ive played many mmos in the past, GW2 is probably the best mmo out there, main factors for me are the fallowing

• not pay2win, you can get the basic items easy and u can compete well
• every1 have same items in pvp
• events are probably best ive seen in a mmo
• very easy to get max level, just go in wvw and fallow the zerg.

i see so its near 30gb ok thanks, so thats 20gb moore for me at 300kb/s -_-

so im an old player, i quited this game like 1 year ago or so. So i wanted to play gw2 and test my new i7 6700k on this game since i know gw2 is CPU heavy, to mi disgusting surprise my download is at 4% only when I already downloaded 8gb, right now im debating if worth to download or not.

Whats the total game space? last time i had it it was 20gb now based on download % is near 400gb?

PPL needs to realise all MMORPGs are CPU intensive mainly because UNITS PER SCREEN is called MASSIVE MORPG for a reason, and is the CPU job to render and calculate them all. Shure gw2 engine have its limitations but GPUs are not ment to calculate but to draw. Shure there might be some Nvidia technology that allows the GPU to do some CPU jobs but is not realy possible 100%.

The multi threading is other story. But even if made on dx12 the game would still rely on ur CPU mainly, thats wny you never buy AMD crap. Better have 4 good cores than 8 useless ones.

If it cost them $50 to buy it off of ANet, losing $25 is better than losing $50, if they don’t end up selling all of the keys before HoT gets discontinued.

shops dont buy and resell, shops gets paid by publishers or providers for letting their products to be sold in the shops, the more sales the more gain for the shop, the price is setup by the provider or publisher not the shop.

glad that i did not buy HoT yet, ok make kitten harder and on top of that the new maps are very iregular and you need to “glide” seriously….. im intrested only in ranger and guardian, druid just dumb only worthless healing skills, dragonhunter is “meh” traps traps traps not realy worth anything in pvp or wvw, Talking about wvw the new maps are realy bad wich 90% killed wvw at least in my server, fractals? same boring thing as before, dosent realy worth doing higher level fractals since the rewards are bad at all levels. Grind for new skills that I want to get if I buy HoT? no thx.New legendaries? dungen gold nerfed so pointless.

Only things I liked so far are the new tonics, the new ranger pet, and the guild hall. But I wont buy HoT just for that, those things should be in the Vanilla game in the first place and some tipe of GvG with a global map with castles, so team pvp in this game would mean something.

I used to main a guardian, but now I main a ranger, why? is simply the best pvp wvw and pve character for me.

Longbow does alot of damage, and recently from last year or so they made the new skills that makes you bigger and even more damage. Dont know other classes but I think Ranger have the most DPS output out there.

If you manage to keep away ur enemy from you, you can be goodlike, and in the new expansion you can get a new small dragon as pet wich is very cool.

I have over 2 years playing gw2, I wont get the expansion. I only have 2 characters and realy dont need anything. For pvp or wvw I only enjoy my ranger full crit, does alot of damage, for dungens i use my guardian, even at level 50 of fractals I dont die and only 30 ar.

HoT is all about grind and I guess you cant even finish alone the maps and main story, is a no no for me.

Well, you could spend 20 minutes in Dry Top doing the sandstorm events and come out with 4 gold worth of Coarse Sand to sell on the Trading Post, along with whatever else drops along the way (hi, Charged Lodestones!).

You can unlock the Itzel village waypoint in Verdant Brink and glide down from there to the Flax farm on the jungle floor, harvest the eight nodes, and make 1-2 gold depending on how lucky you are with the results.. then repeat on every character you have.

There’s lots of options available to you, you just have to look for them.

20 min for 4 gold with an anoying event in wich you need to pickup crap :|, at least dungens were not so annoying and could also get tokens to buy exotics and salvage for exoplasm.

before I could get 10g or 15g per day doing cof routes and serveral fractals and tqualm, after I finished my legendary sunrise i took a break of 3 mounths, Now i cant get anything and im left with 11 gold, at this rate I wont have enough gold to use the portals on the maps…………….

srsly why remove the daily 1,50 gold from dungens it will only encorage ppl to buy gold from the chinese botters -_-

So I cant buy only the expansion, i think ill passs. I buyed the original game for 40$, anet logic expansion$>original game$, probably it have less content than vanila game also.

seriously they nerf the pathetic 1g per dungen route? fractals are extreamly boring and not rewarding after you did them like +200 times.

is this new expansion worth getting?

Last time I played was bored to death by the game, wvw was for me “meh run like a tar*”, only thing I like is build balistas,catapults,etc but are waste of time since it costs too much to build and easy to destroy, I abused Ranger so much in pvp that i got bored to death, main story line was so repetitive that I could not stand it. Dungens were ok not so boring as fractals.

Im not interested in making new characters since I only like guardian and ranger. So is worth getting?, I liked the PVE event that we had to kill 6 boses and 1v1 against other minibosses, forgat the name of event, was entertaining and gived decent rewars, things like this I would like to see in the exp.

Dont think im total noob, played alot the game and managed to get 1 legendary, but after the mat grind I was sick of the game and realy could not stand it anymore, so im just asking if is worth.

Main reason I dont play and I wont bother with the expansion is the fact the game is becoming extreamly boring and I realy miss healer,tank,dps roles. In gw2 all classes are dps even guardian and for me wvw and pvp is to boring since it dosent require organized team to be succesfull just run after comander or similar crap.

I realy miss those games with Priest,archer,etc classes, gw2 is just too boring for me, unfortunatly all those games are pay2win.

ascended gear is meh not even worth the effort, so much time gold and materials for so small stat increase. Im happy with my exotic gear. Ascended rings,back and accesory are easy to get so meh.

can u guys stop beeing so lame, there are many ppl using it and they r not banned. All im asking is for a admin/mod to lookinto my ban say the reason since writing tikets is usless, thats all.

heh, seems ppl dont know what is GW2CM, is not a cheat just enables u to play whidout having to hold right click to see arroud……

I know many ppl use it, so I heavily doubt my ban comes from there even admins were talking about it in the guru site…

I only loged once in a while and have a chat in map chat whidout any obcene words or slurs, buts seems in spanish server ppl are too sensible and spam u reports at slighest thing they dont like. If you find any slurs or obcene words in chat logs please post them, im realy corious , I did had similar bans in the past where 1 guild leader told his +60 guild members to spam report on me “just for fun” as I remember he say.

I did open a ticked and it sayd in the blablabla “detection” and more blablabla confusing text, I only used GW2CM 1.1 in order to controll better the character since in this game controlls are so bad overall. Thanks you.

I would like to return too but…., wvw seems is same thing run run run, pvp is boring and lack of realy competitive play for normal players just makes me meh…. and megaserver are same cra.p, and still cant join my clanmates in tqal or other bosss unless I spam “click to join” like a kitten 20 mins and pray for som1 to disconect….

ive played almost 1 year this game and I dont play it anymore since is boring, Rewards are OK for me, in other mmorpgs is alot alot alot harder to get ur equipment and currency, gw2 in this aspect is easymode except the precusor thing.

the fact that there is not any tipe of competitive gameplay wich includes clans makes this game very boring for me,the sounds and music is very repetitive lowquality and anoying wich reminds me of some lame mmorpgs, PVE is boring as hell two with white items u can kill everything and do all dungends wich is lame and fractals made me so bored that i stoped playing this game.The sory line is cool but too easy to complete and donset give any decent reward, and after that game over for PVE unless u want farm dungens and become a zombie and get bored and annoyed to death like happed to me.

had like 1500 gold by farming 10 dungends+tqual daily during 4 mouths or so.Bought Dawn and maths now i got my sunrize and 100g left and realy dont care about gold anymore, One thing I like about this game is that with 70g or so u can get 10€ worth of gems and buy a cool costume or a toy, and is realy easy to get 70g if ur active.

1º wake up and take a dump
2º play some warthunder games
3º play some lol games
4º work on my projects abit
5º playing more lol or warthunder
6º log in gw2 stare at my sunrize for 5 min and go sleep.

ive finaly finish my sunrize and im happy but I have the bad feeling that som1 with alot of money can get it in less than 1 minute, while I had to struggle and farm gold for mounths wich is not fair yes is just a cosmetic item but it leaves a bad taste that rich ppl can get it just like that, and the fact that I can only equip it with 1 character only leaves a bad taste too.

Music for me is very inportant in games, serveral good soundtracks with operas and stuff like that could make a Boring game in a Boringless game, sadly in gw2 music is awfull,repetitive and annoying.Should be 1 unique soundtrack for everymap, to actualy make this game exciting, at least in terms of pve…

so far ive played all important games out there and only 1 or 2 had decent music.From the milions of € they win each mounth they could sipt a few €and hire an opera/orchstr to make epic soundtracks

things like this makes a game great and even if the Game is a failed product like homm4 was it still enjoyfull to play due relaxing music.

I think i will spend my laurels to make the landstones this way I would save like 70g, 60 laurels not gona bring many t6s anyway, if im not rong, best way to get t6s is the clover thing, I did 320 of x1 recipie and gived me almost 100 of all t6s except the venom+scale and like 90 clovers, no want the x10 since I can get orich,leather and other non wanted things and u can lose precious ectos and skill points and is the same thing anyway. I have enough skillpoints for other 250 tryes so i will farm ectos for a week and hopefull I will end up with at least 180 or so of each t6s

getting a legendary is the only thing that keeps me playing this game, hopefull this friday my server will be blue in wvw and ill get all map.

Pve is not enjoyfull at least not for me since I only think in getting gold for my legend and that keeps me from enjoying pve,in order to get the gold/ectos i need to dedicate my time for 6 dungen runs daily, fractals was cool at first, after 2 times is annoying and boring, and after +100 is disgusting, and u have the sensation that the game forces u to do the same annoying dungen again and again and again till u cant take it anymore.
Probably after I get sunrise will go back playing lol or warthunder. With the lineageIII and more mmos coming, dont think gw2 will have any future in this state, the the gems store is good and i like it since it dosent have any p2w items and you can easy get 100 gold and buy a suit or anything u want.

same happend to me at first, got other ring identical to the other dident knew that I cant use 2 of same tipe, good thing i only wasted 10 pristine relics

Guild HALL is what this game needs, an area for guilds to make houses,statues,etc that gives bonus things or crafting stations,guild personal mistic forge, and such, this would be usefull alot.

other player non guild player can still visit the X guild hall if is opened to public and such….., is not hard to make it just a map+objects+ssql coding, loved it in eden eternal.

but gw2 is lacking stuff that all other decent MMOs have.

ya but im afraid only of skill points only, i have like 520 on one character and 120 on other. The clovers + landstones+t5s no know if with 440 will be enough, and skill points are even even harder to obtain i guess.

hmmm, i have Dawn, some 1.6milion karma,almost 500skillpoints and about 750g, will be enough for Sunrise¿ i have almost 2 stack of orich ignots and ectos and almost 50 of every t6m, have like 15 landstones alrady only from fractals, now im waiting for wvw maps to complete so I start making it.

my guild mate keeps saying make the 10x 77 clover first so I get t6s too but no know if with 300skillpoint+1m karma will be enought to reach 250 on each stack and 77clover.

new maps for wvw? no thanks, unless they dont put more vistas or pois inside enemy castles.New players, especialy on low servers will need +999999999 years if luck to complete map.

only thing that bothers me is that server color is based on Rank, wich is not fair and sould be random so all servers can complete map, have luck that im in a server that goes from 2º to 13º or lower and viceversa, cant imagine the pain in servers like Desolation where they are allways first and green.

1º color rotation is totaly based on Server rank wich is totaly unfair for ppl in this game.
2º server transferr costs €
3º ppl forced to pay € if they had bad luck and chosed a bad wvw server

easy solution to make ppl happy is to make color change randomly each reset, not depending or server Rank, but I guess is a good € income for anet or nsoft and wont gona let it go.

im a newbie as a Ranger, played as main guardian and I can say that longbow ranger is abit opish in pvp imo, climb to a spot where they cant reach you and abuse the 1500 range with the +10k crits(i dont bother cap or whatever since is PVP not “rush the forking map” as aNet wants, thats why we need deathmach not this cr4p of pvp), they try come to you? push em down and laugh at them,a thief try to ruin you? use the doble axe 5 for 8k crit and switch to longbow for other 10k, I realy enjoy ranger in pvp while I realy hate guardian now.

I always abuse the range of ranger/hunter class in mmos, is their best wepon, the key of succeding with ranger imo is to never allow ur enemy to reach you if you master that ull be OP and annoying as fork. Many ppl say that bow rangers are usless, If I wanted a mele dps I would go warrior in the first place, but yes im with OP the ranged wepons of warriors should do less damage. Warriors should be abit tunned down, now they have more HP than a guardian and most DPS in the game, not to mention serveral defensive skills that only the guardian should hav them in the first place.

unfortunatly Gw2 is not a solid mmo, there is no counters to some skills of certan clasess, take invisibility for example, in 99% of the mmos the ranger/hunter class are the ones specialized to counter that, here they do jack shlte in this game, a thief can sneak arround you whidout any risk at all.

dont understand why this game dosent have a GvG yet, would make this game alot more competitive, the “invite ur friends” thing is not even close to that.

should make the achivment abit harder and give all ppl 1 mistforged or 2 hero wepon at least if complete and at the end of seeson get the server ranking prize as now.

the achivment was so easy I did not even know how or when I completed, I just leveled my ranger into edge of mists and after a while i saw i hav all completed and just lol.

baruch bay is 2º and i got 450, so i guess 1º desolation got 500

i want the greatsword and the axe has only 450 -_-

in wiki it says " Mistforged Hero’s weapons are a set of exotic weapons" and you can buy it for 300 tickets, so that means is serveral wepons? or only 1?

I dont like it, before when I leveled my guard by exploring maps and complete missions since it was good enough and you could feel the progresion and was very cool and no needed to spend any gold to get my traits so i could totaly try crazy builds for free whidout beeing stressed to pay gold or to do somshlt, when ur a newbie u barely have 5 gold in total when ur first character is 80 so paying for traits is a big stepback at least for new ppl.

and i tryied to level my ranger the same way, to explore and missions but is not the same thing, plus Im forced to pay gold or to do some events in UNEXPLORED maps in order to get my tratis wich is fustrating, so i decided to skip everything and level in edge of mists for a few days, since I could not test my ranger till 80.

for new ppl is very bad this new trait system since they cant go in unexplored maps and they dont have gold basicaly you force them to do unwanted stuff in order to get the traits, it reminds me of bad mmos who force you to pay 99999999999999999999999999 golds or to farm a boss with very low rate to get ur skill or buy it with real money.

hey there I just upgrade my PC and have 2 minor doubts if you can help i would apreciate.

So my old build was :

cpu anthlon x4 640 3ghz
4 gb ddr2 667
gtx+ 9800 1024ddr2

game was playabl, I could do anything in gw usualy in dungens,www and tqual had like 15-40 fps with evetything at min.

I recived the parts today and my new build is this :

i5 3470 3.2ghz, ingame Turbo is on at 3.6ghz
kingston 8gb 1600, i check serveral times in bios and cpuz and it runs at 1600
have the same gtx+ 9800 1024ddr2

right now i experience a hole new game, with all at minimum I hav like 115 fps and with everythig at medium to high 60-80 fps, did not tryed tqual or any zergs yet.I could even skip buying new grafic card since it works that well, but I want to complete the build.

So my 2 questions are :

is the asus 760gtx+ will do fine with this build? i wont go AMD, tired of amd and realy never again.
is ok for the i5 3470 to go 67º ingame? i did used my old artic freezer 7.2 pro since works for 1155 cpus aswell with artic mx2 thermal past

so ive search over internets and i only finded that you can only infuse them, oke. But you can use the ruby jewel in an ascended amulet?

so ive researched more and I think I get it, the asscended amulet/ring/acesorie is better than any exotic trinket+its jewel.

im realy a newb and realy confused if I should think in crafting so do crafting asscended wepon/armor worth the time and the gold? atm I think only backpice/rings/acces/amulet is worth. Ive looked the armors and wepons and they only give like 5-6 stats more compared to the exotics. And not thinking in dooing more fractals in the future since dredge is very annoying and anti-fun for me, once ive got the rings and backpice for my characters im done with it. I saw that there is www infusions wich but are those infusions so important to be decent in www? anyway thanx.

If people think this game is grindy, they have never played:
EVE Online (OMG the grind in this game), Ragnarok Online, World of Warcraft, RIFT, AION, or… Well, basically any other MMO on the market, past or present.

ive played RO since 2004, on iRo and similar private servers with x1 x1 x2 and I can enshure you that GW2 grind is 99999999999999% more boring. In Ro you had decent ambient,music,spells,monsters,etc, and most important for me woe was one of the best war system ever in any mmorpg there u had to defend or attack the castle and using brains not like in Gw2 where u just run like a sheep after ur comanter and spam keys.

I remember farming hundreds of yggs daily with my priest on a x1 x1 x2 server and was not even close as boring as in gw2 and pve in gw2 is a joke compared with Ro.

Only thing that annoys me to death, is that Im obligated to explore the map again with new character if I want to do specific events, like guild missions on my new charcater…., since i cant kittening go where my guild mates are unless i WALK LIKE A kitten thro all maps wich is inposible anyway for low level characters….

Not to mention the www vistas and pois in enemy castles….. great kittening idea mr developer to annoy ppl to death.

ull need buy a 1155 or a 1150 motherboard depending of ur i5 cpu, ur currently have an am3+ motherboard wich is not compatible with intels.

I decided to not go for amd anymore since I realy hate them, ive been with amd cpus all my life and never satisfied in mmos with them

So ill go like this

cpu : i5-3470 3.2Ghz
gpu : EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti SuperClocked
and some mob with some 1866 ddr3 if possible if not 1600.

will this run crownded areas at decent fps all maxed at 1440×900? xd
