Yes we need this. In big zerg fights, cannot tell who’s alive and who’s not.
Boon duration! Great for stacking up might but also give longer protection and regen duration. If you are think DPS base then I would recommend 4 x Altruism (only in PvE) + 2 x Monk. Both runes give little bit of healing power so it helps little for support role.
I saw his post a while ago, I don’t think he realizes it is more important to prevent damage than heal damage in this game.
If I’m playing FotM Ascalon map, I rather have a staff ele CCing the mean swordsmen to protect me from getting hit than his healing war healing me.
Or can be used in Mystic Forge to get second chance to get an ascended ring you want.
My idea of hard is like GW1’s UW or FoW which I never was able to beat them. GW2 dungeons are easy. I normally play with PuG team and I succeed 98% of the time. Only dungeon which can get sketchy with PuG is Arah.
To me AC update was welcome change. However after AC update even more people are complaining about difficulty of the dungeons. I really believe ANet should create hard mode or have scaling system like FotM to make dungeons for all people with different skill levels.
To me have fun > more golds. I rather kill, do different paths and dungeons than keep repeating the same thing again and again.
I just assumed they were there to offer us the same flexibility every other class has included in the Weapon Swap mechanic. Warriors can change from Melee to Ranged with the press of a button (e.g. from Greatsword to Rifle). D/D Elementalists can’t. However, we can bring Frost Bow and effectively swap to ranged for a short time at the cost of one Utility Slot.
I’ve always found them best used for a couple of skills, and then dropped immediately.
But take the greatsword, for instance. It’s an elite skill on a long cool down. Seems like using it for a couple of skills and then dropping it would be wasting the slot.
I think conjure weapons should be able to pick up again after drop them like environmental weapons until time or usage expires.
I think they were just renewing the site. It got new look now
You can snowboard or ski in GW2

My suggestions are:
- Your armor and rune should be all the way to support role setup. I like 2 x water + 2 x major water + 2 x monk or 6 x altruism or 6 x dwayna or 4 x altruism + 2 x monk
- Have 2 sets of weapons and trinkets. One set for healing power base gear and other set for dps for soloing.
If I remember correctly, somebody on the forum said that underwater – “aqua_breather” replaces the helmet, so if you don’t have dwayna on the aqua breather… you don’t have the 6 bonus..
oh that’s make sense.
Sup. rune of dwayna’s 6th bonus does not work when used under water. It won’t give regen to myself or allies.
(6): When you use a healing skill, you and all nearby allies gain Regeneration.png regeneration for 5 seconds.
Maybe the wisdom of Guild Wars, Wooden Potatoes can help you.

I put my divinity on 2 berserk + 4 PVT gear, but I believe my other armor set for boon duration is better IMO.
Do you mind sharing with me your armor set for boon duration?
2 x monk + 2 x major water + 2 x sup. water or 4 x altruism + 2 x monk ( or water)
I put my divinity on 2 berserk + 4 PVT gear, but I believe my other armor set for boon duration is better… Runes for boon for whole 6 armor is cheaper than 1 divinity >_<

I tested the difference between attunements and found out following. No matter which attunement, the base damage was the same meaning with my char’s build, it did 300 damage on 1 hit and 650 damage on 1 critical hit on a target. However the differences I found makes me think fire and air pretty much useless. Earth is by far superior and water can be useful if you want to chill them.
Do you think Glyph of Storm needs adjustments or it is fine as a skill as a whole?
Fire:
- 9 sec duration and hits every second
- Hits all targets within AOE
- No condition
Air
- 6 sec duration and hits randomly (On single target, this hits 4~7 times)
- 1~3 targets at a time
- No condition
Water
- 12 sec duration (On single target, this hits 2~5 times)
- 2~3 targets at a time
- Chill
Earth
- 10 sec duration and hits every second
- Hits all targets within AOE
- Bleed & Blind
I personally like to see
Fire: down to 4 sec duration but add burning
Air: add daze or stun
Water: maybe 0.5~1 sec more chill duration

healing is not strong enough even though it can be quite bit. crowd control + combo fields + boons + aura + healing is pretty good imo.
Dwayna is good rune but also altruism can give offensive support. monk/s. water/m. water to get 40% boon duration is another good option
i don’t like the new look
One advantage I found is that it removes conditions every pulse. This is particularity useful in PvP or WvW, because this prevent to get more conditions right after you cure them by other skills such as Cleansing Fire. Cleansing Fire removes 3 but it only 1 time thing, what if you get more conditions right after? ER keep removing for few seconds.
yay it’s fixed!
Game crashes and goes to character selection screen when try to equip armor from directly bank slot by right clicking on an item and “Equip”
Dev said they are aware of this
same here too. i bought healing signet from fotm vendor and i cannot upgrade it in the msytic forge.
yeah me too. now it’s impossible to keep my equipment organized.
I don’t know much about war builds, but with ele, you have:
- healing support (staff w1 is best friend for melee players, or staff w5 with other players who understand combo)
- condition removal
- crowd control (chain them together = how many seconds of free dmg before your party engage?)
- chill is the king. (with help of sigil and runes, you can chill foes permanently = easier for your party to kite and 66% cooldown increase pretty much the same thing as 66% damage decrease)
my main is ele. i guess i better upgrade my gear then
gw2lfg.com supports killing everything as an option. when I don’t want to skip mobs, I look for posts with this option, though there are not too many.
Does anyone already tried FotM lvl40+ with AR35? Can you survive Maw’s agony?

If you have full clerics (or magi) you should be good to go as support. If you have some concern with your vital, mix with magi. I personally believe magi set is better for support from testing I did (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/elementalist/Vital-vs-Toughess-for-healing-gear/first#post825016), but some reason I like cleric better (>_<). IMO if you have 30 on water that should give you enough vital even with full cleric.
I am happy, they decided not to reset.
most of the difference i can tell top of my head is critical damage. with my spec 0/20/0/30/20, i can do 2.5 to 4k damage with berserker. with other jewels, it does 1.5 to 2k damage.
I carry sapphire, PTV, berserker all the time because ele can play different role. Depending on which weapon, strength of party, or playing WvW, I change them. Also you can mix them to substitute other gears.
I don’t know why this skill got nerfed all the way down to useless. People used to complain but not anymore not because we are happy with it, because we pretty much decided to forget there is such skill available. Now that the new patch introduced new rez mechanic in dungeons, this skill can be useful if it get little buff. Personally I would love to see decrease in casting time. Decrease in recharge is nice also. Be able to rez dead like it used to be would be even better but I don’t think that will happen.
I am ok with ANet ignoring server rating and manually selecting match ups from educated guess from data they have, but I am not sure if this is the case. They didn’t explain. If they are simply resetting rating and pretty much randomly matching servers then I completely oppose. Would this meas T1 may end up fighting with T4, T6 servers? I don’t think so.
All the updates from Jan 28 and the article about upcoming phase 2 updates, as well as many suggestions in this forum sound very nice, but I think there is something seriously needs to be done before any of these enhancements.
Lately I noticed it became trend to climb up on some small objects and attack mobs. While players are not too high that they can still hit mobs, but mobs cannot hit you back. Couple of examples, at HotW path 1, the last boss. Mobs after the spider boss in AC.
Maybe when mobs can’t hit you certain times in a row, they should reset and go back to their standby position.
That’s comparing apples to oranges. Remember Mag fought a decimated IoJ who is in last place on T5 instead of CD. Most of the board warriors in threads like this have never seen T1/T2 where a lot of guilds on K have. It is impossible to know exactly how high K will go but to anyone who has spent time in T1/T2 it’s fairly obvious T3 would be a speed bump at best.
You know CD is just as dead as IoJ right? I wish FA would be there to meet kaineng in t3… but it looks like we’ll be having our grudge match with the TC roleplayers.
CD is not that dead. IoJ was quite dead, I know this because I’m in YB and fought IoJ last week and fighting CD this week. Anyway since we also fought DB 2 weeks ago and Mag last week then Kaineng this week, my prediction is Kaineng is stronger than Mag. While Mag and DB is having even match this week, it fair to say Kaineng is stronger than DB as well. I have no idea if Kaineng is stronger than FA? Personally like to see which is stronger FA or K. After all the strongest should move up to T2 anyway. K should still go T3 and prove they are the #1 in T3.

want it too! i don’t know why healing power base ring is missing from current list of ascended rings. i hope they have included healing power base amulet with the coming update.
I made a WvW map to help myself navigate, but decided to share. There are 2 versions. 1 version is name based labels for EB, the other is orientation base labels for EB.
These maps are free for Yak’s Bend players. If you are not YB player then you own me 10 Badges of Honor.
Watch out! Based on what I know from fighting against DB last week (hello I’m with Yak), when Maguuma moves up in your tire I think they will beat you. We are getting our kitten kicked pretty bad right now… (>_<)
Both CD and FA are pretty tough and shouldn’t be underestimated. It’s going to be an interesting match.
You sound like one of us last Friday. Now look at this score… This is as of now. DB never beat us like this. We had good matches with DB, but with Maguuma…

nice closets how did you take Screen Shot?

Ctrl+Shift+H will show/hide interface. Then PftScn key. This should save screenshot in your document\Guild Wars2\Screens folder
care to share your dyejob on each of your set?
Ok, I have added dye too

Noble
- Stats: Carrion x 4 + Rampager x 2
- Runes: Melandru x 6
- Dye: White / Antique Gold /Matte
Attempted to create all-round armor set. Useful when too many conditions to deal such as zerg in WvW. I don’t like shoulder piece so it’s hidden.
(edited by soistheman.7208)
Feathered
- Stats: Magi (Prec/Vit/Heal*) x 6
- Runes: Monk x 2 + Major Water x2 + Sup. Water x 2 (+40% boon duration)
- Dye: Celestial / Ancient Silver / Antique Gold
My current armor for healer/support build. I don’t like shoulder piece so it’s hidden.
(edited by soistheman.7208)
Exalted
- Stats: Giver’s x 6
- Runes: Mercy x 6
- Dye: Celestial / White / Lemon Tint
Another armor I made just for fun. So far I have not found much use for this armor… Maybe if we have Lost Shore like event again, this armor will become useful for trying to rez 100 people.
