I was disconnected, but I got back and finished the match. When I tried to join another game… the system gives me 1 HOUR of dishonored status.

Sometimes simply waiting for a game to start could end up with dishonored status.

If a old system from original GW is brought back, at least make it work the way it should, for [..] sake.

I am getting black screens again. It use to happen about twice a week, but today it happened 4 times within 10 mins.

Situation: just playing unranked and all of sudden my screen goes black. The game is still connected, I can hear the sound of skills when I press buttons and background music.

I know there are already topics about this but they didn’t offer any help. (or I didn’t find it).

So, I’m I alone on this? I know is not hardware failure because all my steam games works just fine.

I want my warrior to wear a skirt and slippers.

But I Cant.

I understand that there are race restrictions on armors, but class restrictions are… getting in the way of my passion for fashion.

Are there technical difficulties to have all class chose whatever they want to wear from all three professions? Or is this the way this game was made to make us play other classes for their armors.

I would love to chose a set of light armor (with medium here and there) on on top of my warriors helm so I can feel like a cloth designer.

I thought it was just temporary, but I kept getting black screens after the recent patch while playing gw2. This bug happens at random and I have no idea how to fix it.

Uninstall maybe?
Restarting computer? (trying this after this post)

If there is a easy fix I would love to not to reinstall the entire game.

I am making a indie game project ( extreme low budget and no hope of a hit ). It is just a test run and one of my plot line fits perfectly with the name Sea of Sorrows.

I came up with the name first, then I remembered that GW 2 has the exact name under one of the maps.

I’m sure through out history, there are plenty of “Sea of Sorrows” flying around, but just to be sure, can I use “Sea of Sorrows” commercially? Or is it a violation against copyright laws?

ps: I have no money to ask professionals.

I don’t know how to develop a game, but keep up a content that was already made into the game should not be so difficult right?

Yes, the game is unbalanced, and there are exploits for both the seeker and the peasant, but that does not take out the fun because it is a mini game, and there are no leader board for it!

I am looking forward to Snowball fight arena during new year as well.

Silver Waste and Dry Top was barely playable for me, because I have a computer built before 2010.

Is HOT going to require the same graphic and CPU capability as Silver Waste and Dry Top areas? If yes, then to my disappointment, I will have to wait for a new computer before I would even think about purchasing the expansion.

Our game finished a long time ago, but for some reason all the players are unable to leave map. I tried to log out, exit the game application, and even restart computer, but me and some other players are unable to get out of the map.

If any devs are looking at this, please let us out >.<.

The Account jump on sell on Aug 21th, in less than two weeks this item discounted from 2000 gems to 1803.

I love discounts, but I feel like being cheated.

First of all, it is unfair for those that already brought the account jump with 2000 Gems. As for the rest of us, who wants the item but lacks the founds, this move made by anet just made us hesitate. Is like real estate, why buy the house now if the house is on its way to decrease in price? Maybe people should just wait and see if the price will drop again?

what is the point of this feature?

Everything shows on world map and mini map indicates the mission points for map completion. but hero’s points does not show up until you are close enough.

I understand that it makes no sense to change our race because of our personal stories, But a class change item that can be brought on trade post should not be too much of a problem right?

According to your, it seems like at this stage of this game, it is way to late to change anything to the skill visuals, because it takes too much effort to redo all the effects and add options. I believe Anet is way too busy to worry about us not able to see shiet.

How can you dodge when your targeted enemy is in a ball of fire and animation effects?

I died too many times and took too many hits from a target that I could not possible identify due to all the skill visual effects.

Are there any ways for me to completely get rid of the skill visuals? That way the next time I fight Mossman or something human sized, it won’t be just a guessing game.

I’m looking at you guardian, you and you pooping torch and burn effects.

RIght now the game is very boring unless you pvp and wvw alot.

Cause: I was frastrated when fighting Mossman because all the skill visual effects that covered him up and I can not see if he is about to attack or just walking around.

Effect: I had to switch to range weapon( I dislike range weapons ) to fight him just so I dont get killed.

Same thing happens in dungeons and WvW and PvP, countless times, I was blinded by friendly and enemy visual effects that eventually caused my death.

I can see this as a strategy in pvp and wvw, but PLEASE, can we just turn it off or to a minimum in pve events.

Cause: I was rezing a downed player while a Boss is trying to kill me with an attack in fractals. I reacted fast enough to press dodge before the attack hit me. But, my character did not move a inch.

Effect: I was downed too and so did another member and we had died and started the boss battle all over again.

So, I would love it very much if dodge can automaticlly cancel all my pervious actions and just…. i dont know, DODGE?!?!?

iirc, way before launch, there was a blog post by ANet saying they weren’t going to have a build saver as they wanted people to be attached to their builds, for their builds to be a meaningful part of their character.

I remember it because I was playing Guild Wars 1 at the time and I thought that was a strange thing to want. I had numerous builds saved in that game and while I didn’t switch daily, the build saver was extremely useful. I couldn’t see how it wouldn’t be something to have in this game, but they wanted us to have, it sounded like, an emotional attachment to our builds, or something. /shrug.

So that seems to be the reason why they didn’t put build savers in the game at launch.

If they really did not create the save/load feature on purpose because of the reasons you stated…….

I would be the first one to call them a i.dio.t.

If they want me to get attached to a build, they better let me have full customization, I need to be able to change around all skill slots like gw1, I need to able to inpute voice for every skill I use, etc.

There is a permenant hair style kit you can buy for 800 golds.

I was switching dungeon build to a little more survival oriented build for fractal just a few mins ago. And all of sudden I remembered something.

I remember that back in GW1, we use to able to save our builds and gears and load them later on. We could also name our builds so we know which are which.

So, why don’t we have the old feature back? Its convinent, it saves me the trouble of clicking more than once. sounds like a generaly good idea to me.

This has both a yes and a no answer. Yes, if you’re looking for a (relatively) inexpensive way to get the best stat weapons. No, if only about a 5% increase isn’t worth it to you. It is cheaper in both the long and short run to make ascended than legendary. If all you’re after is stats though, go for the ascended.

I agree with him, but I think 5% might be a little to big lol more like 2%… or 1.
anyways, I dont think ascended weapons are worth the effort and money, craft armors instead. full ascended armor and trinkets are enough to have max agony resist anyways.

A very experienced player told me( a very inexperienced player ) a very shocking “fact”.

The cause: I was watching cutscenes in COE story.

After we finished the story dungeon one of the player told me that if I watch cutscenes in dungeons without telling anyone I will have a 90% chance of getting kicked out of the dungeon.

So I did some math.

I ran about 30 to 40 dungeons so far and I been kicked maybe 3 times because I was low level, but none of those times are about watching the movie.

So I told this lovely friend that his math is wrong and its not correct to say that I have a 90% chance of getting kicked because i was watching movie.

The reaction I get from him is that I am an achivement point 1000 new player and I should not claim to be a expert.

We started to debat about it and I dont feel like loseing the battle :P

So, here I am, seeking justice on the fourm.

I was tricked by Anet!!!!

so I thought the platium edition and thinking it is for all the games including eye of the north.
WRONG.
I brought the game and find out it only gives the first one and the eye of the north and not factions and nightfall

I should have brought the trilogy and eye of the north seperately instead.

This makes me feel like the first time Im buying insurance.

So I was going to buy gw 1 just for the hack of it since I got extra money from last month’s paychecks.
I decided to check on steam first. The price on steam is 29.99 for the trilogy and another 19.99 for eye of the north.
It seems a little unreasonable since the game is out for awhile now and gw2 is already out.
So, like any smart customers out there I checked the price on other websites. The first one I searched for on google is of course, gw 1 official.
Suprise suprise! 19.99 for the whole package platinum edition.

I am making this post because…..
FIrst, I think I made a smart move so I like to share it and rub it on others that brought gw 1 from steam.

I have 6 in strength and 6 in arms, I have 15% from berserker’s might, 10 % from increase damage to bleeding foe. 10% on greatsword damage increase. 25 stacks of might and 25 stacks of bloodlust. full zerker.

and yet, I can only deal about 20k damage with this set up?

How come I have never seen that number go up to 30k like everyone else?

Im I doing something wrong here?

I wanted to buy a $100 worth of gems last night and this morning, but both time the gem story give me this error message “unfourtunately a error has occurred, please try again later.”
Do I need to adjust my settings somewhere or is it the problem of the gem story and I really have to wait for later?
