Ranger was my first profession I got to 80, but then I tried necromancer, I rarely die as a necro and am able to face and defeat large groups of mobs with all my minions. Minions seem so much sturdier than ranger pets. It’s now my most fave class I enjoy it heaps better than ranger.

But minions can’t be controlled and often run ahead like ranger pets, but it doesn’t matter as necro seems very capable on taking on groups. I find necro very fun and it has replaced my ranger as my main character.

Edit: so far I’ve levelled my necro to lvl 65.

I have 1 character of each race. I thought Sylvari were my fave, but they say the stupidest things, so my charr has now become my most fave.
Asura would be my least fave.

I don’t see any point to buying town clothes, you can’t wear them out of town, so it seems a waste. Besides that town clothes are boring looking. I have yet to see any town clothes that has made me think wow that is gorgeous I have to have that.
And why riding clothes we don’t have mounts?

Unfortunatley helms and hats instantly replace hair. It seems like they got lazy and never put in the graphic to include both hair and helm at the same time.

Even though Iam bored with GW2 and don’t play it anymore. As too much in the game annoys me, such as cheesy poorly done story, bugs and continual goofy dialogue from your character.

I have to say even playing it for 3 months is good value for money. And I don’t regret buying it as I did enjoy playing it for a while.

I’ve never had this problem before. I returned to GW2 after a months break I was able to play fine on the weekend.

But today I try and play and it’s lagging like crazy, I see my abilities flashing on the bar as I use them but it seems to take forever before they are used. Everything is laggy including how long it takes to loot a corpse.
And it lists my fps as 132.

GW2 is unplayable for me with all this lag.

Edit: I know it’s just GW2 as Iam able to play other games fine without any lag.

Iam currrently a poster, but will be a player again once I complete the games I got in the Steam sale. I wont play as much though and will only play Gw2 when Iam bored and don’t have much else to play.

I got a PM from a gold seller too. I immediately reported it.

Besides in game, they’ve now decided to harass people on the forums as well.

I deleted it as I hate hats in this game since they replace hair and make you bald.

This is the first MMO I quit after 3 months. Most other MMO’s I’ve played at least a year before taking a break.

I did return and would play for an hour or 2 most days, but after steam sales I’ve been playing those games I got cheap, much more fun. I haven’t logged in to GW2 since Xmas day. I feel like I don’t miss the game much and may only return if bored.

Gw2 just seems hollow and empty offering little reward for your efforts. Nothing ever feels epic or exciting. And personal story is very lame and poorly executed. Gw2 to me went from something fun and new to just something I play when bored and don’t have any other games to play.

Main Lvl 80 Ranger: 64 deaths divided by 269 hours = 0.237

Lvl 50 Guardian: 39 deaths, 86 Hours = 0.453 dph

Lvl 50 Necromancer: 34 Deaths, 90 Hours = 0.377

Lvl 50 Warrior: 49 Deaths, 99 Hours= 0.494

Lvl 48 Thief: 39 Deaths, 74 Hours= 0.527

I can understand why people like to play as a healer, but Iam glad GW2 got rid of that role. I found being a healer very boring.

so in other MMO’s with the trinity system I would never choose a class that was able to heal. As when I had a Cleric the guild always wanted me to make a 2nd heal build for when they couldn’t find a healer even though my main build was for dps. I always ended up being their healer, otherwise we couldn’t do a dungeon. I was so bored.

Favourite: Norn I found the quests over all much more fun.
Least Fave: Charr many quests were tedious and I did not like the area much at all.

I think it’s good that Anet are trying to do the right thing. Well done.
I missed out on the event as Iam Asutralian and it happened 4am my time. But I did log in as soon as I could and checked around the island, but it was over.

I thought I would log in today to check and no mail recieved signal, so I just clicked on my mail icon, nothing new and then all of a sudden up came a new mail with the chest.
I felt so surprised and got a few exotics and rares, a 20 slot bag as well as some high end craft items.

So those saying you missed out have you clicked on your mail icon? As for me the chest didn’t appear until I clicked on the mail.

I stopped playing, but always check the forums every morning to see if anything has changed or improved.

3. Why / What caused the decline in time spent?

I was sick of limited one time events that Iam not able to participate in as they happen at 4am my time, they should not exclude anyone in what is considered a global game. I get the impression Anet don’t care about customers they lie, lack communication and don’t show that they are improving the game in anyway. The game is still full of buggy broken events.

One time events are what made me stop playing. Before that I was playing since Beta. 3 months is the shortest time it’s taken for me to stop playing an MMO that I’ve liked, pretty much most other MMO’s I’ve played for at least a year.

But even though I don’t play I check the forums most days to see if ANet has improved anything. They seem like uncommunicative mutes though.

I wasn’t even able to take part hardly, NPC’s were missing I found it buggy and frustrating and the last phase not at all as it was too short and doesn’t fall at a suitable time in my time zone.

I think it’s silly to say free content. People bought the game and a lot also buy gems which probably pay for what you call free content. Nothing in this world is free.

And if people aren’t happy it is their right to complain as long as it’s constructive and helps to adress what needs to change or be improved.

Although I agree that the event was poorly tested and executed. Let us not forget that this game is free to play. If they charge us what, 15-20$ a month like wow, I’m sure they would have Public Test Servers as well as 24/7 customer service.

I hope the game doesn’t suffer too much loss after this weekend.

It’s not really free to play, I usually buy gems every month in support of what I thought was a great game. These one time events aren’t great they are lame.

Iam in Australia. I think having one off events are going to alienate those who miss out. As there are also people in the suitable time zone that have to work.
I felt annoyed that I missed out on a boss fight and a chance at some nice loot.

Iam on the verge of quitting, if you don’t learn that people hate one time events and continue to have them Iam not going to bother with GW2 or any other ArenaNet games. It gives me the impression you don’t care about your customers. And I wont bother wasting any more time playing or money on buying gems.

I’d rather pay a monthly sub for better content that you don’t miss out on.

I dislike this one time event decision too. It has made me feel frustrated that I don’t get to take part as Iam from Australia. I missed out on the last boss fight and a chance to get some nice loot. I feel like Anet doesn’t care about anyone who isn’t American.

I’d buy gems every month as a way of supporting what I thought was a great company and game. But I feel what’s the point when Anet doesn’t care about some of it’s customers.

Iam not going to spend anymore money on this game if Iam missing out on content, I will not buy anymore gems or invest in furture expansions until they get rid of one time events.
I can’t get anyone I know interested in playing as they said what’s the point in buying a game to miss out on stuff.

I removed this skill from my warriors skill bar as it was too annoying.
But still there are people in LA who continualy spam this.

Makes me wonder how are friends going to trial with you if most the servers are full?

I think you must mean the POI which is not on top of the hill it’s actually underground
in the vault crypts.

The best way I can say to get there is from Vir’s Gate Waypoint, just head east along the path and you will find the stairs going down to the vault, once underground just follow the path to the POI.

I loved the Norn starting area, probably my fave. The Char zone was my least fave.
Norn area just better overall.

From my experience one time events don’t matter so much if you miss them. They always start 3am WA time for me and I will never miss out on sleep for a game.

Pigs are the worst ranger pet. I find their Forage ability useless.
Also the only pet type where each different pig have no variation in the f2 skill. They all have forage which is exactly the same as each other.

I like to swap around my pets and pigs are the only pets I never use.

They should of made better variety and have different pigs have different f2’s Such as:
I’d rather the warthog have charge. The pig should have a mud roll ability where they can evade attacks. Maybe even a squeel to stun the enemy.

The only MMO I’ve played with point and click to move was lineage 2 and I hated it, I quit that game after only a couple of weeks.

I use the mouse to move around as well as my belkin game pad and have no problems with moving and using skills. I only ever use my keyboard for typing and not game controls.

Get a game pad and a good mouse and you’ll have no problems. Just relying on a keyboard isn’t very good.

Sea of Sorrows was designated the unofficial Australian/Oceanic Server.
Though Isle of Janthir also has plenty of Aussies.

But pretty much any server has some Aussies.
Iam an Aussie and am on Crystal Desert.
On my server I have noticed a couple of Aussie/Oceanic guilds. Apathy and Awe.

There is also a very large Aussie guild on Stormbluff Isle with around 400 members called Downunder.

I just noticed this today on my human female when she obtained a witches hat.

The appearance of town/costume hats is horrible what it does to your character. She wears the witches hat but you can see her lower back of her head beneath the hat is totally bald and removed of any hair.

It looks ugly.

This should be improved. So that they still have hair and are not bald when wearing hats.

I didn’t buy any keys or any halloween stuff. I only buy $10 of gems a month and spent my gems on bank space and traded a bit of in game curency for the usual mini pets at the begining of the month so had no gems left for halloween.
And I did not want to spend anymore money.

I do gamble but not for pixels. I’d rather spend some money to buy real lotto for a chance to win real money.

I did get 1 key from a drop, but the chest had no skin.

Oh I see, it does look actually like a bug.

I had 4/5 and had thought I only haven’t done the clock tower. But I realised I had only done one of the pvp events the Lunatic one and not reapers. So After I played 1 game of Reapers I then had the achievement and title.

People on 4/5 probably haven’t done a full PvP game. As Just entering the PvP and exiting does not give the achievement, you have to fully play at least 1 game to the end as in get the score card come up.

Ask some higher lvls to take you through. What server are you on? My characters lvl 70 and I’ll help you if you’re on the same server. Iam on Crystal Desert.

Halloween was quite fun. I enjoyed most of it.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it was confusing and I had to look up guides to find out what to do.

I hated the clock tower as Iam the kind of person that likes to relax and take my time. And if I have to rush I panic and get stressed and am guaranteed to make mistakes and fail when Iam in a panic. It was also hard to see with all the other people there.

After 20 mins I didn’t bother anymore as it’s not worth the time or hassle. I play for fun, not to get stressed or frustrated.

Crafted items sell for hardly anything and you would be spending more than you’d make to craft. It’s best to sell mats.

Then once you get to max lvl 80 it’s much easier to take up a crafting profession if you want as you’re bound to have a decent amount of gold by then.

A lot of voice affects are horrible. My main is a sylvari and my partner who doesn’t play Gw2 was like why does that dog keep barking in your game?

Human female even worse with the noise she makes when wielding greatsword.

Who in the sound department chose these horrible sounds, they should be fired or at least get their ears cleaned out.

Iam very shy and have social anxiety. Every guild I join Iam not suitable for as they only communicate by TS and never by typing and expect everyone to do the same. So I feel left out and never get to know anyone.

Iam too shy to use TS and no one seems to understand how I feel and just say there is no need to be shy. It’s not something I can control.

This guild does sound great. But Iam probably on the opposite side of the world from everyone else and want to know what time do you have events and dungeon runs? As even though the guild sounds great, there’s no point joining if no ones ever around when Iam.

Why did they say one time surprise you don’t want to miss? They made it sound very important and over hyped.

I felt annoyed that I’d miss out but then reached a point where I decided who cares it’s only a game.

I check the net 8am and find out it was just a cut scene. They should of said a 1 time cut scene that way those in other time zones or those working wouldn’t of got so worked up about it.

I don’t care if I miss out on a cut scene. As long as it’s not a 1 time Dynamic event or achievements.

In the east coast is going to be 6am on Monday. Even if I decide to get up you know what’s going to be the worst thing? There is going to be an epic lag and won’t really experience the event because everyone will try to be in LA in that moment.

If you are referring to the east coast of the USA, you’ve made a serious miscalculation. The event is going to be at Noon PDT, when means it will be 3 in the afternoon Sunday on the east coast, NOT 6 in the morning Monday.

Even though this game seems to revolve around the US, doesn’t mean he’s talking about the east coast of the US. There are other countries in the world even though Aanet seems to forget they exist.

He means East Coast Australia the country that is neglected and always forgotton by game companies.

It is confusing. Read the clues after you find the ghost next to the person who gives you the scanner. I figured out the first clue but am stumped about the 2nd.

There are raw candy corn nodes you can mine for candy corn. Not sure if it’s available in every zone as I found it in Caledon Forest.

I have over 100 chests and don’t bother to buy keys, I’d rather buy bank space, mini’s and dyes. So any chests I get now I just toss as they aren’t worth putting up on TP.

I have gotten a few keys from story. Chests don’t contain anything amazing anyway.

Lvl 15 to 25 zones such as brisban Wildlands.

I want to eventually make a legendary weapon. Simply for something to do when bored. The Shortbow is the weapon I use most. Sure I loved unicorns and my little pony when I was 13.

But 2 decades later my tastes have changed. And I think the dreamer looks so stupid. Not worth the effort, time or gold to make. I hope they will eventually make more legendary shortbows that don’t look like something only a 13 year old would be pleased to weild.
