ive go in with a perfect team cps-ingi-chrono-necro-druid all perfectly exp.
We have first try 1st and 2nd boss easy without any fall. we go on 3rd boss , 100% to 30% under 5min. after 30% every die. how to dps anomaly on a disapear ground while get dammage by elit mesmer atk from boss while he do his dammage’s pull in same time , while red balls every where… every ppl die under 20sec… just insane.

If you stand inside the anomaly’s shield, it will remove the damage from the reactor’s electricity fields – so while it may not be safe in the middle, you can step inside it on the outside lanes and be safe

Since it’s on a timer, the anomaly can spawn during the bloom phase, this is intended. If you’re having trouble dealing with both mechanics at once, you can hold DPS just before the bloom phase thresholds (80, 50, and 30) and wait for that mechanic to play out before pushing him into a transition.

Haven’t played myself yet, but, is 100CM the same as before but without bugs now or are there other adjustments to difficulty, phases?

We made quite a few changes, but the major change to 100CM was in the ways the bloom phase functioned, as well as the blooms themselves:

  • Blooms now bounce off walls instead of sticking to them
  • Blooms now occur at 80%, 50%, and 30% – and no longer occur based on a timer. This means you always get to choose when you encounter the bloom phase.

We also fixed various bugs, so the encounter should be a lot smoother now.

After roughly 20 hours on Arkk 100CM

Damage in T4 fractals is in a weird spot right now, especially in the older fractals. Our new fractals focus on damage from sources that are more visibly telegraphed, and we’re moving forward with that design philosophy for all of our reworks and new releases.

No one likes being killed by something they didn’t see coming, and while some of the current damage sources are fair, many of them feel too punishing. You’re going to see this become more balanced as time goes on and we get more reworks out.

Today’s release of Nightmare shows off this new encounter design framework in full force, I encourage you to take a crack at it and let us know what you think.

Just wanted to pop in and say that Ben Arnold (who built the new bloomhunger) and I have been keeping an eye on this thread since we released the updated Swamp. While I can’t promise anything, I can say we agree that the fight could use a bit more tuning to bring in line with the difficulty level we’d like to achieve while still being a fun experience for new and veteran players alike.

When we have more information to share, you’ll be the first to know. For now, know that your thoughts are not falling on deaf ears.

Was this your first kill (or anyone’s first kill) of Sabetha?

Hi Cameron, thanks for the update! When you guys announced the HoT fractals update you stated the following:

“The one final step of taking your precursor and transforming it into the legendary backpack is called Ad Infinitum. However, we’ll come back to discuss how that component works—and how it ties into our next steps for the Fractals of the Mists within Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns—in the future. For now, though, I can tell you that just like existing legendary items, players will need to collect components from all over Tyria. To craft each stage of the precursor backpack, players will need to obtain a new salvage item from ascended equipment. And that leads us to our next topic…”

Hello Players!

In preparation for the launch of the new fractals system alongside Heart of Thorns, we’ll be disabling the Fractals of the Mists instance for a short time period on Thursday Night.

From 11:00pm PDT on October 22nd until the moment Heart of Thorns content becomes available, Fractals of the Mists will be inaccessible. Anyone already inside the instance may be removed from the instance at that time.

Once Heart of Thorns is available, the new version of the fractals instance will become available to all players.

As a reminder, we will not be resetting your player scale, so you may play the new fractals starting from whichever scale you had previously achieved.

We’ll see you in game!

What do you do at ArenaNet? (Descriptions of the work you do are preferred over just a job title!)

I’m the Embedded QA for the Raids and Fractals teams. I’m in charge of our content from an overall quality perspective, so that means I write test passes, do reviews, set up internal playtests, and generally make the team mad by breaking things.

What has been your involvement with Raids?

I was brought onto the team a while back to oversee the content for QA and drive our testing plan forward. I’ve set up internal testing plans and spearheaded a few changes in how the QA process works, so that it fits better with how raids are developed.

What feature of Raids are you most excited about? (Obviously just the bits you’re authorized to talk about!)

So, so much. The team has done an amazing job taking Raids and turning them into something unique to Guild Wars 2, even in the small subtleties. I’m personally excited to see the strategies people come up with to take down our encounters. We have our own, but who knows what will become the “meta”!

What’s a funny story about something that’s happened to you or your party while play-testing Raids? (Obviously no spoilers! )

One of the developers crippled everything during some of our early playtests, causing MASS mayhem. They are now dubbed “The Crippler.”

What was your favorite encounter from the existing dungeon/fotm content? Why?

I absolutely adore the Molten Duo boss fight in fractals. It’s always a blast for me. For dungeons, I really enjoy the Subject Alpha encounters! And who can forget Lupi!

We’ve spent a lot of time and poured a lot of love into this content, and simply cannot wait for players to get their hands on it.

I believe this, and that’s why I’m giving HoT a shot. As others have mentioned, though, it’s hard to have faith that the content won’t be left to rot shortly after release. All the developer passion in the world won’t matter if the higher-ups decide to axe the content.

Please tell your bosses to take instanced PvE seriously this time around. I’d like to be able to tell friends that this game is worth getting invested in again.

We’re definitely serious about raids. It’s something that players have wanted (including myself) for a long time, and we’re hoping to deliver a truly special experience.

ArenaNet stopped supporting Dungeons with new content 3 years ago.
ArenaNet stopped supporting Fractals with new content 2 years ago.
ArenaNet stopped supporting Guild Missions with new content 2 years ago.
ArenaNet stopped supporting Raids with new content.. starting Oct?

Ultimately I only bring this up because ArenaNet has a strong history of not supporting us with new content. I just wonder when this will happen for raids too, another aspect some of us will grow to love and it will then lose support. With that said, they are adding supposedly new world bosses that are challenging, so we got that going for us?

Fractals is getting a revamp and additional rewards (like the new weapon skins we announced) with the expansion. You can read more about this here:

We’re serious about delivering quality, challenging encounters with our raid content, and as Steven said in our announcement of Raids, we have 3 raid wings being developed, the first of which will become available shortly after HoT launch. These raids are going to be intense, and ask of players not just their time, but their skill.

Don’t just take my word for it, this weekend we’re allowing you to play our content as part of the Beta Weekend Event. We’ve spent a lot of time and poured a lot of love into this content, and simply cannot wait for players to get their hands on it.

Static fractal schedule

To clarify on what the “Static Schedule” means:

Old System:
Every time you load in from Dessa’s Lab, a random fractal is chosen. If you want to play Swamp, you have to leave and re-enter, “rerolling” until you get that fractal.

New System:
Upon loading in from Dessa’s Lab, you are placed in a particular fractal depending on which scale you are playing at. If you want to play Swamp, all you’ll have to do is enter at a scale associated with it.

So these will change daily? Or will certain levels always be locked into certain fractals?

Had to delete my last post because of forum shenanigans. For Clarity:

Scales will now have a specific assigned Fractal associated with them. So certain fractal scales will have you play through the Swamp Fractal, others will be Mai Trin, etc. Each existing fractal has been associated with a number of scales, so you’ll see all of them multiple times on your ascent to fractal scale 100.

With this change, it will be easier for groups who want to practice strategy against a certain fractal to jump right in and play. Additionally, it paces out the rate at which you experience certain Fractals, so you don’t have to fight the same encounters over and over again!
