It actually brings it down the point where it’s ALMOST not worth using heal signet because of it’s downsides (No anti-burst, weak to poison).

But whatev, people won’t be happy until Warriors are back to being unplayable.

Other than when you’re saying they weren’t playable at all, they just required more skilled players to use them, they just weren’t optimal to bring in pvp anymore. With healing signet even with their “nerf” it will continue to be probably the easiest class to pick up and succeed with.

why don’t we just dumb it down to 4 sets, PowVT, ConD VT, PreVT, and CritD, call it a day…. maybe instead of getting all fancy why not add soft caps and hard caps to precision and crit dmg, even fury cant make you pass the hard cap and receive DR from soft cap. Whatever they do, the people that number crunch everything and set the pve standards will shortly figure out the new best, and things will go back to as they were. You gonna complain if it switches to a condi meta that all they do is kite the boss while it dies? no one gets hit because its spam immob/crippled while everyone hides out of range/behind reflects or blocks?

I’d rather them look at this lol tanky condi meta crap thats going on in pvp. Its not like the only posts in lfg are zerker only ping gear, you all try to make it sound like you cant get groups ever.

And I’m sorry either power or condi dmg deserves to be on gear, sure mix and match the other 2 but make sure one or the other is on the gear. Gonna allow just Vit Tough gear? boosted stats so warriors can just hit 4k+ armor and like 35k+ health pools? Sit full adrenaline with healing sig, melandrus runes and lemon grass… don’t forget until they split wvw and pve one effects the other and vice versa.

You’re all whining and complaining about people who want to play optimal(got a hint for you, they will keep doing so regardless of what you do), because everythings “viable” but people want optimal.

Ok people let’s get something straight: DPS means damage per second. I play with conditions so I try as much as possible to make a build with the highest condition DPS as possible. YES, conditions DO DAMAGE PER SECOND! (aka DPS) wow! what an incredible discovery for zerkers! I bet you didn’t know that, right? It’s incredible right? I can go as high as 5000 DAMAGE PER SECOND with my conditions! Wow! Incredible huh? And then I can spread these conditions with a skill called epidemic to 5 other targets, making my 5000 DPS to 6×5000=30000 DAMAGE PER SECOND! (and they say conditions aren’t good – yea right)

BUT if the 25 cap is reached and I’m NOT ALLOWED to stack 25 bleads, fire, poison, fear and torment I can’t do that damage! I only want to BE LET BE ANET TO REACH IT! Is that such an unreasonable request? Zerkers have no such impairment! Zerker have no damage limitations! You all keep saying that zerkers are full ofensive! Well SO AM I! But instead of damage i go condition damage! If I go full offensive build with my necro and the cap is reached WTF can I do? just sit there and watch other people do damage as I sit quietly in a corner waiting for those stacks of bleed to go down so I can inflict my real condition damage? All those zerkers if they are building their zerk setup they should be stripped of condition damage cause they inflict NONE anyway and let condition builds do their jobs!

That’s why I want the condition cap removed! So in a team, if there are 2-3 condition builds THEY CAN INFLICT DAMAGE AS THEY ARE BUILD TO DO!!!!!!!! (like zerkers)

Issue with condi’s is how other players can effect the conditions, as well you have a longer wind up time than anything zerker. Not to mention most places where epidemic is useful the mob/mobs would be dead before you hit an appropriate amount of conditions to spread using epidemic. Maybe if anet made it so the strongest condition always remains on but when a weaker one is attempted to be applied the different percentage of dmg is taken out of the duration and then the remaining duration is added to the lowest remaining duration of the condition if it stacks or just adds if it doesn’t stack(dmg condi ticking for 300 for 5s, someone applies a bleed that would deal 100 for 3s, instead 1s is added to lowest duration remaining 300 bleed, ONLY if the stacks are maxed, however a stronger condi will just override a weaker condi no increased duration). Not sure how well I worded that but I hope its understandable.

I actually agree with many of the things you stated, but no, “noob” is not related to “play how you want” as you insult those players. Ironically, you are also PLAYING HOW YOU WANT by being a min/maxer, and that’s fine too. Every player should play how they want, without being bullied for it-it’s the darned bullying and belittling in these forums and in-game that I strongly and forever will oppose (a hopeless battle, as it seems players love to deride each other in here.)

Of course experienced players adapt their builds/skill slots and gear for encounters/Dungeons/etc.-IF they have the pieces or weapons-for the content. But not necessarily in order to mix/max, and you implied (at least in your previous post)that by not min/maxing or using a more “efficient” build, a player is actually being a noob, as sadly you want to insult them as (does it make you feel better? I don’t get the point of calling someone else a noob, really, other than an ill-placed feeling of superiority somewhere.)

I actually do agree as well-and have ALWAYS stated as much-that if you don’t like speedrunning, don’t join the darned groups. Why drink poison and then complain you got poisoned? That’s why I myself avoid them, even if I have the “required gear” or knowledge of the Dungeon (not all speedrunners are jerks of course! But I rather minimize the chance of meeting one or two by not joining such groups.)

I am sorry for my strong stance on the issue-it’s not personal, as it’s more of a community problem that strongly bothers me (I know you not, nor was I trying to insult you.) It makes the game look horrible to new players, as it shouldn’t, because there are friendly players everywhere-but this constant ridicule against some players for playing this or that way I am sure is intimidating to many.

Main part I just want to point out is I like playing tanky, always have, always will. However, when I’m going into a dungeon, how I want to play should be less relevant than what needs to be done, you’re no longer just affecting yourself, but four others. It seems so many people agree about both sides of things, why not make friends and run content together how you both want. Just remember with randoms, generally the safest way to deal with PuGs is to get it over with as fast as possible, because a long rough run, someone breaks, they almost always do. Also, even though I enjoy number crunching, when it comes to making gold in game, don’t we all want to make it as fast as possible usually? I know I do….

While I can understand the element of skill you are trying to illustrate, its hard to justify that as being skill when the enemies can not adequately fight back. If they could then zerkers would find themselves downed often, just like they do in pvp and wvw.

Why? Why should skillful play be punished? Why should smart and timely execution of the players skills not result in more rewarding gameplay?

Lowering a game’s skillcap — especially one that is already relatively low to begin with — is bad design. Until people take this into consideration, they are just arguing around the issue.

The skill cap was higher in gw1 and it intelligently incorporated damage, support and control.

I’m not sure how you are using timed execution as a display of skill. When the mobs attacks are completely predictable and slow. It would be much more understandable if the mobs were quick and unpredictable similar to players in pvp then your use of timing skills would be justified.

I hope you’re talking pre GW:EN GW1 or not about GW1 PvE after that point, because it was afk easy. Just random idea that occurred to me, make certain boss attacks unavoidable but able to be interrupted(not a 1 shot skill, but if it hits, still hits for like 40% health and reduces healing received significantly for close to the cooldown of that skill), but in order to interrupt need certain amount of toughness(have a weapon skill on certain weapon sets for each class scale % chance to interrupt with toughness)? Giving the “tank” stat value, and just leaving the vitality stat as the in case i mess up cushion. Remove active defense, guardians are gonna basically be required everywhere for protection spam and aegis spam(possible blinds) as well as thieves for blinds. Or cause a trinity which once again guardian will be on the better side for tanks due to easy protection access, blinds, and aegis.

For the most part if I’m pugging I advertise prefer zerker, as long as I only get 1 or 2 non zerkers its fine, hell even if theyre spec’d zerker but geared elsewise its still decent enough, the damage modifiers are huge in the zerker specs. All I ask is if you’re not running full zerker spec, don’t have it be a selfish spec(guardians AH/meditation, sadly most don’t realize quite how selfish the valor line is(and I’m using guardian as example purely because I know it best)). If they say something when they join its cool but if they hide it and expect to go unnoticed/carried(if they’re a selfish spec) I’ll be booting them right at the end.

Thing is unless you try and bring in a trinity, you’re going to end up with 4dps’ers and whatever else you need. Games with trinities you don’t complain that 5-man dungeons are always 1 healers 1 tank and 3 dps, why isnt it 1 healer 2 tanks 2 dps?

Not sure what other pvp games you play, but when you’re talking high end, there will always be an optimal build, just be glad we’ve always remained an optimal class to bring. Higher up you get the more streamlined everything gets. If you’re wanting one class to be able to do everything at high end competitions, only way to make that fair is have only 1 class in the game. For lols i use to run around on my guard in zerker gear with sword focus and JI, pop focus 5 wait til the last second and JI to the person and see a ~9k crit while also using zealot’s defense. Of course with my 11k healthpool if another zerker/spiker sees me and I don’t see him I’m dead just as easily.

Stop expecting to be viable to do everything at the top, because if the games balanced that wont happen, and our classes initial design/natural disposition is defensive.

One thing I would like to see is the gap between base health pools slightly reduced.

@Fortus, it’s useless discussing, Developers didn’t made something useful about it since release, in their game Thieves gonna oneshot, bishot, trishot you anyway, and thief users won’t admit its facerollOP bringing water to their own watermill.
They’re worse than phiranas, even if you politely ask some good discussion they are going to strip the flesh off you alive.
Just avoid, it’s a battle lost since the beginning.

don’t need to spam anything, its a 1-2-dodge like fighting alpha >.> fairly easy, numbers you’re quoting you must be glass or calling yourself hybrid when you’re still glass. Thief is generally a 1-chance gimmick class against any competent players relying on their elite to compliment their burst, either thieve’s guild or basilisk venom to solidify a backstab and heartseeker before you can move. I play it for lols because it kills bad players so easily, but against someone competent takes lots of work and 1 slip up and you lose. Now the most annoying thing abouts thieves is when they group backstab, generally 3+ is deadly fighting 2 is annoying but 3, you’re screwed if they time everything right.

After primarily playing PvP for the year+ since release, I have 850,000 glory(!!!) and 43 gold to show for it.

After buying two armor boxes, I now have 780,000 glory and 3 gold…

My two mains are both level 80. There is nothing else the vendor offers that I want or need.

So what do I do with 780,000 glory?

Better yet, who was the wise kitten at ANet that thought it would be funny to troll the PvPers by requiring gold with the glory reward purchases?

A few pvp’ers wanted them to just add gold to sPvP tried explaining to the poor saps that if they add gold to it they have to give value to gold in there and bam, it happened, needless to say the gold price is steep. Thankfully with wintersday theres a good glory sink to vacate your glory into for gold. Needless to say because I play a fair bit of everything I’m not really stuck in any situation. Can more or less afford what I want in what I want.

Had a few of those back when I was doing lots of tPvP, best ones were the ones that when they joined were kind enough to say they had little idea of what they were doing. At least from the start I knew the match was probably a loss, explained to them a few things of what I’d like to see them do, while I did things to keep the match fun once it seemed like a clear loss. At least now the queues are separate, that kitten yolo queue is a dangerous place.

Is there any official response as to it being an illegal activity (i.e. exploit) or not?

Edit: I would like to know this for sure, cause it seems pretty much like any other farm in the game (such as champ trains) and I would do it if they say it isn’t an exploit.

generally anything that resembles a farm in a pvp environment is considered cheating or exploiting to the player base, not necessarily the uppers, to them it might just be sad seeing something they worked on to try to be used fair being used in a way they didn’t ever intend or foresee.

I disagree about the compensation for us PvP players, we used to play for a 200 rank point chest/win, not 1000. We knew when it was unannounced that our rewards would be this low, and we decided to still play team arena. I don’t see a reason why Anet should use their PvP development time for something like this. We were aware of our low rewards, and yet we still played. It is not Anet’s fault for our decisions. Getting 1k rank points a win in the future should be taken as a gift.

finally someone I can agree with, every time they change something to make the time you’re more than likely gonna spend doing what you did before anyways you want to be compensated for the time before. you chose to do what you did. The difference between you and a farmer should be apparent in skill. Live knowing you’re more than likely a better overall player than him.

If they’re joining tourney due to it giving gold, they’re doing it wrong as “pve” players, they probably decided to give it a try and don’t enjoy the zerg that is hotjoin. But I think everyone can agree there should be a minimal rank 10 required or something around those lines for tourney pvp, at least that really doesn’t take long to get. Also considering the skyhammer farm fest that happened, and how ranks work even 10+ isn’t gonna save you from brain dead players but its a start right?

Took me probably about 200 tickets, attempting after long days at work was mostly pointless. Liadri certainly earned a few choice descriptions to my guildies on mumble, but being able to yell kitten yes when i got this was totally worth it. In comparison to beating her, normally, she’s an easy fight, this achievement made it hard. Those wanting nerfs to her, really just need to keep learning the fight because she probably cost me over 300 tickets for beating her normally and this achievement. Hardest part is learning, watching a video helps, but only way to really get better against her is trial and error. Needless to say I never wanna fight her again, and I totally wouldnt mind a title for this achievement. The mini just for beating her is pretty sick though!

AP is a hope meter, 6k+ok this run might go smooth less than 3k, probably wont go smooth and will have to explain. Without removing daily ap and possibly monthly ap lots of peoples ap is from just religiously doing those every day, ive missed over 4 months of dailies and monthlies and some living story stuff, but im just under 9k, because ive done almost everything pve oriented so my ap is hopeful, however i have people in my guild either ahead of me or behind me and without dailies and monthlies would be far below me, but theyre still hopeful, but may not know all the fights in all the dungeons.

Stop saying its useless but stop expecting it to guarantee anything, just when you see low ap dont get your hopes up, and if its high ap, still dont get your hopes up too far.

And to those arguing toughness, generally its Initiator>Toughness(every so slightly)>DPS, bosses ignore most aggro mechanics, they just seem rng aggro, so using a boss to figure out aggro mechanics is wrong. Whoever initiates if they have high dps or high toughness can generally keep the mobs on them the entire time, as long as their dps isnt crap if theyre built tanky.

He shouldn’t have an advantage that he earned by playing the content that you’re challenging him in..?

I think what you’re saying is, take out any character progression beyond level 80 please, I can’t handle someone being rewarded for their time, since I choose to spend my time elsewhere.

Most PvP players wouldn’t want this. Most PvP players want an level playing field where they can use their experience to outplay an opponent, not use their superior stats to beat them. That said, I don’t know if it should be nerfed or not. The majority of players who play WvW are not hardcore PvP players so do we cater for hardcore PvP players or the majority who are casual MMO players?

you do realize that WvW is in sync with PvE, hardcore PvP is HotM right next to the castle symbol, the crossed swords, where everything is balanced and accessible to everyone all the bonuses you get there are looks. Next to balance WvW, should everyone just be granted ascended gear too? They worked for it, I don’t have it, only bullkitten would be someone stacking it before a fight club, but there can’t be that many people that would be lame enough to do that I hope.

Well, I’m of the opinion that WvW should have taken the same route sPvP did with gear. But the time consumed for ascended, most players already have one class fully equipped with ascended/exotics. But with new content, your starting from scratch so many months into the game and the time gating is too much. Its a dilemma, I will have this buff in the near future, but I don’t want to own players simply because I have this buff, but that’s what is going to happen. Do you have this buff now?

No, I don’t have it, and I agree with you in that wvw should copy sPvP in a few ways, but if/when they do so, or separate it from PvE asking for progression buffs to be removed just shouldn’t happen. As of lately I’ve seen a fairly large influx of new players, not counting the time it takes them to get to 80, it would take at least a month to go from exotics to ascended, ya sure its just a few stats, but really, in an actual wvw battle that extra health isn’t game breaking, its a slight advantage from a serious time sink. If wvw does go the way of sPvP then gladly remove those kind of buffs, but also remove the wvw traits and instead wxp gets you better skins or what not because next oh this guys played more wvw and was able to kill me when i attacked him at my camp, he only survived because 5% defense to guards, nerf please. If 2500 health is soooo game breaking to you, I think its more l2p, at worst that’s four attacks on someone built full bunker, on someone built glass that’s one maybe two.

Since when has PvP suppose to have become more casual friendly than PvE?

Edit: The second one, from my understanding, is not recruitment. It’s a public announcement on where they decided to go and who else moved to DB recently (I’m sure most people would have liked to see who exactly went over). The “interested in credentials” seems more like a “shameless self-plug” sort of thing.

Either way, you should just do as most of your server does, accept it, roll with it and just stop giving a kitten! Like hell, guuman’s are known as chest thumpers and forum warriors, idgaf. Your server happened to be where a chunk of KN went when they weren’t having much success, in hope to do better. Dragonwagon/Wagonbrand, just lol and move on, unfortunately you guys will always look like that bandwagon server because you got large transfers from KN and started dominating everywhere but against T1 servers.

This content is around long enough to get enough chests from doing anything outside of sPvP/tPvP. You don’t need to spend gold or rl money, you know its rng don’t gamble if you don’t know the odds. As much as you all say the skins are “content”, at best they’re fluff, which means they’re unimportant and hardly considered content, since you all seem to think if its in the game its content and you deserve to have it after 2 days of the event. Please, check yourselves, I’ve only got one, ONE, 1.0, uno, une, after opening well over 1000 chests. Sure my wallet feels a little lighter in game, but hell, the best thing I find is joking around with friends and guildies about how terrible your luck is compared to their’s makes for some good laughs. Chill out, it’s fluff, grow up, and get the kitten over it!

i learned of exploit from in game and after getting your team slaughtered because the opposing team had 3+ players using it, you decide, play this and get slaughtered, use it and learn how to kill them(yes its possible, 5 man spike using skill 1+2) or the middle red ball, or avoid it.

to the people looking for bans, lol really? A. there would be a huge wave of bans, and its a holiday event that in no way breaks the game, if they got loads of coffers from it maybe, but truthfully just removing all event items from inventory and resetting event achieve tracks would be more reasonable. B. this hardly breaks the game, almost every big patch theres an exploit and i almost never hear of bans unless it netted them stupid amounts of gold or weapon skins or something more rng based.

I find the greatest factor is who initiates, if someone with high burst/dps like a warrior initiates they’re gonna get threat entire time, however on my guard if i flash in and initiate i hold aggro from the burst war unless i switch to ranged.

Initiator>>>>>Proximity>>>Toughness>Damage, atleast from my experience difference between damage and toughness is basically ignorable, and that most bosses either pick a random target and stick to them(could just be that each phase picks the initiator and haven’t noticed) or pick a random target constantly through out the fight.

Tested this mostly with a good warrior buddy of mine on my guardian whenever he started combat he held aggro, told him to let me start combat. After we started doing that for the most part, he didn’t have to deal with more than the occasional cleave damage.

I may not be hardcore wvw, @T3 still have yet to encounter any zerg that causes skill lag, some fps reduction yes, skill lag no, but cant vouch for t1+t2. Hate to break it to you lower tiers that are trying show of your l33t skillz, but theres still roaming groups in the higher tiers, if they do their job right they wreak havoc on the enemy zerg, causing it to split or eliminating supply. Thats tactics and strategy right there, but as a roaming group you have to know if youre caught youre dead. Only during reset/weekend is there queue times usually just EB, occasionally a BL but even at its worst its like 10 minutes and you can still enter another BL where something happening.

Now, I’d hate to be on a lower tier server, arrowcarts would make it impossible for a 5man group to take anything, 1 person gets into that tower and its GG for you “skilled” roamers!

However I feel lots of classes can end up in the S category if built and played right, I just think for most people+little bit of google, will put you effectively in these tiers. The biggest threats imo when played right are actually, Engi, Necro and Ranger, usually Necro and Ranger being the easier of the 3 to actually seem OP. All this defending by rangers for rangers is bull and they dont want a nerf to their OP condi/bunker build that hits like a truck and allows them to run if they get overwhelmed. Necro has strong conditions and can be a very strong bunker to the points where I dont ever choose to face one 1v1.

Seriously? only issue you should have with s/d would be panning your camera often enough to see estimately where they open from, you have ranged aoe, so they arent going to try and sit on point and out range you. Fight where they ported in, because when they port back theyll port on you then they wont be able to port around everywhere without using cooldowns to “double port”. Theyll save their cooldowns for condition removal/stun removal, fight where they ported from and they wont be an issue to keep track of, pretty much all their skills port to target and then port back. Shadowstep and shortbow 5 are the exceptions(iirc).

FYI, im finding the good bunker necros by far the most deadliest especially for a thief, theyll CC us and heal half our burst so we cant down em. Maybe you need to spend more time learning other classes main/popular abilities, then go back and learn your necro to hit most of their weaknesses.

Btw a good necro can out condition 1 persons condition removal, even a guardian. Never over stack and force the cleanse, let the 5 stacks tick away if they cleanse put 5 more stacks on with some poison, because either theyll waste their cleanse on little condition stacks, or theyll whittle away, then you just have to survive, if they waste their cleanses you burst em full of conds and watch em drop. Atleast the “good” necro’s i’ve faced are capable of it.

New Laptop

It’s not so much that I prefer, but currently it’s a lot easier for me, allows me to bring my comp to work and friends. Also lack a monitor, and keyboard(can go without speakers got a decent headset) and I have no idea how to build a pc. And I used that site looking at the gpu, and 330m was actually expected to get better fps than 5650 despite the 5650 being a better card overall. My old lappy was lucky to hit constant 30 and everything was minimum or off, usually closer to 15. Also currently if I had a pc I would have no foot space left where I’m at :P

So my last laptop called it quits, looking at another one atm don’t have much money atm, just needing some answers for what to expect. Last lappy was i3 2.4ghz, 4gb ram and ati/amd hd mobility radeon 5650 1gb, best I saw was 30 fps at all minimum and 1300×900 res(I think). New lappy looking at is i5 2.26ghz(turbo boost available), 4gb ram, and nvidia GeForce gt 339m 1gb, will it be worse? Better? Or close to the same? (Both old and new are duo core)

Confusion needed a nerf, I cleanse confusion the best I can, have 3 utils that cleanse my resolve, every 10s I remove 2 conds, and the rate you can stack it back is just dumb, literally if a mesmer knows how to use confusion, you run outa cleanses because he doesn’t use all his confusion skills just enough to give you enough stacks to have you cleanse and continuously does so. The way a good mesmer stacks confusion is either they force you to attack killing yourself eventually because you run out of cleanses or buries it under other conditions so even after you manage to cleanse it hes filling you up with it again, and if you don’t attack, you either run or get auto attacked dead because he doesn’t need to even try.

Pretty sure its “nerfed” in sPvP and im sorry but its still a threat there too, the nerf hitting even at least wvw is well due. You have enough utility that a nerf to you’re basically marquee condition isn’t gonna really kill you guys, just learn something other than glamour mesmer.

FYI: if you have issues with thieves don’t build glass and learn to cc, shadow refuge is fairly easy to take care of you just have to knock them out once, its only an issue if they have stability granting teammates around, oh shadow refuge revive, knockback where the downed guy was. Maybe actually learn to pvp instead of just blowing all your CD’s at the start of the fight in hope of winning in a quick burst fest. And I’m sorry in pvp conditions are actually way more useful than direct dmg, because if someone knows how to apply them, you run out of cleanses and theyre still putting conditions back on you.

Wanted to rant about how you want to be this god that can wipe zergs with your ele AoE… but too much effort. Simple, if you remove dmg AoE, remove my staff limit on both my attack and on empower, remove cap to Shadow Refuge and Mass Invisibility… now just imagine how “fun” wvw would be… people would just stealth zerg.. and youd be all like woot buff’ed aoe, time to destroy zergs… dead… zerg suffering from reveal debuff… now you come back to forums, omg put limit on friendly aoe skills… why? because you have this feeling that you should be able to wipe the floor with large number of players, with one skill maybe 2.

Maybe you haven’t heard this before, but in battle, in war, there is safety in numbers.

Kind of a random idea that came to me, maybe theres a max amount of gems available to be in the market like they say. say its something stupid like 500 trillion or some extremely large number that stops it from having massive shifts but smaller controlled one. Well when you buy gems with gold it subtracts from that total, and then when you buy gold for gems it adds to the total, unless that total is maxed out(which is highly unlikely ever to happen) resetting the price to release price. The closest way ANet get to manipulating the market is by putting new things into the gem market they know will sell, discount bag and bank slots, the kitten quaggan back pack, discount character slots, things like that, that get a lot of peoples attention. Then people are spending their gold on gems and usually excessive gems because the smart people know that the price will climb as more and more people notice the item/sale. We control the price, it just plummeted probably due to people who bought gems at 50-90s and at almost 1.7g figured its worth while to clear their stock before someone else beats them to it.

So, to the OP, the supply is not unlimited it is just so large that currently it doesn’t matter. You aren’t about to have everyone sell all their gems, and have enough gold even at minimum price, buy them all to find out how many they use as a maximum. The price is how many is in the exchange, not the world, you buy some price goes up because theres less supply in the exchange. So people sit on their gems until their paid price is nothing compared to get from selling. The base amount of gems is/was so large that they don’t need to create more, when someone buys gems and exchanges for gold, if it was at maximum capacity the gems they bought and exchanged would just disappear.

Pretty sure the idea of a level 35 dungeon, is that its endgame for 35’s. So, just like any other MMO, until you’re geared up, or leveled passed you should expect to wipe, especially on the final boss. There is also no hard mode or the like, so it needs to be straight up challenging, so, the likely hood of actually forming a team of 35’s without coordinating it specifically with friends and a guild isn’t very high, and if you choose to, well, you’re the one making it more difficult than it needs to be. If you’re leveling an alt, let the others bring their 80’s problem solved. It needs to be difficult for geared 80’s otherwise it is back to how it was and how CoF p1 is, afk/brain dead farm mode. Difficulty is a good thing especially for new players, so they can learn mechanics earlier and if its not grueling and punishing then they really don’t learn, and then hopefully they won’t expect to be able to rofldps things in 1 spot. Stopping them from thinking everything is going be so easy and gear is going to be handed to them on a silver platter.

Spider Queen is kinda frustrating with or without hatchlings up, but manageable as long as you keep your team spread out and know how to dodge, as long as you don’t go down in a poison cloud, quick revival from 1-2 players and you’re all back in the fight. Kholer is easier now (learn to dodge if you think otherwise), unfortunately didn’t encounter the troll, so I can’t say anything about him.

P1, other than discovering graveling hatchlings can roflstomp you with bleed was fairly easy. P2, well was ghost buster mode and took way too long and felt lame and unrewarding at the end, with a PuG could imagine how frustrating this could be. P3, wiped twice, but found a simple fix, lure colossus up 2 or 3 of the flights of stairs(at the back towards the hidden jumping puzzle) and fight there, keep you backs to the wall so he doesn’t send you flying, and then just loldps until he’s dead.

PS: be happy there’s less Graveling Scavengers, and the ones that are there now, don’t one shot you solo if you get caught off guard.

On maguuma, will mostly rep my main guild but ill probably pop on at night(late) since thats when im usually on. Jp rewards are daily and random.
So the first time in a day you get a random karma (jug,flask,glup), 3 presents, snowflakes and a tonic or a gem store booster.
If you do it again in the same day you only get 3 presents.
In the next day you will get again the daily reward i mentioned above.

After 1 week of that jumping puzzle and you people still havent figure that out? kitten

Um karma bit was exactly what I was asking about because from my experience it looked like it just decreased in size daily. Instead of being a kitten and indirectly stating that you think us idiots, could’ve cut the last bit of your post out. And obviously there seems to be an occasional bug effecting random people.

these event one’s happen to be that’s probably why you get to craft a few, instead of you know hoping they drop, and so they could put them on the gem store and make some quick $. I’m sure they could go back to RNG entirely but I’d prefer a guaranteed few over guaranteed none, plus wait a year and maybe they’ll give you a chance to craft them again, or maybe run a repeat later this upcoming year?

You do realize in most games events are usually gold sinks of RNG for the unlucky, and for the lucky its a way to possibly get rich or feel special, and of course the super rich just keep getting richer because they can control the markets. World of Warcrafts seasonal events are a good role model for Anet since they don’t have a massive failure of an RNG rate on monster dropped items and the rest can be easily obtained.

Played WoW for a couple years… the thing was, there was no real huge event drops that really got too much attention in the first place…

don’t worry about the white knights necrid. they’re just mad cause your punching wholes in Anets multiple bought “Game of the Year” titles. As for the topic I believe we should grill Anet more about this horrible RNG success/failure percentage.

We’re not, or at least I’m not trying to defend ANet. However blaming them for RNG regardless of percentages on the drops is pointless. Even if they were higher doesn’t mean he would have got anything, and it still would have been a complete gold sink, I know someone who got the unbreakable bell, some people have luck with RNG others don’t. Personally I don’t so I try to avoid the gold sink as much as possible because I also can’t afford to risk it. Stop blaming someone else for what is just purely bad luck. You have an issue with RNG don’t blow your money on something with the hope that maybe just maybe you’ll get the drop, because you probably won’t and you’ll have been better off just farming ore or some kitten!
