hey just thought i’d let you know my guild (and potentially others) have no build timer que on the new guild world boss event item. We accidentally made 3 before we noticed. It still charged us everything just auto made it instead of queuing for a week.

This has been an issue for 5 months, people are going through the ticket system and getting no where. when will this be resolved?

josh, I know it has been mentioned before but requiring the torch to get to the wizard in order to complete infantile mode is a bit much.

I go through infantile mode first because:
1. it introduces me to the content
2. there is an achievement associated with it.

I’d like to only have to go through it once though so I can get on to the real modes. I see some jump opportunities that I will try to use to bypass but I hope you will consider this for future content: Dont make your players do the dumbed down version of anything more than they want to

one of my biggest challenges is the fact that things are turned around in so much that most games players need guilds more than guilds need players.

In this game its the opposite. Your average player doesnt really need a guild as the game is sort of designed to push players together regardless of their affiliation.

Guilds however do need players in order to get the influence needed to buy perks. Which means the leadership needs to work harder to instil loyalty, community and that desire to belong.

The things i look for in a guild are activity, comradely, and an extreme lack of drama. but i also like the guild to be large and active enough that i dont feel like i have to show up to every event in order for it to be successful.

Thanks to some solid leadership in our alliance guild Twia we took stonemist, then went on to punish crystal deasert for even stepping on our island.

well so far it has happened every night this week, some official word on whats being done and how to avoid getting screwed would be nice.

right now we are relying on word of mouth, someone gets booted for changing a zone they let the rest of the guild know so that they dont swap zones till the log in server is done being down.

I was hoping last nights official down time would have addressed this.

doesnt happen that often? As far as i can tell its happened 3 nights in a row now. The login servers go down kicking anyone that tries to zone or log in (my guild has failed 2 bounties due to this). and then those affected seem to lose stuff like their guild commendations they just earned before getting booted after having killed the first half of the bounty

i’m hoping that last nights server maintenance fixed the issue.

just getting back into the game myself. Its nice to have a solid community thats big enough to handle the ebb and flow of free to play mmo membership.

My situation was just updated and i am being forwarded to someone that can help me attach a new account to an existing gw1 who was attached to a banned gw2 account.

you forget something. Currently it is the developer that made this decision, not NCsoft (the publisher). I wont go so far as to guess what NCsoft will and will not do, however, i suspect this clause is in there so that they can shut down the servers for good any time they like; more than: so they can ban anyone for any reason or for no reason.

I fear because every time i turn around people are exploiting.

Every fractal group i run has either skipped content or bugged a boss.

People i know are using mesmer portals to do things clearly not intended by the devlopers (why else would they have changed the portals recently).

I personally know people who were banned for mailing gold, yes they got unbanned but still very scary.

And i’m not even going to get into the snowflake thing seeing how the people who did it have been called a terrible person by gaile. I cant imagine how those players feel to have a company they loved and supported, some for years, spent money on, got friends to play, moved entire guilds here, became pillars of this community, only to have Anet call them terrible people who viciously attacked the economy.

You guys made a great game and managed to save face long enough to win your 2012 awards and keep your Q4 stock happy. But this is too scary for me.

I mean, is someone somewhere going to take a look at my game files someday and see that I took part in bugging the mossman two weeks down the line and ban me?

I will continue to play the game but i cant even begin to commit the kind of time and resources(money) I wanted to with this type of behavior going on.

Arenanet used to be so awesome. In Guild wars 1 i heard about the 10% solo underworld monk and used that “exploit” to bank a lot of ecto and craft the ever elusive obsidian armor. At one point I can only assume this became a big enough problem that Anet simply patched it out one day. No one was banned but clearly this was not working as intended and by todays definitions was an exploit. But instead of destroying the faith their player base had in them, they simply fixed it and moved on.

I shudder to think where guild wars and arenanet would be today if they took this stance back then. Chest runners, Underworld Solo players, Minion Factorys all banned for playing the game within what they thought were normal paramaters.

Arenanet used to not punish people for being creative and “figuring things out first”, they used to encourage it.

too scary for me guys, i’ll play but i’ll not commit anymore. I’m scared this post will get me banned so i’m deffinitely not posting anymore (because a guild mate did get a forum ban for questioning anets “claim” that only 200 accounts were banned).
