If you are looking for these things, then don’t look in T1.
Hey Fionn, just giving an old friend a bump, too. EG is a solid guild, top knotch in large organized PvE activities, and when they push into WvW, solid activity and a few competent drivers. Definitely look at them, if a large guild suits your style!
For Guardian, these looks like they could be fun and interesting.
However, if you’re going to let Guardian apply Quickness to the party, then I hope you are upping Mesmers’ ability to do reliable damage in PvE. Otherwise you could possibly be edging Mesmers completely out of the speedrun meta. Guardians already do more damage more reliably and have higher uptime on their reflects … not to mention heavy armor and no worries about AOE/cleave killing their phantasms (back to the reliable aspect of damage).
This. But honestly, I think these changes sound awesome. On paper, Tome of Courage sounds great for WvW applications, but it is severely cumbersome and often not even bothered with now. Renewed Focus is the only seriously viable elite for WvW, being that it recharges virtues, hence another Stability usage.
If there were other skills that took the place of Tomes that were actually useful, Guardians may see more build diversity on the battlefield. However, as Sebrent mentioned, be mindful how these changes affect all applications of the skills I’m all game types. Balancing would need to occur on a broader scale.
We are doing well. Rebuilded up on the battlefield after some attrition due to the imbalanced matchups. Our raids vary in size from 12 to 27 now, averaging 15. We have some great friends on NSP, and we love to work together with the groups here.
Very different than T1/2 servers. Less elitist, less hardcore, more friendly. Very much like what we were hoping SoR would become. Still major coverage gaps, however. I wouldn’t change ve8bg here for anything at this point, however.
When you knew us on SoR, we had like 5-10 in the guild. We now have 107 with 9 applicants pending, and currently 66 on NSP. Substantial growth for a Christian guild. We love it!
FIRE was out on the prowl today in WvW. Had a great time working together with MEGA, RISE, and ZoS! Teamwork builds community, and community is what we live for! Looking for some community-minded members. Though we are a Christian guild, anyone that is looking for a family-friendly gaming environment is welcome. Just fill out our application and our officers will spend a couple daus voting on your app! Located at http://christianfire.enjin.com.
I lost track. :-P
If you want OCX fights in a lower tier, join a server that will fight HoD and SBI. So… MAG would be your best bet.
Quick, quick… Everyone on BG bandwagon to the next highest non-full server and pull an HoDB!!!
Maybe we need an SBGI? Or a MaBG?
Outside of roaming…or maybe a pick team / game squad, Rangers have no viable use in WvW because there are other classes that can outperform anything a Ranger can do. WvW is about efficiency and optimized team cohesion. Very few skilled guild groups will run a Ranger, and if so, for a very specific purpose after all other team composition requirements were met.I
I concur with the above. I would recommend seeking a server with some OCX, but not the best OCX. Also, I would recommend also sticking with T3/4, where servers are still establishing their OCX presence. This would really be any Mag/DH/CD/NSP, in my opinion. Any lower, you will find no opposition at all. Any higher, and the servers already have strong OCX in comparison.
Bumping this up for RISE. My guild, FIRE, LOVES to work with RISE on the battlefield. Great group of guys! I definitely recommend them as they are some of the friendliest guilds we have ever worked with!
Great times this week. Saw some great WvW raids, and some new members into the family. Glad to see our community growing! Looking for another strong WvW commander, family-friendly, Christian. Need to balance out the responsibilities of battlefield leadership to prevent burnout. Inquire within!
Hey there, I just posted in a couple other similar threads, because it seems like there is a ton of people like yourself looking to connect on NSP!
I am the guild leader for Chariot of Fire [FIRE], a Christian-based, family-friendly PvX guild that has a strong focus on WvW, homed on NSP. We engage in all game types on a small scale, with large 15-20 player WvW raids three times a week. And, we love to teach and train our members up, too!
If our type of guild is not what you are looking for, NSP has a host of other PvX guilds that are extremely friendly. I personally recommend [MEGA], [RISE], and [Zos]. From my experiences with their members and leaders, I have a lot of respect for these guilds. [MEGA] is a medium sized guild that has members on multiple servers, but a small core on NSP for WvW. I consider them to be the most knoweldgable I have found in dungeons/fractals and sPvP. [RISE] is a small, growing guild that is about as friendly as they come. They are excellent team players on the battlefield with their small group tactics in WvW. Very knowledgable people! And [ZoS] is a very large guild that covers all game types. They have been around for a very long time, and are one of the staple guilds on NSP.
Visit our website at northernshiverpeaks.org. We would love your questions and your poking around for information! I would love to answer any questions you may have as well. Message me any time here or xivor.8754 in-game!
Hey there, Xivor from NSP here. I am the Guild Leader of a Christian-based WvW guild called Chariot of Fire [FIRE], and we are a PvX guild homed on NSP. We do all types of activities, but have our strongest activity push in WvW through three guild raids each week. But, we do have a lot of smaller scale PvE and sPvP activities that keep our 107 members engaged on non-raid days.
If our guild is not your type of guild, NSP hosts a variety of guilds that are very friendly to those of all experience levels. My personal recommendations would be [MEGA], [RISE], and [ZoS]. Hey Grimlock, I am Xivor, the Guild Leader of the Chariot of Fire [FIRE] guild. We are a PvX guild with multiple raids in WvW each week, but also time off to do other PvE and sPvP activities. We are also a family-friendly, Christian-based guild, comprised of 107 friendly, active, family-oriented players. I myself have 3 kids and twins on the way., so I get it! In WvW, we raid with family-friendly 15-20 man raids 3 times a week, and we use one of those raids as a training day to teach newer players the ropes of WvW. We love to teach and help!
If a faith-based guild is not something that you are looking for, I know of many great guilds that I could guide you to. [MEGA] is a very established PvX guild with a higher focus on PvE and sPvP I believe. [RISE] is another PvX guild that does small scale WvW combat (havoc). ZoS is a large PvX guild that I believe covers all game modes. And there are more! I would also check out our website at northernshiverpeaks.org. Create an account, catch up on some threads, and see what stands out to you.
If you have any questions or anything at all, please message me at Xivor.8754 or here on this site. I would love to help you out!
If you would be willing to transfer, I know many on NSP that would LOVE to help you. We have a strong WvW base, and I know some that are very knowledgable in dungeon running. NSP has a strong community of PvX guilds that have a lot of knowledge in WvW, but are very versatile in other gameplay types. Just PM me of you are interested, and I can guide you in the right direction!
I would recommend the [MEGA] guild if you are looking for a guild that caters to players of all levels (new and experienced) and are very friendly and community oriented. I am the Guild Leader of a faith-based Christian guild named Chariot of Fire [FIRE], and we love the [MEGA] guys and would recommend them for what you seem to be looking for.
I must concur with the above about NSP. My guild [FIRE] is not native to NSP, however we have zero regrets in our transfer here last October. We were looking for a strong community that enjoyed competative (but not elitist) WvW, and this is what we found on NSP.
NA is extremely solid, EU is pretty solid, but is run by pugs and pugmanders. We could use a good EU guild or two to really dominate. CD has the stronger EU, and DH has the weakest. DH has the strongest SEA hands down, with NSP being the weakest there. And I would say we all have mediocre OCX at best.
I would be willing to answer any questions you may have. PM Xivor.8754 if you like!
Yeah I think so. Builds our presence in Google searches! :-P Thanks Tar!
SBI I believe has the strongest OCX that is not T1. They are growing, too. HoD also has some decent OCX. Also, a rising server.
FIRE is still out there kicking butt. Friday, 15 FIRE members raided In WvW, and last I get, we hosted a public raid with 20 FIRE in attendance. Tomorrow, we have our weekly guild missions during our weekly guild meeting. Message me for more info on the guild at any time!!!
Bumping for more exposure.
Just for clarity I am on HoD also. We ran last night on CD BL it was dead so we qued for EB. The about 20 of us took around 30 min to get everyone into EBG. Once we all get there it was dead and we just stated running laps for the next hour praying that NSP and CD would come out of their keeps and play with us.
Why would we bother (NSP I mean)? We rarely number more than 20 people at a time on a BL…even that would seem abnormally blob-ish. Since the last tournament, fewer and fewer people are playing. In fact, I don’t think we have had a queue to get into a BL in quite some time.
So, we log in, see the map is entirely red and we are ticking 10 or less, and just go PvE instead.
Until Anet figures out a viable handicap feature, there’s little fun to be had 2 vs 15 like it was this afternoon in our BL – though it was CD outnumbering us there.
NSP queues either EB or home BL every night…
DH just lost a guild to HoDB, too.
Had some good raids this week. Enjoyed working with other guilds on the server to maximize PPT and build the community. Shoutouts to ZoS, MEGA, and RISE as of late!
Thanks for the words, Tar. NSP has been a very awesome breath of fresh air. Even through the painful matchups we have faced from uneven T2/3, to bandwagon servers locked in tier with us as they bleed our GLICKO, NSP has shown an awesome level of resilience. We love it here!
Bumping up this old thread to gain exposure. Since last posted, we have moved from the SoR server to the Northern Shiverpeaks server. We actually moved last October/November. FIRE has grown immensely in recent months, and we now have over 100 members, with over 60 on the Northern Shiverpeaks Server. This past Saturday, we raided in WvW with 27 members, which was our largest turnout yet! Today we have our weekly sPvP Fellowship Night, Wednesday is WvW Training Raid, and Thursday is PvE Fellowship Night. Then, back to the grind in WvW for Friday and Saturday!
FIRE is always looking for new blood. We thrive on building a community-minded fellowship that is Christ-Centered, meaning that we base our standards and our conduct on our Christian faith and the Word of God. We aim to keep a family-friendly gaming environment, while still engaging with others within our server community. And, we have a strong WvW footprint, which keeps us active in our server community, working together with the other guilds on the battlefield.
Message me with any questions!
We are at our 100 member milestone! Come join the fun! Still raiding 3 times a week in WvW with an average of 15 per raid. Also, started up sPVP night on Tuesdays on order to grow in our small scale tactics and 1v1 capabilities. Message me for more info!
Had a couple amazing fights on the battlefield! FIRE fielded 15+ for Friday and Saturday, and we had huge success. Last night, FIRE led the NSP main effort on EB and had some amazing, successful fights against IOJ and DH that left our inventory overflowing with bags. So glad that we could be part of such an amazing community here on NSP. Best community we have found!
Chariot of Fire [FIRE] – NOW RECRUITING NEW WVW AND PVE MEMBERS!!!
Chariot of Fire [FIRE] is a Christ-centered, family-friendly PvX fellowship that is located on the Northern Shiverpeaks server in Guild Wars 2. Originally created in 2007 in the first Guild Wars, the [FIRE] guild has a rich history within the Guild Wars community. Our members share a common goal: to enjoy the game in a God-honoring, family-friendly gaming environment. Our guild is based upon four major tenants that define us:
CHRIST-CENTERED: Our first tenant is Christ-centered gameplay. We intend to honor God in all that we do, whether it be in word or in deed, instilling our faith as we play by being an example to all of Jesus Christ.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY: Our second tenant is a family-friendly gaming environment. We want every person to play in a comfortable environment where they are free of excessive cursing, sexual conversation, trolling, and excessive rudeness.
FELLOWSHIP-ORIENTED: Our third tenant is fellowship. Our focus is to build up each other. We want members that that want to be part of a community that lives past the login screen of the games we play.
COMMUNITY-MINDED: Our fourth tenant is to be community-minded. We want to engage in activities with others on our server, as well as work together as a team with the others on our server, building community and cohesion on the battlefield.
Chariot of Fire [FIRE] is a WvW-centric PvX guild. What does this mean? It means we are not a WvW guild, so we are not considered hardcore and elite. However, we do more WvW than any other single activity within our guild, far more than a casual basis. We have multiple regular scheduled WvW raids, occasional WvW training nights, and many impromptu WvW havoc and pug support WvW activities as well. We regularly train those from within our guild that are PvE players or new-to-WvW so that they can enjoy WvW in a fun, coordinated, family-friendly manner. When not raiding on the battlefield, most of our members still engage in map completion, dungeons and fractals, living story, seasonal content, and many other PvE activities.
We will accept new members from ANY server, but those that wish to participate in our growing WvW sector will need to be on Northern Shiverpeaks or be willing to transfer to NSP from their current server. We are looking specifically for those that wish to participate in a community. We do not need the most skilled WvW players or those with the highest Fractal level. We want players willing to communicate, fellowship, and play together. We prefer players that are balanced in their game activities. 100% rep is not required, but primarily repping us is preferred.

Chariot of Fire [FIRE] is a Christ-centered, family-friendly PvX fellowship that is located on the Northern Shiverpeaks server in Guild Wars 2. Our members share a common goal: to enjoy the game in a God-honoring, family-friendly gaming environment. Our guild is based upon four major tenants that define us:
- GUILD FOCUS -
Christ-Centered
The very essence of our guild is a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our goal to be a Christ-Centered community and we desire to honor God in all that we do. It is our belief that our faith is primary and our gaming is secondary, and we have a strong hope that others we interact with see Christ shining through us.
Family-Friendly
Our goal is for every member to play in a comfortable environment where they are in control of the conduct they absorb. By maintaining a family-friendly environment, our gaming fellowship is safe for gamers of all ages. We have established a Biblically-based Standards of Conduct that aids in maintaining our family-friendly environment.
Fellowship-Oriented
Fellowship is what drives us to play with each other. We are more than an in-game character, but a real person that lives on past the log-in screen. We encourage fully immersing into the social experience that comes with our fellowship, which includes in-game collaboration, website communication, and Teamspeak communication.
Community-Minded
Jesus met with people where they were at, and He built relationships with those people, regardless of stature. We are not an exclusive guild that wishes to hide away. We wish to build relationships with those in the community around us, and use our Godly example of Christ to positively influence them for Jesus. We regularly interact with others in our server community, and we hope to continue to be highly regarded as a friendly and helpful community.
- GUILD ACTIVITIES -
[FIRE] members engage in group activities in all areas of Guild Wars 2. Our guild has a active footprint in WvW and are steadily working to improve our effectiveness on the battlefield. In addition to WvW, we have a healthy level of casual weekly PvE activities that we engage in. Our desire is to have a healthy balance between WvW raiding and PvE activities. We will accept new members from ANY server, but those that wish to participate in our growing WvW sector will need to be on Northern Shiverpeaks or be willing to transfer to NSP from their current server.

Friday night reset! Hope to have some fun on the battlefield!
Solid impromptu raid last night….brought 15 out randomly and papered most enemy towers in EB. FIRE is currently more PPT-oriented now, but hopes to improve in fights as we train our newer members in tactics and builds. Raiding offically 3 days a week, with other occasional impromptu raids. In need of DPS eles and power necros, but FIRE does not recruit based upon profession. We recruit based upon those that wish to be part of and engage in a family-friendly community!
KOGS is dead. They did too much PvE for Johny and he bandwagoned to FA. Who knows how many went over there. I see the occasional KOGS roamer on IoJ now, lol.
Mag is such a nice server. They loaned off all their skill to other servers for a short period of time. So nice to see how considerate they are.
Also, DB is imploding but not all guilds that intend to transfer off have done so…yet. At least according to my buds on DB…
MEAN is a very solid WvW guild on DH. I have had many fun times commanding against them, with a few victories, but more wipes than victories, lol. Ghost Face Killa and Tryden are awesome commanders from my experiences facing them. Good luck to all of you over there from your friends in [FIRE] (NSP, formerly SoR)!
Hey friends! been a long time and miss you guys! Hope you are having a blast in T1! T3/4 isnt so bad…when we arent facing T2 servers, lol. Loving it here.
Good luck everyone!
Did I mention? FIRE has the honor of having several husband-wife, brother-brother, father-son members! In act, I believe we have several married couples in our midst (self included, as my wife is in FIRE, too…and my brother!
FIRE is very deeply rooted in being a comfortable, friendly place. Our standards are based on a faith background, and we are deeply rooted in each other. Many members have stated that they are here with us, not because of our performance on the battlefield or how well we do PvE content, but because of the community we have here.
Looking for more new friends that want an immersive experience!
21 members participated in our Guild Meeting/Guild Missions last night. Outstanding turnout! Outside of WvW, there is plenty of PvE to be had! SW, dungeons, and more. Just talked about having some time for our newer players in starter maps teaching jumping puzzles and mini dungeons on our Thursday PvE Fellowship Night. With FIRE, there is always some fun to be had, and family friendly, too!
Slowly rebuilding our activity after some attrition due to T2/T3 imbalance. Have some outstanding new members transferred down from T1/T2 and looking forward to building more diversity in our raids. Raided on Saturday with 15, looking to increase our numbers to 18-20 each raid! We are balanced between PPT and fights, and our goal is to have fun. We have a healthy combination of jokes and laughter on TS combined with fight coordination and call-outs. Looking for those that desire a family-friendly environment, free from cursing, improper conversation, and raging, Though we are a Christian-based guild, we do not require our members to be born-again Christians. We just require all members to abide by simple standards of conduct that are Biblically based that build our family-friendly gaming environment. WvW skill is not required…we will train! We just ask that you be flexible and willing to learn and adapt! Apply at our website application at: http://christianfire.enjin.com/recruit
Hoping for a big turnout for tonight’s raid! Last Saturday, we raided with 18 FIRE members!
I keep having SoR peeps telling me that I need to come back to SoR. While I think that some on SoR may miss me, I think there will be a lynch mob waiting at my arrival, lol. I have an alt currently on SoR, but I am hesitant to level it. SoR is doing well, and I hope that they rise to T4ish. I want to fight my buds over on SoR if they get faced against NSP. :-) Smitty/Jordyee/Hella, I would love to command against you!
Some good fun and fellowship in the past few days. Did some awesome SW runs and saw some good exotic drops. Had a PvE Fellowship Night last night that saw some dungeon runs and other open world PvE content. We followed with an impromptu, unscheduled small WvW raid to help defend our BL. FIRE is always trying to do things together. Tonight and tomorrow, we hope to have an outstanding turnout for WvW. Hope we get a balanced T3/4 matchup!
BTW, thanks for the shout outs, guys. I miss you, XTD! Things are not bad. I reflected on some guild struggles in my previous post. We are overcoming them! T2/3 is a killer, but it won’t stop us. We handled the fall of SoR…three times, lol. We can handle this!
We are currently rebuilding our WvW section. Since Christmas, we have lost a few major WvW players to higher tiered servers after being stuck in a lopsided T2/T3 matchup for months straight. We also have had a fairly decent number of WvW-centric players get blasted with life issues and are currently taking a break for a bit.
But, we had a good, solid 18 FIRE members raiding last night. We did some BL defense in NSP BL, and then put some pressure into DH BL, locking down the southeastern corner for the rest of the night, including Hills. Even in lopsided matchups like we have been having, FIRE pushes on and strives to have fun even when the going gets tough.
We train our own, so those new to WvW are welcome here. Our guild is perfect for someone that falls into the following categories:
“I am a Christian, and I want a family friendly guild to do some PvE without cursing and lewd conversation. I might even dabble in WvW in a friendly group once in a while.”
“I am a Christian, and I value clean, family-friendly conversation. I love WvW and would love a clean, coordinated guild that focuses on fellowship over elitism. I also do some PvE on occasion.”
“I used to be scared to WvW because I was not good enough. I would love to learn the ropes. I do a ton of SW, though! I am not a Christian, but I am willing to hold the standards of conversation set by the guild!”
If you are anything similar to the above, then we would be the perfect guild for you. No elitism. Friendly, God-honoring, focused on the player over the skill.
And though I post a lot about WvW, this is NOT all we do. We are a balanced PvE guild. We have people running SW, dungeons, sPvP and many other activities on a daily basis!
Thanks for the kind words, Trista. We love running WvW events with you guys! Good luck in your recruitment efforts as well!
Have fun and good luck, HoD. When you spend 3 months of matchups against T2 servers, lets see how long your bandwagoners last.
Welcome to the new members we gained in the past week! We hope your stay with us is an enjoyable one!
We are looking to bolster our group PvE content activity. We have been talking about running guild SW raids, and bolstering up a Fractal night with multiple groups of varying levels possibly.
As well, we wish to re-build some of our WvW activity to bring us back up to a 15-20 person guild raid for our major guild raids. RL has caused some of our activity to lessen, so new blood would be a nice addition! New to WvW? No problem. All we want is a family-friendly demeanor, a willingness to learn, and the ability to get on TS and remain social with us as we teach and raid!
Gained a few new members, some NSP members, some on other servers. Had a few good raids in WvW, and really enjoying the T4 matchup this week with IoJ and DH! Also, had a nice lil mentorship activity where we brought some new members around to the various world bosses and introduced new PvE activities to them.
All types of game-play accepted! We do tend to have more organized WvW events than other activities, but there are plenty of impromptu group activities going on as well! Christ-Centered, Family-Friendly, Community-Minded.
