Veteran here, and I’m going to throw my hat in the “shafted” bin. $50 is entirely too much for an add-on expansion. No MMO charges a full game price (or near to, some full games are still $50, others $60) for an expansion. The character slot is worthless. It’s $0 value. It’s 800 gems, but it’s so easy to earn that with in-game gold that it provides $0 practical dollar value, so the gesture is hollow. Give me a $10-15 discount on the pre-purchase, and you got me. Give me a character slot and it’s still a slap in the face, I have more gold in-game than I know what to do with without just flat-out buying a legendary, and I’d much rather save the $10-15 in actual money than the 800 gems which cost me $0 (or fewer gems if I wait for the char slot sale).

It’s a shame that people fall for the character slot so easily – traditionally MMOs that launches a new class add on character slots to accommodate it as part of the purchase, not a pre-order incentive. That’s just silly.

Ah well. I know ANet isn’t supported by subscription revenue but BL store revenue so I get that this is a move that’s probably needed to get some good cash flow going, but at the price of a full launch game, there’s approximately 0% chance that there’s going to be enough content to justify it. That’s why expansions are always priced lower. At least be honest about it and not try to placate people with a free character slot that would be free to anyone anyway. Anything that can be earned in-game has a $0 value, even if it can be bought for $ faster.

who wants to farm for something that takes time. its a game NOT A GRIND. right anet? to all those collection achievements i have not yet spent time in. maybe now i can grind… oops i mean work on those . haha

You still don’t address the scammy 45E you decided for this dlc, and you still are silent or extremely vague about the amount/content in there. Stop try to scam us and at least put the dlc on open beta for those that have already buyed it. Why are you so ashamed about your work ?

Daddy still wont buy you the game? Aww.

The struggle is real.

Many thanks to Gaile and the team! Some just don’t know how to appreciate something at all.

yeah i know. its a shame they just couldnt give us the expac. would make more since on my end. im happy now. i dont need it free. all i wanted was not to pay the extra or the alternative. kill my alt. yes she dies in the name of the revenant and the 4 gods he brings. well 3 that we know of.

I don’t think Anet should be praised for this. They could have proactively offered this, but no, only when suffering backlash do they make changes. They refused to listen to the people months ago about including a character slot. They are only now including one as damage control.

Yeah, how dare they correct their mistakes!

It’s not about not correcting their mistakes, it’s about what it tells about them, making the mistakes in the first place (and what that tells about how you view your players). It’s kind of sad that their standing probably will be better now, because of correcting that mistake (although I think it still falls short of what it ought to be: not tied to pre-purchase), than if they had offered a fairer deal from the start.

Sometimes its better not to apologize and still be able to hold the actions accountable otherwise they would have said sorry we didn’t have guild halls from the beginning. Amongst other mistakes. They can only fix so much without running themselves in the ground. I’m happy with what they did and who knows what holds in the future.

If you bought deluxe before this, do you get an extra slot or how does that work?

It’ll be rolled into your account soon. And yes, as a purchaser of the Deluxe Edition, you get the one with the expansion pack itself and the one extra, as well.

Hope that info helps.

Ty anet for listening. Still think it’s a bit much but more equivalent for value to that of a new players. As well as all those refunds shows the company means well. Expect more gem purchases from me I will be purchasing this xpac.

Think it’s more of misrepresenting the product

I
They actually had to change their FAO because of this, used to said you’d need to buy the core game, now it says you get it for free.

Misrepresentation of a product in a manner that could effect purchasing decisions is the legal definition of false advertisement.

Telling people (via the original FAQ), that the core game was required before purchasing HoT would certainly effect their decision to buy the core game.

Title 15 U.S. Code Chapter 2 Subchapter 1 Section 55 Additional definitions

(a) False advertisement
(1) The term “false advertisement” means an advertisement, other than labeling, which is misleading in a material respect; and in determining whether any advertisement is misleading, there shall be taken into account (among other things) not only representations made or suggested by statement, word, design, device, sound, or any combination thereof, but also the extent to which the advertisement fails to reveal facts material in the light of such representations or material with respect to consequences which may result from the use of the commodity to which the advertisement relates under the conditions prescribed in said advertisement, or under such conditions as are customary or usual. No advertisement of a drug shall be deemed to be false if it is disseminated only to members of the medical profession, contains no false representation of a material fact, and includes, or is accompanied in each instance by truthful disclosure of, the formula showing quantitatively each ingredient of such drug.

Ty for opening up that business law book. It’s not false advertising though if they accept refund s sold to the customers who actually were affected by it. In which is handled individually

Does it count as a refund when you have to forfeit all gems on the account?

All I can say is only ppl who bought and can deal with refunding are entitled for that claim. Otherwise no one else has been mislead. If anet shows legit fair trade over the faq that was advertised then there should be no claim of false advertising. Myself that is a strong word and can’t point my finger at anet. Maybe some can but I don’t know. True or not I did see a post on reddit someone stating they kept there progress which led me they kept there gem purchases too. But don’t know how true that is. This is the internet
edit: don’t get me wrong if a refund is all you did and didn’t pay the 50 then I would think your entitled but I just hate to see certain words used loosely when it didn’t happen to everyone. Would help if anet came clear on this though

4. It’s not false advertising. You still need the base game to play HoT. They’ve just bundled the two together in one key. Not having something in place to quickly copy & paste onto the forums for those who did purchase withing the past 30-60 days was the mistake here. To me, they also still haven’t officially announced that because it’s not on the official forum. ANet needs to learn to post things on more than just every site but the official forums. We shouldn’t have to post a link to a post on Reddit from a dev about what they are doing for those who purchased recently. It is however shady given they’ve done sales of the game recently.

.

Actually it is false advertising.
They are not only delivering on the deal they promised, they also led people on to believe they needed to purchase the core game before HoT, and had sales 3+ months before they announced this bundle.

Think it’s more of misrepresenting the product

I wish ArenaNet would have listened to players like me instead of listening to those demanding an unnecessary expansion. Free Living Story updates were a vastly superior content model than the antiquated “expansion” idea.

Now we’ve got a situation where the Living Story fans are mad that they are being coerced to pay for something that should be free, the expansion fans are mad because it is too expensive, rewards new players/insults older players, and/or used deceptive marketing to get people to buy the core game early, ArenaNet is behind the 8-ball and likely to lose a substantial amount of revenue no matter what happens, and everyone is likely to end up madder when the next announcement is made.

Long story short: Don’t do expansions. They stopped being a good idea when the internet was invented (for those of you who are post-internet gamers, expansions were invented as a way to expand your game by letting you go to the store and buy a disc that had more stuff on it. Discs are those round silvery things your parents have on shelves around their computers. The concept of needing a large dump of data at one time and for a large price is now obsolete since we now have alternate pricing and data delivery models).

Anet made some poor development choices early on and as time went on tried to resolve them without admitting they messed up. Which any company would do considering it would be bad pr. If they stuck with the traditional expac and did balancing etc for free they wouldn’t have a 2 year overdue expansion. Working on this in the background and saying nothing is off the table put there resources in too many directions. I’m with you in a sense they need focus but like the expac route just because I believe bug fixes and balancing should be free and treated as any normal patch update

You did NOT pay Arenanet in advance so they owe you a personal butler that brings you three years worth of updates on a silver platter. You paid for Guild Wars 2 in it’s vanilla state. Nothing more, nothing less.

Have you lost touch with reality?

I did pay ANet in advance on the clearly stated promise that the game would be continually updated. And I did get three years of promised updates on a silver platter, like they promised, all because I made that initial purchase that carried with it the explicit promise of updates. It’s not something I made up, it’s how ANet marketed the game. And they kept their promise, good on them!

What kind of person are you, besmirching ANet’s good name by implying differently?

aside from the last 2 content(ls) ever other was a hack job and to anet and the way they made it feel was an experiment that failed. The marionette was good too. Guild halls should have been in game from the beginning. so to me this expansion is 2 years to late considering they should have been working more steadily on it

After re-thinking this whole thing for a bit Ive come to the conclusion that Anet sold beta access for 50 bucks, since thats the only reasonable explanation.

They wont be able to sell 2 mio copies of HoT at current financial situations all around the world at this price, not without a lot more content (like twice as much as they currently offer).

We have, however, seen beta access getting more and more valued over the last few years, so charging for the “privilege” of beta testing and getting a perceived headstart might be what’s making pre-purchase price 50 bucks.

Keep in mind, no release date, no finished in-depth content list, usually means it will take at least a few months until release of expansion. Makes about one or two months of beta testing, so it does make a sad kind of sense to price pre-purchase with beta access higher than release. Sad, because I remember a time when beta testing was more than just sneak peeking.

Ill just keep on waiting and see what will happen when release date is drawing near. I dont have time for beta access anyway, and not really interested in a title ^^

i played headstart beta. didnt help one bit. the warrior targeting was so messed up it made me hate the class. or at least frustrated with it. i ended up sticking with the mesmer and loved it the 6 months in re rolled the warrior and now he is second most played out of my alts. with that said i could care less about beta. im willing to wait and have no problems missing beta. probly better when the real thing starts anyway. btw i am excited about tuesday. the way i like the mesmer now and the buffs they have. does get me gitty inside. along time coming. long time coming but now its here it will be great. so long as they dont break the warden and ileap again lol.

Well this is the generation of people that feel entitled to having things for free or paying less too get more. Making a good game costs money as people that want this game too continue we should be happy to do what we can to keep it going.

I first apologize for my english.

But, you are a generation of people totaly blind and naive.
You pay a new AAA game ( meaning a REAL game, with 3-4years ( or more ) developpement ) just 10more $
( without saying that you can easyly find new game for around 40$ depending of the site where you buy the key. )

Actualy, the HOT expansion dont even provide 1/4 of what a GW1 expansion / stand alone was offering , and they were sold, like 20$ cheaper…
( even if they was sold as stand alone, they were still acting as expansion tho )
HOT is
- 3 pve maps
- Guild hall housing ( because thoses greedy cant even provide that “for free”, btw “for free” mean : paid with the cash shop, of nothing is done for free and dont worry the CS is a very good money income )
- 1 new class
- 1 specialisation per class ( compare to what they were able to with GW1, its just… nothing )
- 1 pvp mode with 1 map ( dat hard work ! )
- 1 mcm map… /yawn.

And now, you try to tell me that for that very (very) little content after THREE YEARS, its normal to pay a AAA game price, for ONLY that ?
I even bought GW2 itself for less than the “expansion” price like a week or two after his release…
Oh and btw, Anet scam... I mean… get enough money with the cash shop, dont worry for that.
So its not really like they need to scam.. i mean.. sell that “expansion” that expensive.

And, just look at what other mmo do for their “expansion”…

Please, stop be a blind Anet fanboy, stop alcool / drug, and wake up a bit.

This was not my quote, I was replying to that quote in a manner similar to yourself. You’re actually quoting Frightlight.3796: there

EDIT: Is html broken all of a sudden? Quotes don’t work anymore…[/quote]
companies imploy marketing tactics all the time to get the most out of the product. i literally thought for sure at the time playing gw1 waiting for gw2 to come out that guild halls would be included. after all they did scrap the next gw1 release for gw2. after 3yrs we finally get 1 new class. so much bickering over lack of quality content the first 2 yrs as they tried to implement a weekly or bi weekly ls. overall the game is good but the content lacks considering we are 3 yrs in. Tera online introduced there small expac for free (fate of arun). you also got an extra character slot with a new class(gunner) didnt pay a dime for it. Why? they depend on there cash shop for revenue. which the game and cash shop lacks in comparison to gw2 but if they can do that and gw2 makes us pay for guild halls which should have been in the core game from the beginning. At least my opinion anyway. To finalize we dont even have build template saver like most games do. a simple fix i would think since all you do is save it in the guild wars folder just like screenshots. thats how gw1 worked anyway. So yeah, 50$ is extreme

Considering that Colin posted in another thread hours ago but chose to ignore this issue, I’m becoming more and more convinced that Regina’s answer is final.

They might count on next week’s update to distract us. Maybe they think they can only reach their sales targets by charging vets $60 to access all HoT content, and were expecting us all to shrll out $100 like good fanboys and -girls.

In reality many of us will end up buying the expac anyway. I think a lot of goodwill has been lost though. The continued silence gives the impression they don’ t value that.

Losing goodwill will likely have consequences though. Vets that habitually supported the game through gemstore purchases will think twice in the future.

They’ll hit Anet where it hurts.

Right in the gems.

Exactly. Meanwhile s bunch of new players who have not shown loyalty are trusted to take up the slack. Keep in mind that these new players just got a free game

You aren’t paying more because the prepurchase tiers include the core game. The core game is included as a Free Bonus. I repeat: FREE BONUS. As was officially stated above, since many of you either failed to read it or failed to comprehend it.

Whether the tiers include the base game or not will not alter the prices.

What is failed to be understood is nothing is free. In order to make it free they have to account for there roi to ncsoft and investors. They wanted it that price to fund that return of investment. Making players feel like there are the only demographic supporting the sale. Furthermore, HoT is not there main source of profit. Gem store is. it is going to hurt anet if they market the bundle this way. Promoting new players is great but how loyal to the game will new players theehen you know players been around since head start are a sure way for future profit. I’m all for new players but not like this. I support the game and almost all for what anet does but this one was a mistake all the wayfrom transparency to veterans and that 10 $ sale. For anet to be aware that this stops here is good for me

I purchased the game at full price $39.99 directly from ANet because it was “required” for the expansion. The gap between their initial “It requires the base game to play”, the start of the discounts and the subsequent bait-and-switch is in the order of MONTHS.

I understand where your coming from . The packaging is messed up . On purpose or not. Here’s how sales work. Being a manager of a supermarket for 5 yrs. Companies have to find a way to get there return profit back. In this case to cover that margin there using the vets to cover all the free copies given free to new players. That’s what’s so frustrating. Some grocery stores ushigh-lo sales tactic. Marking an item up way to high just b4 it goes on sale. For instance: hamburger buns are on sale so they drastically raise the price of ketchup that week . It’s a similar tactic only in this case ppl who own the game are the only ones paying for the margin

And not even being compensated via the key to the base game (because anet would lose sales), gems, a friggin character slot OR a stand alone expansion LIKE EVERY EXPANSION the original GW did.

you got it. If they didn’t bundle it and charged 40 and kept doing 10 $ sales might have been better route. Here’s what my thoughts are. They feel there losing money on alt accts. They didn’t want anymore ppl already playing the game to get it for 10. Just a theory

Hi,

First off, I’ve been a big fan of GW1, GW2, the living story and all the work you’ve been doing, for this reason, I know HoT will be worth every penny you ask for, and I’d have certainly pre purchased it straight away (like I did with GW2 on april 10th), if it wasn’t for you’re policy of including the first game.

I perfectly understand it makes sense for you to include GW2 in the package, as this almost 3 years old game is quite frequently bargained for $10, and you get most of your money from the gem store anyway.

However, I find this a bit shocking not to give something back to the GW2 players (let’s say, that same $10 in the form of 800 gems, enough to get a character slot).

Right now, a player that have 5 characters would have to pay “more” to bind the extension with his original account to create a Revenant, as he would have to pay for an additional slot (or delete one of his character), than just creating a new account.

I personally spent happily over $100 on the gem store, already have an empty 11th slot for my revenant, but I really don’t feel good about pre-purchasing HoT with the current offer…

I really hope you’ll reconsider.

For me delete mule and pay for bank storage or buy char slots. I’ve invested too much time on alll my characters acroas the board. Paid for gem stuff not just because I had to have something but thinking I’m contributing to the future of the game. My wife had dusk drop a couple weeks ago . I had been saving up for the precursor when it dropped for her off a kitten graveling in ac. I still owe her as she sold it to me for the price on to avoiding fees . I still owe her 500 as I only play on weekends mostly since I am over the road Farming at this point isn’t an option for a character slot. I would have to buy one so to me this would ease my mind better if I could get the slot for free. Maybe another precursor too. l

Anet must be in dire need of cash infusion to stay afloat at these prices. Its too steep of a price. Can anet guaranty that we will get nearly equal amount of content that bought when the game launched since the price is only $10 less? Stuff like guild halls and gvg should have been included at launch. I can almost imagine the amount of bugs/glitches we the players are going to have to put up with when HoT launches, like every major update time and time again.

I agree. Ppl talk about how much functionality there is going to be but most of this stuff like gh,gvg and balancing is stuff a net finally trying to fix since launch. So yeah 50 for some extra maps and next episode of ls . Reverent with no character slot. I know I’m speaking too soon because we still have only chunks of content shown to us but as of now it is pricey. Just too little to go on. Which is why I’m holding off for now. What will I miss anyways….. Beta. I played head start with a war. Made me hate the class till I rerolled 6 months later. So don’t think I’m missing much to see how things play out

In a post titled TANSTAAFL which will likely be merged:

“To clarify: $50 is the price of the expansion. We included the core game as a free bonus to make it easier for new players to get into it.” -Regina Buenaobra
Content Marketing Team Lead

No. Nothing is free. This isn’t the 1950’s. We all know buy one get one free, is really pay double for one, and the illusion of the second free.

Your customer’s aren’t stupid. If the new player’s aren’t paying for it, then the veterans are.

If its truly free then make the core game free to download now. Or more realistically give vets a second account key with purchase of HoT to do with as they please.

So many kudos for the Larry Niven reference. Mods, please leave the all-caps title alone, it’s a classic acronym that needs to be in caps.

Though I think TANJ might be more along the lines of the general thrust of your post

The thing is, I think they just phrased it poorly. The price is what it is (and is ten to twenty dollars pricier than I expected) and they decided to bundle in the core game for those who need it. TANSTAAFL applies to the fact that we have to pay for the expansion, not to the inclusion of the core game — likely coding was easier this way than to do split up package variations.

I’m sure they have a marketing team that has has batted around once or twice. It’s clear they wanted it this way. It’s fine by me . More new players the better but selling a new class without a free character slot. This has never been done in any gw campaign, xpac. I just want the free slot and even though 50 is still too high I’ll be happy with that

I honestly think that the base expansion not including a new character slot is fair. Sure, the old gw1 campaigns gave you 2 free slots, but they were stand alone. If you bought prophecies first that one gives you 6 while the others gave you 2 each.

That’s not how GW1 worked. The first game wasn’t the “core”, it was just the first campaign. Each campaign was independent and usable and come with 2 character slots. Also, each account gets for free 2 complementary slots by default.

So if you bought Nightfall alone, you’d get 4 slots. Then you buy Prophecies and you’d get 2 more slots for 0 new classes (cause all the Prophecy classes were included in the other campaigns)

oops, I must have been remembering wrong, but at any rate the first stand alone game you got came with more character slots than the second or third. And what we’re getting isn’t a stand alone game, it’s an expansion, and if we compare it with the one and only gw1 expansion you’ll notice they’re similar in the fact that neither comes with extra character slots.

EoTN was the only add on to not have character slots. No new class or race which the others did have which in turn gave slots

Goods are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for them. So if enough people pay the 50$ than the game is worth 50$. If you don’t think it’s worth it to you, you don’t pay for it.
However Anet needs to sell, so if enough people show that they are not willing to pay the price, Anets only option would be to lower the price. Most likely disguised as a special offer so they can go back to the higher price after the offer ends.

I think the term “high-low” sales tactic is what they are doing. Mark it up as high as possible so when the declare a sale it makes it more appealing. Cuz you just saved that much more

People on these forums are complaining about the value of the GW2 expansion. I believe that everyone is titled to there opinion, fair enough. BUT if you have ever went to go see a movie when it first came out YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE!!! You say GW2 expansion cost too much but you will spend $10-$20 to see a 2 hour movie.

At least we don’t make asinine assumptions, because no, in fact, I wouldn’t ever pay 20 dollars for a movie. Firstly because a new movie is only $9-$12 where I live, and second because I always wait for them to go to Redbox or the dollar theatre.

If that is in fact true, rejoice, you might not be a hypocrite.

Same here. Generalizing is unfair when I stopped watching movies because it’s cheaper easier at home

To clarify: $50 is the price of the expansion. We included the core game as a free bonus to make it easier for new players to get into it.

Door to door salepersons use words like bonus, in addition to. But for me it’s buying the gamectwice with no free character slot . Sum it up I have to pay BONUS charges or delete a character I invested time in to play your so called free content(reverent)

The price of living goes up. Minimum wage goes up. Gas prices go up.

See a pattern here?

Price of living goes up, minimum wage goes up, companies lay off thousands of workers so they are paying around the same amount as before. People have less money because of unemployment and can no longer afford the inflated prices. Yes I see the pattern.

Or maybe it’s the jobs we invest in overseas or the debt we owe china. Millions spent in Iraq that made things worse over there in middle east. It all has to trickle down somewhere and eventually we pay not the government. We are already too far in debt that nations won’t lend to us. So now what. Oh forgot we can print new currrency making money into thin air

It is amazing how many people seem to feel they have rights to decide what should and should not be included and how much it should cost. The truth here is, you have nothing to say about this what so ever, and if you feel it is to much then don’t buy the game. Expansions do cost money, mostly just as much as the game once did. This is nothing new. A-Net is a company that want to earn money, that is how the real world works.

Up to now GW2 have been amazingly free from extra charges, to be able to go on playing. Now they made a expansion and if we want them to keep up with what they done in the past, then we will have to pay for the expansion so they can keep on working on the game. Expecting anything else is a bit naive.

It is our right to voice. Since there gem shop is the main profit maker I font think one extra free slot would hurt especially selling a new class in which all veterans from launch have invested too much time in to even consider deleting. In the end they have the right but we still have the voice. That’s free enterprise to charge whatevrre you want and sell to who you want. The idea behind this is to create competitive price and service. Without consumer feedback the market is lost
That don’t go for insurance companies . They have there monopoly and own set of rules:D

People forget that we pay no sub fee and receive whole expansions worth of content for free on a regular basis.

Again oasis this b4. I know I’m not the only one who spent money on the gem shop for the main reason to support development. In hopes they never charge a subscription
What if I wasn’t will to pay for that content? They can’t give it to me claiming it is free and then charge me for it later.

But it’s not $50 for the bundle, you’re buying the expansion for $50 and they’re throwing in the core game as a bonus. :/

don’t let words like bonus fool you. That’s for door to door salesmen. If they wanted you to not buy it they would use words like have to or pay additional features
Go google guild wars 2 buy, and look up the cached page you’ll see what I talked about in another post. Those new players will have to deal this this. Because, two hours ago Guild Wars 2 “DIGITAL HEROIC EDITION” was sold for $40. Then they added the expansion for $50 including the $40 game without the 3 extra meh items… that no one cared much for anyway. So yeah.. we gotta buy the game again for $40 it seems, and then pay $10. Great job.

Yo I was just responding to Clarissa. They just stated on Facebook in a replay that $50 is for the expansion and the core is a freebie. Scroll down from what you quoted or look on the prior page because I’m not happy with the price either for what’s being released.

that

If you google “gw2 buy” and cache the page. You’ll see the “DIGITAL HERO EDITION” was $40 two hours ago. Now the expansion includes that core game for $50, without the 3 extras that no one really cared much for. These were: Suit of Legacy Arpmor, Mithril Box, and 10 Experience Boosters. So if you’re a veteran, the idea is you pay $40 for the core game and $10 for the expansion. The idea is the expansion price is being inflamed, it’s
actual price is around $20-$30. We would have agreed to $35, but not anymore. They just make the game more expensive than it is, and make it sound good. But veteran players get screwed, and new people basically pay $40 for the game, and $10 for the expansion. If they bought it after they release the pre-purchase. The point is that, veteran players get screwed. And new players get a great deal. When it should be at best equal on both ends, because both veteran and new players should matter. More so the veterans, who sunk their money into the GemStore like most of us have.

Great sales pitch. They should sell life insurance with the way they marketed this one. False advertising made legal. Nice that 10 purchase prepared ppl to pay it again for HoT in
. Yep they helped them prepare

It kind of is a scam, because how do we know they are ever going to release an upgrade version.

Right. They already charged NEW players an extra 10 then late said they still have to pay that 50 when they thought they were getting a deal but find out tonite they didnt. Might as well say it to be false advertisement

I sure hope so

Nope, even without caps crit damage based specs outperform condition specs, and will continue to do so until conditions can crit.

That’s what condition damage spec is for. Conditions will never crit. Less stacks doing more damagel

think players are trying to bleed a rock. When something is incomplete the facts are not there. Anet then will have a hard time in the pr department if the complete version gets stuff added or taken away. Designers need a sense of freedom to change things without worrying about backlash

Judging a book by its cover. Imagining im a war. Traveling through magumma. Hordes of modrem attack. Immediately shout for might, signet of rage and auto attack. Adrenaline full so now i can use my combo. Combustion shot, arcing arrows for area of more might. Swap weapon to savage leap(fire aura). As remnants of fire field are still left i begin whirling axe. This is the combo i mainly use but not without thought of what the target is doing. Now imagine a whole new chain of skills for each profession. Profession within another profession. To me that seems like 8 more different professions not including the revarent and its specialization. And this is a different fundamental way of playing changing the core of gw2 for even better updates if we went without expansion. Oh, yeah, i see how short changed we are(sarcasm) cough cough! Yet we still dont know how much money were spending on it.

Not quite sure yet. I would definately do an asuran if anet would put out a hybrid asuran. Like at least over 5ft tall compared to real world measurements. There so short there skins on them seem so insignificant. Such as the gs. Make them drag the sword on the ground just before they swing. That way there weapons will look just as big as others.

Just one legendary tease!!

I mainly dont care if its la again. But a personel bit is history jas proven this city keeps getting battered. Heres a lore. Divinity reach gets anhilated in the midst while jenna telepayhically calls logan for help. He reaches the gates of divinities reach. Rushing in as he always does to save his beloved queen a pillar topples on top of him and logan again dies mindlessly rushing in as logan always does. This time permanantly. Now we all rebuild divinity to be

if you know the situation Moon.1496 is in i feel where he is coming from. i used to get penalized alot in pvp gw1 being long haul trucker. though now i can be home for weekends and dont have a laptop anymore i dont play most weekdays. it is a big hassle with wifi and understand Monn’s status. hang in there . your a real loyal player.

I don’t like the new dailies. I get to play for only an hour or 2 and not everyday. I am a trucker and have to use truck-stops WiFi. Not the best in the world I dc alot . So for the hour or two that I have I spend all of it on just the daily. Need to do logging where did the trees go that day why are there so few? I spend at least 1/2 hour looking for what ever needs to be done that day trees rocks or the plants.
I don’t like PvP or WvW too much bullying going up there. I don’t even have the title “Been there done That” because of mean rude players in those 2 zones. I can’t do bosses because of the WiFi problem at truckstops. Too many people in one area and I really dc ALOT. Besides the boss I might need may not show up for another 4 hours I AM NOT GOING TO DRIVE A 40 TON TRUCK TIRED!!!! I will go to bed first before waiting on a boss. Why do we have to do W V W or P V P? Why aren’t there more options? Why must I spend what time I have just on Daily? I don’t understand why the changes everyone one well a few people think are so great.

My opinion about the change other than having to port across the map to chop down a few wood. Must be frustrating for new players. And world bosses. Wouldnt mind so much if it was any world boss. But a specific one. If your not doing world bosses that day it can easily be missed. I liked it better the way it was but to me its not that important. My opinion is stronger with new player base.. “Fire ele! where is that”. Once they google it they find theree norn has to trek all across a clouded map to the other side of metrica. Not being new i dont live and die with the dailies so i feel if this stays then i just wont do them. Not much of a loss to me. No one will convince me to have to be at a certain time and place when i got somewhere else in game to be
