I think it’s actually a good thing :one class is good at certain role ,now if only anet could give ele more roles which will be better also make other classes(like war ,guard ,mes) good at something else with the clear weakness unlike rev

Rev is weak to condition damage and unlockable skills. In particular reapers.

I am aware of this , but current rev is really close to a class without CLEAR weakness ,and i didnt want to discuss much about rev balance since its not all i want to say .

BTW “weak to condition damage " on rev is acually “killable to condition damage”.Its not even countered by other classes condi builds .back then before cleanse ire ,war was weak to condition . this is an example of what is a clear weakness .

Its just power creep that anet has thrown condi applications and removals like candy .

Uh, Revenant has almost no removals at all. Your best answers are Infuse Light and Staff 4, with Riposting Shadows helping with Snares.

atm reapers are at the top of the condition game which makes chill the most dangerous condition around

the way i read it you are only allowed to fight within the limits of the capture point but that severely undermines the effectiveness of classes that rely on kiting or long range

i ll tell you as i go
peak performance buff would make stomp/kick worth considering but it would make rampage straight up too strong.

arms adept major traits are a bit too strong to be adept

reworked thick skin is too strong to be adept minor

cull the weak too strong, it should apply weakness on specific actions, not pulse it. (something like on burst skill use)

new adrenal health is also too strong it should be nerfed to provide healing on adrenaline use instead of adrenaline gain

new rousing resilience shouldn’t give fury, protection should be on losing stability stack and be shorter duration (lose 2 stacks gain it twice and so on), the heal should have lower base healing but scale with healing power at least a bit.

new merciless hammer is just too strong, autoattack chain unblockable is ok everything else noway.

burst precision is also too strong change it to remove blind when using a burst skill

savage instinct is also too strong a short duration resistence when entering berserker mode is fine but activating berserker stance is not ok

bloody roar fear is actually a nerf lol you need the taunt to hundredblade the guy you just taunted

come at me bro is ridiculously overpowered everyone complains about revenants 3s taunt of death upon receiving a cc and you give warriors an unblockable version that can be used on keypress ? no, just no.

i get 8 minutes queues, the games are all skewered anyways like a team with 3 thief and a warrior vs druid ele dh reaper thief, and to top it all off i can’t even make that queue time useful by practicing in scrims in my friend’s custom arena because the system demands that you stay in the heart of the mists at all times while queueing

yeah it happened to me as well but so far i haven’t been able to replicate the issue at will.
i believe it might have something to do with experiencing a desync mid taunt, not sure though.

Um. It has 16,243 HP. And that is with Beastmastery.

It’s health pool is split between PVE and PVP like all other pets.

the tab says 2361 vitality isn’t that supposed to scale with hp pool 1:10 ?

lol the bristleback has 3048 thoughness and 23261 hp
it’s basically a warrior with soldier amulet that shots you from 1200 range with a homing hundred blades every twelve seconds.

and it also has a pocket healer by his side(the druid)

it’s a losing battle to try and kill the bristleback, only hope to win is with a cc-chain on the druid

Game is almoset powercleave/healing.
Maps need both teams to split up and fight like 3v3 3v2 1v2 2v2.

A death match would mean a 5v5 aoe spam.
Think no1 would like this ( at least, into Ranked Arena ).

If some1 wants to faceroll, here stronghold comes.

this is the same as saying scrims in wvwvw are all about spamming 1
a 5v5 is about 2 things: how quickly you can switch focus to a new target and how quickly the target can react to the focus.
most people hop into a teamfight and expect the target to drop immediatly, this kind of people usually is the first to drop because they overextend too much, a teamfight progresses slowly unless someone makes some blatant mistake.

which is the same thing the bristleback does
the shards from the bristleback don’t curve after they are shot, it’s the bristleback that rotates to fire in your direction

1v2 if help isn’t on the way it means your team is outnumbering somewhere else, ideally you try to keep point contested and before you die you use a cooldown to get away (IE blink). it takes experience to know when to pull out, if you are not sure you can disengage it’s better to just die on point after holding out as long as possible.

1v3 it depends on minimap, if your team just wiped try to hold on for 10 seconds of respawn timer, if your team is simply somewhere else play the kite game:
depending on the map there are some kiting spots near the point, if you only focus on kiting it will be hard to kill you and you will keep 3 people busy. even if the enemy fully caps the node your teammates will have a chance to gain momentum on the other nodes. just remember to save a cooldown or 2 to disengage.

Last scenario, you died (hopefully on point) while waiting respawn timer check where the enemies go after capping, you can tell your teammates in teamchat where the enemies will go. Check the minimap: can you see all 3 enemies on mid (+ the 2 who just killed you) ? If you see everyone far is free, if you don’t see everyone there is 1 guy holding far. Are there fights going on ? let’s say there is 1v1 far and 3v2 mid while you 1v2 close, if your team has bunkers mid go mid, if your team doesn’t have bunkers mid go far because no chance mid will survive 3v4 without bunkers.

Druid is op too. Before the patch no mesmer build could kill a druid bunker.
now its even weaker.

Shatter Mesmer actually had a chance against Druids, but Mesmer isn’t really the ideal person to kill a Druid. Druids excel in 1v1ing and that is it really. They are weak to conditions and being focused down, so team fights weren’t the best spot for them.
That is the main reason why mesmers were nerfed, because they had few weaknesses compared to Druid.

I quit pvp anyway i check back from time to see if mesmer is useful again.

Fleet Shadow changed to Instant Reflex (gain evasion for 2s when struck below the health threshold –50%, 40s CD). I don´t understand this. Fleet Shadow was wrong in that traitline and never worth taking over other stuff, but adding more passive stuff into the game? ._.

this is the equivalent of engi auto elixir s
it’s supposed to prevent you from getting rekt without noticing

that’s the theory behind this change
however i don’t really see it how useful it is for acrobatics

there was automatic shadowstep already, thief didn’t really need this and the acro line didn’t need it either imo

let’s take a look at other high dmg pets

closest other pet with burst dmg f2 is river drake that does 700 non-crit (/w same build), hits 8 times and does not auto home on target. 32s cd.

then we have birds, birds were nerfed back in the old forgotten days of beastmastery too stronk and had their 4s cd f2 changed from 2,2k dmg to 1,1k

800×15 / 16 = 750 dps
2200 / 4 = 550 dps

i dont see why the balance team would say “dis is ok” to a burst skill that not only is 4 times better than the closest competitor (river drake with half dmg and twice cooldown) but also does more dps than a sustained dmg skill that was nerfed because reportedly too strong.

as i said this is not balance team area, this is marketing team area

imo druid isn’t that great of a carry in diamond
lower divisions yeah, king of 1v1 is good when players dont move much between points, however as you start getting players who rotate a lot you will have more success playing revenant or chrono bunker.
that is, of course, assuming your team already has 1 druid

This is accurate. Big gap between T2 and T3 though and very small gap between T3 and T4.

also 1 more thing i think daredevil deserved bigger gap from berserker

warrior in ranked is sort of a gamble
ofc also depends on build and player
but there are too many situations where war is a bad pick
like enemy team very tanky and your team also very tanky, you get stuck in a 2v2 where they focus you = rip.
or enemy team has smart revenant, revenant on you 24/7 = rip.
or for some reason you need to 1v1 someone = rip

like marauder mesmer you need good team to work.
but you have 0 party utilities unlike mesmer so you cant help team if team not good.

you only better then mesmer when
- enemy team can’t focus you (they all meele) / they dumb and chose not to focus you
- after a good inc your team starts snowballin and you can pick off respawns from 1500 range (with mesmer most of the burst is from up close)

as you can see war is not convenient if you trying to climb divisions
ofc if someone starts namecalling only bcuz you playing warrior they are kitten and you should disregard what they say as kitten, be nice to ppl that always apply

cleric thief doesn’t make sense tho.
you have around 12k hp, you get 7 stacks of burning from outside your sight, you die in exactly 3 seconds.
you don’t really need a burn guard either, any decent d/d ele should be able to force you off point as well.

i understand you like to play thief as an evasive skirmisher but at least go for vitality/thoughness, healing/thoughness doesn’t really work when you share lowest base health with eles and guards.

Please don’t tell me who was top 25 of solo queue that my build was wrong. With the Improvisation build I have around 1.2k health per second regen and around 4 seconds of invulnerability through dodges as pure regen per 10 seconds, way more sustain with the 2nd build but less fun.

your build only worked because you could spam shortbow #3 and be invulnerable.
Back in the days ? apparently you made it work.
Now ? There is an aftercast. This means that you can’t do 3 3 3 3 3 weapon swap roll for initiative 3 3 3 3 3 withdraw dodge dodge 3 3 3 3 3 weapon swap because after the first 3 you get kittened.

Over a lot of games the influence of unexpected things like got carried/got dc/horrible team comp ecc. keeps getting smaller and smaller.
When your spec is better but your win rate is worse (over a lot of games) it means you are less valuable to the team. Your win rate is still positive so you are not dragging the team down but you have a smaller impact on games.

61% with cleric thief back in the days of disabling shot with 0 aftercast makes sense, i suppose he could just push far, keep it contested 1v1 or 1v2 and just keep doing that all game long. even if his team mates lost mid chances are he could resist on far 1vX long enough for them to respawn. Now disabling shot leaves you vulnerable after the evasion so that strategy wouldn’t work.

we don’t know this for certain yet but the system had a “weight” value to games, basically games where odds were stacked against you held a smaller weight than those where you were the favorite contender.

what this means is that a solo player could lose vs premades 3 times 500 – 0 before losing 1 rank point and if the games were close (higher than 300 points – 500) you could keep losing indefinitely without losing points.

i think we are going to see some iteration of that system in place when the leagues hit.

I play engineer and theif mostly. While i think burning is strong i dont think they should nerf it. And IF they do i hope its not that much, because of 1 engi and guards are not immune to burning…they have to deal with it as much as everyone else. 2 i find burn guards extremly easy to kill. You just clense that one kondition they have. 3 any decent necro or confusion theif or mesmer can kill a condi engi without trouble. I dont understand how people can use metabuilds and cry for nerfs at the same time. Look at engi condi meta build…. Firearms…inventions….explosives. Well IF you spec squishy you will die often stop crying.

Good thing I’ve got the tankiest effective Thief build possible.

Tankiest as in armor, HP or condition clense? Since all conditions ignore armor, Raw HP and condi clense is your only option

my bet ? all of those things.
something like acrobatics shadow arts trickery /w sentinel amulet, runes of the adventure and double energy sigil.

this looks very weird, it could be a lag spike, check the death log after you die. you might miss something from the combat log but the death log should have it.

if you believe capture points are never free in high lvl games you are also wrong.

I don’t want Rangers to not be relevant. I’d love for us to stay in a good spot (my second oldest character is a Ranger), as for Necro.
And you may want to check it again, since condi damage is now important and Rengers have a lot of it (not in Druid spec, of course). Reaper is just awesome, so yeah, check again.

But, just to be clear, Druid was in every single group that beat the first raid boss.
That’s a fact. This is not “being relevant”, this is “being mandatory”.
It was the only healer of choice. No other healer could have done the same. If Druid is nerfed then we are screwed. So please just buff other healers and put a cd on Cele Avatar, otherwise the class is just immune to conditions (lol) and it’s “sustained burst” instead of “burst” as intended.

There is a HUGE difference between “in a good spot” and “mandatory”.

I just want a second choice when making a group.

I know at least one group that had no druid and used eles and engys for heal and blast and they beat the boss with it.

I’m surprised they nerfed the hell out of ele burning

they barely grazed it, drake breath 2.5s down from 3s and ring of fire doesn’t apply 3 stacks when you walk through it but it applies 2 stacks on use (which it didn’t apply before).

besides d/d eles still have the upper hand against burn guards in duels, or any guard build actually.

with that said, the explosive potential of burn guards could use a little shaving, in the right conditions it’s way stronger than the old shield of wrath + mighty blow combo.

there is more to it than just weapon swapping

if you weapon swap using your kit keybind it won’t interrupt the spell, this is useful when you want to chain something immediatly after a spell from a kit. It often happens when you swap back to rifle after using pry bar: pry bar lands after you already swapped to rifle.

if you weapon swap using your weapon swap keybind it will interrupt the spell, this is useful when you want to make someone waste dodges on obvious casts. This can also be used to land charged shot as most people won’ t dodge twice in a row.

From an enemy point of view the 2 above look almost the same, you swap out of a kit mid cast and proc weapon swap sigils, however in case 2 magnet will stop, in case 1 it will keep casting.

Lastly the ESC key will also interrupt your cast but it won’t show you swapping out of the kit, this means you can fake cast magnet into prybar (unless vs ele cuz he will blind you on dodge like a pro) and you don’t waste sigil swapping.

It’s situational, sometimes you want the cast to keep going after a swap, sometimes you want the cast to stop and weapon swap sigils to proc, sometimes you just want to stop the cast without activating anything.

necromancers with signet of vampirism don’t remove conditions, they transfer them.
a medi guard could zaelot fire + judge intervention + virtue of justice active for 7 stacks, then double dodge away from line of sight or use renewed focus.

a condi engi with flamethrower does more or less the same thing with incendiary ammunition, you only need to land 2 hits, the third hit will activate with geomancy/doom when you use elixir s.

ofc this is only valid in 1v1 situations and it’s not complete autopilot, for example if the necro expects it he could use locust swarm to transfer your conditions back with the crits from the locusts + passive plague signet.

in teamfights you could get lucky, the necro tries to transfer to you and misses, or you could get unlucky if he sees it coming and transfers it back to someone else,

anyway the point still stands, the standard signet build isn’t this almighty condi fighter that many make it out to be.

you can kill marauder amulets with 1 double hitting kill shot

i believe killshot should be able to kill marauder amulets if they are around 10k hp, killing someone from 20k hp is too much.

healdruid is extremely effective in premades, one second everyone is almost dead and one blinding powder later druid healed everyone back to full.

Power druid looks uber strong in 1v1 situations and overall very good even in solo q.
you punish stacking on point almost harsher than reaper, aoe daze + ancient seed + slow is brutal

..ok..I just purchased a second copy/acct of gw2 and activated it…all is well…purchased gems through the gem store/ BLT for my new characters…all is well….now I try to exchange gems for gold to spend in the store…and it says “this feature is disabled, pls come back later”….is it me, or something wrong at Anet? Or just a temporary down thing?

last time I checked eula multiaccs where forbiden and permabannable…..

Who in there right mind would ban someone for buying another copy of your game?

If you used fake data upon creating your second account you went against the license agreement.

Which is unrelated to your case but still worth noting, account sharing is strictly forbiden by the license agreement.

legitimately owning more than one account is allowed. Account termination affects all accounts licensed to you at the time of the infringement but doesn’t forbid you from obtaining a new iteration of the license (aka buying a new account afterwards). Also worthy of note is the fact that you are not technically buying the game, you are being given a license to use it, this means that you are not entitled to sell your account and doing so is a bannable offense.

Oh, almost forgot about section 8. Prohibited and irreparably harmful activities concerning ncsoft paragraph h commas i and ii:
Be a party to any commercial activity related to the Game, including but not limited to:

I find this funny, how come you don’t want more content ? I mean I would understand if you just said “I don’t like raids” but how come the simple presence of raids will make you turn down the expansion ? It’s not like you will be forced to do them anyway, it’s something that will be there for those who are intrested without getting in the way of those who are unintrested.

So, mind enlightening me ?
