Quitting a class down to cosmetic and not sticking around to atleast see whats going on is just outright lame it could be completely different to what ur assuming it’ll be, its ridiculous to quit a class ur apprantly “love” over a Weapon u’ve never had.

I said that the knee-jerk reaction of “They gave ele a warhorn, so I’m not playing ele anymore” is childish. You know nothing about how the elite spec is going to work, and instead of waiting to find out how it’s going to work (and whether or not you’d have to deign to touch a filthy warhorn), you’re just tossing the out the baby with the bathwater.

That still amounts to you trying to tell me how I am to react, which is not your place. If people don’t want to wait for the full reveal to start being annoyed, this is their prerogative.
I dislike this. I have disliked this since the first time it was hinted at. It remains to be seen if the full reveal can change that. Simple as that. Get over it and let people react however they please.

he isnt telling u how u should react, hes pointing out how a Mature Rational Adult would react, that is completely different, the fact is you have never had the sword, or any knowledge to what abilities the sword would be given, you have no idea if Sword would be better then Staff or Dagger and u have no concept of what they would and would not design for the weapon, for all you know Sword could have been a 1200 Ranged Healing Support weapon Via Channeling Electric into his allys to gain fury and Quickness.

you are just taking a current concept of the sword and Putting it on Ele and thinking AWESOME.

the warhorns happening and it could be in multiple aspects awesome but due to how it consmetically looks people put it down.

You do realize You stating that “that is the mature way to act” is essentially telling them how they should act (implying they should act mature about it).

You also realize that this is a game for many people who are invested in many different ways, and thus should be able to express themselves however they like as long as its not causing physical or mental harm to anyone. Take a certain Youtuber which follows Gw2, cries at her review videos or something, is that “mature” who cares.

Anyway back onto topic, Warhorn – Terrible for ele would have been sooooooo much cooler if it was a SWORD – think Last air bender moves!. but warhorn…. what can they do that will even make this viable or cool (i mean the skins for the weapon already are urine poor).

Well looking forwards to seeing what skills it will have… not with excitement thats for sure. Ele’s sure got a slap in the face with the Warhorn. I wish no other class gets tainted with this weapon until it gets a major overhaul in skins and effects.

Defensive Mechanics for Stronghold Mode?

This is just an opinion of mine, but with the new heroes/mist warriors and their new skills, why not go the extra step and make it so that you can select which “Lane” to position them in??

What I mean by this is that you can make the heroes have 2 sets of skills depending if they are set on attack or defense?

For the Defensive heroes they can be made to defend the gates and advance no further (can even make the heroes disappear if the gate reaches 0%, adds an element of timing and tactics to the play?) – So essentially have the defensive hero go to 3 locations (Gate 1 and 2, and lastly defend the Lord. This way you could use the hero to help you make a last stand at your Lord and if lucky even make a comeback.

As of right now I remember the Beta strongsholds mostly just Rush the door – rush the lord, and considering the updates for PVP lately being primarily boost damage in everything and the T2K being so low in Gw2 in general (the time to kill is soooo fast – of course you can mitigate that if playing well but yea…)

I just think this will allow a losing team to be able to may be pull a comeback if there were some mechanics in place to support some defensive play like in Hots(heroes of the storm) as well as adding more depth and play into the stronghold mode.

To some extent, yes, HoT is focused more on PvE. Of course the Revenant and elite specializations can be used in PvP and WvW and those are HoT-only. In addition various guild features which are related to PvP and WvW are HoT-only.

kitten – Hopefully the balance is there. otherwise Non HoT owners might get the worse end the experience, I mean i’ve seen WvW population drop drastically since it came out. (mostly due to boredom tbh, same old zerg blob stuff – good to know that if the new map can be played by non HoT owners, added bonus all around)

Im sure this has been answered somewhere (but after looking through 50+ pages of posts I came back empty handed.

My question is – If one member of a guild or friend gets the Expansion, he/she gets to play with all the new features like the wvw map.

Say I did not purchase the expansion, and my friend did. I would assume that we would not be playing on the same WvW map right?

Example – him new map, me old map etc?

Concern is split community in guilds with those who have purchased the expansion and those who have not.

PS. if this was addressed previously please point me in the right location ^^^ thanks <3

To be honest this post and OP is pointless – Game needs Gold sinks otherwise the in-game economy would fail.

Even if you was not sure what the NPC does or does not – you don’t instantly throw 100g – 1000 ectos (common sense)

You chose to do something – going in blind – and got punished for it – seems a lot more like player intelligence is the problem here.

That said if players read the descriptions more (I believe the item does actually tell you its random returns) it should indicate RNG – Even my gf who went to check what the vendor did noticed it straight away and was like its gambling….

Reading the arguments the OP makes is just funny,

Exactly what gambling is (if you cant afford losing dont gamble, Clearly you understand or even understood it was gambling as you was thinking you might make it back in the next one – showing you NOTICED you made a LOSS to start with….)

Just admit that you’re salty you made a loss and wanted to vent about it and thus the creation of this post…
And no i don’t think they need to have BIG WARNING signs to tell people that you may lose money by using this NPC – Immersion (no merchant will advertise that) – ANet did say they wanted to build an immersive world – I think as it is, its totally fine – also I rather like them not treating me like an idiot who cant read the description of items.

Wow really you want 10v10?? that would just be a giant mess.

1st off – Moba’s – 5v5 – 3 lanes – Doing fine
Gw2 – 2 lanes…. also attack and defence lanes have been split up for you.

5v5 is fine – you’re meant to be challenged and not be able to get to every hero or have someone sit on the treb all day.

That said it is possible to get every hero but if the other team is decent then its challenging.

I believe someone rightly stated before if you wanted to zerg with 10v10 go to wvw. (the only 10v10 rooms which are in Pvp are Daily rooms for a reason).

I think the scoring is still based off the normal PvP (i.e kill player + stop = 15 points) I think something needs to be done to the scoring on Stronghold.

Maybe something like 100 points per gate? – that way its meaningful to defend against it and push it at the same time?.

As it is, right now its whoever can zerg fastest with the first 5 bombs, or zerg around which normally wins. Defense is lacking in every game i’ve been on.

- side note : at least in Moba’s the npc’s are on the same lane so you are forced to defend and attack.

I saw a mesmer do it. It is possible – but that was because no one thinks much about defending and left him/her alone to do it.

I think the Lord needs to be slightly faster. Hes so sluggish that kiting him is way too easy. I mean a Quaggan puts up a better fight.

Currently Stronghold is So So – only because new plays do not know how to play the mode. Early days, honestly 1 day beta seems a little too short to find problems.

Head On Collision With Targeted Players

Recently noticed that when targeting a player in PVP, and running straight at them, there seems to be some sort of collision involved which causes the running player to just stop and stand in-front of the targeted player.

Question the first : Is this a recent addition/change with a patch?

Question the second : I’ve only noticed this happening with a targeted player/npc in PVP. Is this a bug?

P.s – sorry if this was already covered. I did not find a post on this matter.

All pretty heavily stacked against our team apparently.

Like most players currently in PvP matches, I’m just trying to clear a few PvP dailies, so that I don’t have to do the more annoying PvE options from the limited set available. I don’t want to be in PvP any more than any of you do, but we’re all in this together until Anet fixes the daily system, right? So I thought it would be better for everyone if we could work out a system of etiquette so that we could all get along in the meantime.

After reading the OP – and the OP’s subsequent posts, it sounds like a simple case of laziness and just wants Anet to throw achievement points at him/her daily….. To my knowledge you’re meant to work to get your dailies or at lease complete them while playing the game (yes there are some that are just weird and make you go out of your way to complete them for PVE – like vistas which you have already got from 100% Mc -

but if you go to PVP and complain there’s no Etiquette…. i’m lost for words. You throwing ranked/unranked matches (match fixing tut tut) for people who are actually trying to play and learn (and get their daily by playing the game like normal people) is rather BM tbh.

FYI – the worlds a pretty -insert bad word- place, nothing gets spoon fed to you.

Daily PvP Capture: If someone gets to a capture point first, let them have it. There are other points on the map, no point fighting over them. Ideally each team would move en mass to the nearest point and cap it right off the bat, but some maps put both sides nearest a central point to start which leads to unnecessary conflict.

Daily PvP Defender: If someone is standing on a capture point, that means he wants to defend it. Engage in combat for a few seconds, but then leave. Come back later once he’s moved off of it.

I think if we can hold to these fairly simple concepts then we can all get our dailies and get back to playing the game as quickly as possible.

Lol this is just stupid – its called player vs player for a reason – you’re MEANT to fight. If the mode was called “carebears loving dailies” or something, by all means do whatever you want. This is like going to a football/soccer (w/e you call it) match and asking them not to score because you placed a bet for the match to be 0:0 …. just man the -insert bad word- up and do it properly.

Only comment I would say about the PVP dailies is – I believe that the ones which ask you to play a certain class is just, poor foresight, luckily for me I have all 8 classes and play them to a reasonable standard but for achievement farmers they might not have a certain class and I can see this being a problem.

TLDR : OP is just dumb, Work for your -Insert bad word-

Basically i’ve searched Google and Gw2 forums using the search feature, and nothings come up.

Which lead me to making this post on the following guild error code.
code=49:1004:8001:1976:101

I get this when trying to delete a guild rank which has been assigned to nobody in the guild, I have the guild authority to delete this but keep getting the error code above. Anyone have any ideas as to how this can be resolved?

Tried deleting this on multiple characters and even asked other leaders but the same happens and the rank wont go away… at a lost.

Any Help would be much appreciated, ofc this isnt a major issue as its just a rank in the guild but its still rather annoying.

P.s sorry if this was posted in the wrong place, was not too sure where to post it, it felt like a bug to me.

After farming foxfires for the back piece for the past two days or so my friends account has also been banned permanently and is unable to seek help with this issue.

Plus, the only thing that acknowledging and raging about this does is giving the perpetrators a good laugh which is exactly what they’re after.

That is true, why give acknowledgement to those who attack your game.
Something will obviously be done, considering the scale of the attacks are so large.

I know, and I’ve been one of ANet’s most vocal defenders on here when it comes to bugs and accidents and the living story concept what not. Working in IT support, I know how much can go wrong under a tight schedule.

And yet, I cannot understand at all how this one slipped through QA.

I have looked for a suggestion about the orbs before making this and did not find it, therefore I have decided to make this as a suggestion since I read that there is a possibility that the orbs or power might return to wvw (hopefully changed).

So I have been thinking would it not be better to have the orbs of power give you the bonuses that “outmanned/outnumbered” does instead of the stacking of health and increase damage etc (cant remember exactly what it was) seems silly that when our outnumbered you only get magic find boost, experience boost, karma boost… Yay… So very pointless when it’s so difficult to achieve much (t1-2, fighting big blobs of jade q and black g)

Just think its wiser to have the orbs give you different bonuses and have the outnumbered give you actual buffs to help you fight.
Ty – what’s everyone else’s opinion on this?

Read the future of wvw post by Devon, not much on the orb thing there, just saying. This, if not dont correctly could give the big blobs you fight a massive advantage.

Before it gave you 15% more hp and that’s just for starters, imagine the big blob now even harder to kill? Sounds fun right?.

1 month+ at tier 1 – fighting against door and sometimes against the vis is getting very boring something needs to be done…. otherwise more and more people will drop out of WvW
