Hi, I’m very concerned about this player going around and asking in map chat about players joining a highly offensive guild/guild tag. I have a screenshot with the player’s name and when asked if he was serious he said he was and claimed that a different racial guild was doing the same thing. I’m sure they are just being stupid trashed drunk players, but it’s still offensive behavior and wasn’t sure how to report them. Or how to report in the future. Thank you.

Not a clue if someone already posted this and I’m too lazy to go back any farther than a couple of pages, but it would be beneficial to have basic settings in ranked pvp. I mean bare basic, like preferred language. That setting/option is in custom matches, so why not ranked as well? I would help the frustrated players that get teamed up with someone that speaks/types a whole other language and you can’t come up with a tactical plan cause no one knows what the other is saying and most cases it’s a pitiful lost for them. Otherwise, it would be awesome if there was a chat translator. Just something so that everyone is on the same playing field of language.

I’m sure other people can add in their suggestions, but being able to select to play with others of your natural language would be a huge help to teams that are trying to strategize.

That’s strange, I didn’t get anything like that when I went back to my human home after completing Knight of the Thorn. I just walked up to her, traded my wep to collect all the skins and left with the GS. No clicking sound, no movie.

Do you have a screenshot with the rug? I’m debating on buying the Chandelier, but I wanted to see if anyone had an image for the rug.

I hope they keep it. I have the elite wing stage (last stage until the legendary form with glider) and I joined in the pvp seasons late and only just now got to 6/11 of my achievements for the Season II. Since the reward items are tied into the making of the final piece. I have everything else but those annoying achievement locked ones. Would be awesome to know that my hard work of trying to finish the achievements in the next few days is not in vain, or at the very least know that in future seasons I can still get the reward items necessary to forge the final wings of ascension.

This is rather unusual request/question, but panhandling for gold should be means for reporting/banning. This frustrates me to no end that some lazy players out there sit in a map for hours and beg that they need gold from whatever reason. And I wouldn’t mind so much if it was like “hey, could someone loan me a couple silver to travel to [insert]” or does anyone have spare mats so I can finish this [insert] I’m crafting." No, I’m talking about people begging for 100s of gold. I mean just walking around and exploring rewards you a bit, and then you have the 2 gold per daily completion, and the daily log in rewards, so it’s not hard at all to find money in the game if you spend the time to do so. I feel like these type of players are scamming and taking advantage of other players for their hard earned gold with their sob stories.
In a recent event in a city map, things were getting very eerie when one such beggar was talking to other players about sending inappropriate pictures via other channels for gold over say and map chat! I get it what they do in their own messed up ways is their thing, but displaying that over a public channel should never be okay.

I guess what I’m boiling it down to is that when reporting someone, I would like to have a little text box to write what it is I’m reporting about that player, not just a little fold down of a generic list. And that Gold Begging should be part of that list of reasons to report.

(Hopefully this was the right topic to post this in. wasn’t sure honestly, but it would improve my quality of gaming greatly if there was a way to combat the beggars.)

So I’v been mining the AB map for ages now and I have the mastery for the chance to gather a Auric Lodestone from any mining node in AB…. but I have yet to get one. I understand it’s random, but after the 3rd time of mining the entire map I thought I would have it be now. It’s my last collection item I need for the glorious back piece. T.T

Did anyone else have troubles getting this item to drop from a node? Any pointers? I looked briefly in the forum but couldn’t find anything on this.

Yeah, of all the home instances the one in the Grove is the most annoying for getting at the nodes (I’ll put Hoelbrak second most annoying due to the long distances you have to run between them, especially when the bandit chest decides to be up in the rafters). It took me forever to get at those trees, too.

And even when you know to go to them outside the entrance door, you have to hug the wall or get “leaving the instance” messages.

I cannot for the life of me find my 3 basic logging nodes in Dreamer’s Terrance. I see their icon right next to the Wintersday’s Giving Tree, but when I travel around on the different levels of the home I can’t seem to find the wood. I suppose it would be wrong for a plant being to cut down another plant life, but all joking aside, I’m stumped on where the nodes are, so if anyone knows, please comment below.

3. The black wings from the gemstore sale was part of the Raiment of the Lich costume back in gw1, they ddnt just make those wings for no apparent reason, the just decided to make it 2 different prodcuts possibly to increase sales, which im sure it did.
4. Releasing more wings that have no whatsoever history lore wise in the game would not make any sense unless anet becomes a cash cow company; every released gemstore item either has some lore background behind it or was part of a living story update, and other items that just share a gw2 theme.
5. But it cant hurt to keep dreaming your super duper fantasy armor with wings.

So it works… except for SW map… >.> wtf kittens. You no like SW? XD Started today after the latest update.

ok, I can say that without a doubt, it is something with the SW map. I went to dry top and played 2 hours, then thought “ok, I’ll try SW again.” nope. Was about 40% on the breach meter and crashed again. It’s something in the map after whatever update was done today.

OMG me too. ALL KITTEN DAY! Yesterday I was able to play several hours straight, today, I can’t play more than 30 mins (at horrid fps) with it going to an error. Now I’m trying to repair the GW2.exe and it’s being unresponsive…. someone really doesn’t want me to play… T.T

I have an older GW.exe that I backed up last week (woot, go for being crazy backup lady). so going to give that a try and see if it’ll just update and play. (crosses fingers)

Your not alone. however, mine is when ever if feels like it in SW. Happens about 20-30 mins. and happening all day. Yesterday was totally fine, today was been ick. And it’s not my router (which by the 2nd time I rebooted and no effect) or the normal wifi/internet d/c). the error windows pos ans says the client had suffered a serious error that prevents it from running and asks to send an error log. (sent 2 of them to see if that helps any.) having rotten luck trying to get the beta portal and then this happens. It’s like the Six don’t want me to play beta T.T or at all.

See it with Dreamer bow to. Simple fix=> wep swap! (when taking screens or just enjoying the view)

To the player that recommended some help. There was a little improvement, but just a tad. I forgot to get new screenshots, but after the actions of the following:
I repaired GW2.exe
I defrag my computer
I installed the program (razer whatever)

and I found something very interesting. When I did the razor boost, and popped open the game, the character selection screen showed the FPS over 60. Which was so so sweet. But then my heart was dashed once I loaded up in a map with no running world boss and only mildly populated…. dropped to 10-17 FPS. I tried other maps as well. Same thing.

Conclusion: It’s not my computer, it’s not my settings. It’s the update from whenever last time (guess that would be when they removed that pvp beta map, that’s when I first noticed it). It’s only been acting like this the last few days. It was perfectly fine last week.

I had the same problem, but today I noticed that I got back to 60 fps. What I did that might have fixed my fps was that I downloaded this: http://www.razerzone.com/cortex . I went to the boost tab, defrag, chose guild wars 2 and then closed it. I also optimised it with raptr: http://raptr.com/ .

yea. I dropped (again) in FPS shortly after the day when the pvp beta map was open. The last 2 days I’ve been playing the highest I got was 14 FPS, I normally get a modest upper 30s FPS for running med-high graphic settings.

Granted this was fixed for a time, but it seems to be back with vengeance

ok, I thought, maybe by chance that a repair would fix it, nope.

here’s screen show within the character screen… that means no other players or even a map to load and it’s still horrible FPS. Never changed my settings from last week when I was running just fine with 30-40 while, even with Jormag zerg (although sound was acting funny that the time).

I just hope the septor is better looking. The one currently looks like a freak’n mage’s mace. Way to big for any of my characters, and personally, it looks stupid.

(also, it would be nice if the fixed up Howler to what it use to be, howling loop sound and it’s Night cycle effect were stolen…)

Just in case I want any of the new ones, I’ve already started on mapping again and working up my mats.

And just think of the misquitos!!!! O.O as if living in a wetland wasn’t bad enough, but if they were GW2 size. I think I would want to live in the silverwastes/drytop, dry and airy, no gaint kitten bugs. Or be an asuran locked in her lab and trying to make a golem to kill any bug on sight. New goal!

I NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! Thanks, I was going insane trying to handle the laggy FPS. I mean Maw is even wrost now at 5.. XD At least pre-patch I was at 15-20 for maw and normal running around maps is about 25-30 at high-med (yes, my laptop is slightly older, so I’m not up to speed with the max eye candy…. can’t play Ac unity… t.t ) but still… just normal running around a map dropped to a staggering 15, half of what I ran with pre-patch. T.T

I even changed the camera “collision” setting to none cause I read that’ll effect the processing.

(on the plus side, they fixed the “ghost voices” where every few secs you would heard someone shouting who wasn’t there. Silver lining.)

Hi, I tried a quick sweep on the site and forums but didn’t see a clear answer to my question that if I bought the game digital from the site, could I gift it to someone else?

I saw that the game will be 75% off this weekend and I thought there’s no better b-day present than to give the game to my brother. But I wanted to find out how he would get it if I paid for it?

(Sorry if this sounds nooby. I never paid for the digital version before since I bought the physical.)

Ah yea. I did notice that a while back. Then again, the boss lived longer cause no one but me and Cathie were killing it, so I saw some newer moves than before.

Guys I’ll give you a tip. After running back from burning phase and he starts to land, hide in a tent by the merchants. You can’t get feared. Then wait it out (I think he fears like 3 times) before re-entering the fray of battle. I do this all the time, mostly cause I got annoyed by the fearing and long running back. Tents are awesome. use them.

I remember that failing the dragons (Shat and Jormag), not really much happened.

Failing the maw (yea, that happened once or twice in the dead hours) if I recall there was just more Salvir running around.

I don’t remember a failed GOLEM Mark 2, but I do remember a failed pre-event of it. You have to help the frog guys get a cure for the toxins in the water set off by the Inquest.

I don’t ever remember SB failing, even on low populated maps. :?

The “Hydra Queen” on fail just means the pirates remain there.

I just finished doing “A Light in the Darkness” for the 12th time (I have way too many characters XD), but this time it was slightly different. During the bit where “vision Trahearne” makes his grand speech it’s different than what I had remembered. So out of curiosity, I checked the wiki’s page for the quest and followed the speech on there with the screenshot I made of the present speech. And it was different.

The old speech as follows:

New speech in chat dialogue from screenshot… (below in attachments)

So… just wondering, when was the change made and why? I kind of like the older speech better. I especially love this line “Did you feel that? It is the dragon who is afraid!” But they are not in the new speech. To me at least the new speech isn’t as compelling or “war worthy”. But that’s just my opinion, I would like to hear any designer statements of why it was changed.

Ok, I’m sooo over the Courtyards matches. Twice I was stuck in Courtyard and all I wanted to do was get the daily done (Defend a point). How in the world am I suppose to get this if all the matches vote for courtyard. I tried leaving the match and it say I couldn’t. I exited to DESKTOP, logged back on a DIFFERENT CHARACTER and I was pulled back to the blasted match I was TRYING to leave. I told everyone, sorry I wasn’t going to play a match I was doom to fail in and everyone got mad at me, but the character I was on wasn’t set up for PVP so I couldn’t do really anything.

THIS IS SOOOOO STUPID! I should be able to leave a map if I want. Give me a “time out” to not play in pvp for 30s-1min, I don’t give a kitten’s behind, but I HATED being forced into a match I didn’t want to play and making the team suffer for it, because I couldn’t do anything.

I was checking my achievements to see which ones were easy to grab since I was close to getting the next reward chest and saw the I was 14/18 for Tier 4 of Asuran culture armor sets. I went onto my heavy set Asuran and bought the lower tier gear since I had never gotten them before. They were soulbound, I even wore them for a second to see if it would trigger the achievement since I had bought 4 pieces. Never got the achievement, although the wardrobe unlocked all the skins I had bought.

So, my question, is the culture armor achevement bugged in some parts? I was Tier 3 but was able to buy 2 light pieces on my Asuran nerco to get to the 4th Tier which is where I’m currently stuck at.

I killed the little fragment guy, get the green color go to green light get shield, cool… This is where it breaks for me. I get the fragile thingy, go back to try to destroy the vortex, the green light knocks me back.
So failed that like five times, died a few other times because of bad fragile spawning right under me when fighting… and I gave up at midnight.

Was fun and pretty map, until that. Please, that vortex or the light has to move. Can’t get more than 25% down on the last boss since I get stuck after that first stage.

I am assuming you killed the Summoned Facet (little guy) and got the colored aura but then you ALSO have to get the Fragile bubble while you have the colored aura on and THEN run to the light to take out the vortex (stand till vortex takes the fragile debuff and one hit usually takes it down). Color of the aura and the light do have to match. I had one run where I got a different color so I waited that out and tried again when I got the next which had the right color.

The boss has two phases. One where the vortex spawns anywhere (unless it bugs into the wall) so all you have to do is run into the fragile bubble and then get to the vortex and stand till it takes it and one hit usually takes it out. Other phase is the light column with the vortex inside. For that phase you want to keep moving well away from the vortex because you don’t want the rings of death near that and kill the little Summoned Facet to get the color. Keep an eye out for an open fragile bubbles so as soon as you get the aura on you run for a bubble but NOT one in a death ring. Then go for the light column stand till vortex takes it and kill. Rinse and repeat. Mobile is definitely your friend here. Once you get the mechanics it is actually pretty easy to do. Hope this helps. I had trouble my first time through but figured it the second time around.

I second this. everytime I’m running through that area, it’s still there and always fails/incomplete. frankly, I’m surprised the bandits haven’t gotten bored hassling the merchants XD

The flames are slow moving homing missles basically, though I’ve figured out you can dogde roll into them to ‘evade’ the heavy damge attack they have. The tricky bit is the timing of you dogde.
