FIRE ran EBG last night with a new strategy. 3 teams, 3 commanders, with a scout commander calling the shots from the keep. Wd successfully WP’d EBG Keep and SMC and T3’d our entire corner while also working with VEX and MEGA guilds to cap red and blue keeps, consistantly ticking over 450 last night. Numbers were not in our favor, as EG did not run in EB last night as typically done, but with some strong coordination and scouting, we had an EXCELLENT run! Great having VEX and MEGA guilds working with us in holding down EBG last night for reset! Teamwork goes a long way!
Wow, GoM passed us overnight. Not enough that we can’t still take them. Need 100% all hands on deck!!!

Welcome back, XTD. I hope we can see some AGNY presence this tournament out on the battlefield! Have your guys visit the SoR TS for our reset meeting on Friday! We’d love to see you guys out in force once again!
Very true. But a tighter knit community will be able to thrive. This is why SoR focused more on building up from within rather than building up from transfers. We could have easily threw a ton of gold at other guilds to come here. And yes, we recruit. But, our primary focus is bringing in up our casuals, PvX guilds and new players. By establishing a firm cornerstone of key guilds I’m WvW, we have given a certain level of stability for the newcomers. And, our performance has steadily improved.
SoR does not want to return to T1. With the increased rank and position comes a certain level of elitism that inadvertently caused, which alienates PvXers, casuals, and new players. This happened once before, and the elitist community alienated many others with their bad attitudes and horrible community-building nature. A split was caused, resulting in a fractured community.
Ideally, I think SoR will find its sweet spot around T4ish. Good fights, decent coverage, good PPT basis, room for competitiveness but also a strong community… Without constant queues. We want WvW to be something everyone enjoys… Without it becoming a job for anyone.
I am sure RA would love to see some new commanders rising up! Peanut does a great job on the battlefield, but I am sure he gets tired out, too. Good to see RA getting more organized and higher performing on the battlefield. Has fun with them in recent weeks out in EBG working with our guild group together!
Pulled solid EBG defense and offense last night. Nice ninja SMC swipe. FIRE performed well with light numbers. Proud of our team!
SoR has a chance to do well this tournament. Currently ticking #1 for this matchup, but it can still go either way. Good job to all that pushed hard this week! Every SoR member in our community deserves a call out!
It is pretty amazing how fun T6 is. I never would have expected the round-the-clock battlefield like we have in T6. Sure, it is a little slower at night than NA Prime, but still enough fights nonetheless. I enjoy running late night when I get the opportunity! We have a good night crew!
Best time I have ever had in WvW. This matchup is 10x better than all T1 matches I have ever been in. I hope those gold diggers don’t come to SoR, honestly. I’d rather take 2nd without toxicity entering into our community.

Sorry to bump up a very old thread, but I think it is safe to say that the rebuilding that SoR has been doing since our fall. I mean, let’s think about it…EVERY SINGLE WvW GUILD that SoR had left the server. 2 of them tried to stick it out, b ut eventually left after the majority of the originals jumped ship. This left us with a fractured WvW playerbase…but honestly, a much more stable and friendly community in WvW.
Now, we have a selection of WvW guilds. And we have a selection of very dedicated PvX guilds that definitely pull their weight. We have an established War Council leadership team, and are in the process of developing a Scout Team to cover major prime times on our BL and in our corner of EB for scouting, defending, and sieging. SoR has made vast improvements in the past couple months as we worked to build up our guilds from within, and also improve our tactics in-game.
I am sorry that your guild was gone. GC was made before the mass exodus, but they eventually bandwagoned to TC with many of the other guilds. That being said, the SoR of now is MUCH BETTER OFF than it was before when it was in T1. Guilds work together, we focus on teaching/coaching/training, and people are much more friendly. Anyone that desires to have a role in WvW here has the opportunity and is never shunned away. But, we will work with them to teach them what is right in WvW, and help them get there.

We do have some pretty epic fights going on. I still say that a solid fight-oriented, EBG-oriented guild would balance us out. And some additional SEA coverage, from maybe a 10-15 player SEA guild.

You sure can, but you cannot participate in WvW on the server. Right now, our guild is 110% committed to WvW for this tournament, so there is very little PvE going on, at least in an organized fashion. After the tournament, we will balance out a lot more.

FIRE is pushing on strong in WvW this tournament. 5 days of raiding, 4+ hours each day. We have started developing a server scout team, with dedicated personnel assigned BL and EBG scout duties in order to maintain the battlefield awareness for the commanders on the field. Thus far, I feel that our role has helped the server in a big way, but I look forward to seeing us make an even larger positive influence into this community! Thanks to all FIRE members that have given their time and dedication!

Thus far, a very competative round. Focusing on better scouting, better defense, and more coordination amongst guilds and commanders. Glad to see that we are contending for #1 in Bronze League! Don’t know if we will obtain it, but through hard work and perseverance, we have a strong chance! And, our community here is definitely one to consider!

Your server can pull together. Everyone said SoR was nothing, but I think it is safe to say that we are steadily improving, rebuilding, and growing. Recruited a couple guilds, but we actually lost more numbers than we gained in the past 6 months or so of our reorganizing. We did a LOT of building up from within our ranks, through PvE/PvX guilds, new player training, and more. I believe FC can overcome their struggles. The answer is not necessarily an HoD/DR-esque bandwagon. Bolster your interior first. Supplement what you have SLOWLY with newer guilds speckling into the community. If your community is strong enough on its own, a new guild here and there will become fine additions. If it is weak, then no one will want to come, unless it is a huge bandwagon for gold.

Worked with Peanut today in EBG; had a great time splitting off for separate captures, but coming together as needed for SMC caps and defense. Definitely check this guild out, too.
Was great to have VEX running with us tonight. They run a solid core group that is welcomed in any group on our server! We in FIRE welcome them any time! If you are looking at SoR and are into coordinated WvW, VEX is the guild for you!
Chariot of Fire [FIRE] will be a primary push into EBG for 5 days a week, but we need another guild or two that can run EBG during EU and into NA, as well as work with us and cover on our two off days. I am from SoR, and when we were running against NSP, they had some solid guilds that were doing coordinated GvG. Maybe look at OS? Don’t let the lower tier make you think they were not skilled; NSP was known for having a higher level for NA prime (OS being one of the primary fight guilds)..but with poor coverage elsewhere. I’d give them a look.
Still building up for the tournament. FIRE will train new players or PvE players that wish to get involved in WvW on a competative, yet fun and friendly level. We have a strong-Christ-centered foundation, and hope to maintain a strong footprint in the SoR community!

Thank you for the good words. Our numbers are lighter than we would like, but I feel that our community is a strong point of ours. Those remaining here have a certain level of resiliency, and have really stepped up to the plate. Now, SoR has dedicated WvW guilds once again, except these guilds are focused on working together, building up our community, and training/coaching new players/PvE players (instead of shunning them as previous guilds did). Most of our recent growth has come from recruiting within the server, rather than buying guilds. Not bad when you have very little as a starting point.
