Ive only recently started doing Jormag in the last two weeks. I get a loadstone once about every 5 times I do the event. Although it doesn’t really bother me. I do the dragon events because I enjoy them, not because of the rewards. Most of the major events seem to be about the same with rewards.
IMO the way the game is supposed to be played, good players will have sub 10 scores and the players who don’t know what they are doing and ran around with a pop gun will have high scores. I say sub 10 because you kind need to do some damage to toys at the start of a game and to toxx on occasion to bait her away from defences and you get a few points from that.
As per the screenshot. Upon destroying the Dragon Totem the shaman arrived to create his tornado around the totem, but the next chain in the event did not update and it stayed on “destroy the dragon totem”. There is no Totem there. I have tried AOE spells etc to try to destroy it in case it is invisible. Its been like this for between 36-48 hours. As you will know the chain has a 30 minute cycle.
Agreed. Ive loved all the winterday events. Im kinda sad Im not going to be able to do toypocalypse in the future as the “tower defense” gametype is a nice break from regular gameplay. I jump in every day and play that for a bit now.
Hi guys, I was one of the ones who didn’t get their gift from Tixx. Then it was mailed to me 1-2 days later (today). But it has a PvP toymakers bag in it and I heard there is a PvE one. Problem is I don’t play PvP at all. Is there a way I can resolve this issue?
Nice I think the Griffon is my favorite pet!
Well boons are exceptional. As is AoE damage. Both of which are keys to how I kill them quickly depending on whether Im playing my Warrior, Guardian, Ranger or Necromancer.
I can understand someone having problems if they get the level 69 bug, but if players are having problems outside that bug they really know very little about their characters and the mechanics of the game.
I dont think it has anything to do with being "casual"or “hardcore”. I consider myself a "hardcore"player because I play ~60 hours a week, which fits the definition. But I don’t like dungeons either. But, I admit, I really just don’t like human beings and prefer not to be forced to engage with them when I don’t have to. I work full time and act like a normal human being around my work mates and treat my family with love and respect, but outside that I don’t think I should be forced to interact with a species I would be more than happy to see become extinct.
Hi guys. Im new to MMOs and therefore Guild Wars. Started this game shortly after release and I have 3 level 80 champs now and chasing the major events. I regularly do Tequatyl, Shaterer, Jormag and the Maw. But most of my champs are only around 60% map completion so figure I could be missing something. The champion Marauder in Wayfarer is alright occasionally, but he gives me level 15 junk so the long time it takes to get him down isn’t rewarding enough to do it often. I haven’t finished final mission in the storyline because I can never find enough people around to get there Dungeons are annoying because I run solo etc. and don’t like sitting around waiting for a group for a long time to join! But what other major events should I be looking out for to fill in my time between slaying dragons
I noticed that bit in the quest, it is not breakable. The acheivement isn’t bugged though. There will be a small tree or something that isn’t smashed somewhere
Yeah I have had some really bad lag since wintersday started
Didn’t realise the events were “bugged”. I did notice multiple events happening at the same time but I thought that was intended. It seemed to speed up the process as we were able to get multiple missions done at once.
The people complaining about not being able to acquire content are the same ones who would complain about there not being enough content if they could get it straight away.
As for spending on “gambling” items, I see it as a matter of personal choice. As human being we stake claim to a little patch of land for ourselves. When we are on track to acquiring it we have a bit of fun on things like gambling. The problem with that is it is addictive and people can lose money they otherwise would not have done because of their addiction.
What surprises me more about this game though, is how they not only promote drinking alcohol, but binge drinking. I mean there are literally achievements and missions for it.
I don’t have a problem soloing them. As a warrior I pop doylaks and CC them before they have made a move. Works the same in every level as I do this in all areas from 1-80. What I do have a real issue with atm is that I have to waste my time clearing them after someone popped the present and then run and left “the mob” there in my way. People are cutting corners and quickly taking “the gift” and leaving the dolls as someone elses problem, which is really selfish. There are places where this happens and you spawn in the middle of them too, like the shatterer waypoint and your being attacked by them before you can even see them. Again, I just CC them and if it becomes a problem I back off and pick them off from range. But you should not be able to take any present until “the mob”is killed. Im wasting my time clearing them because someone else isn’t skilled enough to do it or they are exploiting the system through stability and swiping the present and running.
It looks awesome. I fail at it though lol. But Ive actually enjoyed watching other players go at it.
I got a “superior sigil of generosity” from one. It gives “60% chance to transfer a condition to your foe on critical hit (cooldown 30 seconds)”
Did you get it from a Rare Wintersday mystery box, or a wintersday gift?

is not the same as

If it was from a Rare Wintersday mystery box, did you buy the box or find it?
Got mine from a Gift. Guess I should learn to read :p

I just did 6 suicide runs trying to get to the green marker. Then started searching google trying to find if there was an easier way in there. Apparently not and I was not getting in there alone. Wish they had of had a warning on that one. I guess since I only play solo I have no chance of completing my personal story line, unless I get really lucky and stumble upon players doing it. The storyline should cater for players like myself who don’t want to play in a guild
Hi guys, Im new to guild wars. New to MMO tbh. But thought id give this game a go after seeing a review on the game and figured it was time to give MMO’s a go. Anyways, Im a bit unsure about the mainhand/offhand setup. Im currently a level 34 Asara Guardian with a Sword for my mainhand and a shield for my offhand. If I understand correctly, the stat buffs from the shield in my offhand still apply if I am using my mainhand weapon? I ask this because I just realised if I pick up a sceptor to use in my offhand I have a ranged attack if I switch to secondary, which is very useful in some circumstances. I mostly play on my own, although I end up in a group regularly, but in some cases the ranged ability might be too much benefit to not take despite losing some stats with the shield.
