noticed this, and it is really irritating.

i go D/D Ele…and most of the tme i feel like banging my head as it doesn’t show accurate numbers….i think the games combat box is thinking im in a low level area where as im at the dps test area in HoTM >.<

i have seen these type of “Messages” in several threads now, alot of it being aimed towards ET.

it really is annoying, how is a server to recover when people try and snipe members of that recovering server away….kind of reminds me of a guild in a previous game i played that would snipe anyone with cash-shop (Power) Items from other guilds, gank lowbies, and do exploits, which in turn gave them a bad name and people tried to avoid them like a plague, whilst the rest of us growed in strentgh, they lost alot of players due to a recent cash-shop item that lets you transfer (costing around $25 per transfer, and the game had a “Lottery” type feel to it, where people would spend $5k+ a month JUST to get 1 item)

anyway, sorry for blabbing on there, but we at eredon terrace are trying to recover (And are doing very well at it) and these “Recruitments” aren’t helping at all.

No idea why this game doesn’t have this option..

Add “Fog” Distance into the graphics options with a slider of 1%-100%…

This option should also Ease up the FPS (Draw distance is to great in the game with no way of changing it) problems people have been having for a while now (Including myself…can hardly play the game because of massive FPS drops…hoping my other GFX card with a Larger memory than my current intergrated one will help with my fps…)

seriously…..this is a NECESSITY for large games (Pretty much only Indie/Arcade titles do not add this option….)

If you are in RUIN you will know that the lack of a strong RUIN presence has nothing to do with “running from a challenge”.

Ruin is tired, its officers need a rest. The WvW game is not as fun as it used to be, and saving Desolation from defeat is not Ruin’s job.

It just shows you that Deso lacks the large, strong organised guilds it needs to pull its own weight. Ruin is not Desolation; the pugs need to step up.

I must say…I’m proud to be an…Eredonian(?)…

We fight hard, get so little yet we still have great members on our server dedicated to putting up a fight rather than putting down arms and running away. (And are also dedicated on rebuilding the server rather than using the free-tranfer rubbish that should have never been introduced)

Yes, we took loses (Population Wise) but that will never stop a server no matter how small or big to stop fighting, you may not see us everywhere, but we definitely see you (Implying of sneakiness).

I have seen “Recruitment” Threads and “Which server”, and it is very disheartening to see “Avoid HoD/ET like a plague, let them fall” Comments, there is one thing everyone should know.

A server does not fall. We only pick ourselves up, and fight for the future.

Anyway, enough of my…speeches (I guess i’ve No-Lifed AC3 i feel like an assassin -.-)

Regarding MAG & EHMRY – Hacking Posts again? Really? *Sigh, guess I’ll say this a 2nd time in 2 weeks:

Just because 1 person hacks on a server doesn’t mean you need to Class that certain server the hacker is on as a “Hacking Server”, It is 1 person (Or 2..) that is there, to ruin the fun of the game as they are SORE losers and have NO Skill (Definition of a Hacker right there) and by saying “Ohhh X Server Hacks” only disheartens those who read the thread, a REPORT button in-game is there for a reason, USE it.

now can we get back onto our WvWvW or does everyone just want to keep throwing words down each others throat?

I for one want to get back to the WvWvW thread (as Title says) and keep this thread clean of the word “Hack” “Glitch” and any other stupid words that were made to ruin the fun of a game. =)

Come to Eredon Terrace, we need more players to help rebuild the server =(

I’d like to point out a few things regarding ET:

- We have almost tripled our weekly score within a few days
- We have put up a better fight this week than the rest of the weeks
- Although we are in our own BL, it is better to maintain your own BL rather going to 4 different BLs and risk losing your own BL, we don’t really have the numbers yet to go out to several borderlands, but I feel ET has done 400% more work this week than previous weeks (And it shows…we put up good fights even if we are outnumbered 3:1 and are at the risk of losing whatever is getting attacked due to the size of the attacking group, but we don’t give up. Giving up is the easy option.)
- After w/e happened to our server (Not gonna say so not to cause drama) I think our server has become closer as a community and has started to work together, rather well at that also, we also have great commanders that know what they are doing, when to do something and don’t QQ at you for doing something wrong.

I can go on all-day congratulating my own server as our Work ethic has been outstanding this week, and i can only hope we only get better, not just at WvW, but as a server, together we shall fight! (hehe….movie references -.-)

I would also like to point out to EVERYONE, each server has their own hackers, cheaters & Bots (Their isn’t just 1 server with a handful of hackers) and for a person to know if he/she hacks is near impossible until the hacker displays the hacking (E.g Flying, etc.) and the accusations of such in a thread is useless, if you see a hacker, report it to the developers, there is no need to bring that kind of stuff in a thread and diminishing the thread as a “OMG This person hacks I blame this server for not taking care” Nonsense.

FA – you guys have great numbers……i also got a whisper from one of your guys (He knows who he is) and he made me walk into a trap of thieves (At least…..i hope it is thieves and not culling issues) lol, it made me giggle for at least an hour…then we just talked about the score etc. but you guys have a great community and a great WvW work ethic, i hope your recruitmen drive works, was fun fighting you! (I’ll still fight you…..just got AC3 and seeing as im a big fan of Assassins creed games i MUST play it xD).

but its annoying that I or other people need to travel to lions Arch, type in /Map asking for help and such, and costing around 8 silver (Some may say i could use the mists for free travel….However I still need to spend 3 or 4 Silver to get back to Jormag, and most likely nobody will show as the server doesn’t know it is up…..and with the loot from chest being, well horrible for myself, making that silver means more farming) for example:

Claw Of Jormag opens up > Travel to Lions Arch, costing me 3 silver or something > type in /map “Jormag up [Waypoint is here]” > Travel back to frostgorge Sound costing me 3 silver or something > Total cost 6silver and xx Copper > at the end of it……hardly anyone shows up as they are either AFk or in other zones :|

Having /Server (or) /World:

Claw of Jormag opens up > type in /World (Or /Server) “Jormag up [Waypoint Here]” >success as everyone on the server has saw the announcement.

Thus having /server Or /world is easier, cheaper and alot more people will see it.

Edit: Play a ele, and you will see why alot go bunker builds, the cloth mechanics in GW2 is pretty lame in a way that eles are uber squishy.

and trying to say “We got nerfed, so this should be nerfed also” is just…..a lame excuse.

as i said and as someone else said, Learn, study & Research. (Not saying that in a bad way, but it is the only thing that will help you out….)

it just feels to crowded, and..well Lazy design (IMO)

Especially the Guild Section & No Server sub-categories :|

Suggestion:

- Instead of Having The forum Category “Guilds” Replace it with “Servers”
- For this, just Archive all the guild forum Posts so that it is visible to others so they can copy and paste their format.

Example of “Server” instead of “Guilds”

(Sub Forum)

When upon dying, the vision starts to go Blurry & Foggy (Mist like) So nobody can use there dead corpse as a scout. (THis means they can’t see whats going on around them, and is forced to ressurect)

These aren’t considered as players.

and on-top of that, most if not all botters get reported & Banned (perma ban/Temp ban, either way if they return, they will have no gold in inventory as they have used an “Exploit” To gain illegitimate money.)

also, Bots don’t need to use looter pets, as the name suggests, they bot their loot.

For looter pets, I am thinking that Anet should put them in BLTC for 350Gems (They are in the BLTC as they aren’t required to play the game, Looter pets are for those, like me, who like to farm and get all the loot, and basically do nothing with the gold afterwards xD)

I would like to see some other suggestions on Looter pets, and should (If Anet do decide to put them into the game in the future) they be put on the BLTC or giving out “Free”?

I will say that Dredgehaunt wasn’t the easiest zone in the game, for me the 3 Orr zones still top as the most frustrating zones in the game.

+1, Orr is the most…..annoying zone full of mobs, everywhere you go, your’e getting pulled left, get pulled right, stun this stun that ;-;

However….I love Orr at the same time, the drop rate is awesome, easy to farm…and most of all enjoyable par from dying alot xD

so…umm, is this intended and if so…what is the difference between the Superior & Major?

I would have thought the Superior Sigil Of Water would have a 40-45% chance…and not the same as the major sigil :S

Quick Score update for those who are not in-game atm or sleeping/just out of bed ^-^

Worked fine for me yesterday when I was continuing my Story, although Lagged towards the end pretty bad.

you need to place 4 Ghostfire-bombs in the hold (Take one from the researcher, place it at a random spot in the hold, take another from the researcher, repeat until quest moves forward) ,What I did was place one at the North, one at the south, one at the east & one at the west side of the hold, And the quest moved on without any bugs for me.

If the pact researcher doesn’t follow (This could be a “Still in combat” Bug) I suggest making our way back to the top deck of the ship (where most of the vets are), Take off your gear, start a fight with the mobs, die a few times and hopefully researcher and the rest of them should follow, If pact don’t follow I suggest clearing the whole ship out (Especially the Rotmouths), and go in the water and get rid of left-over Krait/risen, This should hopefully stop the combat bug and make the Researcher interactive again.

seriously.

I keep missing loot when farming large group of mobs, events etc. 5-10 minutes after i walk by the same place and i spam F finding that i didn’t pick up ALL the loot.

Looter pets could also come in handy For WvWvW loot drops (The bags that drop by your feet)…not everyone stays in 1 position in PvP Circumstances thus making them misss loot/Badges.

its annoying to say, especially spamming F to pick up all the loot (With “Autoloot” on, which…doesn’t really make it autoloot….if it was autoloot i wouldn’t have to spam F, lol ;p)

Bugged On Eredon terrace also (They are all standing in a perfect line, doing nothing and morale isn’t decreasing, so no chance of reset atm) been like this for 16+ hours now…hopefully Server Reset time might fix it…..hopefully -.-

I Will +1 this, however:

- No flying mounts
- No combat mounts
- All “Foot” Mounts, (granting an increase of 45% movement speed) Thus giving time to also explore the zones (Flying mounts tend to ruin the exploration)
- “Special” mount Skins can be bought from BLTC for gems (Giving Anet some sort of profit from this idea also…..what? All companies like a bit of profit no matter how small, and i would support this idea…..)

Elementalists = Mage (Or Wizard, w/e you prefer)

eles have the 4 elements, Fire, Water, Earth, Air.

WE also have dps, Support, Heals & Speed which is basically what a wizard does…

and we can also get arcane skills via utility skill slots.

if this isn’t classed as a Wizard, then i don’t know what is….

not trying to “Push” This suggestion off or put you down, just saying Wizard=Mage=Elementalist xD

Well I haven’t entered WvW for a few days as I’m farming (DR sucks….) and going to try and finish of my “Personal” Story, maybe do some SPvP (Never tried it until a few days ago…..)…

honestly, I’m glad I wasn’t in WvW Last night in admist fighting all those golems’ as my monitor/Tv would have a hole in it, and keyboard would be sitting outside in the middle of the road with the mouse lol.

A valid tactic, however considered to some as “Dirty” Play.

We killed about 15 ET trying to take back ET garrison about 30min ago..
Someone commented, these ET players/guilds are great and they are totally welcome to join us on yaks because they’re obviously like us on yaks who don’t server hop chasing the glory like the top tiers..

Because where is the “glory” on Bandwagoning to another server…just so you can be on top and play “God”? Nahh, The game is fun either way, no need to server switch (Unless there is 1 person online in the server afk in LA….) lol. (free server switching should have NEVER been introduced, surely Anet would have known the after-effects of it….and on-top of that many games died due to Server/Faction switching, just my opinion on server switching, tad offtopic but still)

Anyway, I’m just out my bed atm and gonna go play GW2 just to farm gold/mats then do WvW later today when I’m fed-up farming ;p

Well, Last night was my first time in WvWvW (Was worried in case it broke my internet or GFX card….it didn’t and it gave me more fps -.-) and even though ET was outnumbered by a massive amount I had alot of fun (Slaughtering) SoR invaders with my Meteor Shower at the tower we were defending for quite some time (The one with the 2 catapults bombarding your walls)…of course we lost the tower but I feel ET done well on both the Defensive & Offensive.

To me (and this might just be me, but I doubt it) it isn’t about the winning, but it is the fun to be had in WvWvW.
