whatever happens, keep PvE out of it, please.
actually GW1 has the best system for this by far, all you have to do is set it to visible in whatever way.
it can be in combat-only, town-only or just both, you can even hide it entirely per piece.
i do wonder what the designer was thinking, they made such a wonderful system in GW1 and they ruined it in GW2.
so after working on a game for 8 years they never learned from there own successes, they pretty much downgraded GW2 from it’s predecessor.
heh, we kill animals as a daily basis, have underwear that has sexual suggestions for some but saying a curse word ends the world.
it’s really a typical american thing, you can show heads cut clean off with all the blood going everywhere but show one nipple and it’s a menace for humanity.
see it as the snowball agena in GW1, simply a PvP arena with dragon ball skills or something.
“my ears” followed by “what do your ears have to do with it?”
what annoying me when walking around just minding my own bisseness and some NPC walks to me and say things like “HEY YOU” “some farmer almost killed me” and the most annoying one “come over here”
sometimes i wish i could just take a gun and shoot them in between the eyes.
Actually, you have access to (unlimited?) amount of storage space.
Character slots have no limit(iirc someone on forums mentioned having 40+ character slots and I’m myself running 25) and every backmule can provide up to 160 slots of inventory space (yeah, bit expensive to buy those backbag slot upgrades).
Cheap alternative is 100 slots space by using fractal equipment boxes – or 80 slots by using 15 slot bags.
I’ve pretty much all my costumes on Wardrobe character. ^^
so you pay €10,- for some space, that’s quite expensive for a bit of digital space.
i rather have what Astral Projections already said, the GW1 way.
they should be like in GW1, clothing we can use to mask the armor we’re wearing without it influencing the stats.
well, the playlist is broken for some reason, it doesn’t play anything but the normal OST.
i have done this before and it worked perfectly, now a few months later i want some awesome rock tracks for in battle but nop, it’s just not working anymore.
even the main theme doesn’t work, i tried both m3u and wpl but no luck.
EDIT: found out is an issue of win7, winXP keeps everything on the right spot and picks up everything the right way, win7 puts everything on the wrong spot so i had to find where win7 puts the stuff.
i dunno if Anet has any control over where stuff is kept but i really hope they can make it so that win7 can’t say where things go, i always have everything in the map where GW2 is installed but win7 points to it’s oh so stubborn place in the user→documents map…..

paying to change your build should simply not happen, the reason why GW1 is so popular is because you’re flexible in your builds and you have nothing restricting you from changing anything.
no trait books, no paying to reset points and no min level to be effective.
GW2 has become the modern perfect world, pay for everything and never ever say anything about getting something for free.
worst part is that we did pay for the game, it’s like they are addicted to gold sinks that any casual player go’s through hell just to get anywhere.
in GW1 we get things through drops or collectors, i really don’t see why it’s not in GW2 that way. (just no like that sab, a stack for one token is kinda ridicules)
i never use swear words unless it’s to strengten my point, i never use it against anyone tho…
i rather them putting their resources in to making town clothing available for battles, i never use them otherwise.
actually, because of the hardcore player PVE has bit ruined for casuals, it’s ether really hard or time consuming.
improvements in the game engine for one would be a good start, QoL stuff is another thing that needs to be done before adding anything and break half the game.
faster then this, really, how fast is your mouse, 100DPI?
i have a 6K DPI mouse and sometimes i have to set it slower because it turns to fast…..
up till now i get really interesting data, from how popular a profession is to what ppl rather want in the game.
when the survey has reach it’s limit i will post the results in this threat, it’s both good to see what ppl think anonymously and shows Anet what ppl are thinking in one collected list.
i made a small survey in order to see how saticfied ppl still are in certain areas, i tried to stay as neutral as possible.

have fun
IMO armors and weapons you can get in-game doesn’t have to be an unlocked thing since you can still get them in-game, i do think that any skin bought from the gem store should be an unlock.
like the profane armor, it costs 750 gems (when i bought it, wiki is saying 500 gems…) but we can only use it ones.
it should be unlocked, for €8,99 i can buy a costume for GW1 and have it unlocked for the entire account while in GW2 buying it means you pretty much have a really expensive consumable 1X use skin.
i don’t know if someone already realizes but LA has a racing track, i can only assume it’s the first step to how mounts work.
it’s only useful if they made them like GW1 costumes, able to hide and show them over your own armor without replacing the armor skins.
it’s better to see the TP come online without announcement or with an announcement after it’s 5 minutes online, lowers the ETA yelling when they’re late.
i rather have a mount with speed buff, the whole reason why i don’t play GW2 as much as GW1 is because the waypoints discourages me to travel at all.
i really want something that let’s me go anywhere fast enough, it doesn’t have to be instantaneous but just faster then i run.
It sounds like it’s just a second password. I prefer a linked key generator. Usually it’s on your phone, then rather than being a code that you create it is generated for you and and you input it. This also bypasses the hacked email issue because it never goes to your email.
and when, for some reason, the app is off your phone, bye bye access.
you do know that things like that are super annoying, i have this in both scarlet blade and vindictus and it frustrates me to no end.
the biggest problem with this system is that the numbers always randomize after each number and you need the mouse to select the numbers, i am big on securities but when the keyboard is out of the picture it a no go from point one.
i am still angry about the password blacklisting, don’t make it even harder to get in the game fore the ones who do own the account.
you do know that players like me never get a gem that way, the highest i ever got is 2g simply because there is to much gold sink.
i think that this has bin brought up a few times but i still think it needs some good attention.
IMO town clothing should work like costumes like how it’s done in GW1, currently town clothing is useless unless you like costume brawl and that’s bin disgarded as a poor excuse by now.
i just see no reason why town clothing exists if we can’t even use it for our own reasons, they cost almost as much, somethimes even more then armor skins so i would expect them to be useable in battle as well.
in GW1 we even have a bigger advantage, we pay for it ones and it’s unlocked so every single character can get it and wear it everywhere.
in GW2 we pay for it just to be used on one character and one character only, further more it can only be used for costume brawl and that was not even in the game till halloween.
so yeah, i would really like to see town clothing have the same use as GW1 costumes, maybe even more.
I read in another thread that some players actually WANTED tab targeting to pick up mobs behind them- to which I would respectfully reply Why? Those mobs are not attackable until you more-or-less face them, at which point they will be in FRONT of you where tab-targeting should logically pick them up.
I’ll gladly explain why.
While you are in combat, you will often need to reposition yourself, which means turning away from an enemy. Currently the game automatically deselects targets that are off screen, and you can’t select your closest target either. So if you are in a boss fight (like for example the end of the MF dungeon), and you have to move away from the boss, the boss is deselected again! Which is annoying as all hell!
Also, imagine an enemy is directly behind you, and hitting you. You want to select that enemy and attack him. Preferably you’d want to target him while you are turning around. But you can’t do that. And in GW1 you could! Its so much more convenient if you can just select any target that is close to you.
Being aware of a battle situation, means that you don’t have to do a full 360 camera pan in order to know where your enemies are. It is extremely helpful if you can select a target without pointing your camera at them first.
it’s even worse when you play a GS warrior, plenty of times the enemy somehow ends up behind you which also de-selects the enemy.
in a big enough fight de-selecting an enemy is the worst thing that can happen, especially against champions.
Black citadel already has a fighting pit they could use for dueling. I’m not a huge fan of dueling but if so many people want it give them the option somewhere out of the way.
duels in arenas is not something i mind ether, it’s not bothering PvE in the slightest and it keeps duels in check.
i am not against dueling completely, i am against dueling in the open world, it ruins so much that it would be really stupid to add duels in an open world.
what solo dungeon, up until now all the dungeons are team forced…..
forced? plenty of the current dungeons can be run solo
yeah…no
keep in mind that ppl who sell them have $ in their eyes, better have the gold >_<
OMG the price crap again, does no one think outside the box?
the problem is simply that the game has to much good sink, you have to pay for pretty much everything.
need to travel, pay to travel.
killed ones, pay for armor repair.
reached a certain level, pay for a book.
and i can go on and on but the point is, the price this high because ppl overprice items, they overprice items so they can buy gems and have some left to pay the stupid travel cost.
this is why i think GW1 is superior, you never pay to travel, you can get as high as you want and not worry about paying for your power and dying just means you get a bit weaker in the instance you’re in.
i was ones the kind of person that complained it’s so difficult to get gold in GW but it’s getting better and better and you know why, because it doesn’t plague me constantly about paying up for everything i do.
GW1 gives ppl a chance to learn about handling gold, in GW2 it’s a hassle to get gold at all resulting in this ridicules situation.
pour ppl never get gems in time for anything unless they pay real money and the richies make it only worse.
dunno, last time i did AC we were wiped quite fast and all because we needed to take down more then we could handle, dungeons are apperantly made for ppl who love to spam all kinds of AOE attacks but never gives any chance to single target groups.
they want to get rid of the holy trinity, if this go’s on like this we will have a new kind of holy trinity with even more discrimination on builds.
what solo dungeon, up until now all the dungeons are team forced…..
but yeah, i would love to have dungeons i can take my own sweet time with, they could be a mix of normal dungeons and jumping puzzles.
answer riddles corectly, bypass traps and solve a maze would go a long way, it’ll even add some good fun.
duels ruin PvE, plain and simple.
why you ask, it’s suppose to be a world where everyone works together to stop the evil in the world, not to kill your fellow man because (s)he looks weird at you.
further more, duel invites are the top of annoyance, if there is one thing that ruins the true PvE experience then it’s duel invites.
oh and in case you’re wondering, it’s player verses environment, not player verses player.
if you want to play PvP, go to the PvP places but stop ruining PvE for ppl like me who like to enjoy a PvP-less game.
New circles are distracting, would love to see an option to turn them off.
actually thats the point, before there were to many ppl complaining that they keep on missing the hint of a circle so they made them more noticable.
It would be best if Anet would just add first more of the GW1 Armors into GW2 like they did with 3 armors and put them up into the Shop.
After that they should finally replace all those lame recycled armor skins with new armor skins.
i agree 100% on the GW1 armors, they should actually armors we can buy in-game and not in the gem store.
i do think that replacing designs is a bit of an overreaction, adding more low level armors is better then replacing because some ppl do like the boring ones, sometimes for RP reasons.
armor types are cloth, leather and heavy, what you are asking for is more armor designs.
and yes, we really need more, it’s getting boring with all the boring armors and only really expensive ones being remotely special.
i like to have some armor that really looks like it’s in a fantasy world, armor that makes me think “i so want to have that” not “sigh, yet another boring design”

i can only wonder why they keep on making the same stuff….
Please no different symbols. Don’t make mechanics play the game for you please. Learn tells from watching enemies cast movements. Size of red circle is a great indicator already. Please don’t make it easier than it already is…
But. Yes, I’d love an option for old AOE rings. They really annoy the crap out of me >.> Especially when your in a tight spot and the flames are all over the screen. SO annoying and distracting.
it’s not about making things easier, it’s about making things look better.
the current cirles look lame, just a line to indicate where the spell is.
we need some good looking spell cirles, the ones with runes and spell symbols.
like this:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111114065416/tsubasa/images/3/3f/Tsubasa_-_Yukito.png
http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2012/013/b/2/magic_circle___teleport_by_osric90-d4m7nlg.jpg

http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/069/b/7/magic_circle_3d_by_zaiggen-d3bcn0x.jpg
they want to make a dynamic game yet they pay no expense on making the game look dynamic, lame cirles makes the AOE spells/skills look cheap and cheesy while spell circles with all kinds of runes and symbols enriches the game by so much.
they still steal 80 cents, not’s not much but money is money.
if only we could do a more advanced work with this, there are some areas i want certain music but other areas should have different music to fit the mood.
biggest problem is battle music, it barely triggers if at all and there are some battles that need some heavier tracks then regular run-of-the-mill mobs.
the custom playlist lowers the volume for some reason, music i normally have at a certain volume is lower in-game even with music on 100%.
short answer, no.
long answer, HELL NO.
the problem is that allot of ppl are simply idiots, buying everything they want without thinking about the consequences.
then let me dive in and talk about the euro price for a bit, i can be short and strong about it but that might bring up the wrong idea.
first look at this link:
http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=USD&to=EUR&amount=10
in case you don’t realize it, this is the euro price of $10,-, the same price 800 gems is.
this clearly shows that the euro price, even when you include VAT, needs to be lower then it is right now.
IMO a price of €8,- is a good price, just right.
now with that out of the way, let’s compare store prices.
i am going to use 2 F2P games with in-game store to show you how ridiculesly overpriced Anet puts the prices, champions online and perfect world.
that’s right, a horribe freemuim game and a generic game with 20 mill+ players.
now to start ill begin with perfect world or PW for short, in PW we have to pay per costume and and boosts only take an hour, not to mention that some clothing are with an option of ether 30 days or permanent.(ill do the perm ones for comparison)
the costumes take around 250 per piece, looks expensive huh but now let’s look at the price to get points.
1100Z for €9,99, that’s already 300 points more then Anet gives and for the same price.
you don’t have to be a roket scientist to know that PW is cheaper with their items then Anet.
now let’s look at champions on line or CO for short, when you buy costumes you buy the entire set in one go and it’s unlocked and some boosts take 4 hours to get trough.
the zen price is the same so no use to fuzz about that, what is a point to fuzz about is the price for a costume set.
all the costume sets are 420Z, taking in cocideration that they give you 1100 point and not 800, that’s quite cheap.
now let’s look at the price in the BLT, 800GEM for €10,-.
a costume set is around 700-750gems, they don’t unlock and in case of armor/weapon skins they force you to use a different armor in order to infuse the apperance.
what’s worse is that because you need an existing armor to get the skin, the moment you find better armor in terms of stats you need a transmute stone.
single clothing takes 150-250gems, single weapon skins take you 600 points.
to take the weapon skin, that’s €6,- for a skin, ridiculesly overpriced.
so i challence anyone, anyone to say it’s the right price.
everything here are hard facts, the euro to dollar price has never bin done right and the gem price is so ridiculesly high it makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
and when F2P games have lower prices then this game, a game we have to pay for to play, just shows how low the experiance is in marketing.
Latex? No, that is a man-made material made from specials plastics and polymers. Do you see any of that in GW2? Or WoW, Skyrim, Dragon’s Dogma, Dragon Age, pretty much every fantasy game ever made? Nope.
Tight-fitting clothes that match the tightness of latex? Maybe.steel is also a man-made product as is any cotton/linen/whatever material, latex is simply an elastic kind of rubber.
anyway, i would love to have that but i don’t think Anet is gonna agree with it, it simply suggests things not rated under the pegi 13.
this game is rated TEEN
Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.
I think this idea would fit under suggestive themes.
MATURE
Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.I don’t think my idea rises to the level of sexual content.
I personally would have wanted Anet to make this a MATURE rated game. But with the cute stuff still in it.
it actually does adds to the sexual content and i desgin clothing like that, i should know…..
also, the teen is ESRB not pegi, pegi clearly states 13.
like i said i love to see this but you have to understand, it’s about what it suggests and when you talk about latex catsuit the majority will say sexuality.
it’s art to me too really, if it was up to me i would’ve added plenty of latex robes and PVC armor, heck shiny leather would fit perfectly too.
to anyone who uses the excuse “play a single play game”, i have a few pointers that shows how wrong this excuse is.
1.) MMORPG means massive multiplayer online role playing game, nothing tells anyone that you need to group with ppl.
2.) if you have not noticed, there are only a few singleplayer games that have an open world and you have to like them to, not to mention that most of them (not all) take even more money to play and it doesn’t exactly let you play with friends.
3.) the reason why we’re noting playing a different game is because we’re playing guild wars 2, it’s utterly ridicules to shoot someone off just because it’s a solo player.
so if you think a solo player should not play an MMO at all then i ask you this, how does that benefit the player and how do you think this MMO has survived up until now?
it should be something we can ether buy or craft trough a special insignia, i really don’t like it when games make armors drop-exclusive.
there is nothing wrong with sexy but keep in mind that this game is still a T rated game, believe me when i say i love to see shiny catsuits and skimpy leather clothing for females but it just can’t be in a game rated for teens.
yes to personal housing, no to guild hall.
the guild hall is something everyone should have plenty of space in and the HoM is quite small for that, it’s not even build for that reason.
for PH i say yes because it lowers the frustrating running back and forth for something as simple as going to the storage, and since we need to pay to travel i can’t see any other way to redeem that flaw then by making the HoM a nice house for us to customize and upgrade more and more.
IMO if they added the GW1 armors from the start (and i don’t mean 3 of them, all of the armors) then we would have allot more choices, i simply want my necrotic armor back and i am sure more ppl are feeling this way.
