since i could only use 1 mounts and they removed the spider, i can’t say.
chase hearts and complete maps, during that do events and LV 80 is fast approaching.
beside, the daily rewards has tomes every 6th day of the week when playing every day with a chest filled with tomes every month.
well, GW2 uses GW1 as a base game and even on 4K the UI is still big enough to read, it seems they downgraded the engine for some reason.
base Thief alone is assassin playstyle already,
lol nope, an assassin is fast and mobile while using combo;s and it’s energy properly, the thief has a lame excuse of an initiative system with a slow attack base and pathetic damage.
Rev is essentially ritualist…. ritualists channel spirits from the mists Revs channel spirits from the mists…..
actually you are wrong on two accounts.
1. the engineer was Anet’s answer for the rit replacement
2. none of them even get close to what the rit is, even the rev is just a really small shadow of what the rit really is.
that’s weird, mine always installs where the EXE is.
ok, what if sPvP now all of a sudden get’s a legendary monster killing ppl, would you love that too?
I wrote this previously:
“Ive seen the link Inculpatus Cedo. Most of the comments seems rather inadequate. Some circle around a childish reasoning and misuse of the forms of appeal by either using pathos, and directing the arguement towards an idea that this game somehow would become more agressive by letting people use duel instead of getting into heart of the mist. Or simply use a very childish comparison, where as 1 breaks the game while the other one adds to the game.”
Edited:
And tbh….In my perspective, saying this really have nothing to add or take from the argument because it makes no sense to me that I wouldn’t be able to duel someone just because it is not in “PvP zone”
But……SPvP do have monsters, that I have in fact died from….mainly in the beginning or as a thief….but still
actually it does, adding PvP in PvE has the same effect as adding PvE in PvP.
we can just turn it all around, have zergs of monsters in PvP with veteran, elite and champion monsters walking around in PvP maps killing any and all players in their path.
what i see is the pathetic childish behavior to force PvP in PvE, there are already 2 modes specifically made for PvP yet there is a need to ruin the only single mode made for PvE with yet another PvP mode.
like others have said, there are plenty of modes allowing you to PvP each other to death, we PvE-only players want nothing to do with it.
seriously, you act as if PvP is the one thing that is fun, if you like PvP so much play games made for PvP but don’t ruin others fun by forcing yours.
ok, what if sPvP now all of a sudden get’s a legendary monster killing ppl, would you love that too?
beyond the FDS there are other rewards that are really worth it.
the widow is really a worthy pet to go for, the fellblade really fits a dark butcher warrior, the shield is perfect for a guardian themed character, etc…
my point is, if you think the 50 bucks isn’t worth all that then i suppose you never buy anything from the gem store ether, it costs allot more to by 1 skin from the store then a whole package you get from all the GW1 games.
2. These weekends are advertised as demo’s, not beta’s. In other words, they’re marketed for users testing out the expansion prior to purchase, not for gaining balancing data.
not advertised as but still used as a beta, they can slap a demo sticker on a pig and call it a warthog but it’s still a pig.
i love the sniper (yes, i call it a sniper), the only issue i have is the high cost without any trait to lower the costs.
they could at least tone down the mold effect, i look like a lighter >_<
PvE open world matters just as much as any PvE content, you don’t want a spec to be completely useless in PvE just because it’s balanced around PvP.
and now the list with one….yes, that’s pretty much the rest.
How? Explain how? Without dps meters community perception is all that would matter. There would be nothing but ele’s and buff kittenes. With DPS meters eles doing 8dps will get kicked because they are bad, while guardians doing 20k dps will be kept around, even tho their class isn’t meta at the current time. This does NOTHING but improve the game.
This does not improve the game, it improves your personal experience. Those are 2 very different things. You make it sound like a dps-meter is essential for raids, but it most certainly is not. Pay more attention to the screen instead of the overlay and you’ll find the less skilled players are easy to spot. This game never needed dps-meters and it certainly doesn’t need them now, definitely not one that shows other people’s dps and gear.
While you’re technically correct, I find dps meters to be tools of great value. Being able to spot problems in dps or buff coverage, or various other uptimes, can help optimize your play and your group. Just because a tool can be used for toxicity doesn’t mean it is only used for it. Nor does it mean they cause it. Toxicity originate in the players, not their tools. Take away one tool, they’ll find another. It’s just that simple.
but the tool does spur the toxicity more then without one, remove the tool and ppl need to experience a player more direct rather then relying on a tool to tell them what to do.
Wrong. People like to evaluate fast. Remove the dps meter and they’ll go back to judging you based on your AP and mastery level. Meaning less actual in-game experience with you. Not to mention it will be a lot less relevant.
DPS is irrelevant, as long as you only DPS you will get wiped quite fast.
all you care about is speed, i care about quality.
i rather play for 2 hours and have fun then to be pressured to play something within 15 minutes and hate it, i think that’s the difference between fun players and elitists.
just in case ppl still think it’s the same as GW1, this is how GW1 does it.
nothing is a mystery except the stats, that’s the biggest problem the GW2 version has, no information. In a sense, the lack of information isn’t really a problem.
Your screen perfectly shows that the thing called “Unidentified gear” in PoF is not your average unidentified gear from any other (MMO)RPG. What we have here is a mere chest, or currency. Nothing much to freak about.
The only thing I reproach them with is I’m supposed to have the choice between salvaging or converting. Yet, I also know some collectibles or skins are locked behind the identification process, so it feels compulsory to identify till it’s all unlocked. After that, I’ll just salvage everything…
you have to pay for every single piece of gear and waste time just to get the ID progress going every single day.
yeah, because having spikes on places where you only hurt yourself really shows functionality…….
That wasn’t my point. Apart from functionality issues, it also looks cheap and sexist to me (like all the bare skin most female armor sets sport, as opposed to their male counterpart).
High heels on each set of clothing and armor for female characters are the foremost reason I didn’t start playing Black Desert (and then there’s the barbie doll faces, too).
But we have gone off-topic.
and the lack of is the reason why i rather use outfits that does have it, GW2 is IMO the #1 game without any interesting armors.
just in case ppl still think it’s the same as GW1, this is how GW1 does it.
nothing is a mystery except the stats, that’s the biggest problem the GW2 version has, no information.
if that becomes a thing it can be quite prone to abuse, you can then reach places you really should not.
Ascalon Pants… the only light armor pants i found so far without dangly bits.
They aren’t pants in the female version, though…
just some things i wanted in GW2 from the start
Bah, heavy armor paired with high heels — awful!
yeah, because having spikes on places where you only hurt yourself really shows functionality…….
Well I just went to go check it out and saw the pricess…..30 bucks each??? Sorry but I honesty don’t see it worth that much……EACH. It’s unfortunate but I won’t buy it.
well, unlike GW2 they are all games that work without the other, there is even a bundle where you have prophecies and eye of the north to get all of tyria opened up.
Game is absolutely still worth picking up. I still play it about as much if not more than GW2. That said I agree with Mazut in the if you’re just after the achievements dont bother. I’m not even sure you could accomplish it in months anymore, it literally might take a year plus of grinding unless you have absolutely nothing else to do but play Guild Wars 10+ hours a day.
Well I want the fiery sword more than the title. Will the sword be easily obtainable?? It’s an end goal, honestly if the end goal wouldn’t effect gw2 then I wouldn’t play it.
it’s quite easy, i did it with just a few titles and my minipet collection (altough, i had quite a few years of time to collect them back then)
i would suggest to take nightfall and eye of the north for a speedy trip to the fiery sword, plenty of titles to do and enough to get you started with everything.
that said, the game seriously the one game to play, i still love it despite the underpopulated places.
NOW you get stacking unidentified gear that I assume stack to 250 and now you have:
1. Option to salvage
2. Option to have discover the gear then salvage.Of course it meets those things but you also forgot if you want to identify your loot you have to pay for it and go out of your way to visit a heart vendor, which is a heart you will have to do each day because they reset, if you want to identify your loot as it exits now. I think this is the major complaint from most people. Who wants to do a boring heart for the 100th day in a row to identify their loot and pay a tax on top of that? Maybe some people but not me. Like stated earlier I’m sure if Anet insists on this there will be an identify-o-matic in the gem store. That doesn’t make this better though.
I think paying for identification is fine. It creates a relatively small gold sink.
when the item in question is worth less then the ID part then it’s a horrible idea, in GW1 the gold paid for it is well worth it because most costs allot more then the ID costs with the added bonus that we can salvage with choice.
Most of the identified items in GW1 where junk, unless you got lucky and got a perfect mod. Most people didn’t even bother identifying “grapes” because it wasn’t worth it. A lot of people sold the golds unidentified because it was more lucrative to do so than to do the identification.
It was a gamble then, and it’s a gamble here. You might get junk, you might get something worth your investment. The majority of the time, it’s going to be junk.
inGW1 all gear was already known, you know if it’s a weapon and what kind, you know it’s gonna be a rune just not the type.
also, in GW1 allot of minor runes still costs allot, the only gamble here is to hope if it’s the more expensive one
in GW2 it’s just 1 single item without a clue what it is, not to mention that GW2 has gear rank so the difference is quite huge in both price and risk.
the thing is, in GW1 you have about 30% success for a higher quality gear, in GW2 the success rate is so depending on luck you have a bigger chance on fine gear worth a few copper then an exotic worth a few gold.
just look up Berlin 1917 and Berlin 2017. Or Hamburg 1925 and Hamburg 1975.
change happens. a lot.
you compare an industrial area with a desert, the changes are drastically different in pace.
berlin has changed because it’s in the middle of the revolution, a desert will stay that way for a few 1000 years and barely change at all.

The only thing I want to see actually is Orr and especially Arah in a fractal mode pre-sinking. Mission would be to protect city against Charr invasion.
they sunk it before charr could even get that far, kinda the problem here :s
you will miss allot of frustration, except for gliding and some elite specs it’s just not worth the money.

Remove the tool and people will kick you because you don’t have 25k+ AP
they already do, ppl think AP ir IL actually matters and a spit on ppl who do.
^That was the background of Character Select, not the launcher, no?
GW1 had no launcher, the only launcher we had was a download screen and that’s it.
gear that needs to be ID’ed must be of great quality otherwise it can just as much drop directly
No no no. The whole point is to spam us less with loot. You can salvage the unID’d gear directly! Don’t drop normal loot instead, that’d remove the whole reason for the thing to exist!
it’s a useless thing to exist as long as we get fine gear drops from it that are worth less then the ID it self, that’s the whole reason why i said that.
let me tell you why this is a horrible idea:
- paying for every single piece of gear
- still getting useless gear regardless
- only in hearts which are resetted every single day (they should not btw)
- nothing compact to carry with us for IDíng stuff
if they really want this 3 things need to happen
- gear that needs to be ID’ed must be of great quality otherwise it can just as much drop directly
- an ID kit like in GW1
- a normal reasonable cost for it (about 2 silver for a 25 ID kit is good enough)

they will wipe, they already said they will.
Wipe between the demo weekends? Like between this weekend and next weekend?
I know the progress will be wiped before the launch of the expansion.
well, your character is locked in elona and PVP isn’t allowed with them, would make sense that they are then completely useless.
did you know Anet can actually know if a DPS meter is on, data usage is higher and the game acts as a control for the program.
detect that and they can monitor this, even ban ppl for using a DPS meter.
they will wipe, they already said they will.
it can be soloed, if it’s actually fun to do is completely different.
IMO they should just stop making gif backgrounds and start showing some beauty.
this is the elonian background of the original guild wars:

Click destop icon the right click delete.
Find folder were you installed game do same right click and delete.
There now gw2 is gone from your system. That should be a last resort. You will leave old registry entries and other data on your computer from the program. You always want to uninstall a program with the proper installation program to limit the amount of clutter that you form in your PC over time. No need to make your PC run slow when it can be avoided.
If the windows uninstaller wont work, you can look for third party uninstallers that will delete the files then scan your computer to remove the stray files. Just be sure to research the program before downloading if you go this rout to make sure you get one that your comfortable with.
even the uninstaller leaves registry data, the only way to be sure is to find the registry in regedit but if you don’t know what to do it can ruin windows.
I personnally don’t understand the point of a public beta test if the elite spec aren’t avaible. I don’t want story spoilers …
This is not a beta test tho. This is just a small demo.
i beg to differ
The screen literally says “DEMO” at the top of it…..
and i literally see a bug in the game that doesn’t exist outside the demo, ergo, a beta test.
The existence of a bug does not make a piece of software a beta test. Otherwise every piece of software ever created would still be considered to be in beta.
look, you can stay that way and be stubborn but no matter how Anet calls it, this is still a beta test.
a demo is the representation of a product, just showing 1/10 of the basics isn’t a demo but a beta.
if it was a demo we could just play with all the elite specs including the new ones, a beta can have things not in it so the next beta they can focus on other parts.
the crystal desert doesn’t just change that drastic in 250 years, mountains and rivers don’t just get there because of a bit of water shift.
Anet doe that with every single thing in GW2, they remove entire mountains because it doesn’t fit in their map design, drastically changing a map beyond reason.
just think, the first thing that already annoyed me is the shift of northern kryta, all of a sudden it’s allot flatter and the ascalon settlement is on a hill. (it’s suppose to be equal to the rest of the area)
I personnally don’t understand the point of a public beta test if the elite spec aren’t avaible. I don’t want story spoilers …

as a reaper necro it’s hella easy but when i tried the hammer/dual sword rev i got downed at least 5 times, it’s more the class then the difficulty.

you have a bigger chance that everything from that character is gone after the demo is over.
what if the shroud is only from one elite spec and the next has none, i would actually love to have both available.
i really don’t see why not, why add a new weapon when you can’t even use it?
my issue isn’t the points of mastery points, it’s how long it takes to actually get a “level” in the first place.
seriously, i can level a character all the way to lvl 50 or higher before i get one single mastery level done, if that’s not excessive then i don’t know anymore.
Until you get a good chunk of the daredevil unlocked, I’d recommend trying to settle on something else you like (sword, dagger, pistol, etc.). Since (as others have said) you can’t use both rifle and staff, you’ll need to have something else for your alternate weapons anyway.
isn’t that exactly the problem here, you can’t use a weapon combo from elite specs while you should.
just imagine if all weapons were like that, it would be a really boring game to play.
IMO, elite specs aren’t worth USING until you’re nearly done unlocking them. Better to use a fully unlocked basic spec.
not true, my reaper isn’t completely unlocked yet i do better then some profs do with full unlocks. (sadly)
uhmm, if you want something to spend your points, wait for PoF and you have plenty to spend.
People align themselves with a spiritual understanding of the gods. The Balthazar we see in the story has diverged from that path.
It’s a similar idea to being able to be a patriot of your country without supporting its government or being a Catholic while fighting a war against a pope’s representatives.
Tyrian gods aren’t omnipotent, omniscient, or infallible the way some western representation of deities are. They are simply beings of relatively extraordinary power compare to the sentient species of the planet.
according to lore, they created tyria and all that is on it.
the book is in the box of GW prophecies.
