I think with the patch vit has become a huge deal now in WvW, my glass mesmer is now 22k hp base and its not even fully maximized (missing ascended gear, weapons or guard buffs since those are going to be removed soon), I have to run a mix of full zerker armor/Valk wpns and 2 soldier trinkets, I’m able to pull 2.6k dmg with bloodlust stacks, 46% crit, 195% ferocity and 2.1k armor, I was surviving the spike of 2 thieves with 3-1k hp left enough for me to pull off. Also anti spike traits should be a must for anyone, especially if you’re romaing or on your own.

But I do agree the damage of some classes are broken that’s why my thief & engie are parked since the patch day.

As far as the clones deal, I can only assume that it works on an entity basis. You reveal because you caused the damage. The mes doesn’t reveal because it was the mob clone that did the damage.

well clones…. they’re not an unrelated entity they are created by mesmer actions… any damage that the clone does is directly related to you… nothing else… if we are following this logic then they should apply reveal buff anyways… I only got a problem with it… there is no consistency ._. and I shouldn’t expect it but geez… it’s kinda annoying cuz I do too think stealth is kinda broken

I honestly think we need a new stat or buff to counter CD DMG & Condition Duration needs a cap of 50%… being able to double your outcome is ridiculously overpowered… that’s why I see the zerker nerf as a bad joke…. -10% srsly? Right now both Condi builds & Zerker builds are able to down targets in less than 5 seconds… we really need more gameplay during fights…

I play all 3 classes that have some kind of stealth, Thief, Mes & Engie but I’m just having trouble on understanding how the reveal buff is supposed to work….

So… I’m able to go on stealth with my thief & cripple or posion my targets around me w/o losing it… with my mesmer I have no problem shattering my leftover illusions on my targets to slow them down somehow (cripple, etc) w/o losing it…. now engies… they are a little more problematic… both Acidic_Coating & Evasive Powder Keg are far from being any friendly with stealth…. I will lose my stealth if any of these trigger ._.

Please a little bit of explanation on how stealth & reveal are supposed to work would be very helpful…

Go to Spvp & look for 1v1 arenas, 1v1 in WvW is a joke is the most handicapped place to do that.

Or just install Windows with BootCamp like I did.

Same thing been happening to me…. but sadly I’m not able to close the game because my screen just goes all fuzzy or something similar to TV static & I have to turn it off manually, I thought it could be my GPU overheating but I’ve been monitoring it and its always under 70 ºC, I’m a graphic designer & this has never happened with Adobe or any other game, so I’m sure is something wrong with GW2.

Right now I’m reinstalling it to see if it helps.

Before you trash engieneer & their so called OP trait I invite you to play it.

Do you even look on how conditions are broken overall? Being able to stack 15+secs of immbolize is ridicoulsy…

Both Diamond Skin & Automated Response are easily bypassed, spending trait points on them it’s not the best option.

Most of WvWer’s are now traited & equipped to fight condition damage… you can tell what is actually broken.

WvW is not about 1v1 nor is tpvp or spvp.

The funny thing about this is how necros are crying about it, everytime a cheesy build is in the line of danger or gets easily countered every bad player will jump to defend it in anyway haha

It is an ascended piece which should require some time and effort. But its very easy to obtain, people already have it.

Within 5 days, I hit level 500 on LW, created my vision crystal, and saved enough gold for the Icy Runes. EASY!

I think the time gated mats are the hardest part cause you have to wait

When you start to craft, its actually easier than you think!

I was running 10 water: no cleanse with 10 in water anymore. Heal on crit food, knights gear. He’s also using chill on crit. Was partied with a yaks bend ranger to duel him when this child attacked.

I don’t think its so much the necro, but more the Guardian assisting the necro, Conditions build can be nasty no matter who you are if you’re getting 12-25 stacks of might from a Guardian.

You have 25 stacks of might during that as well, I don’t think people realize how bloody powerful that is unless they’ve played a Condition Build.

I’d absolutely melt people if I ran around with 25 stacks of Might on my Ranger, and its part of why the old HGH Engineer Builds were so nasty.

and that’s just might, I’m not including the Protection you’re getting, or the constant Regen. Having a Necro also I know that fighting outnumbered like that would most likely end in death so its not so much the Necro but that Guardian there helping that Necro. Guardian + Anything is going to be a nasty Duo in the end and people shouldn’t say one class is overpowered in that case.

I get more dragonite per hour from the wintersday boxes from players I kill than I do capping keeps in wvw.

I was about to suggest this. If you buy a bunch of boxes and sell everything else you get, you should come very close to breaking even (there is some RNG in there though). Last time I did this I wound up making 30g over the cost of the boxes (ty mini).

Dragonite is FAR easier to obtain in PvE. Emp frags are obtainable in decent quantity in WvW though (thankfully). If you need to make up the difference you’ll need to go do PvE temples for 30+ free rare + chest for pushing 1 then going afk for 5 mins… so at least that’s not hard… just sucks that it doesn’t come naturally in WvW.

As far as why WvW is so poorly rewarded… idk, but it might have something to do with the PvE players being the big gem buyers.

They do seem to care about WvW rewards… a little but don’t want it to be on par with PvE rewards.

Badges are like the red headed stepchild of tokens.

PvE token rewards -> no gold cost, can be salvaged/forged
WvW badge rewards -> gold cost, can not be salvaged/forged

I would be fairly happy if they increased the dragonite and just let us salvage out our runes (even if no ectos were given) : /

Btw, does anyone know why they stopped letting us forge WvW PVT gear?

if I’m not wrong you can forge weapons that cost badges but not those that cost gold + badges but yeah still a bad deal lol

People I’m not looking a way to remove zergs from WvW, they’re part of it my point is that a trap with this kind of functionality could help to deal easier against them, every server will QQ whether if they get owned by ACs or getting zerged

Keep in mind that this comes down to GvG fights & to be honest that depends on who is smarter when using it, but it will be a huge incentive for pug zergs when facing guilds, not every server out there is built in WvW guilds.

+ Knowing how egocentric & “honorable” WvW guilds can be… I doubt they will use it too often lol.

I’m pretty sure this kind of traps will cause a mess in any zerg, having a few casualties is all what you need to make a zerg pull off, I’ve seen it before & the 15sec penalty will make you think twice before stacking might & wasting all your stability skills.

I got nothing against big blobs thought! but I really think there should be ways to spoil game modes in WvW, like stealth traps which usually comes down to a single thief… or a golem trap for golem rushes.

This traps removes every buff from enemies when activated. Unable to buff for the next 15 seconds. Costs 10 supply to deploy.

So I was thinking we still need more traps I once saw a golem thing few months ago, my proposal is to punish blobs frontline with this kind of traps, we usually see big blobs being able to push all the way thanks to stability, somehow this could easily deal with that, what do you think? Obviously it will be capped to a # of enemies.

And yes I know the consumable already exists, I’m just suggesting its effect.

D/P Basilisk/Backstab/22222 is the most popular. Seen them in pretty much every server. It works so I don’t see what the problem is. And of course -thieves- will bail if it doesn’t work. Dying and losing stacks is just dumb, lol.

LOL, you may not like it, but lets just face that one fact and move on. group to group over all your not too bad, not too good. SBi is alittle better in many of the fights 20vs15, or 30 vs 20, whatever the chemistry of the groupage seemed to be, they just got ya there. But I stand by my post, YB is a whole lot better than SBI when it comes to using, deploying, and keeping siege in captured resources. and no matter what 2v1 and whatever, that little fact has tipped the scales of two pretty even servers, that and eb’s server philosophy thus far. Sure we have some good siege users, but we don’t have enough, sure we have a good keep tapper, but we don’t have enough. that may be true on a lot of the tier2 servers, but against the tactics displayed thus far, we at SBI have a little work to do still, that’s all, and so does YB in the open field stuff.

Don’t confuse better with more, if by being better you mean having more guilds who do WvW is different, I spent most of the time in YBBL where we faced RISE, Abys & BEAST a lot, they usually ran together or split and they fought against pug zergs, no offense but how you compare open field battles is way too poor.

When you see your biggest guilds facing FA ones you should take notes, not when facing pug zergs.
