I fully agree with OP.Anet doesn’t care to give us challenging content anymore.They prefer to gain new people more then to keep veterans to stay.Problem is that Anet thinks vary wrong here.Players that are interested in game,wont mind to discover themselves how to dodge or heal…those that want everything simple are those that have no interest in learning,which means no interest in really playing game for long.

Anet made some really big mistakes with NPE where they sort of declared us as kittens that dont know how to press 1 button and dodge.
Anet….Player who know to install game is also smart enough to know how to do those “hard tasks” that 3 years old kid can do anytime so there is no reason to make this game simple and dump.
Keep in mind that Buy To Play games are usually those that older people play,not little kids.Reverse the changes of NPE

Game have lots of people playing.Every1 who says otherwise lie or hate GW2 and WOW fanboys are ofc top in that.Now,will u like game or not,that all depends from what type of games you like since GW2 is vary different then WOW.As of my opinion,i play GW2 only LS (LS season 2 is vary good) and sometimes sPvP,WvW.I dont care for achievements or legendaries so there is nothing for me to do in game.My opinion is that GW2 is great game but lacks end game content.
What is sure is that GW2 have huge amount of players and with megaservers,every zone is well populated or at least have some players in there.

Why would any1 bother to kill 25000 boring mobs to make a sword that makes no difference in game at all…Legendaries are waste of time,they are ugly but cost you lots of invested time and money.With this you even made grinding for legendaries even more ridiculous.As for myself…im not selfish so i don’t care will they add this up or not,i would not use legendary even if someone pays me…but i just cant see a reason why would anyone bother lol.Legendaries are at same value as mini pets !Only difference in value is that players make it look worth of bothering,that and requirements to make it.

AT the end,you just get some super flashy weapon,that leaves ugly trail wherever you go, BUT does not even give better stats then weapon that you can buy for 4G.That slight difference in dmg is not important.There are also better skins in game then those that you get from “legendaries”.

All that would this make is another excuse for players who says that this game have “end game” and that we have lots of thing to do like for example – killing 25000 mobs to make some useless sword lol.

I have 1 good idea OP should add on this list XD.Why not add quest tracker like on other “awesome games” such as perfect world games…where you click on quest and your character runs alone and leads you to it.Why wasting time walking and pressing all those troublesome keyboard buttons when we can just watch character play game itself ! Awesome right !?

Great Idea ! I hope to see PVP on PVE maps since i started GW2

I would love some PVE map with PVP for simple reason cause im tired of zerging….whenever Anet makes a map inside of mists,they make capturing points and boring zerging with it.I wish they just make simple map like queensdale and let people PVP on it.So yeah…. +1 for PVP on PVE map.

Megaservers are fine.They are not made to mask anything,there are made so that newbies dont think how game is dead.This game is made too casual.You dont need to move from 1 place entire day and u can still play game.That is cause game is too much instanced.You can do PVP,WvW,Dungeons etc…staying in 1 town every day.Thats why open world zones were empty and dead.
You might didnt notice it but….before megaservers there were lots of forum posts with “I just start and didnt found anyone for 2h,is this server/game dead”?.
Since the day megaservers come…there was no such a post.
Im tired people calling megaservers “illusions” made to mask drop in player base.
Judging from what you are saying,ESO was dead even before release as well as WildStar.You know both those games had Megaservers even bofore game launched.I guess they were masking dead servers even before they officially start

I wish Anet brings some map that will be open world PVE/PVP with no capturing points so no zerging.For those that dont like it…dont go there,it will be just 1% of world map so not like you dont have where to RP or AFK.

Great game with huge unused potential.Best MMO graphic soo far,awesome combat,beautiful environment,beautiful armor designs,LS,best events that MMO genre had….but with all its beauty…no end game content,too easy and casual game,no proper 1vs1 pvp,nothing to do after you play for few months.

I liked Scarlet as well,in fact every player from my guild liked it.Some people think that Scarlet wasn’t good character – same as Treaherne just cause few annoying individuals come and wine on forums and youtube.This community thinks that voice of few people is voice of hall community.Thats why they think how Scarlet,Treaherne,Megaservers,LS and other things that are meter of preference is “what community thinks”.
Truth is that Arena Net knows how much people love Gw,they can see that in numbers of active players in this game.Even though many vocal haters on forum think how game is dropping,even through all server status is “HIGH” or “VARY HIGH”…they dont know a thing….only Anet knows it.

I know game have problems with end game and stuff…but still this game have greatest potential then any other MMO out there.

I just noticed same thing.I was playing inquisition when mesmer start hitting me with GS.After that he transformed me and killed as he would in PVP except that here i had torch for weapon…

First of all,you can see server population if you look for it.To make this thing easy to you,take BlackGate.
Second thing,server actually doesn’t matter unless you like PVP.Reason is cause all servers are fused under “megaserver”,so you will find people on your map from all other servers as well.Read on forum about megaservers little more.

Besides new LS that is btw vary good…there is almost nothing new in game.There was patch with some useless features that no1 wanted or cared about,some people like them,most of them hate them,as for me…i dont really care about them.Only good that happen since that period is new season of Living Story that seems much better then LS season 1.You will have to wait for it though,cause Anet made months of delaying it.

As Vayne said…if we want to play WOW,we would be there right now.I played WOW for 6 years and quit it after BC ended – never going back there…even as FTP game.Still,i play Archeage,i wait for some other game,but that does not mean i quit GW2.GW2 is still in my opinion by far BEST MMO out there.Its boring but still…i will wait for content as much as it takes.

Day/night in this game are almost the same,just small difference.There were many treads where players asked from devs to give us proper Night…dark nights but it didnt happen.

Make raids like on WOW.Put massive amount of people and give some really challenging content ( DONT MAKE IT EASY).Even though im happy about raids i just want to say…. DO NOT put Open World raiding aside.I love Open World raiding as GW2 have now lot more then traditional raiding.

I dont.I really hated LA.There was nothing fun about it…point of people afking there was for NOT having fun..or they would not afk in game at all.Im really glad it is destroyed and i really wish i had chance to help Skarlet in it :/.Too bad it wont stay like this for long…Anet does not know how to make impacted story.After LA is back…Season 1 will lose all purpose,it will be like nothing ever happen’d.

I been bored of GW2 many times,i felt that game lacks of content,proper 1vs1 PVP etc etc…but at the end…no matter how many other MMO’s i try i always get back to GW2.Gw2 is without doubt game with Biggest potential on a market even 2 years after launch.People can say how GW2 is bad,how has no content but….if Anet give us content,this game can be best game ever.

Same here.I like when day looks like day and night like night.This is not something that requires some heavy coding or anything…its easy to make and would make world looks so much more realistic and beautiful.Even better then Archage is what SONY ONLINE gonna make with Everquest Next.There you can see all phases of day/night.You can see dawn,dusk,night,eclipse and all of them looks amazing.All those phases shift slowly and not all of sudden like on GW2.There will be also night sounds and world will be more dangerous at night then at day.I soo wish i can see this in GW2 cause i dont like EQ cartoonish animation.Please Anet think about it…its not hard to make and it means ALOT for some of us.

Im just saying that if this is done right, it can be HUGE thing for people that like exploring and be reworded wile doing it.Important is that Anet dont make this too easy as they do with other things they are doing or people will burn out this content fast.Thats why they need to spread this collections all over world….to put them on places where we would never expect them,to surprise as at certain times with collection that we would never expect.All of this with great rewords can mean final end of AFK standing and doing nothing (at least for me).I go look now for that wooden potato video.

Just when i was thinking how this patch will go unnoticed cause of lots of useless features…1 but BIG made me exited about GW2 again.Collection if done right can expend end game….or better say to add finally end game content for this game.This feature is genius idea if it done right cause it will solve dead zones and no end game content at once.Finally we got reason to explore every part of the world,to try many things that we never did ( certain type of food,talk with certain npc’s in game,walk in houses that no1 except Rpers ever cared to do).

What Anet should do is make as much as possible “hidden” collections so that people need to search and explore to find them.Make those achievements hard to find and with no clue at all how to get them (dulfy will be enough).Give us reason to talk with every npc in game,to try every food in game,to pick every plant and walk in any house in game.

To make this collection feature an “end game” and important feature it needs also to have good rewords (no1 gonna bother doing anything for 2 rares + green or skins that we can buy on cash shop for 5G).Give new and unique rewords that are not just skins,add items like bank extension and makeover kit and then make them vary hard to find.I dont say that Anet should give us everything for free cause they wont earn money….what im saying is that they need to give players little push,to send them to this beautiful world.

If this is done right,collection can be updated in the future with many new collections and great rewords that players will actually care to find.I never cared about achievements but now this feature made even me exited.
This and game performance (FPS) is only thing im exited about this patch.

I agree with OP as well,GW2 is 1 purchase that i will NEVER regret.Every PayToPlay model FAILS eventually and turns to FTP which just makes him poor quality game.I will never buy and pay for any PTP game and as for FTP games…i like them but so far didnt found any with quality of GW2.Sure GW2 lacks of end game content….sure GW2 gets boring on lvl 80 after playing for a wile…heck i dont even play it much (just LS and WvW seasons,events and such)….but i played this game for months till i finally got bored wile i get bored after 1 month of playing any other game.ArenaNet made good game that just need to upgrade more,to make more PVP modes,more PVE end game content…to listen the community and make BEST MMORPG game ever made.Other games that trying to do that fail right from start and there is no help for them after that.Keep it going Anet and dont listen to ragers on forums.
