Well I am not to sure if this was already a thing but well here I go.

There are a few things that bug me about some Legendaries that makes them less legendary to me. Well it could also be just for me so please tell me what you think about the things I am going to write up and if there are things that bug you a bit tell them too.

1. Kudzu: Skill 5 on ranger fires normal arrows and not the special Kudzu ones. Could be that it is to hard to change it or whatever but well it is just strange ^^ (well but very nice work they did on the new bowstring a lot better than the old one ^^)

2. Nevermore: It is a two handed weapon but only one arm has the feather animations. Also well the spirit ravens on crit are just to big on some enemies and fly the same way every single time. (I am looking at you thaumanova fractal) In my opinion it would look better if we had like a feather effect in hit like with Kudzu flowers on crit or if the ravens would fly around the enemy and not out of him in the ever same direction (well my personal opinion not like you have to agree).

3. Bolt: The lightening stops at your foot level. like if you have a plate below your feet. If you are on a slant one part of the lightning bolts just stops in the air (well this is probably because the bolts have no relation to the floor you are on and are generated from your character so it is bound to happen. This is just mentioning it I am aware that this one is likely not changeable even if they wanted to ^^)

4. Auras: On some character models you barely even see the auras. Compare human and charr with Eternity. ( this could be because I only use smallest character models and on some others it could be different.) On human the aura of Eternity is super clear and on charr you sometimes do not even see it all to clear. (could also be because of my graphic settings if so please tell me if not tell me how you see it)

5. In general the length of the footfall and some of the animations. Chuka and Champawat barely has 2 steps like most of the new leggys do and some old ones too. I do not want them all to be the same length but common Kudzu has like 20 steps and some of the new ones you barely even see. Again I am not to sure why it is designed like this and if there is some deeper meaning behind it if so please enlighten me. And some footfall effects are really hard to notice on certain floor types and others are super easy to spot. Bolt for example has a pretty long lasting effect but on some terrain you mostly do not notice it where the Frostfang animation is very clear even on snow itself.

This here is neither a rant nor anything else. It is just that I summarized the things that caught my eye and I would really like to know how others fell about the same things I wrote about. As if my opinions on these aspects are things that only I do not like all that much or if it is more widely representation of gw2 player opinion.

P.S. I crafted some of these leggys and it would not have really influenced me if any of the above mentioned things would have been changed.

Account wide Dungeon Story completion

Well I am pretty sure this has already been mentioned more than once in the forums but well.

Why isn’t the Dungeon story completion account bound and not character bound?Dungeons themselves are already not that popular but if you want to open exploration mode with a character you have to complete the story with him before.

I have lost count of the specific dungeon stories each of my characters has done and it is pretty annoying. So is there any reason not to change it?
I mean fractal reward level is also account bound and not character bound any more.

Reset pet name

I want an option for a complete dialog free model of the instance. Literately the same instance but without any waiting for npcs to finish talking.
Unlockabale by playing the instance 1 time for the whole account.
Would not be to much in terms of work for the devs but would skip a kittenton OF GOD kitten USELESS TALKING I ALREADY HEARD 5 TIMES.

Well am not sure where to post this otherwise.

I would just like to know if someone ever mentioned the idea before me. Maybe and just maybe Kudzu should change the white / normal arrows to rain down to the Kudzu yellow spear ones?

Well I personally would love to have a yellow effect instead of the white one and also have the arrows stuck in the ground changed to the Kudzu ones since well it is a legendary weapon and all ^^.

What do you all say?

So well there are 2 things I would like to additionally say.
- It sucks that you have no information like: “If you lack mastery xy it could be near impossible /simply impossible etc.”
- Insane Rng in some of them. Fallen Masks my best example. my best try was 22/25 and I do not think that I do so many mistakes or am to dumb to chose correct ways to lose like 20 seconds. But you simply are bitter if after like a few dozen tries you got 22 as best one. (And you look at videos where people did kinda kitten up 1 or 2 times and still got gold cause heavenly spawns)

And while I am at it. Why are the collect or click on whatever Adventures so hard. Well like I said hard is nice but to hard is dumb. if you want to have the thrill they could do it for the daily Adventure reward.

At the moment the mask thing is 10/ 15 / 25 I think.
Why not let it like this for daily one.
And the first time you get the mastery point for would be 10 /15 / 20. So if you want it hard do it every day if you hate it do it once with less frustration.

Am I the only one who is annoyed that in practically every map there are some points of the map locked because of the Meta Events. You have to finish it to complete the map.

Same thing with these kitten Adventures. Some of them are so hard you have to be lucky to get good spawns of whatever you have to collect / shoot or whatever to finish gold. And others you have to practice them a few dozen times until you have them down. But what a surprise. kitten meta event locks it just as you would need just one more try cause you are on a roll. Well not like I hate the Meta Events it is kinda fun.

BUT NOT WHEN I TRY TO FINISH MY MAP OR MY ADVENTURES.

They have a few maps parallel all the time. Can’t they just have one server where you can finish the map and the adventures cause the meta just does not start.

Well if they whine about the map being to farm friendly then. Make it so the special chests do not spawn don’t drop the special currency and no events except for the special ones to block points specifically like the Balthazar thing but just not Meta so you can just finish your map in peace and do not have like 1 missing and have to wait like an hour to finish this god kitten point or adventure.

Do you guys also feel the same?

Well the whole gold idea is nice and all but there are simply ones who are to random or to hard.
The shooting gallery thing is simply luck if they spawn good or not.

They should make it like you need only 35 hits instead of 40 for the first time gold where you get the mastery point. And after this you need 40 points for the daily thing. It would god kitten help us to farm the mastery points while still having the challenging aspect for the ones who want to do it multiple times imao.

Listen, we’re all anxious for Dusk. But you’re not entitled to anything. There’s no reason to be a jerk about it. It’s a new expansion. ANet are up to their eyeballs in bugs. Give them some slack, okay? I’m sure it’ll be fixed soon.

We can be as big jerks as we want. Almost 2 weeks for 1 drop. That’s well just laughable. Oh and how we are entitled cause → collection for most probably most popular / expensive precursor → we paid for expansion → they had beta and I refuse to accept this was not discovered there → most important : We got 1 in numbers 1 statement with “we are aware and will tell devs” like 7 days ago. We are going to be quiet if we get some solid statement like. “We have more serious problems at the moment so wee need to fix them first. Please understand that we are doing our best. We will most probably still need X days to tackle this problem.” If I get a answer like this I am perfectly content but well we get no information at all lol

Well just leaving my two cents here.

You have about 20 minutes in 80 minutes to complete adventures otherwise they are conquested and can not be played while some of them are so annoyingly hard or need to be practiced a ton of time to be able to somehow do them at gold.

I am suffering in Verdant Brink at the moment.
Am i the only one with this problem?

Bashing Bauxite Alchemicals does work sometimes.
As for why or how do not ask me.
I just know that if the event is not up (i assume after a server restart? or whatever) they mostly spawn at the intended place. And if the event is completed every time it should also work out for the next one. I know cause I already have completed it for dusk 1.

Only super annoying Modniir drop is still missing. Honestly how god kitten hard can it be for one annoying drop that has been mentioned like 1000 times since the release to be fixed in almost 2 weeks now omg.

You are doing it wrong.

1) It does not say jumping puzzle chest. It says something like “at the island after the jumping puzzle chest”. You have to cross over to the island using this one shipwreck there. It counted for me when i was using it just at the place i landed on the little island.

2) You do not have to use it at the googles. You can see one cube flying in the air with 4 beams of light coming out of its 4 sides. You have to jump on it then activate it. You can reach it by using the platforms you have to cross to the googles.

Well I can second Twilight.

Can also add that Sunrise does work 100%.
All 3 parts are doable without problems.

I am just amazed how we get absolutely no feedback.

We got like 1 post that answered to the problems of Twilight from anet and it said like “I will tell it to the devs” or so. And that was a few days ago.

I do not know about the others but
- Ulgoth
- Predator prototype
- Asuran Experimental Weapon
Should be easy to fix.

Hell even if they do not fix they could place a npc in LA or at the places where you need to go. They did so for this one achievement bug and since the scripting of nps that you just have to talk to should be simple beyond comparison they could just make it so that if you have active collection it completes the one part you are there for.

Why does no one of the people responsible for it post some useful information like:

Only explanation since every item in them game has to have a definite id. And Modnir does drop a item it may be the wrong but they would just have to swap ids.

No other explanation than they kittened up and part 3 is not finished so they make time like this.

Kessex Liberator looks like it should work correctly, though it does depend on other events in the map being completed before it will reset.

Brisban Liberator: it’s likely the case that the Hillstead events should also work, but the collection is currently looking at the enslavement event at Joy’s end (and the subsequent rescue if the event fails).

Overlord’s Defeat and Modniir’s ruin have issues- I’ve identified the problems and we’ll hopefully have them fixed soon.

Frizz’s energy- I can’t see any issues with this, and it’s working fine when I test it out- it works with both the low half-wall as well as the big rotating wall.

For the events breaking, we’re looking into them- they’re working fine for me on the development servers, but hopefully we’ll be able to find the issues.

There is one thing would really like to know.
What is the problem with Overlord’s Defeat and Modniir’s ruin. Since a layman like myself would say just change one item id in the drop list. Done.
I honestly can not see any real problem with this one.
Would really like to hear why it is not fixed. If there really is some sort of unbelievable complex mechanism in the back I withdraw my critics but well. It should have been plainly visible in testing and well I myself just can not see any highly complex problem in it.

First, have never gotten a precursor drop. That said, the value has been set by the community over time since these items have been out there for quite a while. I am not saying that they used this value to determine the value of any items you might gather but no if they had made the cost to acquire them cheaper then they would have devalued the item itself which would ruin the idea of a legendary. If anything would prefer that the cost to manually make then be even higher than current TP prices, that’s what makes these drops so precious. Its the end game for loot drops.

I do not really catch your idea. Since precursor is just rnd there are people who got multiple ones with ~ 200 game hours and people who got zero with ~2000+ game hours. And all the things that cost a lot for the collection are time gated crafting stuff whose price rose dramatically. And why would it actually matter if we devalue the price of unbound precursor since they are just pure luck drops and there is nothing which really deserves a reward in form of a few hundred gold just because someone got a lucky drop? As far as i know the collection Precursors are account bound either way so there would be no one to sell them and since you have to invest a lot of work it would be hardly any problem if they are cheaper. Since if someone does want to acquire it using the super easy way by tp and does get his precursor for 100 money units and one does do all the extra stuff for the collection precursor and pays like 90 money units and compensates the rest of the 10 money units by standing around at boring random events for hours with his game time he cannot use to do things he would normally do or farm money effectively?

There you go. Around 7mins colin speaks about how is very important to them (gw2 team) to maintain the gold value of precursors across the game and explains how the 2nd phase of crafting is specifically designed to do that.

He literately says that there is a TIME AND A GOLD value with the collection so that the precursor price does not skydive. There was no word that it was intended so that the collection does cost more than buying it in the tp additionally to the time you need to spend ^^

Well I read everything you wrote.
Some of you missed my point some got it.

To sum it up again and to include the things said here.

1. Some said it is to bypass the rng and tp effect.
Well honestly I am no Role Play mmorgp player. I could care less if the way I acquire the precursor is epic. But OK let us jump the train. Sure it is interesting to complete the journey but well. Let us translate in a simpler term.

You want to eat bread because you are hungry. You can either hope a loaf drops from the sky (rng), or you can go to a store and buy it (tp). But you also could buy a field. Then farm it. After about half a year you have wheat (just enough for 1 loaf) and you have to get the rest of the ingredients. Then you still have to bake it in a stove which you also have to either build or buy. Then after all this work and lets just figuratively say a price that is higher (since time spent for this = time you can not spend to earn money) you have the loaf you want to eat. But oh well it is half a year late. But do not despair instead of spending half a year for this whole ordeal you can also buy the wheat and everything else. But oh no it is still more price than just getting it from the store.

Like I said if you love this principle then sure go ahead. It might be a nice way for people who are not able to save up money and who get the urge to buy useless crap if the number of gold they see in their inventory is to high so they never are able to save up enough for the big tp chunk. I am not. I am able to save it up ^^

2. Blaine Tog.8304’s argument of :
“I call shenanigans. Anet sets the terms for supple and they can affect demand by releasing new recipes requiring large amounts of a given mat. They know how much precursors have historically gone for and they apparently calibrated the materials cost to be pretty close to the cost of precursors. That wasn’t a coincidence.”

Well if they calibrated the price shame on them. They must have used the price before it became now that you need a ton of let us say ascended leather and ascended steel the prices exploded. Just look at gw2tp. Look at how the prices exploded. If they are like well we looked at the prices before and it seemed like a fair deal then wow shame on them. If so I am amazed they managed to stay on the market with their game long enough because this is simple economics to think that higher demand raises the prices. And if you introduce something that costs about 100+ mats which you needed before in a magnitude of like 5-10 for a single piece of equip then well it is a given the demand rises.

Well honestly just farming the mats is not the problem like someone mentioned the time gated stuff is the problem. If you do everything yourself you need well 100 days + and tp purchases are almost exclusively to shorten the time. Most of the extra money you spend on this one should be that you purchase the time gate other people used to craft it.

3. The stuff about being able to make progress while doing other things. Well if you are a causal player. Lets just say you farm the mats and craft 1 ingot a day and to everything else like this 2. You have to run around at least half an hour to gather everything you need for this ingot and this only if you go to places where you can farm it faster. You also have teleport costs. I do not really see the you can farm if slowly while doing other stuff idea. Well you can bulk farm the stuff once a week but not if you are casual player with a lower amount of time ^.^. And I personally was already tired of it after farming enough for my ascended armor and weapons I would have gone crazy if I would have to do it like 4-5 times the time i already did. It does restrict you. If you just play what you like and sell all the stuff you do not need you will have enough money to buy the prec at one point to and you will not be bound by the same routine.

Someone also said something about anet telling in advance it will not be cheaper but could be more expensive and harder etc. Could you please post the post you read this in?

Well lastly about the negative input.

I did not expect it to be like 90% off or in a way I can complete it in a single day.
But I did expect it to be at least a little kitteneaper than the complete one since you have to invest a lot of time. Everyone who still says it is about the adventure read point 1 our loaf adventure again. I am amazed that you whoever you may be have such nice masochist tendency (I have not)

Well I am simply bitter about it being an option that costs me more time and money than simply buying a complete one.

P.S. I did never drop a precursor and people who had the luck to get 1 or even more of them will likely fail to get my whole point since they either did not have the problem of acquiring the precursor or could sell the one they dropped to have either all the money they needed for the one they wanted or were close to it. And even if someone thinks well it is only bling bling. I simply want to have it to myself. I liked it the moment i saw it and did work for it little by little. Since you should not forget you also have 3 gifts you need to craft and there is not only the precursor you need. The ton of t6 mats the Icy Runestone the Karma and even the world completion are all things you had to do slowly. It just does not ring the right bell inside me that i have a chance to acquire my precursor the same way i did for the 3 gifts but it does cost more than to just buy it in the tp ^^. Since if the thread would have been either farm t6 mats for gift or buy them everyone would have said: your decision. Because dropping them is nice etc but it is unbelievable time consuming to really farm them all yourself ^^

Well about my title it is very simple.

I am going to give all of you some basic calculations here you decide and I want to have a statement of a person who was responsible for these arrangements.

Let us take a look at Dawn:
Direct purchase price atm 740g
highest ordered price atm 660g

Now let us take a look at the collection:
For rank 1 you have to collect 14 tokens with various means and then you have to create a prototype sword.
You need 30 Deldrimor Steel Ingots and 10 Elonian Leather Squares and some other tokens like the PVP and WVW tokens to create this sword.

For rank 2 you have to craft a ton of practice stuff for at least 3000 Mithril Ingot.
Then you have to create a special sword forging tool where you need 250 Mithril Ingot 100 Orichalcum Ingot and again 10 Deldrimor Steel. Then you have to create 10 Greatsword Blades and 10 Greatsword Hilts of kinda every type of ingot there is including Deldrimor Steel Ingots again. Since 1 Blade/Hilt is 3 Ingots each we arrive at an additional 60 Deldrimor Steel Ingots. After this you have to hand in a new Daysowrd Hilt and Blade. I do not know how much ingot you need here. But we can assume at least 5 or mots likely 15 like we needed for the Blade and Hilt of Rank 1.

So we add it up:
3250 Mithril Ingot (Stack about 2 g each: 13 Stack is 26g)
10 Elonian Leather Squares (price if you order it is aboce 5,5g so 55g)
3 Settings for Steel:
-100 Deldrimor Steel Ingots (most optimal setting if the new Hilt and Blade are free for whatever reason. Deldrimor Steel Ingots is abve 5,25g if you order it so 525g)
-110 Deldrimor Steel Ingots (super cheap Hilt and Blade 577,5g)
-130 Deldrimor Steel Ingots (setting i think is most likely 682,5g)
And let us assume you spend about 50g for the other ingots you need and also the PVP and WVW tokens (I know 50g is at this moment not enough but let us assume token price will drop sharply after a few days since there will be more on the market)

This brings us to a price for the different scenarios of:
1. 656 g (scenario free new hilt and blade since i do not know how much it costs really)
2. 708,5 g (scenario 5 ingot hilt and blade)
3. 813,5 g (scenario 15 ingot hilt and blade like rank 1)

Reminder for COMPLETE PRECURSOR purchase from auction house:
Direct purchase price atm 740g
highest ordered price atm 660g

So in the most ideal scenario it is 4g cheaper than the one you order and in the worst scenario it is more than 50g MORE expensive than the one you purchase.

You still have to farm 1000 Bandit crests and a few other things (which I also do not know since you have to complete Bandit Crests before this one to see the following ones). If we assume you only have to farm things you can not buy the price does not increase.

But now think about it.
We have now only finished rank 2 of 3 ranks. We still miss a WHOLE rank. And we spent a kitten ton of time already running around the map doing part 1 and farming whatever not for rank 2.

Btw I made the prices a bit lower than they actually are for the sake of nicer numbers to calculate and the possibility that the price could decrease in the next 1-2 days.

So if you do think about it now. You have to spend MORE gold if you do try to get the precursor with the collection than if you just buy it in the Trading Post. And you have to spend hours running around.

So why should we even do it this way?
Well some collections might be cheaper than directly buying it like Dusk since it does cost more. ( 1150g direct purchase 950g order)
Or because you do not need Deldrimor Steel Ingot.
Some people might say you do not have to purchase ingredients but you can farm them yourself. But this does not mean you get the item for free. You still have the value of the item you use to craft. So you just acquire the value otherwise than direct purchase trough Trading post and you might be 15% cheaper because you do not have the fees but you would need at least 100 days just to finish rank 2 (since Deldrimor Steel Ingot is kinda once per day) and you still would have to run around farming everything which does cost time and time is money. ^^

So what is the reason we should do the collections?
Well I do not know other collections but we can assume they work the same way. So you do need at least 110 ascended crafting materials of any kind. So the price should not be all that different. If we use simple math the only precursor collections you could save money of are the ones for the most valuable ones like Dusk.

I really feel cheated. I build the rank 1 sword so I have to finish it if i want the precursor otherwise I would have wasted even more money.

I am really disappointed since i thought that the whole point of this collection was to save some money on the Precursor while I get to see some nice scavenger hunt and compensate the gold i safe with time I play to finish the collection.

If possible I would love to reverse everything I did for the collection. I now wasted gold for no reason at all and I do not even want to start on the playtime. (And I am quite sure the prices of ascended crafting material will only rise and not fall since there are now a ton of people who need the materials in the hundreds because of the Precursor collection. And there will still be people who build ascended armor themselves.

So guys think about the pros and cons of the collection. I am toying with the idea of stopping to play since well I wasted the gold I saved up on something that does cost more time and does cost more than just buying it directly. I do not have a ton of time to play so the gold I spend does really ruin me practically. Unfortunately there is no medicine for remorse.

But I would really like to hear, what the people who are in charge of designing these Precursor collections have to say about the stuff I mentioned here. If someone does find some calculation error please point it out.

Bashing Bauxite Alchemicals works sometimes.

Did it yesterday once.

But I still need the drop of Modnir Ulgoth.
Did the one just now still bugged.
And well how freaking hard can it be to replace 1 item in the loot table.
At least not hard enough to justify a situation where we have to wait MULTIPLE days for it.

And well I start to get the impression that Forum mods do not care since this problem was mentioned in at least 5 different threads.

I do not know why but just now I actually joined a map where the event was not bugged and it spawned after about 20 minutes waiting.

It does seem it does tend to bug very often but it actually has a chance to work lol ^^

Modnir is another story tough ^^

Is it just me or does this one just not spawn any more.
At least 20 other people told me the same story I have.
Farming for hours and you never see him spawn even once.

Or is my luck just ultra bad?
(I searched the forum and did not find a post like this if I was just to dumb to search the right way forgive me ^^)

Crabtacular Achievement

So after 50-60 rounds of trying i still don’t have it.
Even did all the other annoying ones since if you are rather unlucky you need a lot of goes ^^.

My end balance is:
5-7 times 1 guy still standing cause he was afk at the other side of the arena.
15-20 times 1-2 guys deliberately doging .
I don’t remember all the encounters so there might be more or less than i said but i think it is about the same for everyone here.

Gave up on the Achievement since it is pure luck and my luck is the worst.
I normally wanna have every Achievement in every category and the are all possible.
Personally think this one is the worst out off all of them since if you really go for it like i did in all of my games and don’t get it and there are some people who might not even care about Achievement gaining it out of pure luck in the only game of Crab Toss they play.

If someone does have an Idea on how to solve my problem I am all ears ^^
