Next elite spec for elementalist?

They need something special in the new expansion.
Last time they had a new Class + Specializations.
This time they need something else apart from Specializations… so I wouldn’t
be surprised to see new weapons for every class that don’t exist as of now.

For my ele I would like a dual whip or a 2h greataxe.

If they don’t introduce new weapons then it must be swords!
And a stealthy ele would fit extremely good … an ele that can change the light und thus make himself invisible

New profession (heavy with offensive magic)
New weapons (i want a real battle mage with Double sword greataxe and greatsword and whip! )
New zones
Expand wvw make maps bigger and unique borderlands not the Same map for each realm. … they need to be bigger with more keeps that will prevent zergs because it won’t be as effective. Also no fast travel in wvw maps that will also prevent zergs cause they will take longer to travel between keeps that way Small groups are more effective

Well, I think Rune of Hoelbrak is a pretty good alternative…
Although they need to give the Hoelbrak Rune #4 the +15 might duration like rune of stremgth or -15% condition duration… then there would be a pretty good alternative…

Hey Anet, I like the changes, although some of them don’t make sense for me. For example Rune of Hoelbrak vs Rune of Strength.
They are pretty much the same, yet Rune of Strength get a 45% might duration and Hoelbrak only 30%… I think Rune of Hoelbrak needs to be on par with Rune of Strength otherwise it’s just a cheap version of Rune of Strength…

+25 Power
+10% Might Duration
+50 Power
25% chance when struck to gain might for 10 seconds. (Cooldown: 5 seconds)
+100 Power
+20% Might Duration; -20% Condition Duration applied to you.

Either give Hoelbrak the 15% might duration bonus like Rune of Strength or tweak it otherwise like #4 Bonus get’s -15% COndition duration or #4 applies 15 sec might instead of 10… that would add to the diversity, don’t make a cheap replica of rune of strength…

Yeah I know that 250 are 1 stack… that doesn’t answer the question…. i should be able to buy more than 1 stack at once…
but even if they don’t make that happen… they could AT LEAST fix the buy orders…. everytime I make an order of the same item the whole thing resets… so that I have to type the amount and the price over and over again… at least fix it so that it doesn’t reset all the time… it’s just plain stupid and inconvenient….

Hey everyone,
I only wanted to know why it’s only possible to buy/sell 250 of a specific item.
I buy/sell pretty much on the TP and it’s really frustrating to buy 10.000 mithril ore that way… I would really appreciate it if Anet would fix it, so that I can buy 10.000 or whatever number at once.
Does anyone know if there is a change planned? couldn’t be hard to make that change…

For me, capes are a must have in a game like GW2….
I really don’t get it why they didn’t implement it already…
Because of the charr? Hey…. If they don’t want to use them, then they shouldn’t… There is no reason that everyone else have to suffer for it!
Capes were always part of the human culture so if you say Charr doesn’t wear them because of their heritage or whatever , you also have to explain why the other races don’t wear them….

Well… I have a Incinerator and it really doesn’t feel legendary… when I compare it to my Sunrise… well they are miles apart…
The biggest problem… it’s in no way unique… it has the same effects as rodgort, and that’s a real shame…. U can’t create legendary weapons and be so lazy to copy and paste the effects of a LEGENDARY weapon… that’s an absolute no go…

They need to change both incinerator and rodgort to make them unique and feel like they are unique…

This would be a Aura i’d like to see on incinerator, although I would tweak the flames to resenmble the colour of incinerator (At the botoom blue and on top orange)

Granted, the weapon skin itself is really nice, but the effects are the worst in game, cause it’s not unique and the flame on the hand is rather unimpressive

Well, there were no changes and honestly, footfalls alone don’t cut it….
Legendaries need to be special and unique, yet incinerator and rodgort have the exact same effects?! that can’t be it….
They are the worst legendaries because they are simply not special and unique
The footsteps even look almost the same as the predator, yet at least the predator has an awesome aura and n1 projectiles.

They need to tweak both, incinerator and rodgort. Unique footsteps (at least make them a LITTLE different) and unique auras (the incinerator has already a n1 flame with orange blue and yellow in it… make that as a whole body aura and make it like flames erupting from the whole body…)

Well they may think they are ok as they are, but are they?
I mean legendaries are supposed to be unique, yet they both have the exact same effects…. they are the worst legendaries if you ask me….

They both need unique footsteps and auras just like they did with the predator.
The current aura is the worst in game :P
pls Anet make them both unique!

You say the whole time that we need at least twice your number in ordner to win with luck…
When you see our 70 man Blob you just need 36 ppl that’s not much… I see them all the time… I don’t see your problem, as you are clearly superior to us as u say the whole time. You need lees ppl and you get more lootbags because all you see is our corpses as you pointed out several times.
And yeah we are clearly the ones that are trolling no doubt. You are superior, you never EVER blob and the earth is flat……

Just salvaged 500 rare and got 286 ectos…. Normally I get 440-470 out of them
It could be bad luck but if so many people had the same results it could have been changed by Anet or it is a bug

Yeah that’s a really good argument and contributes to the topic….
YOU should also keep in mind that there are many foreign people in the Forum (just like me)
And as far as I know, it is common to use “U” instead of “you”….
Nevertheless, I’m excited to see these changes and I hope we don’t have to wait too long (hopefully these changes will go live later this year)
There are already good suggestions for the scavenger hunt. Keep it up and Anet might consider implementing them

That’s the beauty of the new patch….
Anet wanted more viable builds and less Bunker builds… So they nerfed our escape ability and survivability…. Oh how mysterious because of that people were forced to go more into bunker … how can that be?!

It’s sad but it’s nowhere as near fun as it was before…
I always played d/d because of it’s mobility. Now I somewhat feel very limited as it comes to mobility and there are no specs left except bunker and i hate bunker builds….
So no… no fun at all either I re roll or I’ll play another game until they fix it

well I actually have a lvl 80 thieve and escaping with him is reeeeeaaaaly no problem at all =)

No condition removal?
-Shadow return (sword)
-withdraw (or hide in shadow if u want to cure bleeding poison etc.)
- roll for initiative
-shadow return (utility)
-shadows embrace (trait)

yeah ele has better ways to cure conditions but thief is not bad at all in it…. and it sure as hell is enough to escape

I thought you meant immobilize the Ele and was about to say how pointless that is, then I realized you meant thief. Yeah, thieves have garbage condition removal. That would end any of their mobility quite easily.

And no, stealth isn’t as good as you pretend it is if you know how it works.

As an Ele, I solo roam WvW and get in plenty of 1v1, 2v1, 3v1, or even zergv1 and I have NEVER been killed. Sure, I have lost plenty of fights, but I can ALWAYS run away. It was fun at first, but it’s pretty obviously unbalanced.

If you lose, people should be able to kill you.

Do you even read what you write? You say thieves are ok and ele’s not…. It’s ok to vanish as a thieve and run away when you lose and for ele it’s not…. yeah that really makes sense…

And sinse when have thieves bad condition removal? At least crippe or stun effects are useless on thieves… they have tons of ways to remove it…….
And thieves vanish all the time when they are losing ah yeah…. you already said thieves are by definition mobile and sneaky and should be able to…. but in that case I don’t understand your last sentence…. lol think before u write man!

I have the incinerator on my ele… but as it is right now there is nothing special about it…
It’s not even unique …. footsteps are also on predator and rodgort… even the flame hand is exactly as on rodgord……

It really needs some changes that makes it unique…. Also it has to be more recognizeable…. A nice aura like solar flames around the player… In a way like bolt but with fire….
And who needs footsteps…. it’s incinerator it should make a fire swath =)
The special ele skills on it also need a real redesign…. the normal skills are even better theres nothing legendary about them… but I think they will make it in time…. fingers crossed

I’m curious, could anyone of the Anet Dev’s give us a list of the legendaries that are being looked at?
Many ppl. want to start their legendary farming and don’t know if the current design will be changed.
As it is, many legendaries need some rework.
For me it’s incinerator. I like daggers, but as it is right now, incinerator is not worth the trouble. It has the exact same effects as rodgord and it’s not noticeable at all when it’s not drawn.
I would like to know if I can expect a rework on that legendary, so that I could start to farm for it.
Some legendaries already had their redesign, but last patch there were no changes so im curious if u are already done with your redesign….
The aura of the predator for example was a really nice change, I would love to see something like that on the incinerator, but also when it’s not drawn so that it becomes noticeable….

Guild Mission help not rewarding

Hey everyone,
I have a problem with the current guild mission system.
They are rewarding for the guild that startet it, but there seems to be no reason for other players to help the guild completing the mission.
I helped a guild completing the bounty hunt and I thought it would be rewarding since the system should work as a advertisement for the guild. But I just got the normal event reward a little xp and karma… there seems to be no reason for other players to help the guild in their mission. The event is harder than normal events but the reward is the same… why ?!
As soon as people realize that… no one will help the guilds because it’s just a waist of time…
What do you think? Is it ok as it is or should it be more rewarding maybe in form of a chest drop?

Thx I tried it out and the tool tip is actually false. it really stacks.
Although I have to ask if u tried Phantasm haste. I can’t notice any difference in the attack speed of the phantasms. They attack on the same recharge time (I cast phantasmal beserker and when the recharge time is at 4.7 or 4.8 they attack a second time with or without the trait “phantasmal haste”) sry for all the questions, these traits are just a little odd…

Ah ok thx 4 the answer =) Although they should actually write that in the skill description…

One more question… “Illusionists Celerity” affects at least 2 weapon skill with every combo and also the clone or phantasm utility skills. Is it intended that it doesn’t stack with lets say greatsword master or blade training?
Because with the 5th minor I have 2 of 4 weapon skills with shorter recharge, so greatsowordtraining for example loses much improtance… in fact i would only trait it for the +50 might because mind stab is garbage and 6 seconds on illusionary wave is also no reason to trait it…

Hey everyone!
I have a problem with Illusionists Celerity and Phantasmal Haste.
When I trait the 5th minor “Illusionists Celerity” I get a 20% faster recharge on every clone or phantasm. When I trait “Phantasmal Haste” nothing happens, because it doesn’t stack. Is it bugged?

I mean if it isn’t, there is no sense in traiting phantasm haste, because there are no utilities or weapon skills that benefit from it when it doesn’t stack… I always trait “Illusionists Celerity” when I want to trait phantasm haste, because it’s the 5th minor…

Be careful transmuting. If the sword is no longer legendary, then when the ascended swords come out it may not automatically update its stats.

As far as I know that’s no longer the case. I read somewhere that it will keep the legendary status. Just try something: Transmute the skin of a green weapon on the stats of a blue weapon, when the new weapon has rarity green you’re good to go

well… what do you want to hear it’s a matter of taste…

I like sunrise much more than twilight especially on females.
2 reasons:
1. My character is dyed in brightt colours, with the light hue of sunrise it looks amazing, if I would wear a twilight I would dye my character dark and that’s not my style.
2. I see much more characters with twilight than sunrise so twilight is nothing special for me…

Mind Stab could really use a buff.

I don’t like it either…
Self root is a pain in the kitten and the radius is pathetic….
I would rework it copletely….
Self root could be solved with a new animation. The mesmer slashes at it’s current position the GS just like the illusionary wave animation. At the same time the illusionary GS will appear at the position where your ground target is and slashes in the same manner.
In that case the self root would be solved and the radius would also be bigger….

Remove conjure weapons completely and give us an extra weapon slot where we can put 1 of the weapon types that are already conjured weapons into.
They would have the exact skills as the conjured weapons but without charges and we could use the skin we want. They would still only have 5 possible skills so it wouldn’t be OP, but it would now be possible to equip both, long and short range weapons so that we can adept to the situation without wasting a utility slot….

? Twilight and SUNRISE are legendary weapons… look at the TP and the rarity type… it clerly states LEGENDARY.
They don’t count as legendary weapons on the achievement due to a bug that will be fixed somtime soon….

I hope they improve the effects in one of the 2 following updates…
Incinerator has now the exact effects as rodgort… that’s really lazy and not legendary at all….
Also, you don’t notice incinerator at all when it’s not drawn…. there need to be more effects….

It would be like bolt but with a theme that would fit to incinerator and it would finally be noticeable and really legendary

As rodgort and incinerator have the same footsteps, it would be nice if they would change them too. Maybe something that looks like a lava lake
