Yep, I figured as much but I live out in the sticks and the only PC’s I’ve ever really had were supermarket pieces of junk. The one that I currently have only runs the game with an average of 20 FPS, and that’s if I’m in an open field with no one around me lol. I can just hang it up when it comes to WvW. I’ve seen how the game can truly shine thanks to YouTube videos and want to get that same experience. Been playing since beta and I know the game is a very beautiful world but it can be so much more if I just take the time.

I’m in the process of building my very first gaming pc and while I’m excited, I’m also a little hesitant on the parts I need to buy. Currently this is my running shopping list that my friend helped me put together (he doesn’t play the game) but I’m also aware that this game was said to be more CPU based then GPU. My question: will what I have in the provided list run GW2 at average 60 fps and run max (or very nearly) settings? Thanks a bunch for any input! Also due to my lack of knowledge on this matter I just copy/pasted the entire list of components even if most are not pertinent to the concern at hand.

I have already completed the Untethered ap in HoT story a while ago but whenever I replay that particular instance, I still have the qualification badge over my skill bar. Just wondering how to get rid of this, as its been bugging me (pardon the pun) for some time.

Might want to edit in if you’re NA or EU. The game is region locked in that regard but the mega server does allow all severs of that specific region to overlap in game. Also welcome to the game! I might not be able to actually get online all the time but can answer questions you may have to the best of my abilities. Not a gw2 guru by a long shot but consider myself “knowledgeable.”

Yep, I’ve seem to have made the most progress on guard, do to the fact that the aa works to my advantage while the wall is up. As for the setup, found Crixus’s way of dealing with lupi the most beneficial. Still, there do come times in the rotations, particularity in p2 where dodge is required against the AA and its during those crucial moments the “die is cast” so to speak. Shrugs guess I’ll just have to be patient and get more practice in. Took me weeks to learn lupi a year ago, but this time I’m nearly at p3 and within just a few days. I can smell victory XD. Also thanks for the feed back Miku. Always like reading your posts.

Title. Ive been practicing on thief, guard, warrior. Before the bug Lupi was little more then a push over. Now, looks like I’ve finally kittened him off and he’s getting revenge. Phase 1 is still straight forward but for the life of me I can’t seem to dodge his AA even when I time the dodge with his animation. The only way I’ve found to evade successfully is to dodge before the animation starts which boils down to rng. Anyone else having this trouble or might it be due to my low fps (average around 25-30). If not, tips/tactics on either of these classes would help a bunch. Thanks again. p.s. Though I do hope this bug gets fixed, I actually enjoy the challenge. Will be that much more sweet of a victory when I put Lupi back in his kennel where he belongs. ^.^

For the love of…..bump. At this point I just want an official response, but I won’t hold my breath.

Been pretty hard to find a steady group of friends to play dungeons with so thought I’d try here. I’m from NA but work the night shift so timing shouldn’t effect me to much while playing on EU. I also have Skype/TS. Mostly I just want to run the standard set of paths most days but using the standard meta speed-clearing tactics/gear. I’m decent with my warrior (able to solo arah p1 minus Tar, and path 2) and currently working on perfecting my thief. Basically I want to have fun but I don’t have a lot of time to finish a path that takes 45min when I know it can be completed in under 20. If you’re that guild, please hit me up in game or leave a message here. Thanks again!

Hard to give you an accurate estimate. I have had runs that sold almost immediately after I put up the lfg and others that took between 10 and 25 minutes. A big part of it is knowing when to sell and beating the majority of sellers to the lfg. And also not getting kicked by trolls is another concern hence the guild which helps in that regard tremendously. Here’s a helpful tip: Once I’ve completed my run and before I ask for fillers from the guild I check the lfg and depending on the competition I will either go ahead and place my advertisement or will just go grab a cuppa coffee and just chill in the forums or the like while I wait for my turn at the watering hole. I know for most that’s pretty much a given but still. Better then dropping your price range into the dirt.

People already tried this idea. It flopped.

Just use fillers from your guild and/or friends list. Random followers you don’t really know or ever play with if you’re desperate.

Actually we have a sellers guild up and running with 90 members strong. Been active since the last patch that removed party leaders. Basically a glorified list of fillers. No reping is required. If you’re on EU, look us up we be more than willing to have you join. Sidenote: if you look a few pages back, I give all the guild details on a thread. But at work atm and dont have the time to look it up. Hope this helps.

I’m looking to get into doing WvW/Teq/Wurm and am aware that team speak is most likely my best bet for organization. However I already belong to five important (to me) guilds and from what I hear the pro guilds that organize these events require you to join their guild in order to use their team speak. My question:any team speak server’s out there that are public but have daily WvW/Teq/Wurm events? Playing on EU server by the way. Thanks again!

So I’m a bit confused on how Zhaitan obtains his “followers.” At first I thought it simply was that the dragon corrupted the dead and reanimated their corpse on the spot but now after finishing “Ossuary of Unquiet Dead” story line, I find out that he needs to transport the bodies all the way back to Orr and only when at the Temple of Lyssa can they be brought back as undead.

Meeting with Trahearne (cinematic):

Trahearne: The goal is to stop Zhaitan’s reinforcements. Our target is the Cathedral of Eternal Radiance on Orr’s north coast.

Trahearne:It’s essentially a factory that manufactures Zhaitan’s horde. I intend to shut it down, and I’m sending in a strike team to do just that.

Trahearne: We don’t know exactly how it functions, so I’m joining the team to make sure we have whatever rituals are required to get the job done.

At the central platform:

Trahearne: With the funeral rites complete, the deceased moved on to the ossuary.
Trahearne: Next they would prepare and inter the body—ah! See there?
Trahearne: They’re taking the body down through that hidden door to the crypt below.
Trahearne: That must be where Zhaitan’s minions are creating new Risen soldiers, and that’s where we need to be.

But there are other events scattered around Tyria that suggest otherwise, and that they just spring up out of the ground after just a few minutes of being deceased. Kind of a head scratcher. Thoughts?

Huh, go figure. Took another look inside and sure enough a lot of the walls and gates in particular remind me of Iron legion designs. I guess I need to take into account the time frame in which it took to construct the new fort during personal story which to me always seemed to confuse me. One moment we fought off an army of undead on the doorsteps of LA. The next we have a fully functioning and battle ready fort (and a bad-kitten one to boot) There’s never any sense of time moving, at least imo. Thanks for clearing that up Konig.

Finally got around to playing all my alts’ personal stories and while completing the “Battle of Forty Trinity” I started to wonder who built it. What was its purpose and how long was it there. Maybe I skipped some dialogue with some random npc explaining this but all I can recall is Trahearne saying “where should we set up shop? Oh that old fort stationed right on the door step of Orr looks like good real-estate!” “Well that’s very convenient” I thought. Its been bugging me ever since.

Took me only 7 tries this year. Guess all that solo Lupi training paid off in more ways then one ^^

Don’t know how long this has been patched but just wanted to give a “Thank You” to anet for allowing us to “Deposit Collectables” minus any mini’s we might have in our inventory at the time. QoLs like this are a nice touch. Of course I would like to enter and exit maps with the mini still by my side but its a step in the right direction. “Enjoy the little things.” P.S. Would be kick-kitten if our minis ran around collecting loot for us during the heat of a big zerg fight in wvw. Food for thought.

^ So much this. Was very happy when I was able to go back to the cliffs. Was even happier when my aspect skills actually worked! Sigh That didn’t last very long. Now my “light dash” and “light pull” are spazing out all the time. That…..I don’t miss at all and it looks like I’ll have to wait to get my remaining 40 crystals -_- . PS its not my connection. Im running w/ 50 fps and a solid 23 ping.

You can set a “Nickname” to the side of their Character name. I use this all the time to help sort out my “PvP” friends from “Fractals”/“Speed Runner” friends and so on.

Never really post on the forums. Mostly just like to read but drastic times call for drastic measures. Been soloing Arah p2 for a while and finally was able to kill lupi daily. But now it seems I’ve hit a brick wall named Alphard. I play warrior and I’ve tried everything suggested on the forums and youtube vids. Nothing seems to be panning out. Any suggestions, tips would be most helpful. Also if you could take some time to teach me in game I’d just die from joy! Thanks again everyone. (on EU server but in US….friends in EU so, yep)

I’d suggest setting up for the encounter about 30min in advance. Did this in an overflow and once you start encouraging people to join and shout out positive things like “We can do this!” or “Let’s kick those knight’s kitten ” you’d be amazed how far those corny phrases can help motivate players. Also keep updating your map chat to fine out how many players are roughly in the boss areas. Once the fight started, not a single boss had less then 50 players with buff. We even got the 6min achievement during the same fight. Again in overflow, so anything is possible ^-^

I’ve encountered this before. The invisible shock you are getting hit by is the after effects of the blast. Just b/c its not on your screen doesn’t mean it’s not still there. Give it about 3 seconds before you head over in that direction. It will be safe after that. Also, getting hit by the shields is fine for achievement. Got my and was hit a few times by those myself. Good luck and have fun!

Might be due to multiple reasons, but the one that I bet is the real issue is your low level status. At lower levels, your character will do less damage to enemy npcs and since you entered a lvl 80 instance you were hitting “glancing” blows which do little to no damage. This makes tagging mobs harder and in return, harder to nab that exp. I’d suggest the obvious, crafting if you have the gold to get at least 15 lvls, and doing your story also gives insane amount of exp, especially in early story modes. Also try swapping out characters at the last boss of dungeon runs. Seems to be popular. Anyways good luck and don’t worry, you’ll get there.
