Hey! We’re a guild of mostly mid-twenties or older that enjoys off-color humor (but never derogatory). We are a medium-sized guild that feels small because we emphasize community. We WvW, PvE, and PvP. While our times are Eastern, most of our players are active in the Pacific prime-time (however, our members play all hours of the day).

We aren’t on Blackgate but we are a good size and we are on our way to unlocking guild treks. Social and community are our biggest focus but we do lots of PvE, WvW, and PvP as well. Our guild website shows a lot about us. We have about 100 active members.

Hello! Let me offer our wonderful guild to you both:

Our guild’s name is Tonic. Our tag is [Lime] because our slogan is “Obey the Lime!” (because who doesn’t enjoy a gin and tonic with lime?!) We are a social, semi-hardcore guild of medium size that enjoys every aspect of the game.

Semi-Hardcore
We’re neither casual nor hardcore, so we fit the style you say you are.

Active and Fun
Let me tell you, yesterday our Mumble had me laughing so hard my stomach hurt. We had about 10-15 people in Mumble just relaxing and being ourselves (while we did WvW or dungeon runs). A little teasing, some jokes, and just over-all enjoying each other’s company.

Medium Size
We have just over 100 members. We try to learn the names of our members and play with everyone we can. We don’t have “elite groups” or cliques. We learn about each other, hang out, and (of course) play together. We hate the word ‘guild’ because we feel we are more of a community or family.

We aren’t on NSP and we are PvX (we do WvW, PvE, and PvP). Our WvW and PvP officers are extremely friendly and helpful. They write and provide guides for PvP-oriented players.

While we are a balanced PvX guild at the moment, we hope to lean more towards PvP in the near future.

Active Guild
We have 110 active members. At least 50 login daily. The guild is small enough that we meet everyone, but large enough that there’s always something going on.

Hey! Tonic [Lime] is on Crystal Desert. We are generally an 18+ guild (the only person younger than 18 I guarantee you won’t guess who it is o_o) that uses TeamSpeak3 for PvP/WvW (it’s a server shared by Crystal Desert) and Mumble for everything else. People are always on Mumble—I don’t need to mandate it, people just come on!

We do lots of PvE—We have people from fractals 1 to fractals 45. We have Google Docs to keep track of everyones story modes needed, Dungeon Master achievement, dungeon tokens wanted, and fractal’s levels. I try to keep things organized

As for WvW, Crystal Desert has had a rocky week facing Kaineng but we have lots of guilds that focus on tactics over zergs. If you want skilled WvW, come here. If you just want to roflstomp with numbers, go elsewhere. (Server community is: http://crystal-desert.com)

This. Congrats to FA. Even though we’ve pretty much lost, it was a good fight, despite everything. Honestly, it was nice to not feel like we were just power housing another week.

It makes a lot of sense if people stick to these kinds of posts:

- Information about tactics used/amused. NOT making fun of the people but the tactics, best to leave the people out really. Unless you lost, then it’s sportsmanlike to point out how their tactics were awesome
- Fun had, dueling, fighting, whatever, regardless of the outcome. NOT focusing on the outcome, not rubbing it in peope’s faces.
- Enjoyable elements of your server, its people, or your opponents even if it’s not a fight/encounter/tactic.

Forums can be enjoyable and informative

Tuesday night, one of [Lime]‘s WvW nights, we had an absolute blast. We joined forces with the (now gone) [RISE] and (staying) [LOM] and were able to save our borderlands and then popped in to EB BL to make sure we didn’t get shut out. It was probably one of the best nights I had experienced in WvW. That’s why all this stuff breaks my heart.
