Those tonic could improve running speed, you get 3 per chest and you cant use them in combat. That way they ight become more interesting to all those wining for a mount win-win!

Exotic Dyes

I am all for see-through dye, makes your character look like its wearing a swimsuit but perhaps you can still see the outline of the armor.

Invisibility dye would make you, not invisible but rather transparant.

Guardian’s Staff also has an ability to boost speed, nr 3 aim in front of you and off you go!

Dont forget: running to packs of mobs is not very advisable in this game. Use waypoints to get around instead. If you do have to go through a crowd of fiends then I advice you not to use a running faster ability but all the other ones to defeat them instead.

…still…no mounts needed imo

ArenaNet did not break away from the "kill 10 rats" quest structure.

You see that so you know when to stop. Imagine an event without counter or such. Not even a medal that pops up because it has to be random, right? How long could you stand there and wait for something to happen?

I think those counters serve well to show people how much more it will be. If you dont want to seem them, you could hide your interface, no?’

Band-aid solution: Broken Skill Quests

I finished all skill quests in the game as of today. Those that were broken (not many and most in Orr) I revisited after they got fixed. Maybe some got broken again but based on my won experience I’d say it all should be working.

My problem with the endgame (WvWvW, Dungeons and Events) and suggestions to it!

Makes me laugh…why don’t you ask some veterans how they did after world war 2 was over?

You said you did an amazing job..isn’t that enough reward in its own? Why do people want to be rewarded for everything they do?

I am not picking on you, its just something that comes back all the time. People demanding harder fights and therefor bigger loot. Easier fights but still a lot of loot…

I love to play this game for the fun of it, I dont like to follow the zerg but head out with some friends and do what you did. We have fun and thats all I can ask for.
The game is about the journey not about the goal.

Adding ability to report powerleveling

I never got the concept of powerlvling either…I also got an offer for it whispered while playing wow. They asked if i wanted them to lvl up my character.

I asked that person why I would buy a game and pay a subscription just so I would pay someone else to play it…. makes no sense… He did never reply to that question…

Suggestion: Bring back Hard Mode.

I like the idea of downscaling even more (made similar sugegstion) but I think that for some professions downscaling more then 4 lvls will be lethal

In lower lvls i do get 74-80 loot sometimes. For example in the Fire elemntal on the loose event in Metrica Provinces.

How about a sort button that when clicked sorts all according to the type of item: armor, weapons, crafting materials, quest items, grey items, … etc

I am lvl 80 now and most of my gear is rare with an exotic here and there. The result of that seems that I have less trouble cleaving enemies on my greatsword then I ever did before.
Whenever I go to a lower lvl zone and get downscaled it seems like it goes all smoother then before. It could be due to my armor, traits or experience in playing the game, maybe all of them or none.

What I would like to have is a harder time killing mobs. Often I get downscaled to the maximum lvl or one above. For example in a lvl 14-15 zone i become 15 or 16.

I think it would be more exiting to have an option to make the game harder by reducing myself by one lvl.

By the way it seems that the common desire is that people expect the game to be hard and like it that way. That seems a good enough reason to make events and such open world activities a tad harder when in groups of 10+.

What do others think of the difficulty?

I dont like LFG tools, they make people join your group by one click. I like it more when people have to communicate and with a LFG-tool that seems to happen less. There is less sense of belonging, it will be more a bunch of strangers rather then a group of people.

Preferably id like to see a world wide LFG channel but one where you have to sign up for by specifing which dungeons and what profession you play. That will be stated in abbreviation in every message you broadcast in that channel. This to avoid worldwide chit chat, or another channel for that.

Its important in mmo’s to get people involved not only with events but also with each other! Communication is the key and I dont think LFG-tool is the solution.

Better-looking UI/layout

Anchors would be nice so we can choose which window pops up where instead of all on top of each other.
Scaling per ui part and not all at once. I like the icons small but then the chat window becomes too small to read

Sometimes I play with hiding my UI. the only time i turn it back on is to see how my health is. Maybe some more visible signs on the HP status might help (red flashes happen with me as soon as i take damage)

Character bound karma recipes need to go.

I think all recipes should be shared across characters but not one character can have all crafting professions. You should have to make alts to lvl up that crafting professions and ‘free up’ those recipes.

Improving the end game

When you quest in a low lvl zone, lets say lvl 1-15 you have items dropping your lvl. Even rare ones if you’r due. It does pay to get back to the lower lvls.

Also due to downscaling I dont see zones as limited to those lvls. Those ‘limits’ serve as a guide for those with these lvl of below.

I expect them to add more content later on but so short after launch its not really needed. If they do add extra zones I hope its not about better gear… that would really spoil it for me :S

Besides the more zones available to lvl up the less grindlike it will feel when you lvl an alt.

If the anti farming code is activated when one kills the same type of mobs over and over in the same location then I don’t see the point of it. If moving to another zone, mob, etc changes it then what prevents bots from doing the same?

I mean someone controls them, right? So now all that person has to do is change location/target more often then before. Same thing over again….
Maybe they get hindered or maybe not…still one person can run several games on several pcs and keep farming up while having some sort of rotation schedule in place that maximizes their results.

In the end I feel affected, I like to participate in events, dungeons and the whole mikmak. But once in a while I like to focus on nothing and just farm while listening to music (Grindmind what I call it). Now I feel like thats being taken away from me. Everyone talks about drop rates reduced after an hour but with me it feels like it happens more often… could be my imagination tho.

I think that a LFG-tool would only make people care less about the group. Easy to get in and easy to replace/be replaced. I know that ninjaing is not possible in this game but apparently there is a way…sort of.

I like to talk to people and get to know them. I have not tried pugs yet in GW2 so I cannot judge about that. Looking forward to it tho

As it is now players have 2×5 +5 skill slots available. Its called weaponswapping

Concerning the creatures…its a big world full of secret places, puzzles and riddles. There is more to be found out there then events, hearts and jumping puzzles

No mounts, they have no functionality due to waypoints. But what would be great is an npc with a carriage that take players from one part to another part in the zone. No instant travelling but at faster then running speed. This could be free or not. Also chance for enemies attacking the vehicle in which case players need to defend in order to continue the journey…. could be fun I think.

But the mounts, like in wow, please no. It will only add to vanity and laziness of people. Before you know it people want more variation in the available models and want them as drops and such. Its not fun :S

I always would like a quick travel destination free of money. I am not sure if its Anet’s wish to use traveling as money sink but that’s what it becomes when you travel a lot back and forward. I read a suggestion somewhere that travelling to all main cities should be free…which I like a lot. This would cut down in the number of loading screens to go through to save on traveling expenses.

I think the system works fine as it is. We all start with the same colors and as we all venture out into the world we obtain all different kind of dyes by either looting, crafting or purchasing. I get ANet when they say they want character bound dyes because it shows a characters progress.

I think we are lucky we can send dyes we find on our main to other ones via the bank or sell them on TP.

I have found many dyes, bought even more via the TP and then found some more colors which I had allready unlocked on my main. I send them to friends or alts, if friends are not online.

But I do like the idea that we can mark some colors as favourite which then become available on all characters. I am not sure if this is possible yet or not….I have to check.

Also I dont get people complaining about not wanting to spend real money/in game cash to buy all those dyes again when all they do is buying extra bag/bankspace to fill those up with dyes… weird.
If Anet ever will decide to make it accountbound I am sure all colors on all characters you have unlocked will become available. However its fine as it is in my humble opinion.

Perhaps they have stated before they will make dyes account bound but everyone is entitled to change opinions. And if people leave the game because of that I wish you good luck out there. I ll be in GW2 having fun with dyeing my clothes

Option to remove 7/7 19/19 etc. from loading screens.
