I agree with this. It looked wonky, but I could see that the animators did their best.

Also, at least they were kissing instead of eating each other’s faces like I remember people doing while I was still in high school.

I got into my first relationship after coming out, around the same time as the Tower of Nightmares was released, and Marjory and Kasmeer immediately interested me as characters. During the whole living story after that I got really emotionally connected to them and their relationship. As it grew, I was amazed by how real it was. This was no sexualized lesbian relationship just to cater some fans, this was, and is, the real thing. They open up to each other more and more and this was touching. This was like my relationship, that also grew and developed during the same time.

I’m also really happy with the conclusion of the story regarding KasJory, I cheered and shed a few tears at it.

So, thank you ArenaNet!

Still using Female 6. I was thinking of changing it but I don’t like the new faces enough to do so.

I really loved the instance in LA. There was quite a bit of character development and Taimi seems like an interesting character. These characters really work well with each other.

(And, growing up in a family with a lot of debts I really feel for Kasmeer now)

Can anybody who has changed to a new face show me how they glow? I have a male and a female Sylvari that might need a make-over but it depends greatly on the glow.

No. I only buy gems when ArenaNet releases a skin I truly want, or when I need transmutation crystals.

So far this has been 4 times. I’ve been playing since launch too.

I agree that SB needs to be more exiting. On the low-population server where I play he still gets run over by the Queensdale Karma Train.

I actually am in the process of getting two armor sets for my Sylvari. One is the cultural set, another one hasn’t been entirely decided on. I want to want until they release something like Krytan armor for light armor classes… Pants look so good on her.

So here’s an idea that I’ve been walking around with for some time now:

ArenaNet should start an armor design contest. The community here is very creative and I believe that there would be great results if we let these creative people design armor.

I’d like to note that there is a difference between negative feedback and negative constructive feedback.

Negative constructive feedback is what would be best for ArenaNet to see, but also the hardest for the community to provide. Because you don’t only need to point out the flaws of something, but also need to be more detailed about why the flaws are flawed in your opinion (and maybe even suggest a solution for said flaws).

Only pointing out what is bad without explaining why isn’t going to help ArenaNet, it will only make the poster feel better when they post it and afterwards feel worse because there wont be a reply.

That being said, I think ArenaNet could modify the +1 system to flag all posts as read when they are read. That would be very helpful to keep track of the thread, for both ArenaNet and the community.

Okay I’ve been following this thread long enough and I’d like to post something on a topic I know stuff about.

About the recurring characters, when I first ‘met’ Braham, I didn’t like him at all. However, when he teamed up with Rox the chemistry between them was so good that I really started to like him. I loved seeing both of them back in the Gauntlet, as in the cinematic in the latest update.

Kasmeer and Majory have the same for me. They really ‘work’ together. There’s actual chemistry between both of them and that makes them interesting to me.

Scarlet, although I do love her voice acting (I think there’s no Sylvari that sounds this good) is shallow to me just because she’s doing all of it herself. Yeah she has her alliances but there’s no interaction, no chemistry, no nothing between them. Scarlet is above all of this, she has nobody to interact with and that doesn’t do her character any good. Characters grow and develop when they interact with others, but since she’s not interacting with anyone she just stays the same. And how she is right now doesn’t work for me. I don’t even think she’s a convincing villain, she’s just a bored child to me.

Also, I would like to thank you guys personally for that recap cinematic in the latest update. I missed the assasination and it was great to see something of it, even if it was minimal. You should make these recaps more frequently, I think.

This actually sounds like a really good idea. I can remember a couple of missions that I’d like to see what would’ve happened if I made a different choice.

Hello everybody, I’m in the process of writing a fanfic and I need your help. I remember reading an ArenaNet blog post (which I unfortunately can’t find back) in which a Sylvari talked about how some of their kind fell from the Pale Tree from such a height they didn’t survive the fall. However, in-game it seems like they just ‘wake up’ instead of actually falling from the Tree. I was going to use the falling in my fiction, and I was wondering if it was still considered as actual lore.

I had one during the entire ‘Strike on Southsun’ community event where we took down the Karka Queen and cleaned all the temples in Orr with an enormous zerg. Great night.

I wouldn’t do it. The chance you can get one ticket is extremely low.

Some people like to play the events and get all the achievements. If commanders go farming instead, this can be bothersome because people will follow the commander. My advice is to just don’t use the commander-tag if you’ll be farming the event.

However this problem seems to differ per server, as I only had this issue once on mine? i don’t play 24/7 though, so I can’t speak for the server entirely.

The whole problem with this isn’t equality, it’s that we still make differences between males and females. In the end, we are all persons, regardless of gender.

It’s far easier to write Necromancy as evil, glad they are avoiding it for the time being.

Personally…. I’d like to see one with a good Sylvari and a good Mesmer (the Queen doesn’t count – half the people blame her for Logan’s failure with the dragon, splitting up Destiny’s Edge – I don’t blame her, but nonetheless, she’s to an extent debatable). I’m getting annoyed with every bad guy being a Mesmer and/or Sylvari (Canach) – and don’t say that Trahearne’s good because most people are annoyed with him for stealing their thunder.

If you look at aligning, Trahearne is a ‘good character’. This doesn’t change if people dislike him. (Or his accent.)
