Nope. The Pale Tree grew from a seed Ronan found in a cave. Unless, of course, you are suggesting Sylvari become seeds as they mature.
Since nobody knows what will happen, they might mature into a seed? Although it would be very unlikely. I guess I just like the idea of a tree spawning miniature versions of, let’s say, Trahearne for example.
+1
Although WP isn’t my favourite GW2 youtuber (give some credit to MattVidual you guys!) I believe that all hard-working individuals deserve a reward.
Yes, that also means the hard-working individuals on these forums.
Maybe when the Sylvari ‘mature’ they turn into trees themselves and spawn their own children. (Speculation, don’t take this seriously please.)
There are only 12 firstborns. And all of those 12 are known. Except, it another firstborn from other pale tree we have known.
Not true. There are still 3 of them that we don’t know. The ones currently known are:
- Aife
- Caithe
- Dagonet
- Faolain
- Kahedins
- Malomedies
- Niamh
- Riannoc
- Trahearne
The sub-classes idea is what I like most, especially after picking up Rift and trying out their class-system. Although I don’t feel we have a skilltree at all at the moment… We don’t need to unlock certain skills in order to get access to the others, so skill-diversity and maybe even class-diversity would have to be implemented otherwise.
Queen’s Songfestival.
A bit like the Eurovision Songfestival, but with more salads.
As said before, Mesmers are hard to level until you hit 40-something. Just make sure you start with your build as early as possible and you’ll be fine.
Agreed. 1+ from me.
+1 for the OP. I never had such a great community to play a game in before, the GW2 community (at least in-game) is amazingly helpful and nice and I feel really welcome in the game.
Wow so I bought the best armor without even knowing?
But seriously though, all cultural armor should glow.
My sylvari’s booty is so big a Norn can put his mug of ale on it and it won’t fall off. Sje needs a booty insurance.
I bet those with fungus-heads will make you trip.
Getting high on Sylvari sounds pretty interesting to me.
Since Scarlet looked and sounded like a female Sylvari to me, I’m actually hoping she’ll be one of the unknown Firstborn.

Oh. Well never mind this post.
I actually loved the dialogue, but everybody likes other things I guess.
Things people can be bothered about…
I actually miss events that end like the Karka event, it gave me a true sensation of working together. It is very different than a dungeon, I think even more social. I understand that there will be issues with it, but it was a great thing in my eyes and I loved it.
I love dungeons less. Even if I still like them, I feel like I’m depending on my guild to do dungeons. Mainly because I’m not a zerker.
This thread makes my day. I really feel peachy now.
Hey there
I’ve been looking for the last Lost and Found item today in Wayfarer Foothills, but it seems they aren’t dropping. I’m in Ruins of Surmia as server. Not sure if it’s the same in Diessa Plateau, since I have all those items already.
My mesmer is Night Cycle. She has quite a dark colour pattern, and I like secretive loners somehow. I do imagine her to be quite forceful sometimes though, I’m not sure if that fits her cycle or not.
Loved the dungeon, there were so many game elements in it I enjoyed every minute of it. Too bad it isn’t permanent. If only the other dungeons were this awesome.
I haven’t noticed any issue as a mesmer. I downed only twice, on the last fight. My clones didn’t die really fast, then again I tend to shatter on big fights so they have to die any way. And I’ve got like 5-6 skills that can summon clones, depending on what weapon I run.
At the moment I read ‘New Dungeon’ I was sold. The one thing our guild loves to do is dungeons, and I know I’m going to have a hell of a good time with my guildies in this new dungeon.
And now Sylvari are unattractive to me.
Actually, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Since Sylvari do have sex, I guess all the needed parts are still there.
Uhh if you havent notice, the way you look IE COSMETICS is a competition, so this game IS pay to win in that regard. Since when was only fighting a competition. Theres competition all around you, look, and it doesnt invovle smacking someone. Therefore its cheating, paying to get a head is cheating, its like paying the refereee to score points because you dont want to or cant score yourself. Cheating plain and simple, I dont know how any game can call itself credible when they ALLOW CHEATERS TO CHEAT in their game. How am I supposed to play a game where known cheaters are allowed to play?
This is actually a pretty good argument, with one small, tiny problem.
For the most part, no one cares how anyone else looks but themselves. So you’re really only competing with yourself. Since you can’t cheat yourself, it’s not a big deal.
Maybe you spend a whole lot of time looking at other people in LA and envying them….but I’m pretty sure most people don’t.
I dont envy them, i admire them, but I dont see anyone in LA anyway, the only time i get to see cool armors and weapons is during world boss fights. Thats when I actually see a crowd in this game. And who are you to judge what I like and dont like, whats the difference between competing for vanity with cosmetics, or competing for ego in pvp? Is one better?
I’m sorry, but I play on a low population server and LA is /always/ filled with people. Are you sure you are playing the same game as me?
The voice actor appears to be Jason Miller.
I don’t want harder content. I agree that PvE isn’t really difficult for most people, but those people should understand that there are casual gamers too. And if they don’t like casual gamers, there’s the minority that suffers from whatever physically challenges them to play the game. Colour-blindess or atritis for example.
But if so many people want difficult PvE, maybe Anet should think of implementing a hard-mode of some sorts?
That makes me less interested in using a certain limb of mine on a Sylvari.
I just-
You could use it elsewhere
You should keep both and try for yourself.
Game actually STARTED for me when I hit lv 80 and joined the active guild.
Exactly what happened to me. I started to truly enjoy this game after joining a guild.
+1
In fact, I like dressing up.
It could always be worse. GW2 could be owned by EA instead.
Are you serious? I could never get into my Mesmer BECAUSE he levels so very, very slowly. Necromancer has Locust Signet for 25% movement speed so I was zipping from one heart/event to another, and had warhorn for swiftness when I wanted. Mesmer had to make do with temporal curtain every 25 seconds for swiftness.
Additionally, there was a goodly amount of set-up time each fight, getting up clones and then shattering and hoping some jerk didn’t kill the enemy before my illusions got to him.
Necromancer was far more fun. More set-up before battles, but I could do that on the way and things went down way WAY faster as a necromancer with the stacking vulnerability and direct damage.
What spec were you using to level so fast as a Mesmer?
I could say that I cheated because I had the guide next to me and I swapped weapons almost immediately after entering the game. I’ve been using GS since level 5. It works so much better than Scepter for me. It’s a personal preference though.
I enjoy playing GW2 a lot. I have atritis in my left arm and most games are hard to play (coughTERAcough) but GW2 is actually pretty easy in controls.
Except jumping puzzles.
Anyway, of course I’m in a nice guild where everybody treats everybody good and we do loads of stuff together, so it’s also the social experience.
And it looks amazing. And it sounds amazing.
And I got attached to my PCs.
Make both?
If you can’t, however, I’d suppose you’d stick with Guardian. Mesmer are cool, but I was a beginner with a Mesmer and I highly regret that pick. Not that I hate the class or the toon (still have it, my main even) but Mesmers have a huge learning curve.
I agree with Everflame. Dodging solves a lot of issues you might have with the slowed down movement.
I don’t do jumping puzzles so I don’t know how to fix movement in that though.
Not a Chinese-speaker, but +1 from me to help you guys get the interface!
In Divinity’s Reach there are two NPCs called ‘Friendly Citizens’ so I decided to bring my Sylvari mesmer up to them and have a little chat. One of them was positive about the city, the other one wanted a Sylvari as pet.
I felt like running away.
I’m going to buy it with real money, yes. I tend to buy a gem card every month, it’s not that expensive and I want to support Anet as much as possible since they made the first and only MMO I actually kept playing.
I’d like a tab for it as well. +1’d.
Saw an Asura named Spread Legs Not War and just laughed out loud at it.
I guess they do… They can’t carry around waste forever.
Well, English isn’t my main language, so it’s a bit hard for me to know what’s serious or not. You could always think of that, but it’s fine.
1) There is none.
2) There is none
3) Level 30
4) I believe Mesmers and Guardians are pretty well stacked, but classes are customizable so it might differ from player to player. No idea about Necro, don’t play one.
I wish the personal story could be something more like the Walking Dead (the 2012 game).
Basically, in that game, you have to make a lot of tough calls, like who to save, who to befriend with, or how to proceed the story (e.g. cut off ur own hand, yes, no?) However, the results of all your choices do not change the occurring of major events or the major plots and ending of the story itself. In that game, your choices affect only the dialogues and how certain character dies.
+1
I /loved/ the way how that game made me feel like I had actually something to say (even if I almost always regretted my choice afterwards) and I feel like every game should have this level of interactive-ness.
I’m not giving you weird looks. I’m a girl and I think my female Sylvari is the sexiest PC I have.
Caithe and Trahearne are also pretty sexy. I think that the Sylvari are pretty kitten hot.
Treahearne
Get out
Chill. I only like a character you don’t like. No need to get all iffy about it. I can be on these forums as much as I want.
looks up on IMDB
Oh, she’s in Kingdom Hearts? Yes let her voice someone in a later update/expansion!

But if I offended anyone by using correct punctuation in the chat I apologize. It’s trained. Has to do with my job. People won’t read my work if I’m not typing it properly.
