Try Obsidian armor instead. With Chaos Gloves. And dye it black.
except for the armor, that’s nose picking easy…..
Plus, Steam is evil.
How so?
you need to load resources that has nothing to do with the game just to play the game, the only reason why i have steam is because some games don’t play without steam.
if i could i would uninstall steam and ban it completely from my computer, i would love to play fallout 4 and skyrim without even needing steam in the first place.
steam is a useless software that gives nothing more then problems and a little bit of convenience, anything steam offers exist outside steam without being forced to use a third party software.
chat exists with both team speak and skype, buying online exists everywhere you look without even needing steam.
better yet, except for having all the games in one list for quick download there is no reason to use steam, the whole program is a blown up waste of computer space.
GW2 should never ever get on steam, it doesn’t benefit anyone at all and all the achievements that exists are already in the game.
exclusive weapons/armor is something different from exclusive skins, skins should be available to everyone no matter the time/skill level.
however, really powerful weapons/armor should be difficult to get, a legendary gear type should be just as difficult to get.it’s really simple, a skin should never be behind a big paywall, RNG or extremely hard achievement, actual gear does.
Eh… this is Guild Wars, where gear is less important than cosmetics. Gear needs to be available to everyone, for the sake of balance and fairness. Skins can be locked away behind paywalls, RNG, achievements, etc. They are what people see, and are what are aimed for.
Frankly the worst sort of exclusive item is the “Time locked” ones – “Be here now, or never get it ever.” I don’t mind RNG that much, because it’s rare, yet still available. But “Lost forever” is the absolute worst thing ever. (I don’t mind the baseball cap, though. That’s a silly souvenir)
if good skins are behind paywalls and achievements all the time then only the rich and plenty of time ppl can get them, ppl with an actual job to pay the bills and not much time to play will never get any of them.
and yes, this is guild wars…..no wait, this is guild wars 2, guild wars has all the armor skins IN the game and available for everybody regardless of time spend.
guild wars 2 has everything good looking behind an unbelievable massive grind, ether that or quite some paywalls to cross.
this is one of the most expansive armors in GW, an armor that is maxed out in every way.
https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Necromancer_Vabbian_armor
yet i could get the whole set, the reason is because i can buy it in a normal and stable way.
this is one of the most expansive armors in GW2, an armor that only reaches rare quality.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Human_cultural_armor
yet, it’s quite a grind to get and still you have nothing really useful.
yes, this is GW2, a GW version done wrong.
exclusive weapons/armor is something different from exclusive skins, skins should be available to everyone no matter the time/skill level.
however, really powerful weapons/armor should be difficult to get, a legendary gear type should be just as difficult to get.
it’s really simple, a skin should never be behind a big paywall, RNG or extremely hard achievement, actual gear does.
adding the crystal desert and elona would at least be a step up, HoT is barely worth calling an expansion, more an addon…..
leather armor is for the most part trench coats, but we are missing something critical.
sunglasses
they could strip all the out of normal reach bonuses, so you get boosted to lvl 80 and get soul bound gear but that’s all.
i bought it from an EU digital key shop that Anet did not link to, i got it for €32,- before it was released.
that’s why i was smiling at ppl who payed the full price for the expansion and i payed a price worthy of an expansion
I kinda see a trend here, about topics that seem justifyable, because they are for the greater good , but are completly unrealstic from a economic point of view.
Why invest in stuff that is high cost in creating and creativity, thus taking workforce from other more pressing matter?
I don’t get it?
Isn’t the state of the game proof enough that they need to get the things implemented sorted out first, before they go after the dozens of fan requests ?
It doesn’t matter how obvious these things might be or how much money or subjective interest they would create.
If it doesn’t fit in the shedule, costs, or anything that is actually needed in the development, then it just won’t happen, no matter how much you pressure.
what, just like they half baken the released the game from the start, just as they used planned content for the HoT release and still end up with bug o tropoplis, just like they add more and more useless features only a small ~5% might use.
yeah, great use of priorities.
i want to craft them as a skin, no more then 250 mastery.
that would be a welcoming change, putting everything behind ether a pay wall, RNG, max crafting or achievements is getting really annoying.
2G for me is quite a bit, i don’t grind at all and luck smiles the other way for me…..
i would actually like to have more of them, you get down scaled anyway so it’s a non-issue anyway.
i don’t care of gem store version have no gear at all with it, making an almost 4 year old character lvl 80 (finally) is a good thing to me.
The higher up the mastery line, the more XP it takes to level. I’m not sure on the exact numbers, but I think it’s somewhere on the lines of a One Point mastery is worth 4 full levels, and it doubles with each progressive mastery in that line.
Main reason is I imagine is to make sure people didn’t just rush through them as quickly as you can rush through levels.
i level 5X faster per 4 levels then even one single mastery level, they are grind fest food, nothing els.
the new LA is to one toned, it is black in every way.
both the GW1 version and the old LA version had character, it feels alive and shows the colonization.
what do we have left, Disney land without attractions, that’s what we have left.
the problem is actually quite simple, the story is to straight forward.
we already know the dragons are the enemy, we already know killing a dragon solves everything.
what we need is a story that evolves in something unexpected, something that makes you want to play through it.
look at GW prophesies, your first goal is to fight the charr, then you follow prince rurik to find help in kryta, a place with it’s own story.
however, you first get to know the problems of the dwarfs and their war against the stone summits, you get to kryta while prince rurik loses his life to save the rest.
in kryta you get to know the white mantle, they act as if they are honerable but you quicly find out they are following a false god.
aaaand i can go on but the point is, you never get bored while playing this story line.
the story never keeps one line, it isn’t obvious or straight forward.
i like diverse stories, something i want to understand, a story where i don’t know the end of and never will unless i actually go and play through the story.
GW1 has a complicated story line, every chapter only gets better and better.
GW2 however is just bland, before i even did one single mission i already know what i have to do to end this story.
what about a hoover board, there are endless possibilities.
a kind of teleport glider:
to explain, you activate this just as you would with the glider (double jump), however, it then activates a target icon that you can place just as ground targets.
you can’t do any tricks like a normal glider and you can only get as far as you could with a normal glider, but you teleport there within a few seconds.
small disadvantages to go allot faster.
if anything BDO has the battle system down a bit better, just as chaotic but it does feel more solid.
That and there’s nothing like reading German in the map chat, and then when you speak English, somebody speaks up and tells you to get lost, because you didn’t speak German. Yeap, happened on another game.
can be fixed by having different chat groups, german/frence/english groups can be made so you can block out the ones you don’t like.
all we need is a yes from Anet…..
wait, there is an expansion, i thought this was a paid update…..
dunno, AFAIK it can be a problem on how long it takes for your browser to startup under heavy load or maybe you have a browser not used with the GW2 client?
if dungeons scale properly you would not need this as much, it would then be possible to do dungeons on your own without needing l33t skillz……
better yet, report the website to Anet, i did the same with gold sellers and they are now offline.
i would also see some fake swords on the back tho, same thing
mostly synth, making a soundtrack with an actual orchestra takes allot of money and time.
prefer a real one tho, it makes things more alive.
you know that trailer Anet made about a living breathing world, you remember the part about events never being the same…..
some living world when everything is the same all the time, some promise with static events that are pretty much forced quests.
it would be the game for the fans, it’s more the game for veteran WoW players and new faces, veteran GW players know this is not what they advertised.
i play solo pretty much all the time and only have about 2 hours tops to play, i think HoT is made with groups in mind and i see this everywhere.
also, HoT is not thinking of casuals or any solo play, it doesn’t even care for you if you have to do everything pretty much on your own.
HoT is a place for ppl who like to group and have plenty of time, maybe not for the highest hardcore players around but for sure not made for casuals like me.
if DPS is all you care about and don’t care about survival, go for glass cannons.
otherwise, take the ones with plenty of DEV with stable yet lower DPS.
skin/flesh glider with bones as support, nice for necro’s.
no frikin way, what i got is HM with annoyance, not an expansion i can love.
everything they showed is made with hardcore players in mind, the small and casual players get pretty much nothing and just a glider is no reason to buy an expansion.
if ppl steamroll everything and only zerg like mad, no wonder ppl get bored quickly.
the content Anet makes is made with plenty to do, if you do everything with only a fraction of the intended time then you get through everything extremely fast, this nothing to do till the next update.
take a step back, take time to do the stuff they add.
i have V-sinc on so it doesn’t go above 60 FPS…….something is seriously wrong if you have an expensive PC but doesn’t go above 50 FPS….
this game is aimed way to much to selfish ppl, ressing takes to much time so you ether die your self or lose rewards.
it should be really simple, as long as you are in the circle of the event or at least taking down one or two enemies it should count, even after death you should be rewarded for what you did do.
ressing should actually increase your reward, something like the more you successfully rez the more chance you have on rares/exotics.
ressing should be encouraged, not discouraged.
is there a way to be a scribe without needing a GH?
old enough to have seen the entire game evolution, young enough to see this as normal
black/red revanant glider.
that’s the hype train for yah, even Anet them self get hyped on gliders and misuse them.
IMO a map is good when you can do a story line walking, if you need to do all kinds of jumps and flights just to get from A to B then something is horribly wrong.
the biggest problem of GW2 is that there is not really anything to do, they don’t do quests so any activity is gone and renown hearts are done within 10 minutes, making an entire area useless to be.
another problem is that DE’s are so repetitive that it pretty much makes WoW generic quests seem fun to do in comparison, not a good sign.
now they do have the PS and LW but beside S1 it’s still all singleplayer based, not bad in particular but when you have to do everything with a tunnel vision type gameplay it removes the whole “open world” feeling.
then you have the battle system, way to chaotic and absolutely not made for controlled battles.
this game is suppose to be an RPG, it’s more likely a fusion of ninety nine nights and an auto pilot, not controlled at all.
and what about character customization, i am not looking at making your character look awesome or the wardrobe choice.
what i am talking about is the skill choice, that weapons have their own skills is good but not being able to have any choice at all, not even being able to shift skills position, is just a horrible design choice.
i used to see GW as an example, a game design to see in more games.
however, GW2 has proved that it’s better to ignore such drastic changes and stay within the what older ideas.
quests are not bad if done right, the battle system can use allot more control, DE’s are bad the way it’s done so things like “pull a string” can be a solution to stop sudden annoyances.
when they are actually legendaries and not shiny weapons you can craft…..
it’s the whole reason why i barely to never use the skin, the light source when it’s in the sheet should be gone.
i see this skin like a lightsaber, you have it lid when you use it but disable it when you stow it away.
ether have it gone when stowed or have an option to do so….
just don’t spoil till 2 months later, is that really so hard to do?
only certain chat channels are open with me so, spoil away but i am not gonna see them.
i will watch the movie tomorrow but have agreed with several facebook groups to not spoil anything at all, even the 501th division asked not to spoil.
Yea, Skimpy armour is great….
yeah, it is.
first one was rush rush, second one was boring even for a solo-only story geek, i see no reason why ppl even want a season 3.
even while i have 4 man in the guild i play solo, simply because ether they quit GW2 or don’t play as much/forgot GW2.
my standpoint is simple, i did literally everything in my guild on my own, had to save influence all on my own and upgrade my guild all on my own.
sufficient to say i did more on my own then most here did in there 20+ guilds for the guild, yet they remove all the upgrades and i have to do everything all over again.
they should at least compensate small guilds in a way, the way it is now is like deleting a character, all the work and time put in it and removed just like that.
also, guild halls should not be a legendary quest, it never was in GW1, why should it be at least 100X more difficult to get an empty hall.
SWToR is IMO better then HoT, it has a really good story, is more centric about that one thing, you are more in between then ether one of the sides and it’s, above all, fun to play trough.
HoT is nothing more then a new area made for hardcore whiners who just want to zerg through it but always complained things are to difficult, even the story is so boring it makes lego batman look like an awesome game……which isn’t really so great….
a Valkyrie armor set/outfit
how bout a little less sexualization of women and more awesome!
more awesome then a valkyrie?……..good luck with that.
also, i would like more sexualization and less tin cans.
unless you already have it because it doesn’t show up when you already own it.
