Look and act, I can confirm. He’s fantastic.

I saw a huge norn run past me not too long ago named,
‘Buff McLargeHuge’.
That made me chuckle a bit, but what really got me laughing was when, shortly after, a carbon copy of him ran past named,
‘Buff McHugeLarge’.

A while back when porting into LA, saw a warrior sylvari named: Faceplant doing the forward gs skill charge. I chuckled abit.

I rant into a Norn tonight in MKL, named Nigel Nornbeary

I laughed… outloud.

I made some temp chars a while back for each race to get the racial PS achievements and I had joke names for some of them:
sylvari – Craves Electrolytes
asura – Too Tall For My Age
norn – Ima Pretty Flower (hugest fattest pinkest male mesmer)

Also, my key farming character was always called Totally Not Farming.

I had a thief named IStoleUrPanties but i was told to change it :/ i was so proud of her too

i use to have a toon named Drunk Potato but i was asked to change it .. something that still confuses me to this day .. but whatever i read the naming rules and didnt see it was against but whateveeeeeeeeeerrrrrz

I was going to name a green Sylvari ‘Jalapeno Popper’. Apparently, its an inappropriate name.

Well, I happen to like Arcos Shiningpaw … part of the Shiningpaw Family.

I saw a sylvari Engineer named Kabloomium which made me chuckle. I also, saw a pet drake named Nathan Drake.

I renamed my War named Whirling Axe to Justiciar Amilyn. Thought that was pretty cool myself. Also have a Guardian named Healing Burst.

On my ranger, I named my pet jaguar X K Eight.

The “best names thread” is filled with puns (many of them being more “hurr durr” to me than terribly clever) and references to characters from other media.

I am a sucker for beautifully designed, lore-conform, non-immersion-breaking names. Some people clearly put a lot of effort in them, and the characters’ backstories can shiny through.
Occasionally I see a character with such a name and /bow in admiration.

To each their own, I suppose.

Yes, to each their own. You stick to your lore-spawn names, they’ll stick to their puns, and I’ll stick to the only name that matters: Zera.

also have a Sylvari thief named Deadly Nightshayde. i know... i know... >groan< so original, rite?... asura engi named Aggie Hetrodyne, a norn warrior (as big as possible of course) with all kind of crazy pastel dye colors named Fruit Loop Warrior.... and the most recent addition to my stable of silliness.. a male human ranger (going with a longbow power build) with white hair and pale skin, using black dye and silver paludrons, and Belinda’s greatsword skin... Sniperoth (>GROAN!!< )

course then again in another game i had a bard named Pointless Waste of Time and a rogue/thief named Pickt da’Locks (and a BUNCH of really silly pet names). i love mah punny names

Butfart Burnfur, if you played Guild Wars Prophecies, you might understand where that name is inspired from. =D

I’ve been complimented in-game for having a Norn thief named Mrs McSharknuggets.

Haven’t seen a name in this game that I remember as standing out, though I do run with names off, and have to hold ALT down to see anyone, or happen to see the name because they are chatting.

However, my favorite all time character name was one I saw in LotRO on Brandywine named ‘Do’. Which, isn’t terribly interesting in and of itself until you pair it with a specific ‘suffix’ title, which this person immediately sought out and was the whole reason for the name. The title being: ‘the Naughty’

The BEST literary name in MMO naming history: Female sylvari necromancer- Salvia Plath.

Norn Ranger “Blackgate Legend” or something like that, and his pet “Blackgate scout” he moved to fast in Silverwastes for me to see.
