Scourge skills and traits. They may slightly change though between now and when we get to test them during the seconds beta weekend.
This was a post from Robert Gee from the Official Skill Balance Thread: 22 February Update. With this type of mindset, every class in the game is “balanced” which I think is a huge problem with the balancing team. They would only need to make minor tweaks here and there to keep them within a certain threshold. Also players attitude really hinders what classes are welcomed in what instances as well. It seems speed and numbers are all that matter to most of the end game players and necro isn’t competing in either of those categories. If PVE is ever going to be balanced then they need to change their view from every class being viable to every class being wanted. Personally I think every core profession(not specializations) should bring something unique to the table and players would want to bring 1 of each class to maximize the benefits.
http://gw2crafts.net/ here you go. Don’t refresh the page once you pick which craft your doing. It will pull the cheapest stuff but 450-500 is usually just exotic weapon discoveries.
They should just implement a option to disable foreign legendary effects and sounds. Just like how there is a force default character model.
Not everyone is arguing about bugs. Some people have problems with the direction of the content.
And that’s something players have little control over as direction is dictated by ANet’s vision for the game.
True, players can rail, plead and on rare occasion present a cogent and well written argument as to why something should be changed but at the end of the day we’ve signed up to be led by the devs through their vision of the game.
A B2P game has more in common with a movie than a restaurant. If you don’t like the restaurant you can choose not to go back. If you don’t like the movie you paid for, oh well, that’s two hours you aren’t going to get back.
Well, talking about it on a forum that they read might have them take a second look at their direction for the future.
Yes but it’s a no win for them. They do nothing and they aren’t listening to their players. If they do something and change direction they are once again abandoning some portion of the game. But the majority of the complaints I’ve seen on these forums are “I want to do X as soon as I bought the game” or “you moved my cheese”. Now X could be fully unlocked elite specializations, completed masteries, crafted precursors, map complete, etc.
And moving cheese, yeah, big end rewards were trimmed back and redistributed across dynamic event rewards, hero challenges, etc. instead if a very visible “big chunk of currency”. Nobody likes it when their printing press removed.
Actually a lot of the complaints now are very valid. They are talking about how most of the content in the “expansion” is either missing, doesn’t work, is repackaged old content stripped from the core game or “on it’s way and will be fully implemented over time”. This on top of how the core game and most class mechanics are still a mess is rather sad after 3 years.
I decided to mystic all the crap that came with the rev that it can’t use to see if I can get something useful and I get this…
First pre cursor and probably my last…can’t even keep it…

It looks really cheap and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see rytlock do a similar animation in the story campaign.
HoT Price Feedback + Base game included [merged]

When you pre order HoT you are NOT buying the core game as well. You are paying for all of the content that come with the expansion. The core game itself is absolutely FREE with this purchase and is just a added bonus for those who don’t already have the game. If you already own the game then you now have a spare account that you can use for alts(which is a good deal if you don’t want to pay for more character slots), give it to a friend or try out the EU servers if you NA only(reverse if your EU only). The expansion is not in any way over priced for the amount of content that is being supplied with it along with all of the living story updates that will come with it in time. The cost of the Original Guild Wars game $50. Every expansion after that was also $50. Granted those games were stand alone, Guild Wars 2 is not. It is a unique game that is still building is world and story which is why the core game itself is coming with the expansion. The amount of content that is being supplied in the expansion is well worth $50 especially on a game that DOESN’T require a monthly sub.
tl;dr Buy the expansion.
EDIT: Apparently you code that you are supplied with acts as either a HoT upgrade or a new account with HoT. You don’t get a second account but this is still a good deal.

MVP! Thank you!
I was wondering if we can get some previews of the bonuses that are coming with the per-orders. Maybe a video or screen shots of the Revenant finisher, Mordremoth’s Bane Guild Hall Decoration and the glider skin?
Thanks and super excited!
We should all start running a downed build that revolves around us attempting to beat things while downed because that’s where we’ll be after the nerfs hit.
They actually nerfed this as well from 50% to 25%
necros needed a lot of love but got some interesting nerfs instead
THIS MIGHT BE A UNPOPULAR IDEA AND I SPEAK FOR NO ONE BUT MYSELF. This is just a idea of how to balance out high and low mobile professions along with chill and cripple being ignored by mobility skills so please keep a open mind.
I personally think gw2 mobility is a little over the top in terms of how much ground certain professions can cover vs others. It’s nice to have the high mobility when running around maps and open PVE but when it comes down to PvP and W3 I don’t think any profession should be able to significantly outrun any other profession. Reducing the ability for a class to go from melee range to 1200+ units away from you in a second or two might make combat more engaging, challenging especially for low/non mobile classes who can’t chase after them and especially now that chill and cripple will be ignored. Also I think bringing the higher mobile professions down and more in line with the least mobile professions might also reduce some of the lower mobile professions needs for more mobility skills. This is just a example of what time talking about, the number I supplied are just off the top of my head and again it’s just an idea.

The terrace is still packed to this day..
This is why they shouldn’t bring it back. It already has a enough people and the area is so small that putting the pass on sale again will just just ruin it. Instead what they should do is release VIP passes for different cities. Spread it out so it doesn’t turn into the new Lions Arch and becoming this laggy cluster kitten. They have other cities they could do VIP areas in and personally I would buy another one if they made one in Rata Sum.
No transmutation stone means less profit for ANet. So this is not going to happen.
What Anet can do is release a stone like transmutation stone at a reasonable price that allow us to change the stats of a gear. Or even select the stat distribution we want. This will benefit both players and give Anet incentive.
This is the current problem. The way the game functions shouldn’t be so heavily tied into the gem store and players really need to stop telling them to put things into the gem store that should be implemented in the game. There’s a ton of other things they have and can put into the store that makes NCSOFT money. Also you wouldn’t actually need to get rid of Transmutation stones if you went with this idea because if you crafted let’s say ascended armor but you hated the way it looks, you would still need the stones to change skins. The problem with the Transmutation Stones is that there’s 2 different stones when there should only be 1 that covers all levels. Personally I think the idea is something that should be implemented or something similar.
do you have any idea how huge the TP would become?
Do you have any idea how much this game relies on the TP already? It’s easier and less time consuming to farm gold to buy what you need off the TP than it is to just go do it yourself.
Yea the new pick mines sprockets on nodes now.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owLvS1GZudU
That being said does this mean that we are going to see the previous tools updated yielding bonus items as well? The fact that the TP doesn’t say anything about it is a little odd. They could be testing the water with the sprockets for future gathering tools but if that’s the case the previous tools need to be updated to yield either the same item or ones that fit their theme. Molten Picks get Molten Slivers?
Please remove gems from this equation. I shouldn’t have to buy or exchange my gold into gems in order to upgrade my backpack/bank space. This should have been a gold upgrade from the beginning and it just seems like a cheap ploy to make money off of.
You also have a rare chance when opening chests to get an Exotic Mini Pet, which could be very valuable. Some of the crafting mats are also infrequent drops in the world.
why does this sound like you are aware that they are kitten but you just don’t care and who cares about a exotic mini pet. From what I’ve seen there are better things to spend your gold on than mini pets atm. Just get rid of the chests because clearly you are upsetting more people than making happy.
I agree but it’s not so much that they’re being buffed, but rather that they’re being given any attention at all when the other 7 professions all have higher priority bugs that need fixing.
Did you see the list of fixes and buffs for necros? No? Perhaps you were looking at the wrong page then.
Did you not see the unneeded nerfs to classes that needed buffs or the nerfs that just shouldn’t have happened in the first place? No? Perhaps you were looking at the wrong page then.
to simply put it the devs just made a kitten of themselves because they just nerfed us badly because people QQed about how op it was even though it takes like 2 HITS to kill them because they have almost no hp as it is. Either make it so everyone is LOS or remove it from us.
They just need to remove the LOS because it’s the biggest joke ever along with this damage nerf because we need every advantage we can get in pve as it is. I mean if your going to restrict our skills to LOS because of pvp/wvwvw you might as well do it for every class so that there’s no cross fire between the ground and the people on the wall because doing it to just one class is just silly..
Mesmers are a tricky bunch and we like to mind kitten people. So I suggest you read this and get to know us because we aren’t going anywhere. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Non-Mesmers-please-read
So Anet is all this and all that just because each and every one of you doesn’t get exactly what you want? They took an extra step to give you another chance, it’s called gambling for a reason.
The above sums up my opinion. I think some of you guys are judging a bit harshly….this is only act 1. We have no idea what rewards/content the other 3 acts have to offer.
There shouldn’t be this type of gambling in a holiday event at all and it doesn’t matter what the other acts will offer because they can’t exactly turn around and make these skins easily obtainable now cause that would just be shooting us in the face. They should had never been in the BLC to begin with but instead been a individual item you could buy from the shop, a item from a karma merchant or even a random reward from a jumping puzzle in lions arch. Hell they could had even made it a costume brawler champion reward. There were so many other GOOD possibilities than the money hungry method they chose. It’s a bit clear that this event was more of a money maker for them than a event for the community.
I for one spent about 4k gems on keys and got nothing and then flipped all my items in the mystic forge for the about 42 new chests and still got nothing again. Thanks for a memorable Halloween and I for one will be staying clear of the rest of the events and not be buying anything from you unless I know its 100% guaranteed.
Good. If it’s not fun, don’t do it. That will be better for everyone in the end.
That’s not the point I’m making. I actually found all the events to be fun and well done. I just have a gripe with the way they went about distributing these weapon skins. They should had been easily obtainable or sold individually like the witch and mad king costume.
