Props to the Mag’s players who stayed and fought on Mag BL in oceanic hrs last night, I think the guild tags were VR, PYRO and a few others. Good use of defensive siege, good movement around the map. Congrats on wiping our first push on NE tower.

Saiyr, I know you are a forum warrior and a troll, but for you to be a “voice of this server” and not want to talk about it, well, that shows just how much you just don’t really care. Not my problem either. Unfortunately, I walked into these problems when my guild decided to transfer here after being sold a bill of goods and seeing the exact opposite happen. No worries though, I’ll still be out there because the server actually benefits from my efforts.

There are very few things I care about in this game nowadays. Karma training usually isn’t one of them because that discussion has been played out in my mind for a long time. I’m sorry that someone oversold the server to you. I’m glad my curmudgeonly, apathetic voice does not stop you from helping out.

I logged on this morning to see not a whole hell of a lot of green, so instead of playing the toon i wanted to, I got my tag, said in LA that I needed men to come and help get our map back, and no one came until I got on the map and started putting a small dent in he SoS hold of mags map. The Xushin gets on and all the fly by nights just miraculously log on at the same time and run with him, while leaving me to beg my little guild to help. Same thing when Duke is on. Mags needs better skill in its players or we may as well just PvE it from here on out except the trains, because those trains accomplish nothing when our home maps is someone else’s colour. That simple.

You realize those trains accomplish nothing when our BL is another color because they don’t exist at those times, right? I’m really confused as to what your complaint is. If you’re frustrated by the lack of people following you when a popular commander logs on, there’s an solution…become a popular commander. People will always prefer to follow ones they know (and defending/upgrading was never a popular activity, for good reason). Maybe I missed something here, but I was on this morning running briefly with two commanders who I didn’t know and they took back most of our BL before Xushin started training.

Well, Saiyr, I was one of those commanders. I was in contact with Xushin the entire time. I had, at most, 15-20 people to try and hold off the SoS that were on the map when I started and the Ebayers that decided to wake up about 2 hours later.

As far as going on the maguuma forums, that would be an ill-advised venture. If you, or anyone else on Mags for that matter, has a problem with me putting these types of things up here, then maybe a change in strategy is needed. Every server out there knows that train is a’comin at some point every day, without fail. Hell, I’ve ran with it to level an alt. So far as becoming a popular commander, that will never happen because most T3 and lower servers have ZERO interest in actually defending and upgrading when they need to be done. Just saying.

You have my in-game id if you care to whisper me about what I am saying. I will not be joining the maguuma forums.

I have no issue with you posting it here, but it’s not an optimal place for any discussion. If you have no wish to interact with the community more, then I have nothing to say to you. I’m not going to whisper you about it because it’s not my issue to begin with.

I keep seeing GH build mass amounts of siege in camps when a small (relatively speaking) breaks out. But so far we’ve had some good fights. People should not be concerned with PPT and just focus on engaging in decent battles against zergs.

Yeah, that must be why you guys were afraid to approach east keep west inner last night even though there were five of us to your many more than five!! I don’t know when you were playing, but I only had one interesting fight with SoS and it was ~5v5 at north gate east keep.

Oh, I guess you could also count the time where we did something like a 3v10 against SoS because I dropped 5 people with a meteor shower. That was pretty cool. Congrats on your hard-earned victory!!

Thanks, I’m rather happy with it. I’m not concerned with your perceptions, or editing suggestions, however. Anyone familiar with my rants should expect a minimum of six paragraphs. It’s party genetic and partly that I don’t bother writing for people who lack the patience or reading comprehension skills to understand me anyway.

I’m not sure what can be considered delusional about not being impressed by SoR. It’s a matter of perspective and opinion, there’s no facts to be deluded about. Unless PPT and coverage should be impressive (even that is an opinion, which many do not share). Personally, I’m impressed by the ability of the guilds I mentioned in my “rant” to call each other for backup. That takes coordination.

We rely on our karma train and PPT players to keep us in T3 so our open field guilds can find good fights. In turn, we help them out by smushing zergs attacking our things. It’s a virtuous circle. Your playing PPT to “win” is like some circle from hell.

You play the game you have, not the game you wish you had. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. This idea that we should somehow not use siege, towers, keeps, etc to our maximum advantage is silly. WvW is a game of capture the castle. If you want a game where the goal is to rack up a body count, go play games where that is objective, like call of duty rather then GW2 WvW. I think by now it should be abundantly clear that is was the dev’s vision of WvW is. More to the point, that’s entirely what its been since day 1 and every add on to WvW has been to encourage the dynamic of capture the castle over racking up a kill streak. I’m not going to cry tears into my beer over the lack of 1 on 1 fights and not getting rewards for wiping zergs. I rather enjoy WvW, and in my mind, winning means having the highest score at the end of the week. How you get there is really not important.

Yeah playing games purely by objectives inside the game is great decision making!! I feel sorry for you if you really care about winning. Hope you can tank your rating super hard in the next few weeks or you’re going to be losing a lot along with us!!

Played a little tonight. Remembered why I hadn’t all week – there is nothing impressive out there. Some group from BP – Borlis Savers guild – actually sat on a wall for ten solid minutes and refused a duel. Other players are downright disappointing.

We don’t teach our people to duel. In fact, exactly the opposite, I tell them to not chase random people at all in WvW. That is not to say we don’t have members that don’t look for these kinds of fights, but as an organized group we prioritize taking and holding towers over random fighting.

What I mean by this, is that the regrouping allows everyone to heal up to full HP via water field blasts and gain almost full stacks of might via empower. You are taking the term too literally anyway, it is more about the heavy defense ball formation with hammers, at 4 I would argue the number of hammers is irrelevant as far as the label goes.

Do you even follow this “meta”? In NA at least? Hammer trains are being beaten every week now, just last night us vs GF, last week AGG vs EP and a few weeks before that. Nobody cares if you think “stacking” is boring, it’s effective and EVERYBODY does some sort of it.

As with any other competitive game, metas will shift and change all the time, so there’s literally no point in complaining about one of them.
