If this topic has already been posted, I apologize for pestering y’all and for my lack of searching skills.
Since the patch that included the removal of the final Wintersday seller, I’ve been unable to click a hide/unhide button on the headwear of the clothing section.
It’s not a problem with a permanent on – I can always just remove the item. But a couple of my characters/toons had the box unchecked when the patch took effect and now, no matter what I’ve tried, the hats do not show up.
Is this happening to others, or is my account the only lucky one?

Seems to me people are forgetting that you can belong to more than one guild. Keep your small one to do the same stuff you’ve been doing with your friends. Join a large one for the Guild Missions. I would imagine that the guilds that have been going for quantity rather than quality wouldn’t even notice that sometimes you’re not around

There are at least 4 zones you can get it in less than 2 minutes.
- Zone 1: Harithi Highlands
- Zone 2: Shatter Dragon event – Around the area is at least 50 dead bodies
- Zone 3: Cadeon Forest
- Zone 4: Orr
If you have to seriously stand around and wait for NPC to die you should probably level your character a little bit.Yeah, that’s still having to go out of my way. There’s a difference between objectives that are intended to be completed through someone’s normal gameplay and what amounts to a daily ‘scavenger hunt’.
Near as I can tell, the new dailies aren’t meant to be completed through an individual’s normal gameplay unless your gameplay almost exclusively includes WvW or hanging out in Orr.
Except – I do, for the most part, complete the dailies with the way I do play. The only time I’ve ever felt the need to force the issue, is when I’ve missed most of the day and there’s only 1/2 hour until ‘tomorrow’ and I still have a few things to get. If I’ve missed most of ‘today’ I don’t sweat it.
There is, however, an exception. I’d never spent much time dodging. So when that is one of the dailies, I do change the way fight – but not who or where I fight. And I’m finding that I tend to stay alive longer, so I consider this a good thing.

I don’t play PvP or WvWvw, so maybe I’m not the right person to commit on this – but I’m going to anyway
I enjoy the game immensely. I also have problems when playing at 3am – nobody around to help fight the big baddies on Group Events, but I can still run around doing other events and obtaining raw materials and hearts.

And that basically says it all – I’d love to be able to have a more detailed look at my characters without the long delay that is loading them into an area. Especially a place like Lion’s Arch.
I don’t mind the long load time (I know my computer is just barely competent enough to run this game) when I’m planning to be in an area for awhile, but when I’m trying to remember which character has a specific inventory item, or which character has which crafting – and how far they are, well – I’d like to be able to just look without having to load.
Oh – and if you wanted to make an app (preferably for the Kindle HD 8.9), I’d love to have a character creation app, that provides all the races, colors and armor.

First – @Teofa Tsavo – love your signature.
Now, as to the dailies – I was fine with how they were, but I like them even better now.
For the most part, I had no problem getting them before. The biggest change now is that I never worried about dodging. But, I was forced to learn and – lo and behold – I’m now doing it occasionally even when it’s not part of the dailies – and staying alive longer.
As for people going ape-sh&# because of some kind of insane idea that they are owed something from other players in order for them to finish their dailies – I think they should just be ignored – nothing stops a rant faster than no one responding.
That’s my 2-1/2 cents (inflation) at any rate.

First – thank you for your response and for the link.
I believe it’s working, but I won’t know for sure until I’ve loaded the game a few more times. (I thought I’d figured it out before)
But, I didn’t want to wait to thank you and to let you know I’ve read and tried your suggestions.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
Well, sorta.
The game loads, then does this weird flashy thingy. The title bar flashes (as it will when loading a new area) and the screen goes black. But then it keeps flashing back and forth. I can’t hit ALT-F4. ALT-CTRL-DEL will pull up the task manager, but then the screen goes back to flashing the title screen/black screen and I’m unable to get it to do anything else. I’ve also hit the windows key on the keyboard that is suppose to minimize whatever is running. It did nothing.
I’ve tried many different ways of signing off of GW2 (for the times I can load).
For awhile, I could get in (and when I do, the game runs fine), but the next time I’d get this weird error. Now, I have to re-boot 4 or 5 times in a row, before getting in.
If this were any other program, I’d simply uninstall/re-install. But I’m not sure how that would work here.
Thanks for any suggestions.

It’s much more likely that sometime when you weren’t actually at your machine that your account was hacked. It was very common during the first few months. There is no way for you to see this, since both the hacking and the banning occurred between visits. The first responder gave you very good advice.

It’s always been a January 1st (PST) event in GW1
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
For what it’s worth, when I’ve been in a dungeon or personal story, I’ve been given lots of time until patch.
It’s only when I’m in the general world that I only get 3 minutes – which isn’t enough when one is doing a timed Event, but better than nothing

If you’ve only the original to use, Autumn and Jalapeno with Light Gold for accents should work.

Doesn’t everyone giggle manically when they’re killing things – or is that just me?
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
I’m simply here to let y’all know that I am one of those disconnected and unable to sign back in, and I’ve yet to receive a chest.
Thanks for all the effort you’ve put into this problem.
And, quite frankly, having someone responding in the thread relieves much of the frustration. So an extra thank you to Gaile for having to comb through this mess.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
It is in the works, that’s all we know at this point. I know waiting sucks, but we just have to be patient at this point.
I don’t mind if it is still in the works, but after two weeks of no response, it starts to feel like we’re being ignored. All someone has to do is give an update.
I tend to agree – just let us know something, please. Even if it’s a simple we are still trying to resolve the issue. I would be satisfied with that.
Thanks.
(PS: I’m one of those that was disconnected at the end and couldn’t get back in)

You really think they will compensate anyone accordingly? The same people who haven’t fixed 98% of this broken issues with this game after 3 months and have lied to its community at every turn…
I’ve not experienced them lying. As far as I can tell, they’ve been up front with the problems, and I’ve seen improvement.
I wish they’d fix the lag issues that we experienced in Mad King and Lost Shore before Wintersday, but other than that, I’m satisfied that they are trying.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
You can add me to the people who were disconnected during the final part of the final battle and couldn’t log back in.
If the battle had been any kind of fun, I probably wouldn’t be so upset, but between the lag and the ridiculous number of enemies, there was no fun to be had.
Sorry, peoples, but you really need to fix the server problems before your next massive event. Find some way to give people credit for what they’ve done prior to disconnect. And, for heaven’s sake, find another ’can’t log in message’ that doesn’t blame my firewall or router or whatever. It’s not me – not when I was just on – it’s your overloaded servers that prevented me from logging in. You really need a message to indicate that – being told the problem is on my end – when it clearly isn’t – just added to today’s frustration.
I’m not stupid enough to threaten to quit playing – after all the normal game is quite fun – but I’m not sure I want to participate in any more ‘special events’.

Neither Asura nor Charr are hatched. The both (at least to me) appear to be mammals, so it would make sense that they would have boobs.
However – the Sylvari are grown – they don’t procreate, so I can see a more unisex outfit for them, but they have the full range of female clothing. (Personally, I can see the Sylvari not having a gender, but that’s just me)
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
Isn’t the game the game – or is there, somehow, a different build on different servers?
There are skill points, events, etc. that don’t work where I am, but will work if I change server (which I can’t do easily anymore since the 24hr cool-down was put into effect)

Charr Medium Armor - No Playtesting, or just Not Important?
in Charr
Posted by: Amber Malachite.8195
As with the Asuran, I’d like to see Charr females in female armor – just my aesthetic.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
I would prefer to have female asuran armor – even if it means just letting them have the armor (scaled down, of course) that was created for humans/norn/sylvari.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
For what it’s worth, once you’ve dyed a piece of armor, it stays dyed. So in your scenario, you’d only need to dye A and B once. As for C, just make sure you’re wearing A before equipping C for the first time and you should have your desired result.

Thanks – a little too easy for me to figure out I guess
Thanks you very much

I’m trying to get the vehicle from the Dredge.
I’m suppose to fire mortars at the Dredge defenses.
One problem – the mortars are hitting way yonder too far away – the only thing I’ve been able to assault are a couple of does that keep wondering into the area.
Just wondering, is this quest bugged or am I totally missing how to use the thing.
(I can turn right and left – but if I remember my physics correctly – the thing needs to be aimed more toward the ground and I can’t figure out how to do that. And my ‘drinking’ buddy is of no help in this area.)
Thanks, in advance, for any help given.
John 1: 1-5, 9-14, 16-18
Not that important, but several of the scouts that explain the local area don’t have a voice over.
As I said, not that important, but perhaps worth looking into when the big fixes are made.
