if you are using an iphone or other apple device, the google authentication app does not like the barcode for some reason.

Nitro, no it does not, I initially turned on authenticator, then decided against it, turned it off but found no option to turn email authentication back on, so I was stuck with turning authenticator back on.

multple threads on this issue, was one in bugs but it got moved to tech support, when it is clearly a bug with the new patch. They are also telling people to turn off authenticator, but there is no option to turn email authentication back on leaving your account with very little security.

um, log file not showing up for me, I have followed the instructions above, thought I found the file but it was 0 bytes when error occured and only has a couple of lines in it after client closed, nothing helpful though. file attached.

Edit: confirmed with second disconnect, simular log to what I attached, 0 bytes till I close client then a small unhelpful log.

Cant do monthly achievement cause I cant stay connected long enough to do much in WvWvW … Any word from a mod/dev?

problem with removing authenticator is that you remove a level of security and you dont get the option to turn email auth back on cause authenticator is a “better” option

I am having same issue with same error code ever since patch, cant stay connected for long periods, get disconnected saying lost connection with server with error code 7:1000:7006:836:101 … I am using the google authentication and had no issue prior to halloweeen patch.

One issue with gems is their price keeps rising, atm they are trading at 75/100, when they hit 84.91/100 within the next week or 2 it will be more expensive to create mystic forge salvage kits than to buy masters salvage kits. I will stop buying gems when they hit this price and suffer the slight inconvenience of having to carry around more salvage kits. What is GW2 doing about the ever increasing price?
