He isn’t a range fighter—oh no!
He uses it as a ‘puller’ (like the old GW days-)
A little ’ pew pew pew’- got the enemies attention- then finish the kill up close and personal like
Makes him look good too!
Rifle is much better looking on a Charr than a long bow
(Purely for looks and immersion!)

I read many good ‘arguments’ for the pros and cons of this kind of feature, but I am sad to see the re occurring theme seems to be pointing and yelling ‘LIAR!’ before someone even answers the question of what stats they are using in game?- That isn’t very community, or trust building to me.
Who would even want to play in these teams of ‘raiders-dungeoners-fractual’ with the toxicity just displayed here on a forum about an idea the OP listed?

It would useful to see what skins characters are using.

Can’t count how many times I asked what skin is that, only to be met with a stone cold stare, an awkward pause, and the character just running away.

Maybe they were from another country and didn’t understand what I said.
Maybe they were an advanced AI sent back from the future, and they couldn’t risk changing my fate.
Or maybe I am insane and they were never there to begin with.

Seriously tho, depending on where they are parked at..they may just be AFK and don’t see chat.
Or, they are really jerky and don’t want to respond…they are out there in real life too I am afraid.
I usually just ask in whisper first..99% of the time I get a “Thanks!” and the information I wanted- many are flattered you noticed their look among the many others around.

I wonder…that the orb can indeed be an ancient artifact created by races un named from the last dragon rise…and the Eye of Janthir could also be one such artifact??

I await patiently for the full circle in GW2—-the lore, the Gods, the other continents that made GW what it is: EPIC.
As an original GW player since the ‘beginning’…I love the feel of it, the lore, and the different professions.
GW2 is the next generation of the original…I hope that the Devs realize this very important fact and builds upon the foundation that is GW1-EoTN.

Less a typo and more a retcon, since we didn’t know the island existed until Eye of the North nor had a name for it until GW2 betas (and for all we know the devs didn’t come up with that island location until making the new map for Eye of the North); most people, iirc, thought that Janthir was the mursaat’s name for the Ring of Fire islands until GW2 named that northern island.

Anyways, your comment made it sound like you were saying that the mursaat handed it to the White Mantle post-Saul’s disappearance.

That said, when puging you can fail horribly, but you can also have fun. I just see a lot of people addicted to “being the best”, and instead of trying new things they go with cookie cutter builds that just lead into more frustration when those 1000 gold sets get out of the meta because “We’re losing 5% dps and 4 minutes of speed”.
I still wonder why people still submits to this form of elitism, where they have to set aside their favorite classes in order to participate on a Meta which isn’t really needed…

I will try to explain using my own observations- for I am not a “Pro”..just another happy go-lucky player of a wonderful game .
There are MANY players in video games that feel the NEED to ‘min-max’ everything they do—the “Balls out/ all or nothing/ play gud or get out” sort of personality.
They demand the best in their gaming experience..they want a ‘challenge’ for their time..not a walk in the garden. They create a build..make charts for gosh sakes- map out every second of the mission/raid/dungeon.
These are the creators of the ‘Meta’- they feel it is the best of the best of that type of play style….and that’s the key phrase- their play-style.
We don’t have to be sheeple and bow to this as the ONLY way to play the game.
Corny as it sounds…you can play the way you want in GW2- set a goal for whatever gear, and areas you want to explore.
You don’t have to META…but if you do, go in with an open mind, and never take criticisms personally.
Just my blatherings… just enjoy your free time!

Anet had to go back and redo parts of HoT because too many people wouldn’t go there on a bet. The redo helped. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t eventually have to do something to placate the masses about legendary armor as well.

I’m back with a rather interesting question..my apologies if it seems ‘silly’, but I am curious as to the possible lore to it.
Had the Inquest ever delved into the ‘merging’ of two (or possibly more) species of Tyria, to create a ‘creature’ (other than dragon spawn) that may still be alive?
There is a thread in the forum about ‘inter species’ breeding, and it brought me to ask this question.
I can only imagine something vicious to protect their lab, or something cruel and twisted (like a quaggan/skritt hybrid) to prove their skill in creation.

I would not be patient waiting for armors to be created for so many different races, and separate genders.
I personally like ANet to focus on content, and SLOWLY introduce their items as assigned to the teams that make them.
Outfits are nice, you can wear them over your armour, and they save me from buying transmutation charges to ‘update’ my looks every time I level.
Just my opinion of course.

AB Multi-Map is a merged-oh-so-HoT-topic (see wut I did thar?), Some love it…some hate it…and some don’t know wtf it is.
It IS an effective farm.
It IS a fun map to play on (Auric Basin)
It IS a co-operative Meta that MUST BE completed in order to get Grand Chests at the end.
Is it an exploit? I honestly don’t know- everyone has a different view on how to interpret the ToS/ I leave that research up to ANet- MY loot is actually THEIR loot.
Is it hard to join a multi map? NO
Is it hard to understand the instructions from the commander when you join the squad? well, unless you don’t read or understand the language used on that server- your just not paying attention- that’s your problem….not the commanders or ANET.
Enjoy the game, play the Meta of your choosing- don’t put down one play style someone else may enjoy…find what YOU think is fun, and what farm you need to make your gear the way YOU want it- or armor skins, and pretty weapons. (My downfall on those- love my outfits!)
