there is about 8 of us stuck too on the Legacy of Foefire
I’m looking for a guild who does WvW raids every night with a good amount of people.
I don’t have a load of time to be in a hardcore guild demanding me to be present at least 3 raids per week, because sometimes I can, sometimes I don’t.
age/gender:
21/m
main class:
Warrior
alt:
Guardian
Yeahhhhhhhhhhh…except according to spidy the last time the price was 13s was on 2/12.
I’m sorry mister know it all, but you do realize that Spidy only shows the price hourly and sometimes inaccurately?
All I bought was in 20 min..
my progress is now 21/1400 Gold.
So Legendary!
Aw man, that sucks, I so understand how that feels… I wasnt able to play Half Life 1 for the very same reason
Fortunately, SAB doesnt do that to me!
Well the prices haven’t “doubled.” They went from around 17s to aroung 26s.[…]
I bought 150 at 13 silver each just before the huge rise. So yeah, they doubled..
[…]it’s worth pointing out that the spike coincided with the release of Super Adventure Box[…]
That may be a reason. But still.. Double the price..
(edited by trane.4569)
How the hell did the prices doubled in less than a week??
Fortunately I managed to buy half of what I needed before this.. but none the less, it’s odd :S
Good Guy OP
Thank you kind Sir
They could definitely do a Hammer, I’d live to get an 8bit Hammer.
I managed to get out of the SAB and keep the super Zoom Cam Boss Fight
As a former Pikeneer (currently on Underworld), I’ll be rooting for you guys!
I honestly don’t think they have the resources to do this anyway
Lol, I’ve forgotten how good it was to be innocent… haaa… Good times… Good ol’ times…
Upon the latest Forbes’ list of the wealthiest people on the planet, I though it’d be funny if our beloved (or “not so beloved” by some) economist John Smith do some sort of top 50 list which would show the wealthiness of the richest people in the game.
Obviously, he would need to hide the player’s names and use their server name, or something like that, instead.
What do you people think about that?
going for Sunrise.. i’m a third way there..
right now focusing on T6 mats, then I’ll be after Dawn, then lodestones, then and I’ll be pretty much done I guess…
let me refrase it. actually, I’m trying to focus on my college subjects, but instead I end up thinking about playing the game…
thank goodness I’m not that addicted to drugs, I’d have had an overdose already :S
I hereby support the addition of Cantha and Elona and whicever other continent that can be added to the game.
As someone who didn’t play GW1, I’d love to see these continents.
Pretty pretty please?
4 pages and still not even 1 dev comment?
these changes won’t go back.
“The world owes you a great debt” but the small print is, you have to visit every single sapient being to collect their share.
“As long as I am Marshal of the Pact, I will see that debt honored.”
then trahearne should go off and collect it if he is so eager to see it paid
ah, well… It was worth a try…
Hello there,
This post is directed to ArenaNet developers and players, since there is a lot of misunderstanding throughout the forum regarding the Legendary Weapons and mainly the precursors. Before get into that we need to know and understand what the source of these complaints is:
The Legendary Status
So, to make myself clear, it’s important to take a look at the very first video about the Legendary Weapons [by Arena Net].
This allows us to conclude that the purpose of having a Legendary weapon is not only to get it’s beautiful skin but most importantly to show everyone that you are a true Guild Wars 2 master player, it’s an item that showcases your achievements. Therefore it must be the hardest item to obtain in the game.
Now, keeping that in mind, let’s take a closer look into the current process of crafting the legendary itself. The average legendary weapon costs:
- 500 Dungeon Tokens (account bound)
- 1.010.100 Karma or 7500 Fractal Relics (account bound)
- 339 Skill Points (account bound)
- Gift of Exploration (account bound)
- 500 Badges of Honor (account bound)
- being a mastercrafter in 2 crafting professions
- 120 Gold (buyable stuff from NPCs
- 1100+ Gold (stuff only buyable from BLTCo)
OR - just buy it from the Black Lion Trading Company
So, you don’t need to be a hardcore gamer to understand where the most difficult part of obtaining these items lays on. Yes, I’m talking about the gold. Because anyone can make the gift of mastery and the gift of fortune with ease, and not feeling half way through!
So that’s it…? More than half of the legendary weapon is just about gold? What about being a master of the game? Am I a master of the game just because I farmed the “cat” out of it? What about being a Dungeon Master? or a Master Crafter, or a Weapon Master, or the the Savior of Tyria, or a Realm Avenger, or perhaps being an arena champion?
To finish this post, I would like to suggest the game developers to review the recipe of the legendary weapons and change it in any way they see fit to match the true concept it was initially theorized. And please remember to keep it freaking hard.
PS. I’m posting this on various sub-forums since it brings various dicussions (precursor prices, adding suggestions, crafting and game discussion). Please use the sub-forum in which you think your response belongs to.
Thank you

Penguin, never disappoints with the ad hominem. Legendaries clearly aren’t what they were made out to be. No need to try to attack him rather than his argument.
I’m not sure what ad hominem is. Is it a song by Queen?
it’s a philosophy term. which means you’re trying to make your arguments more valuable by denigrating the other person’s image
(edited by trane.4569)
… and Trahearne told me in these exact same words:
“The world owes you a great debt, Commander. As long as I am Marshal of the Pact, I will see that debt honored.”
So, uh… How can I contact Trahearne and ask for a Dawn and 100 Charged Lodestones? I don’t even ask for the rest of T6 materials and ectos I still need to gather, a Dawn and 100 Charged Lodestones would feel pretty fine to me.
Thank you.
Upon reading the Edge of Destiny I could not understand if Queen Jennah actually likes Logan or is just taking advantage of him.
I’mc more inclined to say that we are closer to see a disruption between them than to see a King Thackeray, though…
So I was wondering how we could prevent gold sellers from rising the precursor price on the TP. So I came up with a timer on trades. Like: you list an item in the trading post and it has x hours to be sold. If no one buys it, you retrieve it and loose the the listing fees.
Now how would this affect the precursor market, would it lead to higher or lower prices?
(edit:)
you guys are not focused, it would obviously affect the whole TP, but I’m just asking what would happen to the precursor market
also this is not a suggestion, otherwise it would be in the Suggestions sub forum
i just wanna discuss economy

I’ll be crafting my mystic clovers pretty soon.. I’m just waiting to get my 1 million karma..
But I’m wondering:
Which recipe should I go for? 10 or 1?
I know that 1 recipe has technically 33% chance of success, but I also heard that the 10 recipe stacks the success % if you do them all in a row. Is this last statement true?
why am I watching commercials in a forum…?
I seriously doubt it… Unless we get something that gives us a 2% chance of getting one…
hahaha
and right in the middle of lion’s arch! that would be hilarious xD
I wouldn’t want to have to spend a tonne of time in SPvP for a skin I can only use in PvE and WvW.
And I don’t like to farm tons of gold instead of completing my personal story, do dungeons, play WvW and PvP..
I just suggested it because it would be fair you would need to get something with glory to get a legendary.
though I don’t think lodestones would be the best item to that…
lol, only allow them to walk around their prision cell.
would be fun to mock them from the outside hahaa
Lodestones aren’t only used in Legendary weapons.
No kitten, sherlock…
The prices are only that high because of legendaries..
no no no no
my build is around healing power, and I like it very much.
my thoughts:
making them buyable through gold/karma vendor is not the best idea.
in my opinion it should be from the Rank 50 or 60 Glory Vendor. Since glory is the only currency that is not required to craft a legendary…
After finishing the Personal Story, are there any more quests like those showcased besides World Events and Hearts?
I’m a warrior as well, if you want some survivability you’ll need to invest in a tank build.. (google it)
You wont get super tough I mean, you wont be able to go against a zerg by yourself but if you play well you may be able to win against 2..
and in massive battles you’ll be able to get advantage of people who get too close to your defense/attack line but mind yourself not to do that as well.
sadly, yes, this is true. but i have no idea of how to fix current situation on legendarys other than remove them from the tp, and make precurser have a increased chanse of drop and make then acc bound… but that would prob kitten me off even further.
I think they should take legendaries out of the trading post…
Legendaries should be a reward for playing the game and not for making money.
The recipe should be more about stuff like the badges of honor, karma, the dungeon gift, the gift of mastery, the icy runestones etc…
And I dont understand why they didnt put any item in the recipe that requires Glory.
Couldn’t they just add a serial number identification when the precursor / legendary item is made.
Item crafted by “this user ID”.
Would that not narrow it down to who made what, where these items are going and what they are being used for. It was used in other mmorpg’s when users crafted items (not naming any in particular) would put the name of the user who crafted it under the stats. There is a sense of pride that goes along with crafting these items and it should not be done just to be able to trace where the items end up through the market, but to give the users crafting them, those that are using them, a greater sense of joy.
That is actually a pretty kitten idea…!
soon you say? It only be out in May, IF that soon…
till then work on the other gifts… and pray… pray to Dwayna to keep you healthy, pray to Balthazar to give you strength, pray to Kormir to give you patient and to Grenth to KILL THE MOTHERkittenING TRADING POST LOBBY!
I’m sorry guys, got a little overexcited..
These prices are ridiculous… its like a month worth of farming. if you actually farm every single day.. and the whole day, not just a couple of hours…
Well, thank you all, I think I got the answers I needed.
This post could be now closed.
The main upside is FotM isn’t as boring as Orr farming all day.
I do believe that..
If you are selling everything you get in fractals including the ectos from rares and the cores/lodestons from chests then a run, which takes about an hour to an hour and a half, nets like 3 gold on average.
Well, I do need to keep ectos and some tier 6 materials…
by “all geared up” I mean, do I have to sacrifice my MF gear to a specific build gear?
and by “a really good player” I mean do I need to be above ‘average/not too shabby’ player?
but back the main question.. is it worth it to reach high fractals level?
is it guaranteed that I’ll be (not swimming in gold) but close to it?
or would I be better at Orr, farming all day and get my 10-15 gold a day?
Hey fellow tyrians,
I’m fairly new to FotM since I’ve only reached lvl 3 and only did so to get my monthly achievement. But recently I’ve been researching ways of farming gold (for my legendary) and a lot of people say FotM is a good spot for that.
But is it better than Orr farming?
Would I get more gold per hour?
Do I need to be all geared up?
Do I need to be a really good player?
If someone could answer my questions I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you, and have a good game.
I’m gonna give you an 7/10 with bonus points for his story line.
My human male is Battleheart.
I’m thinking about extend it to Arahborn Battleheart.
yeah but needing a 100 gold for a cammander sign just because I want a party of 6 is too much cheese..
maybe notation system for the map would be too much cheese, and actually difficult to code, idk..
