oh lol this is bad. There are what? Two giants in the entire game that we can kill and they want us to kill the same two to tally 1k kills? I tried to solo the one in Diessa Plateau, I suggest you go with a group. He seems to have a health reset bug, which is really annoying on such a high health target.

His guild had a following of ~600. Its dropped to about 400 members now. Some formed new guilds. Either way his leadership was a big loss.
We lost a fair few pugs who went to JQ, although IMO that is a good thing in the long run as it frees up space to potentially bring in another big organized guild.

Thats the word. One day hes on 18 hours a day, suddenly he never logs in and apparently burnt out and turned leadership in guild over to others.
I tried both for mine. Cost me 1.6million, whilst others cleared it with 500k karma. In all honesty, after been karma drained by Mr MF I believe the 10x is better. Although, RNG luck has a massive effect. Different people will have a massively different experience. They are both 30% chance.

When everyone else in WvW sees that scoreboard, does it upset you to know that you have been working hard for those small stat increases, whilst players in PvE are still getting those stat increases and not doing anything to get them?
Ive bought them plenty of times in the past. Now suddenly, its coming up with an error saying approval failed. Ive tried both paypal and CC, both of which now don’t work. I can’t find any issues on my end. I have been trying to buy gems for almost two weeks now so I can start new character slots and buy some stuff from black lion trading company. I have submitted a ticket via support, but from what I am reading it could take up to two weeks before I even get a reply. Is there a quicker way to resolve this so I can continue to pour my hard earned cash into a game I love?
From all the Alpha and Beta tests Ive been involved in, Metrics are by far greater than feedback. Ive been in tests where its become apparent that developers don’t even care about feedback.
In that case, some thoughts. Guilds need to be well established and need to engage all the pugs they can. When things get harder against stacked teams, the pugs will leave and try to find an easy win, whilst you will only be left with your guilds.
Extremely obvious that SoS is intentionally losing now with only 75 ppt. I know they are attempting to drop into 4th or 5th so they can dominate the T2 matchup next week before the reset in hopes of a t1 reset standing.

Not true. There are issues at present. We probably won’t drop to T2, not next week anyways. And if we do we probably will win it, but we aren’t intentionally losing. There are issues that aren’t talked about here in public. I know them, I assume the majority of active SOS WvW players do. Im pretty sure other players from other servers dont, which I think should stay that way.
For those who follow alot of sports, SOS is in a rebuilding phase. Just like seems to happen in every sport. At least all the ones I follow do. You can only win for so long, then you have to field a different line up. The line up is good, but you can’t expect to start winning with a fresh one. It just doesn’t work that way. You need time.
Im quite interested to see what happens. I would not be surprised if they all jumped ship when they start to hit other stacked servers and realise how much work they are actually going to have to put in 24/7 and still have your kitten beat from time to time.
Some reason I had never tried this one until last night. I knew it was harder than the two on the side, but never realised how much -_- I can get the two side ones in ~10 seconds, but keep failing the rear middle one. Should I go left or right? It seems like there is no where to jump over the back wall, only the second wall. Is that right? Any tips to make this run easier are appreciated. I figured it would be a breeze considering how easy the other two are.
As you guys know there were two waypoints added. The southern one in Orr, I went down there to pick up last night. I don’t often go that far South in Orr, but noticed a bunch of Earth and Ice Elementals. Are these new? Seems like they were added for farming. Could be wrong though, maybe I never noticed them.
Corrupted in frostgorge probably. I average 1 an hour when I am specifically farming them. Its kind of boring farming though. I play FotM and regularly get glacial lodestones without actually doing boring monotonous farming.
I like to stick to the largest hills I can. Jump off the hill and pop F1. 0 damage no matter how far you fall. When I am getting chased down we can chain fears, slows and cripples. I know its not like Eles and Thiefs who have stealth and large gap makers. F1 off a hill is always hilarious. Last time I tried to 1v3 defend a supply point but it got taken, they came after me and I jumped off a hill, they followed and I killed all 3 of them.
I have all three leveled, but I cannot win 1v1s with my necro at all. Also, I have never had trouble killing a necro with my ele. Just putting that out there.
Ive never been killed 1v1 vs an Ele or a thief as a Necro and I 1v1 them regularly. Necro is unkillable 1v1. They have so many get out of free jail cards that you can chain use. Problem is it takes them a long time to get kills, which can be bad in WvW because its rarely a 1v1 for long. They run best as a support/tank build.
Necros aren’t for everyone though. If your the kind of guy who gets a hard on from large crit damage, like most people seem to be, then Necro is not for you.
You do know the new rankings aren’t going to be based off the “current score”, but the “New Rating” at the end of this week?
Its only hard in pugs.
Thing is, I have 6 chars at present. To sell a legendary for 2500 gold would essentially mean for me that I could pick up more legendarys quicker as it would give me the coin I need to buy multiple precursors. Precursors are the hardest bit because of the coin you need to get them.
Im presume your from EU. Im from NA. What figures are you basing your rankings off? They are way wrong.
Farming fractals. Also I get occasional drops in WvW.
Sheesh, so I was “unlucky” with the mystic clovers. I guess I at least got the T6 mats.
I can give some, since Im waiting for my trillion gig patch:
1. Its easier to defend a point than it is to take one, so why would you reward more for defending one than taking one. You have NPCs and as a defender you have more reinforcements nearby than an attacker does.
2. Against strong teams your already going to have to get through multiple fears, slows and pulls, why should it be harder to get in?
3. Protecting your siege is smart team play. Its often not done correctly. If it is done correctly it comes down to team play and good coordination. Why remove that?
There you go. My patch is almost done. Maybe not long winded arguments but its all I got!

Not sure what you mean, but just want to point something out. The reset means that if Kain were going Tier 1, they will get there quicker due to not having stats from before they got stacked reducing their average. Them not playing this week would just drag there stats down. I presume Kain are used to easy wins and want to stay as low a tier as possible.
My server has this thing called counter trebbing. Its pretty magical. What we do is build a treb and destroy theirs. No need to take their keep in order to do it. Sit back casually with your ele and talk about how blue the sky is today.
You can’t counter treb garrison from bay.
Either way castle to caste sieges sucks in my opinion.

Screwed? I am not even talking about game balance. I am saying how ridiculous it is to have a castle to castle siege war. Name me one fantasy story that involves castle to castle sieges.
I could probably find one, even if it was obscure, but this is beside the point. Lets play out a scenario. I am a book author of fantasy books and your a publisher. I write this fantasy book and send it to you in an attempt to publish it. You knock it back because it involves an element in the book that has not been in any other fantasy book. It may have been the most enjoyable read ever and sell millions of copies. Enforcing precendent in any fantasy entertainment is completely contradictory to the whole concept of fantasy. Otherwise today, every game we play could be something like homer and the oddysey and every single fantasy aspect has to be precisely the same. Then again, even these ancient fantasy books wouldn’t be around because they didn’t conform with some other previous fantasy.

If you want my opinion, I believe the change segregated the community even more and made it more elitist than it already was. It is great in theory, I see what they were trying to do, but for players like myself I will not want to pug much anymore. FotM can be extremely hard or extremely easy, depending on your team. Before this was smoothed by the fact that the player at least got to X level. Now they could be a level 1 and literally die constantly to the point where it would be quicker and easier not to revive them at all.
After thinking about it, it doesn’t really make much difference. Play as you normally would and let the figures do the work.

There is an easy solution to this problem. Just put JPs in all the borderlands where there is a chest that will produce badges of honor. Then we can all fill the queue and farm badges without actually having to kill anything.

So Ive just about got my clovers. Going by every guide I have seen, it will cost around 500k karma worth of obsidian shards. Mine will come in at 1.6million karma in obsidian shards. Then I realised, maybe this was taking into account that it is only ~30% of the time that the recipe provides clovers and is only including the karma cost for that ~30% and not the 70% of the time you get mats. Is that correct? Or have I been really really unlucky with clovers? Technically it will cost around 500k, but misleading if thats the case.

I imagine this will make pugs pretty bad. I already run into players frequently who have clearly been carried to higher levels than they are ready for. Now they can skip and get carried or make it so rediculously hard that you leave or waste way too much of your time.
Could be a wierd one for SOS. We have had a rough week in Tier 1. May finish in 2nd or probably 3rd and then end up in a mid tier where we would dominate lower pop servers. I don’t see this being reasonable.
So my legendary is right around the corner. Its been a goal I have worked towards for a long time. But I see all these legendarys in the TP for 1800-2500 gold and wondering whether that would be a better option. Do these legendarys actually sell? Are there many players with this much coin who can just buy them outright?

Why? Because we have Oceanic coverage and SOS is considered Oceanics home server. I don’t want fickle bandwagon players in my server. JQ is beating us this week for alot of reasons. Maybe SOS might drop to Tier 2 at some stage. But they will always be one of the most stable and consistent servers in WvW. Other servers can have their rise to the top, fall to the bottom. Ill just sit here in T1/T2 smoking my pipe.
Having this rands and pugs leave for JQ is good for SOS. We free up spots for real players and guilds who actually contribute to the server.
This post is funny…and pretty irrational. JQ has been in T1 since launch, longer than any other server…by alot. We’ve had ups and downs, mass exodus and huge influx, and we’ve remained in Tier 1. The fact of the matter is, our CORE is rock solid. That same core started on JQ and have stuck it out through thick and thin. They’ve weathered adversity time and again; From being outnumbered and getting in the weeds with Guerrilla tactics, to zerging about steamrolling everything and everyone. JQ has weathered the storm. I’d suggest some of you SoSers find a way to adapt to this new incarnation of JQ, rather than whining on and on about how unfair it is. Noone feels sorry for SoS.

BG is really close to bumping SoS down into T2 at the moment. Good show so far. I have a 10gp bet with some friends that you will pull it off.
Youve lost 10gp. This isn’t going to happen. I don’t say this because Im from SOS, you just have to look at the stats. BG will be in Tier2 next week. SOS will drop to either 2nd or 3rd in Tier1. SOR will most likely take 2nd and JQ first. But it will be these 3 servers in Tier 3, it just depends who takes which place in Tier 1 and that is heavily dependent on how SOS goes for the rest of the week.
The cost of my obsidian to build my clovers is going to cost close to 1.5million karma. Be greatful if you only had to spend 600k on karma. RNG can be worse.
SOS has had a fairly solid lead for the past 12 hours. Once Oceanic dropped I noticed alot of the Oceanic guys have stayed up to fight it out. We are still holding a lead although it is obviously not as good as it was, but its looking good for us with less than 6 horus till reset…
Been a pretty cool week. As an SOS player I think people were being a bit lazy because there was no competition. Now with JQ establishing itself as a strong Tier 1 server SOS are going to have to work for their wins. Well done and thanks to JQ for getting up to a competitive level. Ill be playing out tonight through my Oceanic timezone until reset, good luck to all
You only need a small amount of AR unless your intending on doing level 5000 FotM I don’t think people would be interested in putting 5AR on a legendary instead of a sigil.
I received them for every character I had and every future character I made after upgrading.
All nodes are changed on an update and reset on a server reset.
