IMO, red circles should appear to show where the nades will land. I just see explosions come out of nowhere and can’t tell if they are friendly or not. If there are already red circles and I just can’t seem to see them (which is possible) then nevermind.

why would he not bring bombs? based on the 30 points in inventions and his shaman amulet id assume he is running elixir infused bombs. If you are using p/p i would bring the flamethrower for the cc it brings, If p/s i would bring elixir gun. If you swap out med kit for turret, i would bring eg for the extra blast finisher

oh. I assumed you wouldn’t be kitting as most bunkers tend to sit in the cap point and force the enemies to eat their bombs. Out of curiosity, what traits are you taking in inventions?

I usually run around the node, to avoid AoE, nevertheless the healing from bombs is negligible. I’m running I, VII, IX

Don’t bring bombs. Just bring Elixir gun and toolkit/flamethrower and elixir R. Use toolkit if you’re looking to stay alive longer, or use flamethrower if you’re trying to get a decap/blind stomp.

yeah I’ve seen that build, while I didn’t want to copy it I definitely used it as a reference, I’ll try ditching bombs and see how it works though.

So I usually roll a 0/0/30/30/10 build with shaman amulet.

Then I’ll run Medkit, Bombs, and Elixir R but I can’t decide on using Tool Kit Flamethrower or Elixir gun.

What do you guys run?

General discussion would be more appropriate for this.

Anywho we’re not too serious but we’re interested in a scrimmage, sometime when the custom arena’s are introduced.

In my eyes, warriors can be amazing, but it takes a very specific spec and a lot of skill, while most other classes can accomplish whatever the warrior is trying to do, without as much coordination and skill, AND do more.

I agree, I like running Protection Injection and Protective Shield.

Does the iceblock interrupt you while stomping/rezzing? That’s what I love about vampirism, you can still rez/stomp in it if you started before it procs. If it interrupts you rezzing/stomping that’s quite the deal breaker.

Also I’ve been toying with using Adrenal Implant on a build for the constant 50% endurance regen time, but I’ve never gotten around to it. What are you’re thoughts on running a 30 pt Tools build? what would you pick up for the 2nd tier?

Just move, it is one of the only non-movable elites in the game.

Basically this. It’s only good in sPvP when you pop it on a node. You either stay to contest the node, or you leave and take damage/immob.

I don’t really understand why they even added it. It may not of taken much time to implement but it was still time wasted.

for kitten sakes! Over 125 wins and I didn’t even get a single pair. meanwhile my teammates have multiple of each armor kind. What the kitten. It was the one piece of gear in the game I’ve actually ever REALLY wanted.

for instance if you’re a engineer, drop a smoke bomb on them then stomp, they’ll miss their interrupt.

please don’t tell me I have to grind tournies for a month to get it like the gloves. I kittening hate how EVERYTHING in pvp is rng. Why? If it wasn’t a limited time item like the gloves I wouldn’t care as much. But I farmed over 100 tourny chests and didn’t get my gloves. I really don’t want this to happen with the Sclerite karka shell too. Why can’t I convert my karka shell to pvp?

huh, that’s the exact build i run, except the sigils. It’s a nice build. I switch in between that and 0/030/30/10 though, as Voz suggests. It’s more tanky, but having a knockback on heal is amazing. Much better than neutralizing points and saving teammates/stopping rezes imo.

It’s stupid. I’ve opened at least 100 reward chests since they came out, and I’ve gotten ONE light pair. While others have gotten 2-3 of each armor kind. What the hell

on saturday when blu and grouch were casting the SOAC tournies, his stream reached 1,000 and guild wars 2 overall reached 1,300 and we were on the twitch front page….

When you have a drawn weapon and swap to the shield, a sword will appear out of nowhere and fly into place on the shield, like in the intro video to the Super Adventure Box. Currently, drawing the shield itself will not activate the “flying sword” animation. Is this a bug? I hope so, and I hope it gets fixed!

So how else do you want it to effect the detonate?

I persoanlly think turrets should have this baseline and always knock back on detonation. but that’s another discussion.

It does? I just tested it on a dummy and when i detonated the turret it didn’t knock it back?

Why doesn’t this trait affect the detonation skills on turrets? That would be awesome.

There hitbox is the exact same as other races, so I believe you don’t need to click on the actual asuran body.

I’m quite sure that they will implement better ways to get glory as the game evolves towards an end-game playstyle.

I’ve personaly stopped watching my bar and every time I get close to ranking up, it is a pleasant surprise rather than “FINALLY”.

My recommendation to everyone is to stop worrying about points and start worrying about the game; this would make the game-play seem much faster and make it much more competitive and entertaining.

I feel ya man, especially since the implementation of the community driven tournies now. My goal is to win those, and get better for those, rather than to get gear and ranks.

87% means you are ranked higher than 87% of the players on the leaderboard. Top 1000 is something like the top 7% or so.

Your rank is determined entirely on win or lose, what you do in match doesn’t matter. You have a hidden MMR (matchmaker rating), which is what the leaderboards are ordered by. The amount you gain or lose from a match depends on your MMR relative to those of your opponents’. Your rating is not based on pure W/L or win percentage, only MMR.

I still don’t see how something with more losses than wins can be higher than me on the leader board? If they lost so much wouldn’t their MMR be crap, meaning their wins would be crap against similar low MMR teams

My rank appears as a % if I’m not high enough to be put on the leaders boards. Currently I’m at 87%, if I get to 100% will I be on the leaderboards? Also, how come there are people in the high 900s (still on the leadearboard, apparently unlike me) with 49 wins, 50 loses, and I’m at 77 wins, 50 loses but not even on the leader board? If it’s somehow off your performance during the match, I’m usually top scoring, and do pretty well. How come I’m not even in the top 1,000, and just at 87%?

oh what. i thought with the ones you got from PvE you COULD use in PvP like normal “skin” items. but if you chose to use ‘em in PvE, there is a super slight chance that you’d get them in chests for PvP. but in fact, the skin is PvE specific? hmm.

i did read in another thread that someone got a few gauntlets from PvP using left over tourney tickets to turn in for chests. out of 8-9 chests that is.

Nope, not PvP convertable, and I kitten I should’ve saved my 40 tourny tickets to spend now, I just spent them last week!!!

nice build but I guess you have to much condition removal possibilities. I would change elixir C against EG. EG gives you a nice condition removal and a light field and healing. With EG #5, #4 you get area retaliation. Anyway, very nice build

Hm, haven’t tried EG yet. I agree I have way to much condi removal with the new healing turret. I switched out Elixir C for Tool kit, mainly due to Spirit watch this week, it’s really nice for pulling back orb runners, with #5, and using #4 while running the orb. Pyrbar is OP too haha. I’ll try out EG though, thanks for the suggestion!

A.NET should “snoop” on the Top 20’s most used characters and get their classes, post their traits and builds on an official A.NET build database so noobs like me and you could use them.

When both of the players are using the most optimized build there is, it will boil down to who uses the build perfectly or flawlessly.

Just a thought though.

This is EXACTLY what arena net DOES NOT want to happen. They want build diversity, it’s healthy for the tPvP and the game in general.

I thought arena net was finally moving away from the RNG with the Guantlet reward from completing the living story. Then I found out that the gloves achieved from the living story could not be transferred to PvP. I was pretty kitten since I spent all day from 0% living story to finishing it, just for the gloves. How come virtually anyone can get the gloves in PvE but it’s still just the lucky few who manage a drop from PvP to recieve the gloves? If they weren’t around for a limited time it would be different. But I’ve been spamming tournies non stop since the patch, and still no gloves, even if I do get a pair, they could be light or heavy and I can’t even use them on my main/only toon I play. What the kitten.

Lots of buildings, stairways, alleys, looks like some good terrain variety and in a city/slums kinda environment, i love it!

That level 43 could’ve screwed things up.
