There are a few other general changes to daily achievements. There will be a limit of 10,000 daily and 5,000 monthly achievement points, rotations have been updated, and several relevant achievements have been updated to function in PvP.
What does this mean? :O

Pretty sure the timer for this achievement starts when the knights spawn.
So to qualify for it you have to kill them in 1 minute (since the first 5 minutes after their spawn they just idle around).
Look at this screen from reddit-user snyler:
Green died in <1 minute there and some people got the achievement.
The achievement clearly reads defeat all six knights after the EVENT starts, not when they spawn. The event window does not even pop up until on the hour. They probably received the achievement just like all the other people who have received the bugged version, by chance. Doing it under a minute is probably only coincidence.

Anet doesn’t have a group of testers competent enough to actually do something like kill the knights under 6 minutes, so they can’t actually comb through the bugs they introduce.
That to me is one of the funniest parts. It is so clear that Anet actually never even internally tested to see if obtaining it was even possible. If they did, they would realize the AP is not awarded correctly.

I have no words for this……why implement something if it can’t be done properly? You put in a difficult achievement that is TIME sensitive. Two nights in a row we are successful and not awarded this PITA AP. You had people randomly acquiring the AP for killing a random knight, not even meeting the criteria, but when it is killed legitimately, 140+ people get completely screwed. How can this still be bugged AFTER it was reported last night and somehow did not make the patch this evening?

Thanks for the quick reply sirsquishy. Both of those settings were already set to Medium, so I dropped them down to Low. I would prefer not to play at Lowest just because I would rather not see people as generic colored soldiers. Any other changes that would help reduce the amount of memory being used without really affecting the look of the game?
And with the game only ever seeing 3.25 GB of ram, is there any reason to set a higher page file or will it not even be used?
I’ve been having constant OOM crashes during zergs in WvW, particularly after the latest LS update. I have searched the forums and almost all suggestions are “upgrade to 64 bit OS.” As you can see from my crash report, not only do I have a 64 bit OS, but I have 16 GB of memory and over 30 GB for my page file size. I can’t even begin to believe the game is somehow pulling that much memory as my laptop with 4 GB of ram NEVER experiences these issues. I have attempted a repair for the game as well. Any suggestions would be much appreciate.

Ranger is the obvious choice, I mean….come on….
Ya, WvW is when this usually occurs, during huge zerg battles or even during wurm attempts.
I am having the exact same crashes and have attempted the same fixes as above via repairing the client and deleting my cache. Below is my error report:

You lose every incompleted daily achievement points, any others can be done in the future. Only from daily and monthly you actualy lose if you didn’t completed. You will never get it back, so for achievement hunters every daily counts.
Exactly. You have time to do the other achievement points. Missing dailies means missing AP that you will never have a chance to get back. I would rather have a permanent “Win 1 million solo queue matches” than dailies simply because I can work on them at my own pace. If I want to do 10 games one night and then not set foot in the mists for a whole week, I can do that without getting set behind. I want the AP system to be based on more permanent additions instead of just increasing the amount of dailies dished out each day. If I want to take a week, month, or even year break, why can’t I come back and mop up everything I missed? Seems much more reasonable.
I find it funny people think TOP 100 achievement hunters are PVE players. Obviously they have no clue about this game because you cannot get that high without investing a significant amount of time in WvW and PvP.
Exactly. It is mind boggling how people seem to think AP hunters are all “PvE heroes.” There is a significant amount of AP’s tied to all aspects of the game and AP hunters dabble in everything equally. If they were to stick solely to PvE, I guarantee they would not be in the top 100.
If you don’t care for the achievement points leaderboards, there is absolutely no reason for you to post in this thread. There are people out there who do, and I’d be very surprised if any of them would go out and support this. I am a dedicated sPvP player aswell as an achievement hunter. And for all it’s worth I wouldn’t mind more achievement points available in sPvP, but in permanent categories rather than dailies. tbh. By the time you get any of these “optional” dailies you will already have your daily complete anyway so the only reason I can see for it being added is to add more achievement points into the daily cycle. It makes no sense whatsoever to do so. It doesn’t add anything of value to the sPvP community and it just adds alot of frustration and annoyance to the achievement hunting community.
Exactly this. There is ZERO value added with this change, whichever side you are on. Dedicated sPvPer’s are going to see an influx of non PvP players who are attempting to get these new dailies. Dedicated AP hunters are now going to have to spend a ridiculous amount of additional time in order to obtain these as well. I don’t see anyone winning in this scenario.
This is beyond ridiculous. I am utterly speechless. My complete excitement for everything this patch has to offer went out the window the moment I opened my achievements tab.
From my PoV, I like that there’s more daily options available to get some chests faster, sometimes I do just 5 dailies, sometimes I do more depending on what’s available, I don’t understand why this should be taken away just because some people lack self-control.
If the only problem is lack of self-control in some people, then why, as someone up there suggested, not make say… 300 dailies available each day? If only good things come from more choices, why not? And why were dungeon runner and salvager achievements capped (they were infinite at launch)? What was the reason if supposedly the only possible problem would be lack of self-control of some people to salvage 10,000 items per day?
Why not 300? Pretty good suggestion, I hope Anet takes it into consideration, as I assume that part of the post was directed at them, not me.
Why did they decided to cap dungeon runner and agent of entropy? Also pretty good question, I hope Anet answers you that one.But what I’m stating is directed at you (plural), the people who are suggesting a cap to daily AP not because we gain too much AP, but because you’re “feeling tired of grinding”. I’m not sure why you’re asking me about previous decisions taken by the devs, when neither of us know their reasons.
The problem with these suggestions aren’t just the suggestions themselves, but also the reasons behind them.
I think the reasons they did not do something like that are pretty obvious. As it stands, they only have rewards up to 25k AP. People could achieve that sitting in LA spam clicking salvages for hours straight. Same with having a huge amount of available AP each day. At 300 a day, people would get all their chest rewards in a matter of weeks.
However, if they added a TON of daily APs, there would be a chance, and the competition would be more interesting as people would have to optimize their AP/hours played.
Which means those of us at the top get to stay at the top for longer. Do you really think we haven’t optimized our AP/hours played?
As it is, you just do them all. It’s time consuming, of course, but doable. I’m talking about adding so many more daily APs that it’s not possible to do them all. You’d have to think about which ones to do — making the whole “competition” far more interesting.
Could you imagine the amount of daily tasks they would have to add in order to accomplish this? We are talking about 100’s for some people. Screw the rotation, just have every single achievement available each day. /sarcasm That is just a horrible idea that benefits no one.
Would the commander system be functional enough with more markers, guild only tags, less suppression, better supplyinfo, and possibly additional marker shapes?
I think this would add so much more functionality than in its current state and would be a much welcome change for the WvW community. This also adds so much more diversity in terms of tactics and would really create a much more dynamic flow of play. This would allow multiple, much more organized groups, to accomplish different goals simultaneously. I think these things are basic enough that the added functionality would go a long way in keeping people happy until the bigger additions can come into play.
Adminir, Ive read your post, most I think. Seems pretty level headed imo. I may not agree with everything. But reasonable comments. I certainly cannot say that about myself. To often I let frustration dictate what I write, when its not called for.
I appreciate your words daniel and I hopefully don’t come off as trying to bash you, in particular, through any of my points. Everyone has their own opinions and no one is either right or wrong when it comes to how they personally feel. Writing with frustration can come off as writing with passion, both are equally acceptable when speaking about something you feel strongly about.
e pluribus Unum
The same thing could be said about suggestions in a majority of threads in this forum. Normally I do not post in the forums simply because I do not believe my voice will be heard. After the recent announcements and changes (Flamekissed Armor, Account Bound WxP come to mind), I generally believe Anet is listening to their player base, which has prompted me to change my habits and try to be vocal about issues I feel strongly about.
(edited by Adminir.8140)
@linuxotaku, liked your response and it makes sense. As I said, I am in no way opposed to a cap. I’m opposed to why (some) want a cap. To deny others what they have been doing for months, because they are tired of the grind. To blame anet for something, when it is within them to not grind.
I agree rewards should be on par with content. But other than grinding towards a chest what other reward is there for chasing ap? Reading some of the post it sounds like they are saying “anet help me, because I cant help myself”
If people really want a cap, imo the cap should be retroactive. I’ve only seen a few comments that agreed with that. How many would be willing to give up points through a move like this?
It seems “now” they want a cap. There was a time when some didn’t but would be more than happy with one now.
I guess my biggest complaint is the double standard so many have.
Sure I agree there are flaws in the system, but if anet cleaned it up in a manner that is fair to ALL players. Most people wanting a change would be crying till doomsday.
Done, take all my extra points. I would gladly pay this price.
Those who go to forums to complain are often referred to as a “vocal minority,” and many people only come to the forums when they want to complain. One thing we don’t know is how many among those who do all the dailies all the time are not coming to the forums because they enjoy the system the way it is. In other words, if a cap were put in, would these people suddenly descend on the forums and demand the cap be removed — and if so, how many are there?
There have already been quite a few people who are among the top AP hunters who have come to this thread and voiced their opinion that they would welcome this change. I have multiple friends who are in the top 100 who are starting to tire of the continuous grind and who fume to me whenever more mindless grinding AP’s are added.
So what you are saying is, a cap does not negatively effect anyone in anyway? If a majority of people are only doing the necessary 5 dailies for their laurel every single day, all this is doing is creating an even larger AP gap between those and the ones at the top. Achievement points should be awarded for completing difficult tasks and that is what should differentiate those with lots and those with less, not if they completed the optional dailies or not. When a full set of dailies (including the optional ones) award almost the same AP as Liadri hard mode(Light up the Darkness), something is wrong and this needs to be addressed. A cap would not negatively effect the majority of people who don’t go for the optional ones, but it would greatly reduce the amount of time spent doing dailies for those AP hunters. This would be a huge QoL addition for us, while reducing the huge gaps in achievement points.
Some of this just repeats what I said, in different words. The AP’s are meaningless as you said. They award time spent doing extra dailies, not any actual difficult task completed.
You assume the people doing the bare minimum for laurels care about the gap between them and the highest. If they’re not doing it, they probably don’t. I don’t care where I am on leaderboards and have never looked, because they are meaningless. PvE leaderboards are a joke at best as they stand with no real challenging content to get on the leaderboards for. And I don’t care what other people have for AP’s either. I get its enjoyable for some people to farm them, but to me it’s just a number that carries no weight to it. With a huge portion of AP’s coming from zerg-based living story temporary content too, no one close to the top now has a chance in hell of catching up.
If the AP’s awarded were all based on doing harder content, like Liadri in your example, maybe they would carry weight and matter. But they don’t.
If there was to be a cap on daily AP’s at 5………what about living story based AP’s? Once they’re gone, thats it. You’re screwed and can never get those either. May as well drag them into the mix here as well.
I get the AP’s for the chests, nothing more.
I am 100% OK with no LS achievements except for the select difficult ones. Things like the Queens Gauntlet or even the Toxic Hybrid. (I know was not very challenging, but something along those lines) I would even be fine with dailies not awarding any achievement points, because let’s be honest, gathering 20 things or completing 5 events is not in any way, shape, or form skillful. I personally feel like the achievement system is broken, mainly because AP’s go away if they are not completed when they need to be. Missed this LS or that one, you are forever behind. Missed a full set of dailies for your best friends wedding, well, too bad, those are gone forever. WoW or Rift have excellent achievement systems. They award unique titles, pets, mounts, even looks (Challenge modes) and you can complete them whenever you want at your own pace, without worrying about missing out. Come back to WoW 2 years down the road and all previous AP are still available.
More achievements the better, I really want that 10K chest.
You will get there regardless. Then what? “I really want the 15k chest.”
“This would be equivalent to my demanding everyone be limited to only two hours a day of play because that’s all I can play. I’m sure that would kitten quite a few of you off…”
Is it the same though? Everyone would get X pts a day if they completed it. It’s not limiting in the sense that you can’t continue to play you just don’t earn APs from more dailies.
It would certainly make a lot of players unhappy I think though.
If you step back and think about it, it very much is.
The argument presented in regards to AP is the people that do all of the dailies, every day, to keep their AP high now no longer want to do them all to keep their lead/rank/whatever. They want to limit it for everyone, so they can do less work, but still retain what they have. Where as, should they opt to slack off (which is what they want to do for a myriad of reasons) and others keep doing all the extra points (because they have the desire and motivation to do so), will eventually catch up and steal those upper ranks. Which they don’t want.
In my scenario, its the same general idea, only in the opposite direction. I want to catch up (and am willing to work my tail off to do it), where as in the case of high ranking AP holders they don’t want people to catch up but aren’t willing to continue to put in the effort. In my example I use playable time, which is a huge factor, and since people that can play extensively have the advantage, the only way to negate that advantage would be to force everyone to the same amount of time. For the AP hunters, the enforcement of a daily cap would allow them to retain their leads more easily, with less work, and force their competition into more work to find additional alternatives to catch up.
I suppose you could compare it to schools that have highly competitive sports teams. Some teachers will give the students on the sport teams A’s automatically, whether they do their work (well or otherwise) or not. Where as students that aren’t on the sports teams have to earn their grades by doing the work and doing it well. The AP hunters are the sports team members, they feel entitled to their A’s without putting in the work in class because they are ‘athletes’. Same general principle.
However, no matter what you do, you are never going to catch up. No matter how hard you work, it is impossible for you to take the lead simply because it has nothing to do with how much you play, only how less frequent the others are playing. The ones at the top are going to continue to grind the optional ones, whether there is a cap or not. Using your same example of a competitive sports team, those at the top are going to remain competitive no matter what it takes, meaning nothing you personally accomplish is going to change that.
A cap would not force you to work harder in any way, you are going to continue to climb in AP the same rate as other AP hunters, regardless. The difference between AP is now going to be related to other things, besides dailies. As my example earlier, Liadra Light up the Darkness. If you were able to accomplish that, where someone higher ranked on leader board was not, you now have a significant AP advantage not tied to menial, time consuming tasks. Wouldn’t that be more meaningful?
If anyone feels the need to compete on the AP leaderboard, then thats an undertaking of their own choice to do every single one of the mindnumbing dailies. I would be willing to bet the majority of the population does the 5 they need for the chest and doesn’t care about the rest.
The extra dailies were not put in as a addictive grindfest for people who can’t control themselves or of Anet trying to induce an addiction to do them all. The extra dailies were put in for the average player. As options as to how they got the 5 for that chest. They could pick the activities they wanted to do for the chest and also have them count towards the LS meta if they didn’t want to do the main achieves for it.
This is why there’s so many options. Key word being options. As in not mandatory for anything except 1 AP.
This would be a huge QoL addition for us, while reducing the huge gaps in achievement points.
Question for the higer ranked AP hunters. (Im just under 1k ) Are most of your points from monthly and dailies because I know mine are.
I have over 15k AP and 46% of my achievement points are from dailies/monthlies alone. That is beyond absurd when you really think about it. Awarded more for menial tasks as opposed to actually completing challenging content.
haha, good story bro. at least I’m good enough to be in the top 300 of the tpvp official leaderboards when fighting opponents on a fair playing field unlike you WVWer.
Winning against lvl 2 players who are doing map completion in wvw is not something to be proud off.
At least beat me in the TPVP leaderboards before talking as though you know something about PVP.
Interestingly enough, I am ranked over 19 slots higher then you on the tpvp official leaderboards. You make inaccurate assumptions to suggest that because I disliked your rude and uninformed comments, that I am not successful there. Since you were throughing PvP rank around as if it means something here, does this, by your standards make my opinion have 19 points of value more then yours?
You sir/madam, just won
However, this is completely off topic so let us get back to the issue at hand. Being a hardcore AP hunter as well, (top 200) I am getting burned out from the large pool of dailies to complete on a regular basis. Capping the amount awarded each day would be a much welcome change.
They don’t even have to be in the tower.
The guys in the jump puzzle work just fine.
I thought about that too, until I tried to get into the jumping puzzle last night….. However, to my dismay, it was still broken…..
I think account bound WxP would be the most realistic fix to a simple issue, but since they have stated that they will not be doing that, this is a good alternative. Even something like adding an apprentice system would be fine by me. You would choose a character on your account to “apprentice” your main, and that character would essentially share the WxP gain or even gain a percentage of WxP. Something along the lines of that Pokemon item that you could give to back line Pokemon that would allow lower levels to level up via your higher level fighters. This would allow you to either give WxP to an alt, or even play on an alt, and apprentice your main, and not feel like you are falling that far behind. I feel like it is an easy medium between the two.
- Need a big damage buff in all weapons output that rivals warriors.
With the video evidence showing rangers soloing Lupi and other mobs faster then warriors can, and videos of damage parsed from the combat log confirming they can out DPS warriors, I question some of your comments.
The problem I see with that though, is that these max DPS situations are limited to very specific builds, with very specific weapons.
As well, I think your grossly over estimating warrior damage. Personally, I feel they need to adjust Axes, short bow, and long bow damage a bit, and great sword and MH sword are fine.
Notice, I said PvE is no problem. Lupi is PvE mob, and rangers are very good, if not perfect for PvE. Lupi is an AI that is easy to predict and rangers don’t have to take the close up damage that he and his minions can do, while the warrior must contend with being pointblank on target. I’ve soloed Lupi at least 3 or 4 times…I should’ve recorded it – if I had that set up. Kiting is the key to AI mobs.
Ranger vs Warrior: No matter the DPS difference in the beginning of the fight, once a warrior has closed the distance, and they do this very fast(as do many other classes), the ranger’s DPS means nothing. All the DPS you’ve done has hardly affected the warrior and he Hammers you down and keeps you down. Kiting doesn’t work very well on players, since they have ways to reach you and will use them at every opportunity.
On a side note:
Classes like elementalist, mesmer and necromancer should have a massive damage nerf with any and all melee weapons.
Elementalists are spell casters not fighters.
Necromancers deal in undead minions, disease and life force draining and are not fighters.
Mesmers are illusion masters and shouldn’t even be able to lift a great sword.
Don’t forget the ability for engineers to somehow throw grenades the same distance we can shoot a bow! Seems legit.
1.) Account bound WvW ranks PLEASE!
2.) Skill Lag
3.) More commander functionality
Looking for an invite as well. Thanks!

Okey-dokey, Super Adventurers. We’ve identified the problem thanks to your reports.
Does this mean that it is currently fixed or that it will be fixed within the near future?
The only reason I am happy I clicked this thread is b/c I now know that laurels stack past 250! Thanks for the SS OP!
All you did was add a “new skill effect” during cast? You can barely see it when standing still and you can’t even see it when your running. My Call of the Wild ability has a more flashy effect. At least this should have included updated visibility on footfalls. I am extremely disappointed.
That rationale would be fine if that was how Guild Wars 2 worked. “It will be there when I get back,” sadly does not work when referring to the Living Story, which is the BIGGEST problem.
Yes, but . . .
Name one thing, one thing which is so absolutely vital to have I would be remiss in not logging in to get it? So far I haven’t seen anything which fits that bill. I’ve seen a lot of interesting nice things, but nothing which made me stand up and shout:
“Here’s my wallet! I must have it!”
Anything living story related IMO. All those missed achievement points, all the missed meta rewards, EVERYTHING related to this temporary content, for me at least. Missing out on something that I will never ever see again is a huge disappointment to me.
Even if I haven’t played WoW for 2 years, I can still go back and get all the old tier raid achievements, the old raid meta rewards (such as mounts, etc), complete all quest lines leading up to achievements and titles, etc. I can experience everything in the game because it is there to stay. Sure, things change such as the reworking of Naxx 40 man into a 10/25 man instance, but I can’t really think of any other content that I could not physically explore for myself years down the road.
Even if I picked up the game today, for the very first time, 9 years AFTER the game was released, I can still go back and run Molten Core, BWL, or AQ40. Sure, maybe I can’t complete the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest to unlock the gate for the first time on a server, but it is not like WHOLE zones are disappearing. (Crown Pavillion, Queen’s Gauntlet, Aetherblade Instance, Molten Facility, Zephyr Sanctum, etc)
If I were to pick up Guild Was 2 today, for the very first time and log in, I would not be able to experience ANY of the Living World content. I would load into the game and would only (most likely) be aware of current LW story. So I would say to myself, who are these Aetherblades, who is the Molten Alliance, who is Scarlet? (Though tbh, most of us even after playing all the LS are still asking that question…)
Just something I want to change in my suggestion without editing anymore of the original idea.
Overnight i was just thinking of any flaws that this suggestion might’ve had and I thought of one. Say if I was wielding 2 different legendaries at the same time like bolt and incinerator. Me typing /legendary emote would not work because which legendary emote would The game choose? My incinerator emote or my bolt emote. One way over this could be just to type /the legendary name, so if I wanted to activate my incinerators emote whilst I am wielding bolt as well, I could type /incinerator
Or it could just default to the main hand weapon.
If this exist, I apologize. I could not find anything with the search, however:
Toooo many dailies. Yeah, it is great to get those points, but heck, when I get home from work, I get showered, get dinner and sit down and get the dailies done (or try to) and then try and get an hour or so to do something I would like to do. Trouble is, by then, its bed time. So, the whole week goes by where I am in a way compelled to… well, do what the daily table dictates and not playing the game.
I don’t like that.
Ok, yes, “you don’t have to”. I know… but I do want the points, and I don’t want to be left behind either. So… yeah, I have to.
Whats the chances of just slightly modifying the dailies to “Hey player, here is a list, choose any 5”, and cap the point at 5. So if you do more, well, you still just get the 5 points for the ones that count.
I dono, I just feel that the dailies are just getting heavier and heavier. I mean today, sit and read the list: Ambassador, Kill Scarlet, Maguma events… Wait… Kill scarlet! Really? That is 45 minutes I could have been in WvW! Really guys, please think about this.
I do tend to agree with this, though I am pretty sure many other player’s will simply state, “you don’t have to do the extra achievements past the daily if you don’t want to, you are only getting AP’s.” However, I would have a hard time finding anyone that wouldn’t agree that the “Kill Scarlet” Clockwork Chaos daily is a little over the top, especially with the rediculous amount of crashing I have been doing since the latest patch. Took me three tries last night in order to obtain it, MINIMUM of 3 hours.
As much as I would love this…..it is a little over the top sadly and will most likely never be implemented. Though since we are never getting account bound WvW ranks (which is a very bad idea imo), something like this would definitely help me level my alts.
Each piece must be gained by a different way/
1 for WvW
1 for PVP
1 for Pve
1 for JP
1 with gold (pure rng)
1 with crafting
Ect…
I actually really like this idea, except for the RNG portion of it. That would entice players to play all aspects of the game in order to acquire their BiS gear. However, I would also like it if they added the same functionality they are planning to do with the legendary weapons. Enable it so you can swap the stats of the items at will, allowing you to completely re-customize a characters build without the need for spending money/badges/karma/etc in order to get a new set. (Only to find out you do not like this new play style and just feel disappointed.) Also, make these items account bound so you can swap between characters at will, without feeling obligated to play the “best geared.”
Just today I was in keg brawl and saw 2 people outside the ring tossing a keg back and forth while they were on opposite teams, gaining an interception for the achievement each time and also 5 rank/glory for those achievements. by the end of the match, they both had 400+ rank points gained from that 1 match.
Thankfully those rank points they earned during the match don’t actually do anything. You cannot gain rank from participating in any form of activity such as Sanctum Sprint, Southsun Survival, and Kegbrawl is included.
Cannot stress the importance of this enough. A grace period is necessary in a game that is filled with so many instances. Multiple instances of different zones (overflows), dungeons, mini-dungeons, fractals, WvW, and PvP. Almost every single part of the game itself runs on instances. I can live with the crashing every now and again, I would even be perfectly fine with crashing twice a day, BUT not being able to log back into the game and get back to exactly what I was doing when I crashed, is the real issue.
If I crash 11 minutes into Scarlet’s invasion, I am now forced to wait approx. 49 minutes until the next one begins because I am no longer within that 10 minute time frame from the start.
If I crash 5 minutes after getting into RBL (WvW), after sitting around LA spamming my F key on the portal during a reset night, I am now stuck sitting around waiting HOURS to get back into the same BL I was just in.
This is unacceptable to me and should be unacceptable to anyone else.
Better reconnect functionality is desperately needed if Anet wants to persist with this type of event design in the future. So far I’ve been thrown out of four invasions by a random disconnect, twice once Scarlet appears.
This is a HUGE issue. There needs to be a way to reconnect to your position if you crash or disconnect. A 5 minute window of leniency would suffice. Crashing minutes before the event is completed is a enormous waste of time and effort. Same thing for WvW. Nothing worse then crashing on reset night 20 minutes in, only to have to sit in queue for 2 hours because of it. A reconnect option SHOULD be available in any game such as this and you would be hard pressed to find a current MMO that currently does not have one.
Ranger
Ranger’s longbow can actually hit longer than 1500, roughly 1800 range, with the eagle eyes trait.
Just like to correct this. Rangers have a BASE range of 1200 and eagle eye gives them MAX 1500. They DO NOT have a base of 1500 with eagle eye bumping them up to 1800. I wish this were the case, though it is not.
I do to this game the same way I do to Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed, or any other super long game when I get bored…..
…I stop playing. I haven’t played Skyrim in almost a year, and I just started again this week with a new character, and it has been really awesome playing through again.
One does not simply take a break from Guild Wars 2.
Challenge Accepted! Because I jumped back into Skyrim, I am slowing down my endless Guildwars 2 Grind, and I might hop on to finish a Daily or do a dungeon with friends if they ask, but, it might be October before I hop into the game again (because I missed it the first time while taking a break from this game!), but as far as playing the game with a fresh character and getting serious again, it could be a year from now.
BUT! It doesn’t cost me a penny to play the game, so what does it matter if I quit now and come back in 5/6/12 months?
This is kinda what I did with Guild Wars 1 after immense, extreme frustration trying to get Master’s Reward on Eternal Grove (HM). I literally took a break for a long time after finishing those Guardian titles.
My rationale? It’ll be there when I get back. For now, I got mudcrabs and Ash Zombies to go beat on.
That rationale would be fine if that was how Guild Wars 2 worked. “It will be there when I get back,” sadly does not work when referring to the Living Story, which is the BIGGEST problem.
I tried the “do an invasion on another character” and it did de-bug my completion
Debugged it as in displayed all the previously finished bugged events or just finished the single event which had not been accounted for in the past?
I am in the same boat as everyone else here. I have logged a total of 9 different maps where I completed the portal closure, however, my achievement progress is only counting 7/13 of them.
